About: I have been caring for pets since I was a child. I have cared for dogs with physical disabilities and who require medications. I am also a nurse so feel very comfortable in the caregiving role. I work from home so have a reasonable amount of flexibility. I take my own dog for a walk twice a day and regularly visit dog parks for socialization. I have a fully enclosed deck/yard. We have lots of toys and balls for the dogs to play. My teen kids also love pets. They would enjoy playing with new pups if the owner's approve.

About: Hi, I’m Mel! I am an experienced caretaker of dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, hedgehogs, reptiles, fish, frogs, and invertebrates. Whatever the animal is, I’ll adapt to your household’s needs and care for them like they’re my own. I have extensive experience walking dogs (large and small), administering medication, trimming claws, grooming, training, and keeping litter boxes pristine. I make play time enriching and stimulating, I give space when they need it, and when it’s nap time animals love to fall asleep on me (my cat is snoozing on my lap as I write this). I grew up helping care for my family’s little zoo of German Shepherds, tortoiseshell cats, fish, and reptiles. I now have two cats of my own, as well as a ball python, a bioactive isopod tank, a planted fishtank, and dozens of indoor and outdoor plants. My work with animals is backed by a comprehensive Pet Care Insurance policy. My schedule is very flexible and I can work with yours easily. When I’m not doing animal care I’m studying for my asynchronous grad school program. I will treat your home and pets with the utmost respect and care.
