About: For the last four years I’ve lived in a home with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. One was a senior at 13 years old and the other is three. I’ve learned how to adapt to their different needs based on age and personality while setting boundaries and aligning to my Housemate’s desires for their care. (Which has helped me get to know new dogs pretty quickly.) We walk, play and cuddle. When needed I administer medication, feed them, and sometimes cook for them. I look forward to chatting with you about your family’s needs. When house sitting I do not schedule any other families for walks or drop-ins. The care I provide is all inclusive so that your baby gets all of my love and care. If I am not house sitting, I’m available everyday after 11am for walks and drop-ins within a 1 mile radius of lower Rockridge or easily reachable by public transportation. To ensure safety and comfort, I won’t be walking any other dogs outside of your household. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable. I’ll come to you for walks.

About: Animals have always been a very important part of my life. Growing up, my mother operated a small pet rescue and animal shelter organization in Asia, and from a very young age I helped care for rescued dogs, cats, and abandoned animals alongside her. Over the years, we helped rescue and rehome thousands of animals, many of whom came from difficult or traumatic situations. caring for animals feels completely natural to me. I do not see pets as “just animals.” I genuinely believe they are family members who deserve love, patience, emotional safety, and respect. In many ways, I believe animals carry one of the purest forms of unconditional love, and sometimes they deserve even more kindness and gentleness than humans receive. I have experience caring for pets with very different personalities, medical conditions, and emotional needs, including senior pets, rescue animals, anxious dogs, and cats requiring medication and special routines. I am highly attentive to behavioral changes, feeding routines, emotional comfort, cleanliness, and creating calm environments where animals feel safe and relaxed.

About: While I'm new to Rover, I have over 10 years experience taking care of my friends and family's cats, dogs, insects, and plants. I'm excited to start this business on Rover and extend that pet/plant care to the people in my East Bay community! I'm a landscape horticulture student in Oakland, so when I'm not in class, working in my garden, or spending time with my own kitties, I love taking care of my friends, neighbors, and families' pets. They bring so much silliness and happiness into my routine! When walking your dogs or taking care of your pets in your home, respect, safety, and trust are my top priorities. The pet parents I work with know their pets best, and I take their guidance and wishes very seriously. When I'm housesitting, I treat clients' homes with even more respect than I treat my own.

About: I'll give your pets the attention and care they need, through tug-of-war, cuddles or even just my presence at home. I'm also happy to take your dog on adventures if you're comfortable with it :) I'm currently looking for work, so I can be present as much as your pets need me to be. About: I've taken care of dogs my whole life - but my favorite part is and always will be taking them on walks! I am a dog lover at heart and love to see how happy it makes them to be taken out. I work from home and and am extremely diligent about walking every day. Whether it's alone, walking with a friend, or walking my own dog - I will be found walking no matter what. I didn't have that learning curve — I grew up with dogs, cats, reptiles, and insects from age 5, which means I've been reading animal behavior my whole life. I notice things: a subtle shift in posture, eating less than usual, a dog that's friendly but actually anxious underneath. That kind of attention comes from decades of hands-on experience, not a weekend certification. I'm also comfortable with animals that other sitters turn away. High-energy breeds, strong personalities, dogs with a history — I've handled them. I grew up around pit bulls, rottweilers, and boxers, so I'm not rattled by size or intensity. For senior dogs, I understand that slower doesn't mean less — they need more patience, more observation, and a sitter who notices when something's off. I give that naturally. What you won't get with me is performative care. No staged photos where your dog looks confused on a couch. Real walks, real attention, real updates — because I actually enjoy this. Animals have always been a constant in my home — I've kept reptiles, invertebrates, and aquatic species, so feeding schedules, habitat checks, and daily observation are just part of my natural routine. Adding a dog or cat to that rhythm is natural. Boarded pets get morning and evening walks, meals on their schedule, and company throughout the day. I work from home most days, so your pet isn't sitting alone — they're in the room with me. In my home, boarded dogs get their own space to decompress when they need it, plus free roam once they're comfortable. I match energy — calm dogs get quiet time, high-drive dogs get real exercise. Cats get a separate setup with vertical space and zero forced interaction. I follow whatever routine the owner sends me: feeding times, dietary restrictions, medication, quirks. At a client's home I treat it like a trust exercise — everything stays exactly as the owner left it, and I send photo updates so they're never wondering.

