About: I have been surrounded by animals my entire life, beginning with my childhood growing up on a farm. That early, hands-on exposure taught me the fundamentals of animal care, daily routines, and how to read animal behavior. This transitioned into professional work as a dog trainer at Happy Hound play and daycare in Oakland where I trained and cared for dogs both at the center and on park walks and in home visits. I am able to confidently handle pets of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels from puppies needing structure and basic obedience to older dogs requiring a gentle, patient approach. I have a background in housing and caring for animals. I currently share my home with my own pet, Baloo and my housemates pet Bentley my living space is always dog-friendly. I know exactly what it takes to create a safe, enriching, and comforting environment for visiting animals. I can give owners peace of mind while they are away! I am currently working part-time and have lots of flexibility to work around schedules and to setup routines! I also have transportation to travel. I have a fully fenced in yard with two fur babies to keep your doggos safe and entertained! They can lounge outside in the sun or inside.
“Everything appeared to be taken care of to my specifications and my cats were happy and healthy when I got home! Matthew was also very communicative and friendly throughout my time being gone. Will book with him again!”

“Jasmine did a great job dropping in on my cat, Chili for 5 nights. She was very communicative and attentive to my cat, giving playtime, feeding, and taking care of the litterbox. I will happily request her for future drop ins!”

“Sandra was absolutely fantastic caring for my older cats who need lots of attention. She was incredible with communication and arrived on time through two separate bookings. She is very consistent! My two cats were very comfortable with her and seemed to be excited to see her when she would arrive. I highly recommend.”

About: have 4 years of pet care experience with dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs. Growing up in Georgia, I often cared for multiple animals at once, making me organized, dependable, and detail oriented. I provide loving, attentive care and will treat your pets like they're my own while you're away. I’m currently working part time as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the ymca. I’m a full time college student majoring in biology. My schedule does change frequently based on my academics and my part time job. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow your pet's routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and any special instructions. I treat every home with respect and every pet like family, providing updates and photos so you can feel confident they're happy and well cared for.
“Alyssa did a wonderful job of looking after our cats. She was easy to communicate with and proactive in asking clarifying questions. Her photos and daily updates were a delight to receive while we were away. I’ll be booking her again!”

About: When you’re away, your heart stays home with your pet. I have had animals my entire life, I have always had dogs and cats together. I can administer medications, provide basic training and insure your animals are well taken care of, and provided with lots of love I currently have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I provide multiple walks, yard play, park play and lots of belly rubs. My schedule is open right now and I have the flexibility to support I put the needs of the pets and home owners first. I follow all requests and put safety as the number one focus. As a home owner who has welcomed Rover into my home, I understand the importance of safety and trust
“Thank you so much for taking such great care of my fur baby! I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing he was in get care. I loved getting pictures and a report while away. Thank you, Shirley!!!”

About: For 5 years I worked at a dog daycare with all kinds of canines! For most of my time there, I was an overnight caretaker, solely responsible for anywhere between 5-99 dogs. I’ve worked with pups of all ages, many breeds, and many needs. Before that, I spent my teenage years volunteering at a local shelter, where I walked and cuddled dogs from all walks of life, and got the hang of getting nervous newcomers out of their shell. And it’s not just dogs I love, but all kinds of critters big and small! I have a cat and lizard, I enjoy any opportunity I have to cat-sit, and exotic pets whose care may be more than some want to handle are my pleasure! I’m happy to tailor care however you’d like to give your little friend the best! I’m free for the summer before my classes start, which gives me plenty of opportunity to care for your pets! I am mostly available after noon, and my availability is very open on all days but Friday I can only do walks or home visits as my house is already occupied by a disapproving cat, but while I’m with your pet I’ll be sure to give them exactly the care they need! I’m happy to give walks and visits where they’ll have all my attention, and I have experience administering any medication (non-injectable) that they require. If they’re just in need of company, I can supervise them in your yard, cuddle or hold them, or simply work quietly nearby if they would rather do their own thing without being alone. When I’m with your pet, I will always be reachable, so if you need to give instructions or check in on your pet, I can respond immediately

About: I’ve built a loyal client base since 2022 primarily through word of mouth and have many excellent references. I have experience caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, needs, and routines, and I consider myself well-prepared to handle a variety of situations. I’m highly communicative, proactive, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs. I always strive to go the extra mile for my clients, making sure both pets and their people feel heard, respected, and confident in their care. This work brings me a great deal of joy, and I genuinely love getting to know and care for each animal. I work remotely, which gives me the flexibility to provide pet care throughout the week and travel across the Bay Area for in-home sits. Pets are also welcome to stay with me at my Emeryville loft. I have an 8-year-old Chihuahua-Terrier mix who is friendly with most animals and mostly keeps to himself. I prioritize regular walks, play, enrichment, and plenty of affection throughout the day. When caring for dogs in their home, I aim for 2–3 walks daily on safe, familiar routes; there is also a dog park directly across from my loft if that’s a good fit for the dog. I follow each client’s care instructions closely, communicate proactively if questions come up, and keep clients updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for.
“Lucas was wonderful and incredibly accommodating for a last minute urgent booking. He spent extra time with the pets and kept me well updated :) my go-to catsitter from now on,”

“Sarah’s amazing! My dog Jack was immediately obsessed with her (he likes everyone but LOVED Sarah). Sarah’s extremely easy to work with, super kind, communicative and knows animals extremely well. Jack has animal reactivity and she was extremely well-versed in this and equipped on how to handle that. Separately, she even deep cleans!!! I don’t know a better combo than someone who’s a dog whisperer and enjoys deep cleaning, but I’m really grateful to have met Sarah”

