Pet care experience
Cats and dogs brighten my days! :)
I've been taking care of cats since I was a child and I have been dog sitting family dogs since I was a teenager. Some of my priorities are making sure all furry friends are comfortable while they are away from family and learning their habits so that I can best support their needs. Being in the company of animals brings me great joy so I try to make their time with me as engaging and serene as possible. :)

Alejandra was a great sitter for my dachshund Monty! She sent frequent updates, pictures and made sure to follow his routines. She was very respectful of my home and left it just as she found it. I would not hesitate to use her again!
Alejandra was wonderful to work with! She took great care of our bernadoodle sending lots of pictures and checking in with updates. We will definitely book her again!
Aleja is an amazing pet sitter! Barnaby loves her - she is super responsive and keeps me posted about how he’s doing. She often goes beyond what is required of her to make sure he is comfortable. For example - she cut his nails for him though I never asked her to. She also builds a connection and is really well suited to care for pets! Could not recommend her enough.

Alejandra is a wonderful pet sitter! She took great care of my German Shepherd while I was out of town for a couple days. She is communicative, caring, and responsible. I totally recommend her!
Alejandra was great on sending photos and keeping me updated throughout the day! As Samson gets older he has a lot of meds and needs but she did good job getting him to take all his meds. My apt was in the same condition as I left it.

Schedule
I'm a full time student with flexible schedule as I only attend lectures and can study from most places. Every day looks different for me but I tend to have free mornings and a big block of free time for lunch!

Safety, trust & environment
I make sure their living space is safe and check their mood to see what steps to take to make sure they can rest comfortably every night. Some examples of safety for me include checking that no food that's toxic is left out, induction stoves locked, windows closed and emergency grooming done (like nail clipping if its uncomfortable for them, or brushing matted fur if its starting to show up, all done if the pet is used to it of course). I keep in mind their energy levels, bowel movements and make sure to communicate any significant change of behavior to pet parents :)

A typical day
I love hikes with high energy breeds and nice long walks with all! I enjoy giving dogs puzzles and stimulating them in different ways if possible! a new dog park, a new route, a new hill, whatever they are comfortable with I'm down to try!
