About: I have had my own cats for about ten years and had farm cats and dogs as a child. My cat recently passed and I am not quite ready to adopt another but want to help others in the mean time! As of right now I’m boarding a sweet female cat for a friend and have been for about a month but she will be going back home in the next few weeks! I live in a studio apartment so I am able to board small to medium animals. I am off just two days otherwise I am available in afternoons after I am off work! Let me know if you have additional questions about my experience or availability! I work full time in San Francisco so I usually leave pretty early in the morning and get back home early afternoon Wednesday through Sunday. Monday and Tuesday I am off but run a few errands. When I had my kitty she would usually feed wet food in the morning and leave some dry food for the day, then when I got home I would leave out some more wet food for the night. I of course have a water fountain and plenty of toys and scratchers for the day and have some play time when I get home. I have a studio apartment so not much room for a big dog but I do have a quiet neighborhood for walks and a gated backyard for play time. Cats should be no issue in the apartment with all the toys and scratchers I have!

About: Through having dogs myself, dog walking, and taking care of friends dogs for the past 9 years I have experience sitting, walking, and playing with dogs. In the past year I have adopted the sweetest dog named Cariño, a 35 pound terrier mix, and have cared for them through their puppy stages and now into adulthood! I primarily have experience with dogs weighing 10-60 pounds and dogs of all ages. I'm good at taking control of a situation and can also understand when a dog is scared, upset, or just needs a break. I have a car so I can come to you and live walking distance from Lake Merritt. I'm currently working part-time and have plenty of time to go on hikes, walks, or check in on your pup! I am flexible during weekdays and am unavailable on weekends currently. I have experience raising my own currently one and a half year dog. I can easily crate your dog and leave them well-rested. I do not let dogs go outside unleashed unless there are specific instructions to do so. I work part-time and have a flexible schedule so I am happy to make things work with your pet needs whether it's morning, middle of the day, or early evenings. I am not accepting pets in my home because we have a dog and a cat who are a bit sensitive to other pet friends.

Walks aren’t something I rush through—I’m happy to let your dog sniff, explore, get some exercise and enjoy being outside. I’m dependable, attentive and comfortable following your dog’s particular routine, whether that means a brisk walk, a leisurely neighborhood sniffari, playtime or just some extra company and affection. I’ll treat your pup like one of my own—even though I’m still waiting for one of my own! My schedule is currently very flexible, which means I can accommodate weekday and weekend visits and walks, including daytime hours when many people are at work. I’m happy to work around your pet’s established routine and give them the time and attention they’re accustomed to. I know that trusting someone with your pet—and access to your home—is a big deal. About: Leaving your pet with someone new takes trust. My goal is to help you feel informed and reassured while giving your pet patient, attentive care that respects their personality, routine, and boundaries. My hands-on experience includes two and a half years caring for my rescued Chihuahua mix and two cats. I also volunteered socializing cats at a shelter when I was younger and, more recently, volunteered regularly at a farm animal sanctuary from April through October. There, I helped with feeding, fresh water, cleaning, preparing barns, and evening routines. I’m especially comfortable with cats and understand that building trust often means offering quiet company, respecting their space, and letting them choose when to interact. Caring for my own sensitive, reactive small dog has also taught me to watch body language closely, stay aware of my surroundings, and create distance from situations that make him uncomfortable. I treat every pet as an individual. Whether they enjoy sniff-filled walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I take time to learn what helps them feel comfortable. I let them set the pace for affection and interaction rather than forcing a connection. I’ve been vegan for seven years as part of my personal commitment to animal welfare. That commitment includes respecting each pet’s dietary needs—I’m comfortable handling meat-based food and following their established feeding routine. You can expect clear communication, thoughtful updates, and photos while you’re away. I’d love to meet you and your pets and learn what helps them feel safe, understood, and cared for. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to plan walks, drop-ins, and house sits around your pet’s routine. For new clients, I prefer at least three days’ notice so we have time to arrange a meet-and-greet and make sure we’re a good fit before confirming a booking. During house sits, I stay overnight but may leave during the day for other pet-care bookings, errands, and personal commitments. Before booking, we’ll discuss your pet’s usual schedule, potty-break needs, and how long they can comfortably be left alone, so you know what to expect. I take a careful, detail-oriented approach to caring for both your pets and your home. At our meet-and-greet, I’ll ask about feeding instructions, walking routines, behavior, triggers, household rules, and emergency contacts. I welcome detailed care notes and will follow the plan we agree on. On walks, I’ll stay aware of our surroundings, keep your dog leashed, and avoid unfamiliar dogs or greetings unless we’ve specifically discussed them. I pay attention to body language and give pets space when they show discomfort rather than pushing them into an interaction. In your home, I’ll be mindful of doors, gates, and escape risks, keep feeding and litter areas tidy, and respect your instructions about access to rooms and outdoor spaces. For cats, I’ll offer attention without forcing handling or disturbing them when they need space. I’ll keep you updated with photos and notes about how your pet is doing and communicate promptly if I notice a change in their behavior, appetite, or bathroom habits. My aim is to maintain the familiar care they’re used to while giving them patience and support during your time away.

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life. Growing up in Serbia, I was always the person my friends and family could rely on when their pets needed someone to look after them. Whether it was walks, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping them company, taking care of dogs has always come naturally to me. I recently graduated from UC Berkeley and now work in soccer coaching here in the Bay Area. We’ll agree on exact visit times, drop-offs, and your pet’s routine before booking. For overnight or day care, please keep those short work commitments in mind so we can make sure your dog’s needs are a good fit. My dog Koko lives in Serbia, and I currently have no dog living with me in the Bay Area. I want your dog to feel safe, comfortable, and at home while you’re away. Before a booking, I like to discuss their routine, behavior around other dogs, feeding instructions, and any special needs. For care in my home, we’ll review the household setup and arrange a meet-and-greet so everyone is comfortable. In your home, I’ll respect your space and follow your care and access instructions. On walks, I’ll use your dog’s usual leash and equipment, pay attention to their comfort, and keep you updated.

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of looking after dogs with all kinds of personalities and needs: • Gator, my grandma’s goofy orange lab, who loved carrying giant rocks and playing in the water. • A shar-pei with big “Stanley-from-The-Office” energy, who needed daily walks and, later in life, extra care with meals and medication. • My parents’ pitbull, who I raised from the puppy stage and helped train—my most challenging and rewarding experience! These experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and how to adapt to each dog’s unique needs. I’m reliable, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with dogs (and I think they can tell!). I am currently doing freelance work and studying from home which means If there is WiFi, I am more than happy to stay at a place to be attentive with the pet and also keep them company. When I care for a pet I make sure they feel safe with me in their home, I let them warm up to me and I make sure they know that I am a friend by giving them their favorite treat. I prefer to meet pet before hand. If it’s a dog I avoid other dogs on walks and even if encouraged or recommended, I do not take them to the dog park. When in my care I want them to be safe and I know that can get tricky with other pups so I avoid it all around.
