“Kelly is wonderful! We have a 10 month old 15 pound cavapoo named Daisy who we had to leave for two weeks. We were very nervous about it! Kelly was amazing--so responsible, caring, and reassuring. She clearly loves the work of caring for pets and is very good at it. She sent photos and videos twice a day and responded promptly to all of our communications. Daisy is nervous around other dogs but Kelly made her feel comfortable. Daisy even made some friends! When we came to pick Daisy up, she didn't want Kelly to leave her and whined as Kelly walked away. Kelly's now a part of Daisy's pack! We will definitely have Daisy stay with Kelly again when we have to travel.”

“Chad is wonderful with my Benny. When I leave Benny in his care I know that Benny has a great time and is well looked after because he sends me picture/video updates. Benny is always wagging his tail when he sees Chad. I will continue to book Chad.”

“Bibo was amazing! Very communicative and flexible when introducing the dogs before boarding. They provided pictures and updates over the stay, and their pup Mayca was a great host to Kuma!”

“Shannon was such an amazing help. Unfortunately our pup was not able to attend our wedding rehearsal and Shannon saved the day. She was flexible with pick up times, showed up exactly when we needed her, and was very professional. Shannon’s house is just as described and is perfect to house doggies. She sent many pictures and updates so you will never miss a moment.”

“Kennia was absolutely wonderful – she was communicative and professional, and our dog obviously had an amazing time hanging out with other pups and exploring the huge parks nearby! Highly recommended. Thank you, Kennia!”

About: We've designed our experience a little differently than most. Rather than filling our home with multiple unfamiliar dogs, we intentionally host just one dog (or one family's dogs) at a time. We made this decision because we know separation can be hard. Our goal is to give every guest a calm, relaxing vacation while giving their humans peace of mind knowing their pup has our full attention. My husband Cameron and I have both been around animals our entire lives and have experience with puppies, seniors, bulldogs, and dogs with special needs. We also have two young kids (ages 3 & 6) who absolutely love animals and know how to be gentle and respectful around them. Whether your dog loves hiking, backyard sniff sessions, playing fetch, or simply curling up on the couch for a nap, we'll happily match their pace. We'll also send plenty of photos and updates throughout their stay because we know being away from your dog isn't always easy. We'd love to meet you both! We keep our schedule intentionally flexible so we can build our day around your dog's routine instead of expecting them to adjust to ours. Your dog's safety is our number one priority. Our backyard is fully fenced and we supervise outdoor time closely. Because we have young children, we've already built our home around safety. Medications, chemicals, and anything potentially dangerous stay locked away, and as a gardener I'm always mindful of which plants are safe and which aren't. If your dog joins us for a walk or an adventure, they'll always be on leash and right by our side. They won't be left unattended anytime, ever. We don't take guest dogs to dog parks or introduce them to unfamiliar dogs. We prefer controlled environments where we know exactly what's going on. We know leaving your dog with someone new can feel stressful. We take that responsibility seriously and will care for them like one of our own.
“Meera was great and professional. She was very communicative and always sent photos of my dog the whole time, I really appreciate it. She was very sweet and gentle with jazz and took her on walks and hikes. I would recommend to anyone”

“Holly had a lovely time once again. Thanks for taking such great care of her. She loves romping in your yard (or sunbathing) and your cozy chairs. Appreciate your prompt communication and cute pictures 😍. Thanks again!”

“My little dog had a great time for a 5 night stay with Hy and Arlo. I was grateful for them responding so quickly to my initial request. We arranged a meet and greet at their home, and my dog was quickly at home in their lovely house and back yard. Hy sent many beautiful pics to me throughout the stay and let me know how he was doing. Really appreciate their care while I was away and I would absolutely book with them again.”

“Nikita & Anthony are amazing dog sitters. I trusted them completely to take care of my older dog while I was out of town. Really sweet people and excellent communication- clearly dog lovers. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Sherry is an AMAZING dog sitter!! I trusted her to care for my sweet but nervous 50lb girl, Ellie, and I could not have asked for a better sitter. Sherry was so thorough, she sent plenty of updates throughout and put me at ease! She was super responsive to my dog’s needs, and I could see Ellie just melting and falling in love with her through the updates. She’s got a lovely, clean and safe apartment and she is obviously someone who knows dogs well. I would trust Sherry with dog sitting ANY day! Highly recommend.”

“Lee is incredible! We boarded our dog Mochi with her for two weeks while we traveled, and Lee took wonderful care of her. Mochi can be nervous around new people and dogs, and Lee made sure she was comfortable and safe in her care. Lee is also super communicative and responsive, and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend her!”

“Ying is a wonderful dog sitter. She took care of our 75lbs Shepard mix and sent us fun photos and generally cared about his well being. We hope she’s available the next time we need a sitter!”

“We can’t recommend Megan and Jenny enough. We booked an extended stay for our pup and they provided us with regular pictures and updates. Our dog came back happy and healthy, and we won’t hesitate to rebook in the future!”

