“Vanessa is a kind, warm hearted, caring, pet lover and she treated our Nameste with all the TLC that he need in our absence. She did all that we requested, including pictures of our little guy. I would recommend her to others and I would definitely use her again.”

“Megan takes amazing care of our girl. The pictures and updates she sends are just such a comfort when we’re away from home. One picture from this most recent trip with our dog’s huge, full-teeth smile had us laughing out loud but also just made us so happy that she was that happy while her family was away. We feel so incredibly lucky to have Megan as our dog sitter. Thank you, Megan!!”

About: I genuinely enjoy being around dogs and cats. My eyes get big and soft at any type of a fur baby. I love animals in general. I currently work two part time jobs and have extra free time during the week and weekends to walk your fur babies and spoil them with lots of hugs and love. I will always make sure your babies are taken care of with lots of love and attention. When it’s cold they’ll be snuggled up in a nice warm blanket and when it’s hot I put the fan on blast and forsure they won’t be missing no meals or snacks with Tia Angie. Haha

About: One of my first memories is of adopting a stray that we named Chiqule (Gum, in Spanish) because he decided to stick around. Ever since then I’ve picked up many of our four legged friends and made them family dogs. Many years since having my own pet, my love for our furry friends has yet to dwindle and I continue to pet-sit and house-sit just for the opportunity to hang in with a little fur ball. I have experience with a small senior dogs and dogs who have required medication, 3+ walks a day, or an extensive park visit. I’ve house-sat and makes sure to build my schedule around my four-legged, temporary bestie to ensure a stress-free time. I like to establish constant communication and updates with the pet-parent to make sure all is well. I regard play time highly but makes sure to only ruff-house and much as per-parent sees fit. Cuddles are optional but recommended. I my work hours are 8:30-5 but travel form Berkeley to Hayward so I can pop in within that 15 mile radius! My weekends are a lot more flexible. I make sure to follow a requested guideline and/or care checklist from pet-parents. I make sure to scope out the potential yard for any hazards and establish some trust with pets before going out on our first walk. If treats are allowed or provided, I will reward my furry friend when I see best on our initial walks to establish trust and respect. Play-time is important and can also be carried out as the pet-parent sees fit.

“Pluto was incredible with my two cats! They’re afraid of most people but they immediately loved her. She provided excellent care and most importantly good attention and loves for them while I was away. I got many thorough updates and adorable photos. Will certainly be rebooking!”

“I was in a bind because I had to go on a work trip. So this was my first time having Marlene take care of my doggies. I am always reluctant to have new people in my home, taking care of my babies. But, after meeting her both I and my little guys felt comfortable. I returned to find my little guys very happy and well taken care of. While I was gone, she sent pictures each day. She was also very responsive whenever I reached out. I would definitely recommend Marlene and will be calling on her again in the future.”

About: I am a loving and experienced pet sitter. I make sure to care for every pet with the same level of care and commitment that I have for my own fur babies. I adopted both my pups from my local shelters and have both been the best decisions I have ever made in my life. My first pup (40lb mix breed) was three and she had a history of abuse and being aggressive but with consistent love, care, and training I was able to reduce her aggression and she is now a very happy girl who is comfortable around other dogs and people. My second pup (currently 57 lbs German shepherd mix) I adopted at 13 weeks old. She was the most anxious, shy and sweetest girl so it took a lot of work to build her confidence but I have done all the training from the start. I got her when I was in undergrad so I was able to spend a lot of time building fundamental commands and trust with her. I am currently managing her service animal training so also have experience building the skills that allow her to be with me in any environment. I have been pet-sitting for many years with experience from when I lived in West LA, and house-sitting in areas such as Santa Monica, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Venice, and Beverly Hills. I have a very flexible schedule during the week as I work from home and have weekends and Mondays off for overnight stays. I am also looking to book summer bookings for folks going in vacations. As the owner of a german shepherd, I have a really consistent schedule for my fur babythat I follow to ensure that she is getting the mental and physical exercise she needs to live a happy life. I try my best to stay consistent with her routine becuase I know that when I do, my pups will not only be happier for it, but I will be too! I like to incorporate and rotate commands for daily trainings, mental exercises, and play time to ensure that she doesnt get borde and is constanlty working. I fully try my best to ensure that my fur babies have a happy life. I know that all pets are different with their own unique personalities and lifestyles so I really like to spend my time when meeting a pet for the first time and learning as much as I can from owners as well. I am a really great listener and excellent at following instructions and sticking to schedules. Although my pets live a very active lifestly with me constanlty taking them to the beach, on hikes or parks, I know that not all dogs have the same needs so happy to adjust for my clients needs.