About: Hey I’m Izzy! I’m here to treat your fur babies as if they’re mine. When I’m with your dog I like to stimulate their mind by bringing treats and toys and have fun with some training (of course with your permission first!). I am currently a self employed dog trainer so I do know how to handle different types of dogs. My main experience is training and I frequently work with service dogs. I have experience with all kinds of temperaments so don’t be shy to let me know if your dog has an anxiety issue or is overly excited. My upmost important priority is making your dog feel as comfortable as possible when he or she is under my care. I can’t wait to meet all these beautiful faces! I am also a student and still new to the bay area. Luckily at the moment my schedule is rather flexible, I can potentially adjust my schedule for your pet on certain occasions! I will follow whatever instructions you give me when I stay over at your home. There will be constant supervision when let outside or on a walk. Your dog will have a warm bed (or crate) to sleep in and their mental + physical needs will be met everyday!
About: Hi! My name is Ryan and I would love to meet and take care of your pet(s)! I've grown up with dogs and cats in the house and have always felt a very loving bond and connection with animals. I had two cats that passed away a little while ago so I now have more time and space to care for other peoples’ animals. I'm respectful, honest, and a good communicator. I am very conscientious and considerate of other people's space, and will make sure to keep your house nice and clean! I am very flexible and can adapt and personalize services to meet the needs of you and your pet. I work part time so I have a lot of flexibility and will be able to spend lots of time at your house and play/care for your pet. I will keep your house as neat/clean as it was when you left it. I am respectful and considerate of other people's homes/property. I've used pet sitters in the past so I know what how it feels to entrust someone in your home and I don't take that lightly.
About: Hey there! 🐾 My Wi-Fi name is "House of Dogues". That probably tells you everything you need to know about me. I've been around pups my whole life: walks, sits, feedings, bath time, you name it. Friends, family, neighbors have all trusted me with their fur babies, and I take that seriously. But also I make it really fun. Here's what makes me a little different: I follow the dog's lead. Some pups want a big adventure. Others want a slow sniff-everything kind of walk (honestly iconic). On our walks, they pick the route. I'm just happy to be invited. I also put together little enrichment activities because a stimulated dog is a happy dog, and yes, I talk to them like they understand everything I'm saying, because they do. I'm a big dog park person too, but I'm picky about it in the best way. I stick to parks where I already know the people and the dogs, so I know exactly what kind of environment your pup is walking into. No surprises, just good socialization with faces I trust. When your dog stays with me, they get a whole day tailored to their vibe: cozy, active, or somewhere in between. And you? You'll get so many photo and video updates you might actually forget you miss them. Might. At home I live with Totó, my shichihuahua who is fully convinced he runs this household (he does). He's taught me everything about big personality in a small body, and he's an excellent host. I have a special soft spot for senior dogs. I know how to give them the patience, gentleness, and extra love they deserve. My clients always say the same two things: they got way more updates than they expected, and they finally felt okay leaving their dog with someone. That's the whole goal. 🐶 I work remotely, which means I'm home most of the day and genuinely available, no scrambling, no rushing. Midday walk? Morning sit? Last-minute check-in? I can make it work. Pet care isn't something I squeeze into my routine, it basically IS my routine. Your dog will never feel like an afterthought. Safety is everything to me, and so is making sure your pet actually enjoys their time. In your home, I follow your instructions closely, keep things clean and consistent, and make sure your pup always has water, food, and lots of love. On walks, I stick to routes and parks I know well, with dogs and people I already trust. No random off-leash situations, no surprises. At my place, it's calm, cozy, and very much a dog household (my Wi-Fi is literally called "House of Dogs"). Totó, my shichihuahua, is a great host as long as you respect that he's in charge.
About: For the last four years I’ve lived in a home with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. One was a senior at 13 years old and the other is three. I’ve learned how to adapt to their different needs based on age and personality while setting boundaries and aligning to my Housemate’s desires for their care. (Which has helped me get to know new dogs pretty quickly.) We walk, play and cuddle. When needed I administer medication, feed them, and sometimes cook for them. I look forward to chatting with you about your family’s needs. When house sitting I do not schedule any other families for walks or drop-ins. The care I provide is all inclusive so that your baby gets all of my love and care. If I am not house sitting, I’m available everyday after 11am for walks and drop-ins within a 1 mile radius of lower Rockridge or easily reachable by public transportation. To ensure safety and comfort, I won’t be walking any other dogs outside of your household. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable. I’ll come to you for walks.
“Nataly is the best! She is communicative, timely, and so sweet and attentive with my pup. She takes lots of pictures and writes sweet notes to fill me in on how my dog is doing. We love Nataly!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Fe
Francis was awesome! He asked great questions during our meeting and made us feel at ease the whole time. He was also super attentive to our boys and was able to handle them very well. Definitely be rebooking his services again and would recommend him to anyone looking for somebody to care for their furbabies.

I’m so grateful to Shelly for her excellent care of my cat, Atticus. I had a family emergency come up and needed someone last minute. I put out feelers pretty late at night knowing I’d be leaving in a few hours hoping but not confident I would get someone on such short notice. Shelly responded right away and I felt confident my kitty was in good hands. Thanks Shelly!!

This was our second time having Bryanna watch our dogs, and she was great again! She’s reliable, caring, and takes such good care of them. I feel very comfortable knowing they’re in good hands with her while we’re away. We’ll definitely continue using her. Highly recommend! 😊
