“Adam was a great pet sitter for our cat, Smokey. We will definitely try to use him for future trips. He clearly loves pets and he is an excellent communicator and we love the pictures that he sent”

“Thomas was great with our boy Hercules! We booked him super last minute so we really appreciated his flexibility in navigating that and showing up when we needed him. Hercules had a blast with him too! We will be rebooking with Thomas - highly recommend!”

“Zsa-Zsa left my house in great shape and did her best to seek out my cat (my cat is very shy and a talented hider) to make sure she was ok each time she stopped by. She even brought in my mail and passed on information from a neighbor :)”

“Presley and Freya loved having Melissa take care of them! I arrived home from my trip yesterday with two pretty relaxed kitties, and a slew of new photos to add to my collection 😁 She was a great communicator, and left everything just as she found it.”

About: Hello! My name is Mary. I am a lifelong pet owner and animal enthusiast. I grew up on a horse farm with dogs, cats, horses, hamsters, and the odd rogue toad, so caring for animals with love and respect is literally second nature. I'm a somatic embodiment coach by trade, so I have a unique skill set for helping animals feel relaxed and comfortable in my care. I have joyously fostered 20+ dogs and cats in their transition to forever homes, and have extensive experience with house and pet sitting. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds, from 6 pound little weasels to 80 pound gentle giants. I have a special place in my heart for seniors (and have experience caring for them.) I am comfortable and experienced with administering medication. Because I work from home online and over zoom, I can accommodate animals that need a shorter window of alone time. I'd be delighted to treat your fur family with all the love and care I would give my own. I look forward to hearing from you! I have my own online business, so my schedule is very fluid and flexible. I love walking dogs and can easily do day or evening walks and stop-bys. I have experience with staying in many different homes and I know that every animal has its own unique routines, needs and rituals that help it feel in flow. I'm very happy to work with your pet in the way they are used to.
“Working with Shanley was ideal in every way. She's a quick and clear communicator, she was thorough in our initial meet and greet and in her visits with my cats, and she did a wonderful job caring for them and attending to other details in the house. I will definitely book with Shanley again next time I go out of town!”

“Elyse took care of my two kittens for just under two weeks and did an amazing job. She was super reliable and communicative. The kittens seemed healthy, happy and relaxed when I got home, so it was obvious they were in good hands. Would definitely request for her help again in the future.”
“Cara did a great job taking care of my cat while I was away! I really appreciated her thoughtful updates about how he was doing, and she made me feel better knowing that he was under her care. She was a consistent and reliable caretaker.”

“Vania was awesome!!! I needed someone last minute and she came through. She was great with my two pitbulls and treated them like queens. She was always on time and very communicative with pictures. I strongly recommend and will be using her in the future.”

“Anais was a great pet sitter who followed all instructions with no issues and kept our playful orange cat busy daily for a week with 30 minutes of play & pets. He looked so happy in all of the visit photos, so we definitely hope to book Anais again in the future for other drop ins 😻🙏🙌”

“Atusa was flexible and helpful, but most importantly my cat Nacho warmed up to her right away. It's convenient that she lives close by and I would be happy to book her again.”

About: I’ve always loved animals, for their big hearts and one of a kind personality traits. My family had a Rottweiler when I was a child and she always felt like the little sister I never had. My hours are flexible so I’m open to meeting your requirements to watch over your pet. I currently don’t have any pets at the moment, so having the opportunity to cuddle up & spend some time making a new furry friend would be a treat. Overall, I’m very passionate when it comes to the safety & well-being of your pets, so I look forward to providing I am currently a freelance filmmaker, so my schedule is pretty flexible! I’m available for boarding on the weekdays, Saturdays from 10am-4pm and Sundays after 3pm it's important for me to understand the type of pet I'm caring for so that i can gauge what type of activities they're into. I love being outdoors, so if your pet is active then i can take them to some of my favorite hiking trails that are near your home. If they're homebodies then I'll typically play some tug-o-war, or fetch with their favorite toys until they're tired. Then i'll feed them and chill out.
About: Hi, I’m Kit! I’ve been training and caring for dogs for over 25 years, since I was practically a puppy myself! 🐶 I’m incredibly devoted to the pets I care for, and my goal is always to make sure your furry family member feels safe, loved, and relaxed while you’re away. As a mom of three grown sons, I’m used to keeping an eye on everything, I don’t miss a thing! 👀 My reaction time is fast, and I treat every dog like one of my own. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and always miss them when they go home. Here’s what your pup can expect during their stay: • Constant companionship: I'm pretty much always here, so your pup won't be left alone, or be lonely. When I'm not here, my Rover partner Jason, is here. • Playtime: We have a secure courtyard and a big yard for your furry friend to explore. We love playing ball and taking short walks around the neighborhood. • Our pack: We have two small, mellow dogs who'll play with or leave your dog alone, whichever your dog chooses. • Size limit please: We welcome all dogs under 75 pounds. • Pupdates: You'll receive updates and fun photos regularly. • People Peace of Mind: If we have a question, don’t worry, we’ll always check with you. That way, you can focus on the good stuff – your family, work, or vacation. Let's have a meet and greet or call to make sure that we’re the right pet sitter for your family. The most important thing is that you feel entirely comfortable that your pet is in the right hands. Thanks so much and stay well! We start our day around 7 am. Your dogs will go out, have breakfast, and a short walk around the neighborhood. Your dog will have their own personal space for when they eat. I have a large, enclosed backyard and an enclosed courtyard in front where your dog can explore and we can play ball. Your pet will go outside as needed, as often as you want. Pets will usually relax inside during the afternoon and we'll go on another short walk before or after their dinner. We have a nightly routine to give a treat around 9 p.m. if okay with you. During that time, I will try to teach your dog to stay for longer periods of time, again if that's something you want. We try to be consistent and go to bed at 10:15 each night. Pets will sleep near us with the bed or crate they're used to or with us, if needed. That's our day! 👍 We have a routine with our dogs for when we eat and go outside. I can follow any instructions you have for your food, medicines, crating, dog beds, and treats. I will keep files with detailed notes of your instructions and what I learned about your pet during every stay, as we continue to get to know each other. My goal is for your dog to feel safe and happy so you can enjoy what you're doing and relax knowing that your four-legged baby is well taken care of.
About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, bunnies, etc. for my neighbors and friends since I was 10 years old. I have taken care of newborn animals and senior animals. I am fully free for the summer! I can pop by your house, go on walks, or keep your pet company at home. I am looking forward to taking care of your pet! I will make sure that your pet feels comfortable with me in their home and spend time playing with them or simply keeping them company. I will also love to go on long walks with your dog if requested!
“Lauren is awesome! She was available to meet last minute as I had some weekend plans that I needed doggy care for. She’s very kind and detailed and I van tell Noodles feels really comfortable around her gentle nature!”