About: Hi, I’m Leticia – your local LGBTQ+ pet-loving sitter! 🐶🌈🐾 Animals have been my heart since I was a kid — I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, and even a few chickens! As a proud queer woman and a devoted pet auntie, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your furry family members like they’re your own. Whether your pup needs long walks, belly rubs, or just someone to chill with while you’re away, I bring patience, joy, and tons of love to every visit. I live in a neighborhood perfect for walks and have experience with pets of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’m also great with routines and medication if needed. Communication is super important to me, so expect lots of photo updates and check-ins — you won’t have to wonder how your fur baby is doing. Let’s connect — I’d love to meet you and your pet! 💖🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because caring for animals brings me joy and a sense of calm. I work a flexible schedule, which means I have plenty of time to dedicate to walks, playtime, feeding, and quality cuddle sessions. Whether it’s a morning walk to start the day or an evening drop-in to check on a pup, I plan my day around making sure pets feel loved, safe, and seen. It never feels like a chore—it’s something I truly look forward to. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, their safety and comfort come first. I create a calm, pet-friendly space with lots of love, soft spots to nap, and plenty of playtime. I follow your pet’s routine closely—feeding, walking, and meds—so they feel secure and at ease. I take time to build trust with each animal, always using gentle handling and positive reinforcement. Communication is key, so I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you always know your pet is happy and safe.

“We are happy to have found Kacie! She’s punctual, responds quickly, and showed a genuine interest in getting to know our fur babies. She paid attention to all the details and I’m so glad to have her looking after our two kitties. I highly recommend Kacie!”

About: Pets find me easy to be around and vice versa. I am active, reliable, and great at communicating. I send pictures, ask questions when I’m unsure about something, and sincerely enjoy myself as I pet sit for others. I am a teacher on summer break. I have tons of free time at the moment to take your pet on a walk, pet sit, etc… When I am pet sitting or taking someone’s pet for a walk, I do my best to stick to animals regular schedules, routines, positive affirmations, etc. I want to help your pet experience the least amount of stress when we go for walks and when their owners are temporarily absent.

About: Hi, Meghan here, I have always been a dog-lover, and currently have a lovable fluffy husky. I live in Oakland with my mom, a fellow dog-lover! I allow our furry friends on the couch, but can also work on furniture-boundaries if your pooch isn't allowed on furniture at your own home. I work from home, so I'll be home most of the day during the weekdays. The longest your pup will be home alone (with my pups) is around 5 hours. I am comfortable with big dogs. I can give medications, and can brush your pooch as well! Here's a little about us: Meghan has been a dog-lover since birth. She grew up with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Treesa loves pups of all sizes! Meet my pets: Just the dogs! About my yard We have a fenced backyard. My experience administering medication We are comfortable administering oral medication. **We do have a Potty Clause. We understand accidents happen, and are very forgiving, as pups are often excited and can't help themselves at first. However, we have occasionally had extreme repeat offenders. We take dogs on the basis that they are potty trained. If we feel there are an excessive number of indoor incidents, we will let you know, and ask for a $10 additional fee (per week, or fraction thereof), to cover the cost of laundry and cleaning supplies.** Thanks! I work from home so your pup will hang out with me and Winston at home, join us on walks, and get to spend the day with us! I have a fenced yard. Security gate at my back door means fresh air without escape opportunity. We're working on installing a dog door, so that should happen later this year!

About: I have taken care of dogs and own animals since I was 15 years old. I have fluctuated from having dogs, cats, and even chinchillas! I have used rover in the past for my own animals and know what it is like to be a fur baby mama and how it can be hard and scary to find the right person for the job! I treat every animal like my own, I give them love, patience and attention! All of my animals have been rescues and have all had their own life struggles that has only made me a better mom to them. I work full-time, but it is very flexible and allows me to go and let my dogs out when needed or do drop ins. Weekends, evenings and some Fridays I am completely off work and able to engage in your animals. Safety is a priority! I have had my share of bad Rover experiences and would never want animal parents to go through that! Knowing fully what is needed and what can be done to provide the safest and best care to your animal is priority

“Lauren did a great job watching my dog and kept me well informed throughout her visits. She provided detailed report cards with lots of photos and even some videos. It was very reassuring to me that Lauren took such good care of my dog. He was comfortable and at ease with her. It was my first time doing in home dog sitting and I will definitely hire Lauren again!”

“Briana has been such a huge help with our pups! She is attentive, caring, provides constant updates and is quick to respond. We’re looking fwd to continuing to work with Briana!”

“Nicole made it through four wonderful days of D0gen care before she was sadly felled by strep throat and had to terminate her care. I had made back-up arrangements which she handled with great responsibility so that Dogen suffered almost no trauma as her sudden departure! He's now happy and so am I, and just hoping Nicolde gets well soon!”

