“I would highly recommend Nicole. I have a rescue pup that needs a patient and understanding person to gain her trust. Nicole has been all that, as well as super professional with scheduling, responding and any requests I have. It is apparent after your first visit that Nicole not only knows animals but truly enjoys working with them.”

About: For the last four years I’ve lived in a home with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. One was a senior at 13 years old and the other is three. I’ve learned how to adapt to their different needs based on age and personality while setting boundaries and aligning to my Housemate’s desires for their care. (Which has helped me get to know new dogs pretty quickly.) We walk, play and cuddle. When needed I administer medication, feed them, and sometimes cook for them. I look forward to chatting with you about your family’s needs. When house sitting I do not schedule any other families for walks or drop-ins. The care I provide is all inclusive so that your baby gets all of my love and care. If I am not house sitting, I’m available everyday after 11am for walks and drop-ins within a 1 mile radius of lower Rockridge or easily reachable by public transportation. To ensure safety and comfort, I won’t be walking any other dogs outside of your household. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable. I’ll come to you for walks.
About: While I'm new to Rover, I have over 10 years experience taking care of my friends and family's cats, dogs, insects, and plants. I'm excited to start this business on Rover and extend that pet/plant care to the people in my East Bay community! I'm a landscape horticulture student in Oakland, so when I'm not in class, working in my garden, or spending time with my own kitties, I love taking care of my friends, neighbors, and families' pets. They bring so much silliness and happiness into my routine! When walking your dogs or taking care of your pets in your home, respect, safety, and trust are my top priorities. The pet parents I work with know their pets best, and I take their guidance and wishes very seriously. When I'm housesitting, I treat clients' homes with even more respect than I treat my own.

“Shelly was awesome! My cat has separation anxiety and when we returned home from our trip he was mellow and happy. I could tell he received some quality attention while we were away.”

“Went above and beyond taking care of our babies, looking forward to working with Kevin soon again! So grateful for all all he has done thus far, and additionally isvery impressive with follow ups, app guidance, and punctuality!”

About: *Lady K's Doggie Lounge* I'm a fulltime doggie daycare and boarding provider. *I never leave pups unattended* Animals have always been a part of my family and lifestyle. In addition to dogs, cats, and birds, I've been a parent to rabbits, hamsters, livestock and reptiles. I'm also a mother of two over the age of 35. I'm the go-to person for the care of their dogs, as well for other members of my family's pets when they are in town. I have a 13 year old Corgi/Jack Russell mix, (Sir Prince) that loves meeting new friends. So while in my care, your baby will have my constant attention, and personalized detailed care, as if he or she were my own. I also believe in providing my clients a peace of mind while away from their bundles of joy. I know how stressful it can sometimes be. You are welcome to bring a Kennel for your furbaby if they are use to using one. In my experience, they are helpful during feeding times and when personal space is needed. Sometimes they provide a bit more comfort to them when in an unfamiliar place. But for the most part, all pups have the freedom to roam as they wish. My specialty is in-house pet care, but taking the babies for walks is always possible. I provide homestyle daycare and boarding 24/7. Pups will never be left unattended. Lady K's Doggie Lounge and my clients are top priority for me. I offer a calm, free to roam environment. Kennels are only used for feedings and sleeping if needed. I can and will maintain your pets current schedule/ routine if necessary.

Sunny has worked various jobs in the medical world. We chose to care for medium to small-sized dogs just to make sure there is enough bed space . :) Our property is a well-fenced-in pet-friendly quadraplex that has an excellent zen garden in the back. We are huge fans of Mosswood Park, Berkeley Marina, and Point Isabel, and guarantee check-ins with photos, videos, and updates. Great Central location in Temescal! I currently have a flexible schedule, and Clyde works from home as a musician- if we leave the house and you prefer, we will crate your fur baby for its safety. I will care for your pets as if they were my own and keep you updated with photos and messages while you're away. I have a flexible schedule and can provide pet care throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. As a pet owner myself, caring for animals is already part of my daily routine. I understand the importance of consistency for pets and will follow your pet's feeding schedule, exercise routine, and any special care instructions to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I currently care for one dog and three indoor cats, so I understand how important it is to create a calm, secure, and loving environment. About: I'll give your pets the attention and care they need, through tug-of-war, cuddles or even just my presence at home. I'm also happy to take your dog on adventures if you're comfortable with it :) I'm currently looking for work, so I can be present as much as your pets need me to be. I only need to leave the house to go to the gym or sports practice. As an animal lover, I'll pay close attention to how your animal is feeling, and make sure they get the attention and care they need. I'll also take care of your home and leave it clean and well taken care of per your instructions.

