“Danielle is so patient with our new pup! He had an accident and she gave him a belly band with no issues at all. They took him to the beach for his one night stay this time. Chili loves Danielle and her fam!”

“This was such a great boarding experience! My pup is elderly and requires some patience and attention, and they were so kind and thoughtful with her. She got a bit sick on the first day and they let me know right away and were happy to make changes to her routine to work with it. I got consistent updates with pictures and felt totally certain that my dog was well cared for the entire time. Definitely one of the best dogsitters I've used through this site.”

“Chen and his family did a wonderful job taking care of Ume for the week. It was a last minute trip for me, so I was grateful for the quick response and many wonderful updates. He sent professional looking photos of my dog on their walks and daily routine. If you're looking for a dog sitter who will follow your dog's routine and communicate regularly, Chen's your dog sitter. His daughter was there to translate as well and that was helpful in person. I have already booked them for my next trip.”

“Mariola provided a kind a loving home for our dogs’ first overnight with her. She also provided us with some useful insights into their behavior. She was a clear and easy communicator throughout the process.”

“Christine was incredibly easy to communicate with, professional, and showed wonderful care for my dog Manchi! She navigated her anxiety and quirks so well, took her on a bunch of walks, and even gave me a polaroid of her holding a show, her favorite thing to do 😊”

“Niyuan is an excellent pet sitter. Very responsible and reliable, and she communicated clearly and consistently the entire time. She kept detailed records of feeding and care, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I really appreciated how she maintained open communication throughout, always keeping me updated. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and attentive sitter.”

“We are grateful for Leonard's care and very engaging messages and updates regarding The Best Boi Champers! We appreciate Leonard's experience with OG dogs, and it was clear that he was comfortable with caring for our special needs dog (needs meds, picky eater, health issues). Very communicative through the entire booking and that helped us feel very secure in our choice to book with him! 10/10, would book again.”

“Sherry is an AMAZING dog sitter!! I trusted her to care for my sweet but nervous 50lb girl, Ellie, and I could not have asked for a better sitter. Sherry was so thorough, she sent plenty of updates throughout and put me at ease! She was super responsive to my dog’s needs, and I could see Ellie just melting and falling in love with her through the updates. She’s got a lovely, clean and safe apartment and she is obviously someone who knows dogs well. I would trust Sherry with dog sitting ANY day! Highly recommend.”

“Madeleine was again a great sitter for our very high anxiety dog. She made him feel right at home snuggled under the blankets and soaking up the sun! Always friendly, flexible, and punctual!”

“Van Joseph and Matthew were fabulous dog sitters. They treated our dog like one of their own and gave her lots of attention. They were very communicative, sending frequent photo and video updates. We recommend them highly and will book with them again.”

“Latricia was amazing! Sent me pictures everyday to ensure my pup was safe and happy, and gave great feedback about his behavior when I picked him up. I will definitely trust her with my pup again!”
“Mary is absolutely incredible. Our dog, Finn, is a quirky senior who is often slow to trust strangers - within 24 hours of being with Mary, he was asking her for pets and cuddles! That tells you all you need to know. She was extremely communicative, sent us lots of cute pictures and overall left us so at ease knowing our little guy was cared for. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Nikita & Anthony are amazing dog sitters. I trusted them completely to take care of my older dog while I was out of town. Really sweet people and excellent communication- clearly dog lovers. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Robert was absolutely wonderful with our girl Phoebe on her first overnight! We were a bit apprehensive as Phoebe has separation anxiety but she was happily occupied with multiple walks and so much love! Robert's level of conscientiousness is unmatched and we completely entrust him with Phoebe's health and safety, including keeping her away from other dogs so her reactiveness isn't triggered. We couldn't ask for more!”

“Spunky did a trial overnight stay and Joann was super sweet and welcoming! I got regular updates, photos, and could tell that my dog was truly comfortable and well cared for.”

“Kelly was amazing! It was our first time leaving LuLu with anyone, and since she’s a quirky, bossy little old lady, we were definitely apprehensive about finding the right person who truly understood the needs of a senior pup. Kelly ended up being the perfect fit. We spent some time getting to know each other beforehand, and we immediately appreciated how thoughtful and prepared Kelly was, not only in making sure she was a good fit for LuLu, but also that LuLu would be a good fit for her. Throughout LuLu’s stay, we received frequent updates, photos, and videos that kept us informed on how her little dogcation was going and each message reassured us that she was in loving and capable hands. We were genuinely able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing LuLu was getting the best possible care. Thank you again, Kelly!”

