About: For the last four years I’ve lived in a home with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. One was a senior at 13 years old and the other is three. I’ve learned how to adapt to their different needs based on age and personality while setting boundaries and aligning to my Housemate’s desires for their care. (Which has helped me get to know new dogs pretty quickly.) We walk, play and cuddle. When needed I administer medication, feed them, and sometimes cook for them. I look forward to chatting with you about your family’s needs. When house sitting I do not schedule any other families for walks or drop-ins. The care I provide is all inclusive so that your baby gets all of my love and care. If I am not house sitting, I’m available everyday after 11am for walks and drop-ins within a 1 mile radius of lower Rockridge or easily reachable by public transportation. To ensure safety and comfort, I won’t be walking any other dogs outside of your household. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable. I’ll come to you for walks.

“Shelly was great and I came home to a very happy cat! My sitter plans fell through at the last minute, so I messaged Shelly asking if she could come over for a meet and greet the same night so she could start visiting my cat beginning the following day. I was mainly concerned with my cat getting enough human interaction while I was away. Shelly responded right away and was very prompt for our meeting. She was friendly and my cat felt comfortable w her right away. Shelly visited my cat for the 4 days I was away and I came home to a very happy and content cat. I'll be booking with her again:)”

“Richard was great! He was friendly, professional and an excellent communicator. My cats loved him and he sent cute photos of their time together. I recommend Richard as a sitter!”

About: I've taken care of dogs my whole life - but my favorite part is and always will be taking them on walks! I am a dog lover at heart and love to see how happy it makes them to be taken out. I work from home and and am extremely diligent about walking every day. Whether it's alone, walking with a friend, or walking my own dog - I will be found walking no matter what. I'd love to take your pup out with me! I will keep your pet safe by paying attention to their cues, paying attention to my surroundings, and giving detailed observations of anything concerning that I observe so that their owners can stay in the know.

About: Howdy! My name's Rachel, I'm new to the area. I am a lover of all animals, but especially dogs. I grew up with a lovable and energetic Akita, so I have a big love for larger dogs. I currently live with my cat, Henri, who I found in an alley in Chicago a few years ago. I formerly worked for a local dog boarding and daycare spot. I'm a pretty active person, I like hiking and running and being outside, all activities that could be even more fun with a four legged companion. I'm happy to answer any questions you have, and am looking forward to meeting! I am very available for weekends to walk, visit, or care for pets! I work during the week but possibly could make time in the evenings At my home, I do have a cat who is friendly. I have a babygate that I set up or lock the cat in my room when dogs are visiting. I am open to making house visits also! I believe pets who are already stressed out when their person is away for extended periods should feel comfortable and be in their own place.
About: Ciao! My name is Matt and I'm very excited to have the opportunity to meet you and some of the amazing pets we have here in the city. I currently live near the rose garden/Piedmont. I live close to several other parks, and I always enjoy meeting new pet friends that come my way. I really don't have many restrictions, but all I ask is that if you are interested in meeting to discuss my services that we have great communication (whether it's email, call/text, etc.) I work from home during the week and actively get outside myself, so I'm sure we could work something out if you need help with your pet! Comfort and exercise go hand-in-hand in my experience. Play time and treats are always possible. Companionship is a must and routine is our next best friend.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats my whole life. I have seen pets through life from young to elderly, providing medications and cleaning up countless messes. Nothing will surprise me. I attune to pet personalities well: I love snuggling with the snuggly ones, take care around skittish ones, and everything in between. I am punctual and respectful of your time and space. I’m currently working part-time from home and I am available on short notice to provide care for your loved ones. I am quick to respond and can travel within the East Bay comfortably. I provide loving care in the form of house and pet-sitting, dog walking, feeding, medications, play time, snuggling, and more. I am a highly attuned individual, so I will learn your pet’s needs and meet them where they are at. I work comfortably with pets with boundaries, aggression, skittishness, and other high needs. As a house and pet-sitter, I always leave the home exactly as I found it. I respect your property and make your pet’s safety the highest priority. I will follow your guidelines to the letter and I’m happy to send you pictures to help your mind be at ease.
“Booked Tyler for a week for my pitbull while on vacation and it was great. I give Tyler 5 stars. You can actually tell Tyler cares about your dog and not just doing it for the money . Kane loved Tyler! Kane loved all the belly rubs and attention. We will definitely be booking Tyler again in the future.”

I will respect the animals boundaries in your home and build trust by creating a safe environment while you are gone.
About: I’ve spent a lifetime caring for with cats, dogs, birds, and other small animals—at this point, I’m a level-capped pet sitter with stat bonuses vs shy guys and grumps. I’m very attentive to pets’ routines and comfort levels, and I always aim to make them feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while their owners are away. I also understand the importance of clear communication and sending regular updates and photos. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to spend quality time with pets throughout the day. I’m able to provide plenty of supervision, attention, exercise, and companionship to make sure pets are happy and comfortable in my care. I work from home 3 days a week (M W F). And I'm home most weekends. My job is flexible so as long as I don't have meetings I can take breaks throughout the day as needed for pets. I've taken my friend's dogs on walks during my work hours and given attention to pets during their stay, treats and cuddles :) I have an open space layout so I will be able to be close to the pet and see what they're doing while I'm home.
“Went above and beyond taking care of my two cats! I felt so comfortable (and happy!) with the care she gave them between lots of extra love, fixing the litter robot (thanks again! lol), and great reports that let me know everything going on with them. Will definitely have her help watch them again for me!”

“Jen was very communicative. She also was very patient and kind after one of my dogs had an accident in the house. She went above and beyond to clean up and take care of him. She also provided bunch of updates and details so I knew what was going on. It was definitely a piece of mind, knowing that she was there taking care of everything.”

Piedmont Avenue pet parents share their Rover experiences
We are out-of-towners spending our summer in the Bay Area, so we hardly know anyone around here. This is why we are so grateful to have found William. He is an absolute cat dad and it was obvious he knows how to care for our babies. We will be repeat clients for sure.

Lauren is so sweet, communicative and detailed oriented. I originally scheduled 5 days but had to schedule one more drop-in visit day at the last minute. She was able to accommodate right away! I trust her with my timid guinea pigs. 1000/10, highly recommend ☺️

Cassandra was so great!! She was so kind with Walter, and sent me photos of how it went with him. It was also so easy to coordinate with her over text on how to get into my apartment (with a code) and on how to administer Walter's medication (oral and pill). I can't recommend more!!

Kristy was wonderful! She was very quick and responsive to helping me with my nine month old lil kitten, especially at a short notice for an unexpected work trip. She was also flexible to meet me in person beforehand to go over how to enter my place & Canela’s schedule. Kristy provided consistent photos and check-ins and kept Canela’s litter box nice and clean ✨ I would recommend Kristy and would definitely rebook whenever I’m out of town, and you should to ☺️
