About: I’ve built a loyal client base since 2022 primarily through word of mouth and have many excellent references. I have experience caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, needs, and routines, and I consider myself well-prepared to handle a variety of situations. I’m highly communicative, proactive, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs. I always strive to go the extra mile for my clients, making sure both pets and their people feel heard, respected, and confident in their care. About: My experience caring for animals goes back to childhood. At 13, I had my own horse in the Oakland Hills, and my first job was caring for horses at the stable to help pay for his board. Animals have been an important part of my life ever since. Years later, my Australian Cattle Dog, Taz, became one of my greatest teachers. He came to me as a highly reactive rescue, and I developed a structured behavior-modification plan using positive reinforcement, consistency, exercise, and careful attention to his triggers. With patience and years of dedicated training, he made tremendous progress and went on to live a long, happy, and deeply loved life. That experience gave me a strong understanding of canine body language, behavior, enrichment, and the importance of structure and trust. I’m comfortable with senior dogs, rescue dogs, high-energy breeds, and dogs who may need some extra patience. I know that every dog is an individual, and I take the time to understand their personality, routines, boundaries, and quirks. I’m also a professional artist, and animals are a big part of my creative work—I especially love drawing pet portraits and caricatures. Working independently gives me flexibility in my schedule and allows me to give the animals in my care focused attention. Whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, or pet sitting, I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, engaged, and genuinely cared for. I take the responsibility of looking after someone else’s animal seriously, while making sure we have some fun along the way. About: I would love to care for your pet and provide them as much walks, runs, or scritches. I have taken care of cats and my rambunctious dog Kona as well as several rover friends when I was in college. I am prepared for all sorts of personalities and super excited to help out. I work from home most days so am happy to go on many walks and feed them on whatever schedule that they are accustomed to. We live near parks so the neighborhood is a convenient area to walk around. Our household has no pets and I only want to care for one pet at a time, so the home will be private and they will have our undivided attention. About: Husband and wife team here to help with your pets. We both grew up with pets, and currently have two dogs, a tortoise, and a fish tank. Who are we? Chandlor, UO class of 2025, UC Berkeley class of 2028. Chandlor is also the Race, Equality & LGBTQIA+ reporter for Richmond Confidential, and an freelance journalist for other publications. Originally from the DC metro area. Alison, Dartmouth class of 2014, accountant at UO, part time musician, farm girl at heart. Two for the price of one! (Currently Chandlor is alone in Berkeley, but Alison is joining soon) We’re flexible with our work schedules, but both work full time. Alison at UO, Chandlor remotely. Just ask us and we will see if it’s a good fit. We spend a lot of time with our pets, and they are our lives. All of our animals are elderly, so we’ve spent years making them more comfortable.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old. I grew up with dogs in my family and currently have one of my own! I have experience in walking, feeding, bathing, and boarding dogs. I am on a hybrid work schedule and am home a majority of the week. I am an outdoors enthusiast and spend a majority of my time on hikes and long walks with my dog. Otherwise I am a home body and can easily adapt to your pet’s needs! I live in an apartment with quick and easy access to dog parks, hiking trails, and safe walking routes. Although I cannot provide an immediate fenced yard, I am capable of giving your dog adequate excercise, potty breaks, and enriching activities so that they go home happy and exhausted!

About: Hey there! 🐾 My Wi-Fi name is "House of Dogues". That probably tells you everything you need to know about me. I've been around pups my whole life: walks, sits, feedings, bath time, you name it. Friends, family, neighbors have all trusted me with their fur babies, and I take that seriously. But also I make it really fun. Here's what makes me a little different: I follow the dog's lead. Some pups want a big adventure. Others want a slow sniff-everything kind of walk (honestly iconic). On our walks, they pick the route. I'm just happy to be invited. I also put together little enrichment activities because a stimulated dog is a happy dog, and yes, I talk to them like they understand everything I'm saying, because they do. I'm a big dog park person too, but I'm picky about it in the best way. I stick to parks where I already know the people and the dogs, so I know exactly what kind of environment your pup is walking into. No surprises, just good socialization with faces I trust. When your dog stays with me, they get a whole day tailored to their vibe: cozy, active, or somewhere in between. And you? You'll get so many photo and video updates you might actually forget you miss them. Might. At home I live with Totó, my shichihuahua who is fully convinced he runs this household (he does). He's taught me everything about big personality in a small body, and he's an excellent host. I have a special soft spot for senior dogs. I know how to give them the patience, gentleness, and extra love they deserve. My clients always say the same two things: they got way more updates than they expected, and they finally felt okay leaving their dog with someone. That's the whole goal. 🐶 I work remotely, which means I'm home most of the day and genuinely available, no scrambling, no rushing. Midday walk? Morning sit? Last-minute check-in? I can make it work. Pet care isn't something I squeeze into my routine, it basically IS my routine. Your dog will never feel like an afterthought. Safety is everything to me, and so is making sure your pet actually enjoys their time. In your home, I follow your instructions closely, keep things clean and consistent, and make sure your pup always has water, food, and lots of love. On walks, I stick to routes and parks I know well, with dogs and people I already trust. No random off-leash situations, no surprises. At my place, it's calm, cozy, and very much a dog household (my Wi-Fi is literally called "House of Dogs"). Totó, my shichihuahua, is a great host as long as you respect that he's in charge.

About: I have two dogs of my own, so caring for pets is a big part of my daily life. I have also helped my aunt care for her cats many times, including feeding them, checking on them, and spending time with them. My friends regularly trust me to look after their dogs when they are away. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and will treat every pet with the same care, patience, and attention that I give my own. I’m currently a UC Berkeley student studying Mathematics and Data Science. Since much of my studying and coursework can be done from home, I’m home most of the time and have a very flexible schedule. This gives me plenty of time to give pets attention, play with them, and take dogs on walks throughout the day. I’m happy to accommodate different walking and care schedules whenever possible. I have two dogs of my own, one large and one small, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities. My home has a balcony with a well-designed pet area where pets can relax safely. I also enjoy taking dogs outside for walks and can provide plenty of exercise and attention throughout the day. About: ***Update as of 10/14/26: I’m back on Rover! Much of my experience over the past two years has been word of mouth, but I’m looking to expand my client base. Excited to meet you and your pups!*** I'm patient and attentive to dogs' needs, and have experience with large and small dogs, leash-reactive dogs, seniors and puppies. My landlord requires approval for any dogs that come over, but I am available to spend time with your pooch(es) at your home! Growing up, I lived on a farm near a popular abandonment road, and my family fostered/adopted the strays who wandered to our home. At 19, I adopted a 3-month-old stray. I trained her and lived with her in many environments across the country. In August 2024, shortly after she turned 13, she lost the ability to walk and made her grand exit from this earthly plane. Before that, we regularly walked 3 miles a day (weather permitting). For walks and play dates: I work early mornings, starting at 7am, and finish in the early afternoon at 3pm. I am available for short walks in the morning, from 6:00-6:45 (distance permitting; I work from home) and for long walks in the evening after 4pm. My weekends are typically flexible--let's chat! For house sitting: I work remotely, and as long as wifi is available, I can housesit during the week consistently. Again, for weekends I am fairly flexible; let's chat! I appreciate clear directions and an articulated schedule when it comes to walking and sitting your dog. Please let me know if they have any dietary needs, meds, triggers, or special needs!