About: My husband & I are semi-retirees who have been raised with pets our entire lives. We specialized in smaller breeds (20 lbs & under) with separation anxiety & definitely have a soft spot for doodles as well.😅 We are proud to say that we’re experienced, loving and extremely responsible animal lovers who believe pets are our kids……so much so that our vets said we are one of the best pet owners they’ve encountered and love to be our “kids” in their next lives.🤣 We are not the type of sitters who host excessive number of dogs at once. As a matter of fact, we intentionally keep our guest list small so we may focus constant supervision and individualized love to each little ones coming across our hands. We focus heavily on safety, trust, love & positive energy over anything else. As loving pet parents, we understand it’s a huge decision when you have to leave your fur babies in strangers' hands. Rest assured we hold up to our words, we’ll love and care for them just like our own! Our goal is to always put ourselves in your shoes and their paws😆 and provide the best-pampered care for your babies and peace of mind while you’re away. Your little ones will NEVER be left alone & treated like a number. Their safety and comfort are our TOP priorities when staying with us. We promise! Since we are semi-retired, we are generally flexible with drop off/pick up time. Communication and mutual respect are the key to any positive relationships. There are many sitters on Rover, and it’s encouraged to shop around, but please, please, please contact us only if you are serious & ready moving forward with the formal meet and greet. Non responsive owners will be blocked from future bookings. Thank you. Please note daycare is limited to 9 hours only. We also do hourly daycare at $25/hr. (Minimum 2 hours). On a typical day, we enjoy countless cuddles throughout the day! There will be plenty of sunbathing playtime in our spacious secured yard and indoor matted play space. We also enjoy visiting local parks when time permits. For safety precaution, we NEVER visit any public off-leash dog parks. Therefore, we might not be the best fit for your pup if they’re accustomed to off-leash outings or long walks. There is always someone home 24/7. Our yard is securely fenced, with ample lawn and play area. There are plenty of outdoor opportunities with IN PERSON supervised playtime at ALL TIMES to keep your little ones safe, active & happy. The interior is padded with floor mats for safe playing, slip & fall prevention (great for senior pups). We also have a separate ground floor guest quarter that’s perfect for cats, rabbits and caged babies who do not wish to interact with dogs as we do have the sweetest senior Shih Tzu rescue, Augustina🐶. She likes all new friends but minds her own business most of the time. Given that said, your babies must be human friendly.😅

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Piedmont Pines
Kayla is wonderful with Riley! He adores her. During her drop in visit with Riley, she made sure that he got a potty break and plenty of playtime outside, as well as some enrichment indoors. She used positive reinforcement to redirect him as needed outdoors and sent updates and lots of photos. Kayla is a kind and compassionate animal lover, and I would recommend her to anyone!

Another amazing experience with Kathy! She always arrives right on time and provides such detailed, attentive care. We especially love the updates and the beautiful pictures she sends, they really give us peace of mind while we’re away. Most importantly, our cat absolutely loves her, which says everything. It’s clear she truly cares. We’re so grateful to have someone we can trust like Kathy!

Kaiya was great! She cleaned up after some unexpected accidents with our senior pup and kept us up to date on all things pups while we were out of town. She let me know if she was running late or needed to adjust the time of the drop in and sent pics of the pups so we knew they were doing well. Definitely recommend her! Thanks Kaiya!

Meli, was super responsive and flexible. We enjoyed meeting her for a quick walk through before our trip. Our cat is typically a scaredy cat and runs away from strangers, but she was curious and open to meet Meli. I think her calming presence put her at ease. We have a regular sitter but she wasn’t available and we had to scramble last minute. Meli was a great surprise. Would book again if needed.

Liz was wonderful! She was very communicative throughout the weekend, provided detailed updates after each visit, and shared plenty of pictures so we always knew our fur babies were doing well. We felt completely at ease knowing they were in such great hands. We would happily rebook Liz in the future and highly recommend her!

Sarah is reliable, flexible and so sweet. My cat is a senior cat who is very attached to me but Sarah takes great care of her and is mindful of the extra care she needs as an older cat. My cat took to her quickly as well, such a relief to travel and know she’s in great hands!
Megan was amazing! She was very attentive and kept us updated throughout each visit with lots of photos and thorough reports at the end of each visit. It was clear our cats were well cared for and comfortable with her while we were away. We’d definitely book with her again!