“I had a fantastic experience with Sarah looking after my dog, Bash. From the start, it was clear that she was committed to keeping him physically engaged and safe. I really appreciated that she prioritized getting him out for plenty of long, vigorous walks. It was a huge relief to travel knowing that Bash was in capable hands, getting the exercise he needs to stay happy and tired. Beyond the activity, she kept me updated with check-ins and amazing photos (seriously I might frame one of them), which gave me complete peace of mind. I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a responsible, communicative, and active pet sitter. Both Bash and I are extremely satisfied customers!”

“Nikolai and his wife have a lot of experience watching after all breeds and sizes of dogs. My pup stayed with them along a large group of other pups over the holidays and we had an overall good experience with them. I was happy to know that our pup had plenty of friends to be with during his long stay.”

“Hope was recommended to us by another great Rover sitter, and we are really grateful. Hope is so friendly and knowledgeable about dogs and their behavior. She made Coconut comfortable immediately. Her little dog Rocky is adorable and super friendly. Coconut loved going for walks and playing with Rocky's toys. Hope was great with sending text updates as well as photos and videos. Here's hoping Hope doesn't get too busy to have room for Coconut the next time we need her!”

“Christina is amazing! Hollie was fresh off the streets and spent most of her time hiding from others, but Christina has helped immensely to get her used to the presence of people that don't look like me. ;) She's always been incredibly flexible and a joy to communicate with. Couldn't recommend her enough.”

“Jes is awesome and takes the best pics/videos of Cheezit! I appreciate coming home to a well cared for cat. Jes is also very thoughtful and will make sure Cheezit has a clean food area.”
“Richard is a gem. I was nervous about leaving our energetic young cat alone for a week for the first time, but the experience couldn't have been better from start to finish. He asked very thoughtful questions at our meet and greet about our preferences and our cat's needs. He responds quickly, has a relaxed and friendly demeanor, communicates well, and is an attentive caregiver. Our kitty needs to play hard each day to keep her from getting bored and destructive, and we came home to a relaxed and happy cat and an intact house. It was obvious she was well cared for. Highly recommend Richard!”

“Lydia is such a great sitter for our finicky cat and is so patient with her, coaxing her out with treats and toys! I appreciate the peace of mind Lydia brings knowing my cat is well taken care of when I’m away!”

“Zoe did a wonderful job watching after our shy kitty and even got her to come out of her hidey hole for some pets! Will definitely be booking her again for our next trip. Highly recommend.”

“We hired Jasmine to drop by and care for our cat Sparky while we were out of town for a few weeks. Even though it was on short notice, she was quick to respond, and setting things up was seamless. She stopped by every day without fail and sent us update pictures showing Sparky was happy and eating. Sparky also seemed to quickly take a liking to her, which isn't always the case as she can be a bit skittish. Would definitely hire again!”

“Will was very communicative, kind, and helpful! He took very good care of our cats and made them feel loved. Would definitely recommend him to others looking for a thoughtful and reliable cat sitter.”

“Shelly was wonderful and so caring during her drop in visits with my cat! You can tell how much she loves cats and that she is great with them. Highly recommend Shelly as a catsitter!”

“Sarah was wonderful with Bijou! He is a well-behaved dog but has a ton of energy, and it was clear that Sarah understood his personality perfectly. You could easily tell from the pictures she shared that he was having a blast. She took him on a couple of walks, and he came home completely happy and tired out from all the fun. I highly recommend Sarah for doggy day care and will definitely use her services again!”

“Latricia is the best! Pika has been at her place quite a few times and was happy every time he went! He also became good buddies with Latricia’s dog Prince. She would send me awesome pictures of Pika without me asking so I know he’s having a blast there!”

“I felt a little unsure of dropping my dog off to someone I didn't know but started to feel more comfortable the more I spoke with Hye. Then Rudy, my pup, and I met Hye in person and we both were put very much at ease. Hye and Rudy hit it off immediately and I was fine leaving him with her. Hye updated us with photos and really "loved" Rudy and my wife and I were able to relax and enjoy our evening. I would totally recommend Hye and her husband for the care of their family member.”

