“Cassandra has been a fantastic sitter. She goes above and beyond to make sure my new puppy is well cared for (and handled many logistical mishaps on my part with grace). She is very communicative and will also ask for more direction beyond what's listed on my profile. I will happily be a repeat client.”

“Arianna was great! Our doggos loved her. We ran out of paper towels over the duration of our vacation and she had a new roll waiting for us when we returned. She also went above and beyond and brought in our packages without being asked. It made my boyfriend and I so happy to receive pictures of Nala and Lucy throughout the day. We will be contacting Arianna in the future :)”

About: I've taken care of many dogs from chihuahua's, poodle mixes, corgi's and pointers. I have the most experience with small dogs but would love to take care of your large pups too! I have experience caring for and feeding medication to senior dogs from Muttville in San Francisco and lived and cared for a very anxious corgi for two years so have a lot of experience navigating and understanding when a dog needs space. I cannot wait to meet your pup! I'm starting grad school in late august so have plenty of time to play with your pups! I'm available weekdays and weekends for now and will update my schedule once school is back in session. I have a small fenced in yard if the pup needs a quiet enclosed area to play in. I have experience crating anxious corgis and giving medication and am willing to follow any rules you have to ensure good training and safety for your dog. Ultimately, I just want you and your pet to be comfortable!
“Richard was great! He was friendly, professional and an excellent communicator. My cats loved him and he sent cute photos of their time together. I recommend Richard as a sitter!”

About: Mom & Daughter Pet Care Team 🐾 Hi! I’m Cindy, a reliable and caring mom who has teamed up with my animal-loving daughter to provide loving, attentive care for your pets. We treat every animal like part of our family and understand how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet with someone you trust. I am the primary caregiver and fully responsible for all services, scheduling, communication, and safety. My daughter joins me for walks and visits when appropriate, under my supervision, and absolutely adores spending time with animals. She has grown up around pets and is gentle, patient, and respectful of their needs. We’re especially great with dogs who enjoy extra attention, calm companionship, and consistency. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or overnight care, your pet will be safe, loved, and well cared for. I’m happy to answer any questions and always offer a meet-and-greet so you can feel completely comfortable. Pet care is a natural and consistent part of my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule around dog walks and drop-in visits after school and work so that pets receive reliable, on-time care and unhurried attention. Anytime after 5pm M-F and Saturday and Sundays we are pretty open, just send a request and we will do our best to accommodate you and your fur baby. I intentionally limit the number of bookings I accept to ensure each pet (including our own fur babies) gets the time, patience, and care they deserve. For dog walking and drop-in visits, I focus on providing calm, attentive, and reliable care while maintaining your pet’s normal routine. I am the primary caregiver and personally handle all walks, visits, communication, and safety. My daughter may accompany me at times under my supervision and helps provide extra love and companionship, but all care decisions and responsibilities are mine. During walks, I prioritize safety first by using secure leashes, following your preferred routes, and adjusting pace and distance to your dog’s age, energy level, and comfort. Walks include positive reinforcement, sniff time, and plenty of attention. For drop-in visits, I make sure your pet is comfortable and cared for by providing fresh food and water, potty breaks, playtime, medication if needed, and lots of affection. I respect your home, follow all instructions carefully, and always leave things tidy. I provide regular updates with notes and photos so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. Every pet is treated like a member of our family, with patience, kindness, and consistency.
“Jes is awesome and he does a great job with Cheezit! He made sure she had the fan on when it was hot and cleaned up an ant invasion - definitely goes above and beyond when caring for her. Being able to call on him makes it easy to head out of town for a long weekend!”
“Rong is fantastic! She’s taken care of my kitty a couple of times now and always does a great job. She’s been super accommodating to last minute schedule changes, and is always kind and thorough. My cat loves her and I feel so much better leaving knowing Rong is watching her!”

About: I grew up with two Golden Retrievers and more cats than I can count, so being around animals has always been a big part of my life. I’m starting graduate school to become a psychotherapist, and I would like to think that says a lot about the kind of person I am. I genuinely enjoy caring for others animals and humans alike, and I’m patient, reliable, and attentive. I’ll make sure your animals feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages along the way. I work at a psychiatric clinic during the week, so I’m usually available after 6:30 pm on weekdays and most weekends. I’m flexible with mornings, evenings, and overnights on weekends and can plan ahead to fit your pet’s routine. I’m good about following routines closely, feeding, walks, and any specific instructions and making sure your animals feel comfortable and cared for. I work at a psychiatric clinic, so I’m used to being very attentive, structured, and calm. I think that naturally carries over with animals too. I stay attuned to your animals’ mood and pay attention to their behavior and try to meet them where they’re at, whether they’re playful, nervous, or just want space. I’m new to Rover, but I’ve cared for pets for friends and family for many years.
“Aleja is an amazing pet sitter! Barnaby loves her - she is super responsive and keeps me posted about how he’s doing. She often goes beyond what is required of her to make sure he is comfortable. For example - she cut his nails for him though I never asked her to. She also builds a connection and is really well suited to care for pets! Could not recommend her enough.”