She’s not only incredibly loving and attentive with pets, but she also goes out of her way to care for animals in need — I’ve personally seen her help others care for strays and offer support without hesitation. Her approach to pet care is rooted in kindness, safety, and respect, and she treats every animal as if they were her own. Itzel is also extremely responsible and reliable — someone you can count on completely. Whether your pet needs patience, affection, or someone dependable to look after them, Itzel is truly one of the best people for the job.”

Meghan M.

“My dog fell in love with Meghan at first sight, even though she's usually slow to warm up to new people. Pepper, my miniature dachshund, is always excited to see Meghan, whether for a walk or an overnight. When I pick her up Pepper is happy and tired. We call Meghan's house a doggie resort as a joke, because it's filled with toys and treats. Pepper's happy and I am, because I know my dog is cared for and loved (not to mention spoiled) when I can't be there. We both trust Meghan and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a dog person to love and care for their pup when they need help.”

Nina M.
“Nina has watched Tigerlily on multiple occasions and we’ve had great experiences! She had watched Lily for me while I’ve been at work and she’s had no problems walking and feeding Lily. Lily seems really excited every time she sees Nina and that’s a green flag for me when my dog loves her petsitter. In addition, se has sent me occasional pictures videos of lily and those pictures and videos always brighten my day.”

Woodland pet parents share their Rover experiences
Excellent care of our cat and dog. Great communication and care with details and that they were comfortable!! Would request again! 5 stars!

They took the best care of our dog and cat. I could not have asked for a better experience; I can only describe them as animal savants. They have their needs in mind and go the extra mile.

Vanessa was absolutely amazing with my cat Bean! Wonderful updates and pictures, and great communication. Bean can be a bit spicy with new people, but she seemed to warm up to Vanessa very quickly! It was great knowing that Bean was in great hands while I was away!!

My two cats are always fine after Elizabeth has taken care of them. Her once a day visits help our cats to stay somewhat normal why we are away traveling around the world. She's a gem, and we are totally lucky to have her! Don't hestitate to book her for your pet care needs!

Emma is consistent and so caring with our senior kitty! I appreciate the updates she provides and it’s clear she truly loves and enjoys animals 💜

Karla has done a fantastic job for 2 years in a row taking care of Marley. Really appreciate her willingness and care.

Alondra took great care of my dog while I was away for a week with daily walks in a variety of different parks and scenic places. She was super communicative and would highly recommend her!

Kacie is the best! My kitties love them and I know they're in good hands with them. They did all the works, from playtime to feeding, to taking out the garbage. Everything always looks great when we come back and I love the photos Kacie sends.

Regina took great care of my three cats - she communicated with me anytime she had a question or needed to adjust the schedule, sat and played with all of them, and sent plenty of pictures. Definitely made leaving them at home a lot easier!

Andrew followed all the instructions. He did a wonderful job and will certainly hire him again. Thank you!

Maia was great! She was friendly, patient with our senior kitty Charlotte, and followed the instructions we left. Plus, she managed to give her medicine! Would definitely have Maia cat-sit again!

London is great - good communication, great updates/photos, and reliable. I trust him with my two sweet boys and would recommend him to anyone who wants peace of mind while they’re away, knowing their pets are in good hands!

Excellent experience- I made a very last-minute request for a drop-in and a time change and Ashlyn was totally flexible and communicative with me! She took great care of the dogs, took careful notes and listened to all of the instructions for them, and made sure the whole experience was seamless. 100% recommend.

Tiana was wonderful, fulfilling a last minute request. She was communicative and flexible, and gave my at-first shy pup space to warm up. Very appreciative of her help!

Nayeli was a life saver! We had to find a Rover during our Spring Break cancellation and Nayeli rose to the occasion. She was very communicative, thorough and loving with our fur babies. When a hiccup with our travels came up, Nayeli was more than willing to stop by again after the job was completed. I really appreciated her notes and photos. I would love to hire Nayeli again!

Jordan was great to work with, provided tons of updates and I felt like my kitty was in great hands. Would book with her again in a heartbeat!

Shana is a gem! I’m a new cat mom and being away is hard for me, but upon meeting Shana I was instantly put at ease and my cat felt very comfortable around her calming energy. Knowing my little guy was in good hands while I was away made the distance a bit easier. She was communicative with great little recaps and pix that I looked forward to daily 😻

Charlette was so awesome with my dog Millicent! My dog can be a little stand-offish. Charlette managed to gain Millicent's trust and took such excellent care of my baby. I will definitely be booking with her again. 😊