About: Animals have always been a very important part of my life. Growing up, my mother operated a small pet rescue and animal shelter organization in Asia, and from a very young age I helped care for rescued dogs, cats, and abandoned animals alongside her. Over the years, we helped rescue and rehome thousands of animals, many of whom came from difficult or traumatic situations. caring for animals feels completely natural to me. I do not see pets as “just animals.” I genuinely believe they are family members who deserve love, patience, emotional safety, and respect. In many ways, I believe animals carry one of the purest forms of unconditional love, and sometimes they deserve even more kindness and gentleness than humans receive. I have experience caring for pets with very different personalities, medical conditions, and emotional needs, including senior pets, rescue animals, anxious dogs, and cats requiring medication and special routines. I am highly attentive to behavioral changes, feeding routines, emotional comfort, cleanliness, and creating calm environments where animals feel safe and relaxed.

“Vito loooves Mariola and Lux! He had a great time staying there for the day. Mariola is attentive and patient and provides a safe and relaxed environment. We will definitely have Vito stay with her again.”

About: **Available after 3pm on M,Tu,W,Th, Anytime on F,Sat,Sun** I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and have always loved being around animals. Growing up, I regularly helped care for my family’s dogs whenever they needed support, which gave me plenty of hands-on experience with feeding, walking, playing, and making sure pets feel safe and loved. I’m also a cat parent to my two kitties, Michi and Kiki, whom I’ve raised since they were just 8 weeks old. They’ll soon be two years old! I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet with the same love and attention I give my own. I am currently a master’s student at UC Berkeley. Most days of the week, I end classes at 1pm, so I will be available after that, Sundays and Saturdays the whole day! I have a large apartment for your pup to play in! “Alexis is such an awesome sitter and she always goes above and beyond to keep me updated on my dog’s care. Receiving Alexis’ activity summaries and photos are a genuine highlight of my day. I will continue booking with Alexis for as long as I can!”

“Matthew was great with Winni! He took her for walks during the day while my husband and I were at work. He’s very professional, communicative, and dependable. We would definitely book him again!”

“Donovan was great with Bruno! Bruno could be a little anxious when meeting new people and Donovan was great at giving him space and waiting for Bruno to approach him. He applied all the “walking instructions” I gave him and Bruno seemed very comfortable with him. After the walk (our first), we all had some playtime in the house. Bruno loved playing fetch with Donovan, to the point where, while Donovan was about to leave, Bruno jumped on his lap and licked his hand (he only does that with people he trusts). Clearly Donovan loves pets and knows how to interact with them to make them feel safe. I’m looking forward to having Donovan walk and play with Bruno again!”

I can’t wait to meet you & your furry friend 🐾 As a freelance artist, I enjoy a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive, dependable pet care with plenty of time for walks, play, and companionship. “Becca is very good with communicating; they are attentive and comfortable with both of our dogs — they only walked our sweeter easier dog but at meet and greet, our energetic one, who is usually anxious around strangers seems to take on with Becca well — we would probable use their service again! Thank you Becca!”

“Arianna took such good care of our fur babies while we were away for the day. While taking them on their walks, she posted nice pictures of them enjoying the sun outside and they loved the extra attentions she gave them. She was so responsive and very easy to communicate with. She even brought in some of our Amazon packages that were on our doorstep, which we greatly appreciated! We highly recommend Arianna and look forward to booking her again!”

