About: While I'm new to Rover, I have over 10 years experience taking care of my friends and family's cats, dogs, insects, and plants. I'm excited to start this business on Rover and extend that pet/plant care to the people in my East Bay community! I'm a landscape horticulture student in Oakland, so when I'm not in class, working in my garden, or spending time with my own kitties, I love taking care of my friends, neighbors, and families' pets. They bring so much silliness and happiness into my routine! When walking your dogs or taking care of your pets in your home, respect, safety, and trust are my top priorities. The pet parents I work with know their pets best, and I take their guidance and wishes very seriously. When I'm housesitting, I treat clients' homes with even more respect than I treat my own.

About: I'll give your pets the attention and care they need, through tug-of-war, cuddles or even just my presence at home. I'm also happy to take your dog on adventures if you're comfortable with it :) I'm currently looking for work, so I can be present as much as your pets need me to be. I only need to leave the house to go to the gym or sports practice. About: For the last four years I’ve lived in a home with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. One was a senior at 13 years old and the other is three. I’ve learned how to adapt to their different needs based on age and personality while setting boundaries and aligning to my Housemate’s desires for their care. (Which has helped me get to know new dogs pretty quickly.) We walk, play and cuddle. When needed I administer medication, feed them, and sometimes cook for them. I look forward to chatting with you about your family’s needs. When house sitting I do not schedule any other families for walks or drop-ins. The care I provide is all inclusive so that your baby gets all of my love and care. If I am not house sitting, I’m available everyday after 11am for walks and drop-ins within a 1 mile radius of lower Rockridge or easily reachable by public transportation. To ensure safety and comfort, I won’t be walking any other dogs outside of your household. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable. I’ll come to you for walks.

In my home, boarded dogs get their own space to decompress when they need it, plus free roam once they're comfortable. I match energy — calm dogs get quiet time, high-drive dogs get real exercise. Cats get a separate setup with vertical space and zero forced interaction. I follow whatever routine the owner sends me: feeding times, dietary restrictions, medication, quirks. At a client's home I treat it like a trust exercise — everything stays exactly as the owner left it, and I send photo updates so they're never wondering.

About: I've grown up with multiple dogs and am now happy to have my own little corgi-terrier named Karl and a black cat named Billie. I'm my friend's go-to pet sitter and have been loving getting to know the other dogs in the neighborhood. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, large dogs, and reactive dogs. I am available in the evenings on week days and anytime weekends. Please do not book recurring walks if they need to occur earlier on weekdays. I also work as a para educator, so my schedule is flexible, but I will be unavailable for up to 9 hours at a time. Pet care and safety is very important to me. My own dog has very high needs and requires a lot of attention and care, especially on walks, so I completely understand all the peculiar needs of all pets and their individual personalities.

About: i’ve been a dog mom for 20+ years and have basically had dogs my whole life. i trained my own dog from puppyhood and i’ve helped friends (and other pet parents) with basic training and routine stuff too. i’ve taken multiple training classes, so i’m comfortable with things like leash manners, boundaries, and reinforcing good behavior in a calm, consistent way. i’m naturally really good with dogs and i’m great at reading their body language, even the ones that are anxious, reactive, or “don’t usually like people.” i’m patient, confident, and i keep things low-stress so pups feel safe and listened to. i work from home, so i’ve got plenty of time to give your pup real attention throughout the day (not just quick check-ins). i’m happy to do multiple walks a day, and since i’m near downtown oakland, we’ve got plenty of great walk routes, lake merritt, nearby parks, and lots of good “sniffari” streets. in my home, your pup gets a safe, relaxed setup with lots of attention. i have a fenced patio so they can hang in the sun and get fresh air, and inside they’ll have plenty of room to stretch out, lounge, and roam comfortably. we’ve also got nearby open spaces, fields, and trails for walks and play. depending on your dog and what you’re comfortable with, i can do off-leash play (only where it’s safe/appropriate) or keep everything leashed, solo adventures or playtime with my dogs if your pup enjoys company. i’m big on following your routine and keeping things consistent: feeding schedules, meds, crate time, training cues, slow introductions, whatever your dog needs. i’m totally comfortable with seniors, shy/anxious pups, and dogs with special instructions. and if your dog would do best with more backyard time, i can also utilize my girlfriend’s place nearby with a fully fenced backyard for extra outdoor play/sniff time (with your permission).
