About: For the last four years I’ve lived in a home with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. One was a senior at 13 years old and the other is three. I’ve learned how to adapt to their different needs based on age and personality while setting boundaries and aligning to my Housemate’s desires for their care. (Which has helped me get to know new dogs pretty quickly.) We walk, play and cuddle. When needed I administer medication, feed them, and sometimes cook for them. I look forward to chatting with you about your family’s needs. When house sitting I do not schedule any other families for walks or drop-ins. The care I provide is all inclusive so that your baby gets all of my love and care. If I am not house sitting, I’m available everyday after 11am for walks and drop-ins within a 1 mile radius of lower Rockridge or easily reachable by public transportation. To ensure safety and comfort, I won’t be walking any other dogs outside of your household. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable. I’ll come to you for walks.

About: Animals have always been a very important part of my life. Growing up, my mother operated a small pet rescue and animal shelter organization in Asia, and from a very young age I helped care for rescued dogs, cats, and abandoned animals alongside her. Over the years, we helped rescue and rehome thousands of animals, many of whom came from difficult or traumatic situations. caring for animals feels completely natural to me. I do not see pets as “just animals.” I genuinely believe they are family members who deserve love, patience, emotional safety, and respect. In many ways, I believe animals carry one of the purest forms of unconditional love, and sometimes they deserve even more kindness and gentleness than humans receive. I have experience caring for pets with very different personalities, medical conditions, and emotional needs, including senior pets, rescue animals, anxious dogs, and cats requiring medication and special routines. I am highly attentive to behavioral changes, feeding routines, emotional comfort, cleanliness, and creating calm environments where animals feel safe and relaxed.

About: While I'm new to Rover, I have over 10 years experience taking care of my friends and family's cats, dogs, insects, and plants. I'm excited to start this business on Rover and extend that pet/plant care to the people in my East Bay community! I'm a landscape horticulture student in Oakland, so when I'm not in class, working in my garden, or spending time with my own kitties, I love taking care of my friends, neighbors, and families' pets. They bring so much silliness and happiness into my routine! When walking your dogs or taking care of your pets in your home, respect, safety, and trust are my top priorities. The pet parents I work with know their pets best, and I take their guidance and wishes very seriously. When I'm housesitting, I treat clients' homes with even more respect than I treat my own.

About: I'll give your pets the attention and care they need, through tug-of-war, cuddles or even just my presence at home. I'm also happy to take your dog on adventures if you're comfortable with it :) I'm currently looking for work, so I can be present as much as your pets need me to be. I’m experienced with small breeds, energetic dogs, and those who just want a cozy lap and some extra attention. Whether we’re playing fetch, going on walks, or enjoying a lazy afternoon nap, my goal is to make your dog feel safe, loved, and completely at home. As a pup parent myself, I believe pet parents deserve frequent updates and lots of photos, so you can relax knowing your best friend is having a great time too. I work from home so I’m flexible during the day and evenings for pet care. I tend to go to the dog park or on hikes a couple times per week. I have a small friendly dog in my home that gets along with most other dogs. He loves to play, and also is happy to leave other dogs alone. I make sure my client’s homes are better than how I found them. I like to send lots of pics and updates when staying in clients homes, and of course follow all rules and guidelines.

About: I'm an outdoorsy, active sitter who loves getting dogs outside and moving, but I’m just as happy hanging back with pups who prefer to relax. As a runner, I’m great at helping high-energy dogs burn off steam with runs, long walks, and playtime so they come home happy and tired. I’m good at reading what each dog needs and matching their vibe and I'm just as comfortable with energetic young dogs as I am with older pups who need a slower, more patient pace. Whether your dog wants adventure or just some chill company, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I currently have a very flexible schedule, and I'm more than happy to work something out. Weekdays work best, early mornings or anything before 5pm, though I'm happy to be flexible! If your dog is with me they'll have ample time to relax, get outside or play some tug of war. I'm very perceptive of animals state's of mind and make every effort to make sure they're getting what they need.