About: Hiya, I'm Peter! I've cared for dogs for as long as I can remember, and have since provided countless hours of pet-care of friends, family, friends of the family, and families of friends! I have years of experience doing walks, play, feeding, bathing, clean-up and more. I have experience with excitable breeds like a neighbor's golden doodle to my family's mellowed-out portugese water doggies, along with senior care. I see animal care as a privilege. Our pets are no less than little bundles of feelings and life that we are given the opportunity to cherish. I have been told on multiple occasions that I am able to calm animals unusually quickly, and I feel that I am attuned to the emotions of animals I care for. I would love to opportunity to provide care to your pet! I work from home in a low-speed position, so I have a flexible schedule for your pets' needs. Normally, I would do a morning and afternoon walk, with potty breaks peppered whenever they need. I can also step away from my work at a moment's notice if anything arises, from entertaining a bored doggie to foiling attempted counter surfing! I have a paved yard for sunbathing and potty breaks, the door to which I work right next to. I live near Lake Merritt, the Morcom Rose Garden, and a dog park, so I can provide walks of all lengths. My home is very cozy and has multiple spaces where an animal can detox from any overstimulation. I can provide a dog crate, scheduled meals, supervision, and play.

About: I'm an outdoorsy, active sitter who loves getting dogs outside and moving, but I’m just as happy hanging back with pups who prefer to relax. As a runner, I’m great at helping high-energy dogs burn off steam with runs, long walks, and playtime so they come home happy and tired. I’m good at reading what each dog needs and matching their vibe and I'm just as comfortable with energetic young dogs as I am with older pups who need a slower, more patient pace. Whether your dog wants adventure or just some chill company, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I currently have a very flexible schedule, and I'm more than happy to work something out. Weekdays work best, early mornings or anything before 5pm, though I'm happy to be flexible! If your dog is with me they'll have ample time to relax, get outside or play some tug of war. I'm very perceptive of animals state's of mind and make every effort to make sure they're getting what they need.

About: It is always a happy day in our household! We specialize in personalized pet care by taking one dog in at a time. ALL PHOTOS SHOWN ARE OF GUEST DOGS THAT WE HAVE CARED FOR. WE like to give our guest pups oodles of one on one attention and promise one long hike or beach trip one a day. We both work out of home and if we are gone it is never more than two- four hours at a time. We have a playful 6 year-old cattle dog puppy who is well socialized and loves to PLAY, - (but crazy puppy energy is not for her) .We have a cat who is friendly with dogs but due to her mental health-WE CAN'T ACCEPT CAT CHASING DOGS AND NO DOGS OVER 30 LBS We have no problem with older dogs, and medicating if needed, and have experience with giving shots and oral medicating. Sunny has worked various jobs in the medical world. We chose to care for medium to small-sized dogs just to make sure there is enough bed space . :) Our property is a well-fenced-in pet-friendly quadraplex that has an excellent zen garden in the back. We are huge fans of Mosswood Park, Berkeley Marina, and Point Isabel, and guarantee check-ins with photos, videos, and updates. No matter what, your baby( young or old) will come home well-rested and well-exercised! We also will consider a reasonable discount if two dogs come from the same home. Great Central location in Temescal! I currently have a flexible schedule, and Clyde works from home as a musician- if we leave the house and you prefer, we will crate your fur baby for its safety. Since we only care for one fur baby at a time - they get a free run of our house beds and sofas included! Happy Puppies is our motto!
