About: I have been caring for pets my entire life. I have always had at least two or three cats and dogs or two. I have raised puppies and cared for elderly pets. I have cared for diabetic cats and dogs with cancer. I understand the importance of following pet parents instructions when caring for other’s animals because each pet has very different needs. I am free right now all days but Tuesday which is when I attend classes at SFSU. I am free for dogs walks or dog sitting all days but Tuesday as long as I have a days notice. I live in an apartment with no yard right now down the street from lake Merrit. There is a dog park just 1 block down the street with a fence that I will walk dogs down to 4-8 times a day depending on the needs of the dog. We do have a large apartment and very pet friendly environment.

About: *I only board dogs from one home at a time and do not own any pets myself!* I love to jog around Lake Merritt, and I'd be happy to take your fur baby along for a run! I've cared for dogs and cats, healthy and sick, with very specific dietary restrictions and activity needs. I wish I could have my own pet, but since I travel pretty often, this is the next best thing. :-) I’m a Product Manager with a hybrid work schedule. Rest assured, I can easily get from work to home on in-office days for walks/drop-ins if needed. I also work at a dog friendly office. I am available most days for drop-ins 2x/day. On weekday evenings, I typically go on runs (with/without dogs!). Expect many photos of your fur baby while you're away! I'm happy to drop in to check on food, water, litter (for cats), and take your pup on walks. I am very detail oriented, so if you have very particular instructions regarding diet or preferences while outside, you can trust me to follow them. For boarding, I have bowls for water and food as well as doggy waste bags. You would need to provide their food, treats, toys, (litter for kitties), and anything else to make their stay more comfortable!

About: My family’s had 2 Havanese dogs a little over 3 years now and I take care of them regularly when they go out for the night or leave town. In addition I occasionally sit for family friends who have a Yorkie and used to watch a neighbor’s cat when she was still with us. As an Athletic Director on summer break, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, check-ins, or simply providing companionship, I can be available throughout the day to ensure your pet receives the care, exercise, and attention they deserve. I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment for every pet. In a client's home, I follow their pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and plenty of attention and affection. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a clean, pet-friendly space with regular exercise, supervision, and opportunities for play and relaxation. My goal is to make pets feel secure, loved, and well cared for while giving owners peace of mind through reliable communication and updates.

He has something special with animals, both dogs came right up to him and started snuggling; if you knew my dogs you would understand what a big deal this is. He took both of them on the walk and when he came back both dogs looked happy and tired. The dogs stayed with him while he was saying goodbye and the cat now loves him. I would recommend Kalen!”

About: I offer a quieter, more individualized kind of dog sitting. I only take dogs from one household at a time, so your dog won’t be sharing the space with a rotating group of other dogs. That allows me to give them a lot of individual attention and to keep their routine as familiar as possible. I’m a licensed acupuncturist and a therapist in training, so being reliable and observant is a big part of my professional life. I’m also very conscientious about following your instructions closely. I know how much the little details matter, and I make a point of keeping track of feeding schedules, medications, walks, sleeping arrangements, and the routines that help your dog feel at home. I have firsthand experience caring for an anxious dog who later developed dementia and physical limitations. Because of that, I’m especially comfortable with senior dogs and dogs who are sensitive or easily overwhelmed. I understand how much patience and consistency can matter when a dog needs extra support. I’m especially available on weekends, when I can spend plenty of time with your dog rather than fitting visits around a packed schedule. Depending on their personality and energy level, we might have a quiet day at home, take neighborhood walks, or head out to places like Piedmont Park, the Albany Bulb, or the beach. I want your dog to feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away, and I want you to feel completely confident that someone is really paying attention to them. Pet care fits best into my schedule on weekends, when I have plenty of time to give dogs attention, walks, companionship, and a relaxed home environment. I’m generally available from Friday evening through Sunday and can often accommodate weekend boarding or daytime care. During the week I work a regular professional schedule, so I’m intentional about only accepting bookings when I know I can provide the time and attention a pet needs. When a dog is staying with me, I want them to be part of my routine rather than squeezed into it. I take safety and trust seriously and make a point of following each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. In my home, I provide a calm, comfortable environment and make sure dogs have appropriate supervision, regular walks and potty breaks, fresh water, and plenty of attention. I’m careful about feeding instructions, medications, leash safety, and any behavioral or health concerns you share with me. I also like to know about a dog’s personality, triggers, routines, and preferences ahead of time so I can help them feel comfortable and settled. If I’m caring for a pet in your home, I’m respectful of your space and follow your instructions closely. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away.

About: I’ve grown up with cats and kittens my whole life and continued adopting them as an adult — animals have always been at the heart of my home! I’ve raised and trained a puppy from 8 weeks old, cared for up to 3 medium-sized dogs at a time, and have experience housing and caring for rabbits, birds, and reptiles too. 🐶🐱🐰🦜🐸🦎 Your pet will be welcomed into a warm, loving home where they’ll be treated like family! I’m also a pet parent myself — my 1-year-old pup and 9-year-old cat are both incredibly friendly with people and other animals and absolutely love making new friends. About: I have been caring for dogs and cats since childhood and deeply love connecting with animals. I supported my last dog through her later years and have sensitivity to the needs of elder puppies. I also enjoy the energy of younger dogs and live right near San Pablo park for dogs who like to socialize. I mostly work from home with occasional in person meetings during the week. I am available for pet care throughout the week and can let dogs out to the back yard throughout the day. I live in a quiet but lively neighborhood with lots of great areas to walk and sniff. The back yard is fenced in and allows space to lounge in the sun. There are no other pets or humans currently in the house so it is very peaceful and quiet most of the time. I don't take dogs from more than one household at a time. I check in on the pets I care for regularly and track their emotional as well as physical needs, giving pets and butt scratches often!