About: Most people who watch pets learned to love animals as adults. I didn't have that learning curve — I grew up with dogs, cats, reptiles, and insects from age 5, which means I've been reading animal behavior my whole life. I notice things: a subtle shift in posture, eating less than usual, a dog that's friendly but actually anxious underneath. That kind of attention comes from decades of hands-on experience, not a weekend certification. I'm also comfortable with animals that other sitters turn away. High-energy breeds, strong personalities, dogs with a history — I've handled them. I grew up around pit bulls, rottweilers, and boxers, so I'm not rattled by size or intensity. For senior dogs, I understand that slower doesn't mean less — they need more patience, more observation, and a sitter who notices when something's off. I give that naturally. What you won't get with me is performative care. No staged photos where your dog looks confused on a couch. Real walks, real attention, real updates — because I actually enjoy this. Animals have always been a constant in my home — I've kept reptiles, invertebrates, and aquatic species, so feeding schedules, habitat checks, and daily observation are just part of my natural routine. Adding a dog or cat to that rhythm is natural. Boarded pets get morning and evening walks, meals on their schedule, and company throughout the day. I work from home most days, so your pet isn't sitting alone — they're in the room with me. In my home, boarded dogs get their own space to decompress when they need it, plus free roam once they're comfortable. I match energy — calm dogs get quiet time, high-drive dogs get real exercise. Cats get a separate setup with vertical space and zero forced interaction. I follow whatever routine the owner sends me: feeding times, dietary restrictions, medication, quirks. At a client's home I treat it like a trust exercise — everything stays exactly as the owner left it, and I send photo updates so they're never wondering.
“Ayanna took great care of my 2 cats! She was very responsive, sent videos to check how she gave my cat medication, and lots of photos, I’ll definitely be booking again!”

“If we could leave more than 5 stars we would. Alyssa gave good vibes dome the jump. Once the visits started we got follow-up questions, plenty of photos, and updates, Alyssa was a phenomenal sitter with great communication. We could tell the kitties were in such great hands, because they didn't even run up to the door for cuddles when we got home. That has never happened. We appreciated the care Alyssa took to sweep up the litter too because no other rover sitter we've had has done that.”

About: Animals have always been a very important part of my life. Growing up, my mother operated a small pet rescue and animal shelter organization in Asia, and from a very young age I helped care for rescued dogs, cats, and abandoned animals alongside her. Over the years, we helped rescue and rehome thousands of animals, many of whom came from difficult or traumatic situations. caring for animals feels completely natural to me. I do not see pets as “just animals.” I genuinely believe they are family members who deserve love, patience, emotional safety, and respect. In many ways, I believe animals carry one of the purest forms of unconditional love, and sometimes they deserve even more kindness and gentleness than humans receive. I have experience caring for pets with very different personalities, medical conditions, and emotional needs, including senior pets, rescue animals, anxious dogs, and cats requiring medication and special routines. I am highly attentive to behavioral changes, feeding routines, emotional comfort, cleanliness, and creating calm environments where animals feel safe and relaxed.
About: **Available after 3pm on M,Tu,W,Th, Anytime on F,Sat,Sun** I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and have always loved being around animals. Growing up, I regularly helped care for my family’s dogs whenever they needed support, which gave me plenty of hands-on experience with feeding, walking, playing, and making sure pets feel safe and loved. I’m also a cat parent to my two kitties, Michi and Kiki, whom I’ve raised since they were just 8 weeks old. They’ll soon be two years old! Caring for them has given me daily experience with cat care, routines, playtime, and creating a calm, comfortable environment for pets. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet with the same love and attention I give my own. I am currently a master’s student at UC Berkeley. Most days of the week, I end classes at 1pm, so I will be available after that, Sundays and Saturdays the whole day! I have a large apartment for your pup to play in! I also have an outside space for your pup to play in with supervision. Your pet will be my priority during our time together, and rest assured that they will be treated with the utmost respect, love, and kindness!