About: I’ve loved dogs for most of my life. About 16 years ago, I rescued a stray mother dog and brought her into my home, where she safely gave birth to her puppies. I cared for the little family until every puppy found a loving forever home. That experience deepened my love for dogs and showed me how rewarding it is to help them feel safe, loved, and happy. After moving to the United States, I began caring for dogs through Rover. I am working full time at Rover to help care for doggies, so I am always there for them. Since I am working full time for this, I can closely follow the doggie’s routines and note any special care they may need. In Irvine, I was grateful to earn five-star reviews and the trust of many wonderful families, with several becoming repeat clients. Now our family has moved to Berkeley because my daughter will be attending UC Berkeley. Hence, I’m accepting new clients in Berkeley!! I’m excited to continue caring for dogs in our new community. When choosing our new home, one of my top priorities was finding a place with a fully fenced private backyard so visiting dogs would have a safe, secure space to play, explore, and relax. Our new home has a lovely private backyard where doggies can walk in and out of our house freely and enjoy their time in the backyard as well. We also have a huge park (San Pablo Park) near our home, with an huge dog-friendly grass field, and I usually take doggies there for a walk. With 16 years of hands-on dog care experience, I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, senior, recovering from surgery, or simply needs extra love and attention, I’ll care for them with patience, kindness, and the same love I’d give my own family. My goal is simple: while you’re away, I want you to have complete peace of mind, knowing your dog is safe, happy, and loved like a member of the family. I also share daily photos and updates so you always know how your dog is doing while you’re away. I’m currently not working and can spend time with doggies all day long. I am able to provide well-rounded care to them and could spare lots of energy and love to them. I provide calm, structured, and attentive care tailored to each pet’s routine. In my home, pets are cared for in a clean, safe, and quiet environment with plenty of supervision. I follow the owner’s instructions closely for feeding, walking, and rest, and I keep daily routines as consistent as possible to help pets feel secure. I make sure pets get appropriate exercise, fresh water, timely meals, and lots of gentle attention. I also monitor behavior, appetite, and energy levels, and I communicate promptly with owners if anything seems off. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s familiar routine, providing reliable care, companionship, and updates so owners can feel at ease.
About: I've spent many years dog sitting and have a special place in my heart for reactive pups, seniors, and dogs with sensitive diets. I'm calm, patient, and attentive to each dog's unique needs. I'm happy to prepare special meals if your pup has dietary restrictions! While I do not have a large yard, I make sure dogs get plenty of outdoor fun walks, enrichment, and lots of love and attention. Your dog will be treated como familia while you're away. I currently work a hybrid schedule, so I have plenty of time for walks and activities throughout the day. If left alone, it is for no more than 4 hours. I'm available for weekend boarding and offer free pickup and drop-off. Your dog will be cared for in a calm, cozy one-bedroom apartment where they will be closely supervised and given plenty of attention. I intentionally keep a low-stress environment, and there are currently no other pets in the home, which can be especially helpful for reactive or older dogs who do best with quiet spaces. We're also located near green spaces, so your pup will enjoy regular outdoor walks, fresh air, and enrichment while staying safe and comfortable indoors.
About: I’ve taken care of pups since I can remember! I have nurtured puppies up until they’re senior pups; potty trained every single one and basically provided a nursery for them. Love all pups as if they’re my toddlers! Im currently pursuing an LLM in UC Berkeley and will be available on weekends and some days during the week! I’d be happy to care, play and love on your pups whenever I don’t have class. Unfortunately, I am not able to bring any of my border collies to Berkeley so I’m completely flexible to any needs your pup may have and all of my undivided attention!
“David was such a fantastic walker for our dog Nico- he came to do a practice walk beforehand and was super thorough, making sure he had all the info he needed from us. David was always communicative and punctual, and clearly took great care of Nico. Highly recommend!”

About: Attentive, attuned and respectful of different animals’ needs and personalities. Flexible schedule with own transportation. Proud mom to two senior pups and a tuxedo cat. Experience house sitting, dog walking, and kitty care dating back to college days, but taking advantage of a newly flexible schedule to connect with more animals after years of corporate work! My days are currently flexible outside of my daily morning yoga practice and splitting my own pet care with my partner, which currently includes a 30 minute lunchtime walk of my own pups. Open to working with your schedule. I understand that each pet’s and home’s needs are different. Let’s talk about what you need that can make this partnership mutually beneficial.
About: I bring over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, with a particular love and comfort level for well-behaved pups of any size. My care style is calm, attentive, and highly personalized. I focus on creating a relaxed, structured environment where dogs feel secure, understood, and genuinely cared for. I especially enjoy long walks, outdoor time, and thoughtful enrichment that keeps dogs mentally engaged as well as physically exercised. Whether your dog thrives on adventure, routine, or simply peaceful companionship, I tailor care to their individual temperament and needs. While I adore dogs of all sizes, I naturally connect with well-mannered large and giant breeds. Their personalities, presence, and gentle nature have always been my sweet spot. My Approach • Calm, grounded energy • Long, engaging walks • Enrichment & mental stimulation • Respect for routines & preferences • Reliable, boutique-style care I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog. My goal is always to provide a level of care that feels thoughtful, intuitive, and genuinely reassuring. Looking forward to meeting you and your pup 🐾 I have intentionally limited daytime availability, which allows me to provide highly attentive, unrushed care. Rather than juggling multiple bookings, I typically focus on one household per day so your pet receives my full presence, energy, and attention. I own and operate a small business, and during this season I’m choosing to supplement my days doing something I genuinely love — spending time with animals. Caring for pets is something I find grounding, joyful, and deeply rewarding. For walks, I choose safe, calm, low-stress environments. I’m highly mindful of surroundings and well-versed in reading situations to ensure dogs remain comfortable and relaxed. I have extensive experience handling large and giant breeds on leash, and I’m confident managing powerful dogs with steady, grounded energy. Off-leash activity is never an option unless within your pet’s own familiar environment and based entirely on your preferences. Trust & Care for Your Home I understand that inviting someone into your home requires a high level of trust. I treat every home with the same respect, discretion, and care I would expect for my own. I’m naturally tidy, conscientious, and attentive to details — whether that means maintaining cleanliness, following household preferences, or ensuring your space is left exactly as you’d expect. Referrals are gladly provided upon request. I’ve been trained to remain observant and considerate of other dogs, children, and potential stressors, and I proactively navigate walks in a way that prioritizes safety and ease for your dog. Your pet’s well-being, security, and peace of mind are always my highest priority.
“Simply put Alexandria is awesome! She was very prompt in replying to my initial inquiry for walks. She was prompt and very personable for “our meet and greet” to go over my pups routine. She also”
About: I've been taking care of kitties for my entire life, and more recently, dogs! So far, I've worked with hyper dogs, an anxious dog, and a sick dog, so I'm comfortable with a variety of energies. It's always such a pleasure to be around pets, and I look forward to meeting your fur babies! I currently have a pretty open schedule besides some remote work I do twice a week. The days I have set for my availability are pretty consistently open, and other days, I can be flexible if you reach out in advance In a new space, I allow them to find a space they feel comfortable in and hang out with them for as long as they need to get adjusted. In a client’s home, I’d clarify everything with the client to make sure I’m attending to the pet’s needs appropriately