“Thank you Marlene for your terrific care of Raver! He had a great overnight with you and we're grateful for your warmth, clear communication and professionalism. We'll reach out to rebook for sure! Thanks again.”

“I could not be more pleased and appreciative of how well Kristen and Ryan took care of my Solo. This is the longest I have been out of town in a while and I wanted Solo to be in a comfortable and secure place and with people that will look after her as if she was their own. Kristen and Ryan did that for sure. They kept me well informed of how Solo was doing and it really looked like Solo enjoyed her time with them. I highly recommend Kristen and Ryan and will defiantly book any future pet sitting I need with them.”

“Maria and Kevan are wonderful!! They made our dog feel at home and I love all the photo updates I get from them. They’re very sweet and kind and I would definitely recommend them to any pup.”

“Harley had a terrific time with Jeff & Beth. She came home happy & exhausted. Thank you for all the pictures and updates! She clearly seemed at "home" in your house! I will definitely be reaching out the next time we need a doggie-sitter.”

About: Hello! My name is Mary. I am a lifelong pet owner and animal enthusiast. I grew up on a horse farm with dogs, cats, horses, hamsters, and the odd rogue toad, so caring for animals with love and respect is literally second nature. I'm a somatic embodiment coach by trade, so I have a unique skill set for helping animals feel relaxed and comfortable in my care. I have joyously fostered 20+ dogs and cats in their transition to forever homes, and have extensive experience with house and pet sitting. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds, from 6 pound little weasels to 80 pound gentle giants. I have a special place in my heart for seniors (and have experience caring for them.) I am comfortable and experienced with administering medication. Because I work from home online and over zoom, I can accommodate animals that need a shorter window of alone time. I'd be delighted to treat your fur family with all the love and care I would give my own. I look forward to hearing from you! I have my own online business, so my schedule is very fluid and flexible. I love walking dogs and can easily do day or evening walks and stop-bys. I have experience with staying in many different homes and I know that every animal has its own unique routines, needs and rituals that help it feel in flow. I'm very happy to work with your pet in the way they are used to.

“Presley and Freya loved having Melissa take care of them! I arrived home from my trip yesterday with two pretty relaxed kitties, and a slew of new photos to add to my collection 😁 She was a great communicator, and left everything just as she found it.”

“Shanley is an excellent cat sitter! She did drop-in visits for my cat and handled everything thoroughly and with great care. She’s a great communicator and was really helpful when some last minute issues came up with my mail. I came home to a very happy cat!”

“Cara did a very good job with my Kenya cat while I was away for five days. I received photos and updates daily, and when I got home Kenya looks and acted like a happy, well cared for girl. I have no hesitation recommending Cara. She is great. Five stars.”

“Kayla is truly the BEST and we feel so lucky we found her 🥹✨ From our very first meet & greet, we knew she was special — she literally showed up with a notebook and asked the most thoughtful questions about our dogs, routines, preferences, and care. That level of preparation and attention immediately put us at ease. She gives total Disney princess energy. So gentle, calm, kind, and clearly such an animal person. Both of our small, anxious rescue pups absolutely adore her (which says everything because they can be pretty selective with people!). She made them feel safe right away and has been incredibly patient and attentive with them. She’s also an amazing communicator — proactive, responsive, thoughtful updates, and just generally someone who makes you feel like your pets are in such good hands. We’re so grateful to have found Kayla and genuinely can’t recommend her enough. Thank you for taking such good care of our fur babies 🤍”

“Vania was awesome!!! I needed someone last minute and she came through. She was great with my two pitbulls and treated them like queens. She was always on time and very communicative with pictures. I strongly recommend and will be using her in the future.”

“Maia was extremely good, sent pics every single day and was extremely responsive. I extended my trip two times and she was more than willing to add extra days. Definitely recommend!”

“Anais responded to my very last minute request when my previously-arranged cat care fell through. She fit in time to meet me and go over information in person on very short notice. She was kind, communicative and flexible. I was able to enjoy my trip knowing my senior cat was in loving and experienced hands!”

About: I’ve always loved animals, for their big hearts and one of a kind personality traits. My family had a Rottweiler when I was a child and she always felt like the little sister I never had. My hours are flexible so I’m open to meeting your requirements to watch over your pet. I currently don’t have any pets at the moment, so having the opportunity to cuddle up & spend some time making a new furry friend would be a treat. Overall, I’m very passionate when it comes to the safety & well-being of your pets, so I look forward to providing I am currently a freelance filmmaker, so my schedule is pretty flexible! I’m available for boarding on the weekdays, Saturdays from 10am-4pm and Sundays after 3pm it's important for me to understand the type of pet I'm caring for so that i can gauge what type of activities they're into. I love being outdoors, so if your pet is active then i can take them to some of my favorite hiking trails that are near your home. If they're homebodies then I'll typically play some tug-o-war, or fetch with their favorite toys until they're tired. Then i'll feed them and chill out.