“Laura is the best, she makes my life work and is part of my tiny family. My kitties love her and she takes the work really seriously. Great communication and 100% calm and confidence when I need to leave town. So grateful!”

About: I was raised in a rural area surrounded by all kinds of animals, and we always had dogs and cats growing up. I have had the pleasure of dog and cat sitting numerous times over the years. I’m comfortable caring for both dogs and cats and enjoy spending time with them. I'm new to the Bay Area and looking to devote my time to your pet's schedule. I'm looking forward to getting outside and exploring new neighborhoods with some furry friends. I focus on creating a calm, safe, and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. I stick closely to their pet’s normal routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications to help them feel secure and stress-free. I’m attentive to instructions, respectful of the home, and make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure.
“Jesse was so kind to accommodate for my last minute booking. He made sure my pup was taken care of and is a very considerate sitter! Appreciate the regular updates and flexibility. Will definitely recommend him for any future bookings.”

About: I cared for my own senior dog before he passed and understand how important patience, consistency, and routine are for pets. I’m experienced with regular walks, slower-paced outings, feeding routines, potty breaks, and keeping pets calm and comfortable. I’m also attentive to details like medication timing and following owner instructions closely. I’m especially comfortable with adult and senior dogs who benefit from a calm, reliable presence. I currently work on a flexible, self-directed schedule from home while writing a book, which allows me to be available for weekday walks and drop-in visits. I’m especially able to help with midday, afternoon, and early evening visits, and I’m happy to work with pet parents on consistent recurring routines when schedules align. I cared for my own senior dog before he passed (a 17+ year Corgi/Dachshund mix. I miss him so much!), so I understand how important patience, consistency, and attention to detail can be. I’m comfortable with regular walks, slower pacing, feeding routines, and making sure medications are given on time when instructed. In a client’s home, I follow their directions closely, keep pets calm and comfortable, and make sure doors, leashes, food, water, and any special instructions are handled carefully.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mosswood
Lydia was absolutely amazing with our cats. She kept them on their typical schedule and spent extra time giving them lots of treats and pets. When we got home after 5 days we were greeted only with mild curiosity and amusement from our kitties - a testament to the care Lydia took to keep them comfy during our absence.

Yen did an absolutely incredible job looking after our cat while we were away on vacation. Her daily updates were a pleasure to receive, with cute kitty pictures and helpful status updates. I got the impression upon returning that our cat was very well taken care of, and, as a bonus, there was no litter mess for us to clean up. Yen will definitely be our first call for any future kitty care needs while we’re out of town!

Another amazing experience with Kathy! She always arrives right on time and provides such detailed, attentive care. We especially love the updates and the beautiful pictures she sends, they really give us peace of mind while we’re away. Most importantly, our cat absolutely loves her, which says everything. It’s clear she truly cares. We’re so grateful to have someone we can trust like Kathy!

We really appreciate Lia’s care for our sweet girls! We always feel such peace of mind when Lia takes care of our guinea pigs - not only does do our shy piggies like her, but she also goes above and beyond expectation in letting the piggies get their floor time and making sure that their cage and our home stay clean.

Kaiya was great! She cleaned up after some unexpected accidents with our senior pup and kept us up to date on all things pups while we were out of town. She let me know if she was running late or needed to adjust the time of the drop in and sent pics of the pups so we knew they were doing well. Definitely recommend her! Thanks Kaiya!

Ayanna was the perfect pick for my boy’s first Rover! She provided many excellent photos and videos with each visit along with details on his mood, energy level, what he was up to, etc. She was super friendly, easy going, and just as chill as my old man. Highly recommend her stellar sitting services!

This is our 4th or 5th time booking Michaela, and as always she was fantastic. Her daily pictures showed that even our shy cat was coming to hang out with her. She also goes above and beyond to look after the house, taking out the trash, etc. She’s well worth it and we hope to keep working with her in the future!

Reijun is detail oriented, meticulously neat, and sweet to my 2 cats! She took notes during our meet & greet to make sure she didn't miss any instructions. The cats were happy and our home was neat when we returned from our trip. Would definitely book her again!