“Angela was wonderful dog sitting my pup for a long weekend! She was quick to respond, happy to have an initial meet and greet and sent me tons of updates during his stay. My dog was well cared for and I’d be happy to use Angela again”

“First time using Rover and we were very happy! We felt comfortable knowing our dog was in good hands, and got updates daily. We were nervous about our dog trying to slip out the front door in a new environment, but Rob's gated entryway put us at ease.”

“Very responsive and gave me lots of updates about how my dog was doing during his boarding stay. My dog came home happy as can be and looks very well cared for and based on the pictures had an awesome time with Alexis.”
“Ning cared so thoughtfully for my puppy, who needed overnight care while I was moving. Even though my puppy’s second overnight ever and first time with Ning, she was more relaxed. I could tell she was tired but not overstimulated. Ning also was communicative about some specific concerns I had with my puppy’s health/behavior and was attentive to keeping a routine for my puppy in the midst of so many changes. Thank you so much, Ning, I’m so grateful!”

“Sherry watched Seven for 11 days while my wife and I went on vacation. She was very communicative and sent many pictures of her, Wolfie, and Seven’s outdoor adventures. Going on vacation can always be a little stressful when having to leave our dog but we felt very comforted that Seven was in good hands with Sherry!”

“Yagmur and her partner took excellent care of my special needs dog. The steps up to their apartment were a bit challenging for him, but they managed him beautifully. I am so appreciative of the care that provided to him.”

About: Hiya, I'm Peter! I've cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, and have since provided countless hours of pet-care of friends, family, friends of the family, and families of friends! I have years of experience doing walks, play, feeding, bathing, clean-up and more. I have experience with excitable breeds like a neighbor's golden doodle to my family's mellowed-out portugese water doggies, along with senior care. I see animal care as a privilege. Our pets are no less than little bundles of feelings and life that we are given the opportunity to cherish. I have been told on multiple occasions that I am able to calm animals unusually quickly, and I feel that I am attuned to the emotions of animals I care for. I would love to opportunity to provide care to your pet! I work from home in a low-speed position, so I have a flexible schedule for your pets' needs. Normally, I would do a morning and afternoon walk, with potty breaks peppered whenever they need. I can also step away from my work at a moment's notice if anything arises, from entertaining a bored doggie to foiling attempted counter surfing! I have a paved yard for sunbathing and potty breaks, the door to which I work right next to. I live near Lake Merritt, the Morcom Rose Garden, and a dog park, so I can provide walks of all lengths. My home is very cozy and has multiple spaces where an animal can detox from any overstimulation. I can provide a dog crate, scheduled meals, supervision, and play.
“Chad is wonderful with my Benny. When I leave Benny in his care I know that Benny has a great time and is well looked after because he sends me picture/video updates. Benny is always wagging his tail when he sees Chad. I will continue to book Chad.”
