Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid Certified | Aversive Free | Insured Pet Care Professional New to the app but I’ve been caring for friends’ pets for the last 15 years. I am a full time pet care provider with around the clock availability. I am able to provide overnight supervision of your pet(s) via housesitting bookings or up to three drop-ins/walks per client throughout the day. First time clients, please provide your pet’s vaccination records. I must receive vaccine confirmation prior to any physical contact with your pet. Additionally, all introductions to dogs must take place outside of the home to allow for decompression/emotional regulation time and to gauge comfort/trust levels before entering their home. If you employ aversive methods and/or equipment against your pet I cannot accept your request for pet care services. I kindly ask that you seek services from an alternate care provider, thank you. For the time being I only offer services based in clients’ homes as I have two large dogs in my home. In the future for long term dog care clients, we can explore day care or play dates once trust is established for everyone involved. Until then, I am happy to provide one on one time and undivided attention for your cats and dogs while you are away.

About: I have experience with cats and dogs of all shapes, sizes, & ages! I currently have an extremely cute and well-behaved 10yo black cat, but primarily grew up with dogs as well. My parents have 2 golden doodles in the family and I have trained 3 puppies over the past 7 years. I have experience caring for pups ranging from 150lb English Mastiffs to 6lb Papillons. About: I’ve spent much of my life caring for animals and genuinely love earning their trust. In high school, I worked in dog and cat boarding at a local veterinary practice, where I gained hands on experience caring for pets with different personalities, temperaments, and needs. Since then, I’ve continued pet and house sitting for friends, family, and clients, volunteered with shelter dogs and cats through the PSPCA, and cared for a wide variety of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, iguanas, ducks, quail, chickens, and fish. After spending the past eight months traveling and pet sitting, I’ve recently made the Bay Area my home. While I’m new to Rover, I’m not new to caring for pets. My goal is simple: to give you peace of mind while you’re away. I’ll care for your pets like family, communicate thoughtfully, and leave your home just as clean and cared for as you left it. My schedule is currently very flexible! I am especially interested in connecting with those in need of in home sitters while I am traveling, but open to day time walks and visits as well. I am a former real estate broker, used to have my own small business. I am taking some time out to work on my art, learn some tech skills, and travel. I am not able to care for pets in my home at this time as my apartment would require a hefty deposit. I am looking forward to working and traveling while using this app!

About: What sets me apart is that I have experience caring for dogs mainly through family and friends, including medium and large dogs, as well as puppies and senior dogs. I’m comfortable following set routines and making sure everything stays consistent, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, or daily care habits. I also have experience with leash-pulling dogs and basic training routines from working with my own dogs, so I’m comfortable reinforcing good behavior in a calm and patient way. I feel confident handling a wide range of situations and I’m happy to follow any specific instructions an owner provides. With dogs, I like a balance of walks, playtime, and downtime, but I always follow their lead, some dogs want lots of attention and activity, while others prefer space and quiet company. I’m comfortable with both and focus on making sure each dog feels safe, relaxed, and cared for. I also have experience with cats, and I enjoy working with multiple types of animals in a home. Overall, I’m reliable, patient, and focused on making sure every pet is well cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits into my routine really well because I have a flexible full-time job. I’m usually in the office about three days a week, but my schedule isn’t rigid and I can work from different locations or from home when needed, especially when I’m pet sitting. Because of that flexibility, I’m able to plan my day around feeding times, walks, and check-ins so pets stay on their normal routine. I generally walk dogs in the morning and afternoons, so it’s easy for me to build that into my day. I’m also available for morning, evening, and overnight care depending on what’s needed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible so they feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk times, medication, and any specific routines or house rules. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, whether that’s walks, playtime, or just quiet company depending on their personality. I’m also careful to respect their space and adjust my approach if a pet is shy or needs time to warm up. I keep the home clean and tidy, including feeding areas, water bowls, and litter boxes if needed, and I’m comfortable handling any messes or accidents. I also provide updates and photos so owners know how their pet is doing while they’re away.

My sitter plans fell through at the last minute, so I messaged Shelly asking if she could come over for a meet and greet the same night so she could start visiting my cat beginning the following day. I was mainly concerned with my cat getting enough human interaction while I was away. Shelly responded right away and was very prompt for our meeting. She was friendly and my cat felt comfortable w her right away. Shelly visited my cat for the 4 days I was away and I came home to a very happy and content cat. I'll be booking with her again:)”
