About: For over three and a half years I’ve lived in a home with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. One is a senior at 13 years old and the other is three. I’ve learned how to adapt to their different needs based on age and personality while setting boundaries and aligning to my Housemate’s desires for their care. (Which has helped me get to know new dogs pretty quickly.) We walk, play and cuddle. When needed I administer medication, feed them, and sometimes cook for them. I look forward to chatting with you about your family’s needs. When house sitting I do not schedule any other families for walks or drop-ins. The care I provide is all inclusive so that your baby gets all of my love and care. If I am not house sitting, I’m available everyday after 11am for walks and drop-ins within a 1 mile radius of lower Rockridge or easily reachable by public transportation. To ensure safety and comfort, I won’t be walking any other dogs outside of your household. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable. I’ll come to you for walks.

About: Hi, I’m Rich! I’ve been a pet parent for over 30 years and can’t imagine life without animals. I currently share my home with a sweet 6-year-old tuxedo cat, but I’ve also raised dogs, including a lab, a beagle and a maltese, and even completed training classes with them. My favorite trick was teaching my lab how to balance a treat on her nose! Over the years, I’ve cared for pets of all ages—from playful puppies to senior companions—and have experience with vet visits, administering medications, and providing comfort in emergencies for both cats and dogs. My 6-year-old tuxedo cat, Jester, is definitely spoiled (in the best way!). He has plenty of toys to keep him entertained, and he’s welcome to nap and sleep on my bed at night. I make sure he’s fed a high-quality diet, limit treats and people food, and keep his flea and tick prevention up to date so he stays healthy and happy. I believe pets deserve both love and structure, so I balance snuggles and playtime with good care routines. The way I take care of Jester is the same way I’ll care for your pets. I believe in giving them attention, affection, and comfort while also keeping up with their routines and health needs. That means plenty of playtime and cuddles, regular walks or feedings on schedule, and making sure medications, treats, or special diets are followed exactly as you’d like. I’ll respect your home and your pet’s routines so they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away

About: Whether it’s venturing local trails, playing at the beach, or walking around the neighborhood - Exploring the outdoors is better with dogs! I have experience administering medication for special needs & senior pups. I have two senior dogs who get lots of care and attention everyday. I currently work very part time and take evening classes during the week, so I have lots of time for walks and excursions during the weekday & on weekends. About: Hello! I have had dogs since I was young, specifically hounds. My family dog was a Beagle growing up and I am now the proud dog mom of a 9 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound. I love dogs of all sizes and truly enjoy spending time with them and taking care of their needs. Especially walks and playtime! I work four days a week in healthcare as a Travel Physical Therapist so I am currently available on weekends and Mondays for drop in visits and dog walks! I love my dog like he is a member of the family and will give your pet the exact same care and consideration. You can expect frequent updates with photos and a description of the day’s events!

About: I've cared for pets my whole life and can’t imagine a home without them! I currently have a pitbull and a dachshund, and I’ve always had cats too. I believe every animal deserves respect, patience, and understanding. I’m great at reading animal body language, respecting their boundaries, and making them feel safe and happy. I use lots of positive reinforcement—like treats you approve of—to build trust and comfort. I also have experience safely administering medications, whether it's pills, liquids, or topical treatments. If needed, I can gently and safely correct bad behavior to help reinforce good habits. Your pets will be treated like family. :) I recently lost my job due to federal cuts, so I'm available all week days! Please let me know your schedule and we can try to find something that works. Safety is important. Please let me know of any precautions I should take when visiting. I'll be sure to do whatever is necessary to make you and your pet comfortable and safe during the visit.