“I highly, highly recommend Samantha to care for your pets! She took amazing care of my dog, Percy, and I am so grateful for the peace of mind I had knowing he was in her care. Excellent communication and such conscientious and loving pet care!”

“Zoe was great! Our anxious dog seemed to warm up to her very quickly, and Zoe was communicative, prepared, on time, and professional. We'll definitely try to book her next time we need a sitter.”

“Love Lisa! I recently moved into a new-build apartment complex where I didn’t have the whole visitor access thing figured out yet.. and the leasing office people were of no help. Lisa was so kind and patient in figuring it out with me! And she’s always so fantastic with my dog. She loves her walks with Lisa!”

About: I have done SPCA camp and helped out with the camp. I walked dogs and pet sit my friend's cat. Also, dogs think I am a dog. I have a dog so I help out walking and playing and feeding my dog. Also, I work with my day to keep my dog happy and have her in my bed snuggling. I have a dog and had 3 fish and 2 hamsters and a different dog. I have had lots of time with animals and clean bunny cages for the rabbit ears in Oakland CA.
About: For the last four years I’ve lived in a home with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. One was a senior at 13 years old and the other is three. I’ve learned how to adapt to their different needs based on age and personality while setting boundaries and aligning to my Housemate’s desires for their care. (Which has helped me get to know new dogs pretty quickly.) We walk, play and cuddle. When needed I administer medication, feed them, and sometimes cook for them. I look forward to chatting with you about your family’s needs. When house sitting I do not schedule any other families for walks or drop-ins. The care I provide is all inclusive so that your baby gets all of my love and care. If I am not house sitting, I’m available everyday after 11am for walks and drop-ins within a 1 mile radius of lower Rockridge or easily reachable by public transportation. To ensure safety and comfort, I won’t be walking any other dogs outside of your household. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable. I’ll come to you for walks.
About: Animals have always been a very important part of my life. Growing up, my mother operated a small pet rescue and animal shelter organization in Asia, and from a very young age I helped care for rescued dogs, cats, and abandoned animals alongside her. Over the years, we helped rescue and rehome thousands of animals, many of whom came from difficult or traumatic situations. caring for animals feels completely natural to me. I do not see pets as “just animals.” I genuinely believe they are family members who deserve love, patience, emotional safety, and respect. In many ways, I believe animals carry one of the purest forms of unconditional love, and sometimes they deserve even more kindness and gentleness than humans receive. I have experience caring for pets with very different personalities, medical conditions, and emotional needs, including senior pets, rescue animals, anxious dogs, and cats requiring medication and special routines. I am highly attentive to behavioral changes, feeding routines, emotional comfort, cleanliness, and creating calm environments where animals feel safe and relaxed.
About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I treat every pup like one of my own! I’m experienced with small breeds, energetic dogs, and those who just want a cozy lap and some extra attention. Whether we’re playing fetch, going on walks, or enjoying a lazy afternoon nap, my goal is to make your dog feel safe, loved, and completely at home. As a pup parent myself, I believe pet parents deserve frequent updates and lots of photos, so you can relax knowing your best friend is having a great time too. I work from home so I’m flexible during the day and evenings for pet care. I tend to go to the dog park or on hikes a couple times per week. I have a small friendly dog in my home that gets along with most other dogs. He loves to play, and also is happy to leave other dogs alone. I make sure my client’s homes are better than how I found them. I like to send lots of pics and updates when staying in clients homes, and of course follow all rules and guidelines.

My second time booking John for drop in visits with my 2 cats. Really appreciate his great communication and thoroughness. He showed a lot of care and patience with my cats, even though they're extremely skittish and spent most of the time hiding. Definitely recommend John for any of your pet care needs!

Sarah’s amazing! My dog Jack was immediately obsessed with her (he likes everyone but LOVED Sarah). Sarah’s extremely easy to work with, super kind, communicative and knows animals extremely well. Jack has animal reactivity and she was extremely well-versed in this and equipped on how to handle that. Separately, she even deep cleans!!! I don’t know a better combo than someone who’s a dog whisperer and enjoys deep cleaning, but I’m really grateful to have met Sarah

Lydia was absolutely amazing with our cats. She kept them on their typical schedule and spent extra time giving them lots of treats and pets. When we got home after 5 days we were greeted only with mild curiosity and amusement from our kitties - a testament to the care Lydia took to keep them comfy during our absence.

Yen did an absolutely incredible job looking after our cat while we were away on vacation. Her daily updates were a pleasure to receive, with cute kitty pictures and helpful status updates. I got the impression upon returning that our cat was very well taken care of, and, as a bonus, there was no litter mess for us to clean up. Yen will definitely be our first call for any future kitty care needs while we’re out of town!

We really appreciate Lia’s care for our sweet girls! We always feel such peace of mind when Lia takes care of our guinea pigs - not only does do our shy piggies like her, but she also goes above and beyond expectation in letting the piggies get their floor time and making sure that their cage and our home stay clean.

Kaiya was great! She cleaned up after some unexpected accidents with our senior pup and kept us up to date on all things pups while we were out of town. She let me know if she was running late or needed to adjust the time of the drop in and sent pics of the pups so we knew they were doing well. Definitely recommend her! Thanks Kaiya!