About: As a big sister and former babysitter, I’ve had plenty of experience taking care of little ones—both human and furry! Growing up in a home with 10 cats, plus dogs, chickens, and even goats, I’ve always been surrounded by animals and know how to handle all kinds of personalities. I have no problem cleaning up messes, scooping litter boxes, and making sure your kitty’s space stays fresh and tidy. Whether it’s giving extra cuddles, engaging in playtime, or just making sure their food and water are topped up, I’ll treat your cat like one of my own. I also have experience caring for older cats and administering medication, so I understand the importance of keeping a routine. Every cat is different, and I make sure to respect their space while still providing all the care and love they need while you're away!
About: Rover is an amazing thing in my family's life. Our whole household REALLY LOVES DOGS. We love all the different dog personalities we get to know. We genuinely appreciate pet families trusting us to care for their pet(s). Boarding is our most used and preferred service of the Tree House. We have many regular clients who use our Boarding and Doggy Day Care services. We love all sizes of dogs and the full range of dog personalities. We host up to 3 guest dogs at a time and are very conscientious of the dogs we host and how they will interact. Therefore, if your dog does not do well with other dogs, our house may not be a great fit for your pet. We get requests for exclusive bookings, and where we can accommodate these requests, we will. ****price for exclusive bookings is 2X our service rate, boarding or day care slot**** We require all new clients to do a meet-&-greet, so we can only accommodate last-minute new clients if we get a solid referral from another sitter, you are a friend of the family, or one of our regular clients referred you. We have found our guests do much better when they have been here and sniffed about before their stay. Your dog(s) will be loved and treated with the utmost respect by every member of our household and any other guests. Our home is very relaxed, and our backyard is a dog paradise with lots of shade and different areas for dogs to claim their own space. We always have a crew of dogs, so your dog will have plenty of stimulation and exercise while at our home. We work from home and are here nearly all the time. Pickup and drop-off times are flexible—the key is communication and consideration—fees may apply where either is lacking. The yard has plenty of room for guests to stretch it out and find their own space. We are happy to accommodate crating, and problem children will have some sort of time out until they can ground and be good guests. We are not disciplinarians but are pretty good at setting boundaries thru timeouts and rewards.
“Faith took great care of our cat - she provided me daily updates (including pictures) which I really appreciated, and our cat’s eating area was neat and tidy when we returned. Our cat is really shy and I was impressed with Faith’s approach to meeting her the first time (our cat didn’t immediately run away!). I’m really happy to have found Faith and highly recommend her.”

“Kelly took such wonderful care of our pup!! At 4 months old, Moose needs a LOT of play and attention (our training seems to go out the window when he's in a new place), but Kelly did an amazing job keeping him happy, loved, and up to speed with his commands. We could tell from the second we dropped him off that she knew exactly how to handle his puppy energy, and she sent us pictures and updates throughout the day to let us know how things were going. She even sent him home with his favorite snacks!! We will definitely rebook with Kelly in the future :)”

“Chad took excellent care of my young and energetic greyhound with a lot of separation anxiety. When I picked her up she was happy and excited, but she didn’t show any signs of distress. Prior to my dog’s stay at his home Chad had invited us over for a meet&greet and he took a lot of time to inquire about my dog’s character and behaviors, which made me very confident that things would be alright. Chad was also willing to accommodated my travel schedule. I am happy with the experience and hope he will be available next time I have to go out of town.”

“Asha has been amazing with my pup, Rahi. She communicates super well and genuinely loves dogs. I get pictures and videos through the day and I’m so much at peace leaving my Rahi with her. Highly, highly recommend!!”

“Meera took great care of my mini poodle puppy. She took him for a walk and paid special attention to his needs as a puppy who is too rambunctious at times. Meera was great to interact with because she is kind and thoughtful. I recommend her highly!”
About: I’ve been a dog person since diapers—started with my parents’ pup, then my own fur baby who lived to 18. Now I’m raising my 4‑year‑old sweetie. Dogs love my calm vibe (and maybe my treat). My friends joke I’m their “dog’s favorite human,” because I’m always the first call when they need a sitter. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work from home and, being between jobs, I have plenty of free time to give dogs my full attention. I love taking long walks in nature with my own dog—it’s a therapeutic boost for both of us. Living in a peaceful neighborhood and tranquil home makes it easy to provide a calm, safe environment. I typically walk 2–3 times a day, so regular exercise and companionship are always part of my schedule. Safety is a top priority in my home. I have a spacious, secure, closed balcony where dogs can enjoy fresh air safely, and my own friendly dog is happy to provide companionship for your pup. There’s also a fenced area by my entrance, which adds an extra layer of protection to prevent dogs from slipping outside. With these safeguards, you can feel confident that your pet will be cared for in a safe and welcoming environment.
“Tamara is the best dog sitter that my puppy has ever had! She’s super responsive, genuine, and makes you feel very comfortable when watching your fur baby. When my puppy stayed the night, Tamara sent lots of pictures and videos to let me know how he was doing every step of the way. And when day sitting, Tamara took my puppy on a long hike to get him exercise. He also got along very well with her super friendly dog, Finn! Thanks so much Tamara for keeping my puppy Kali in good care. I really appreciate you!”

About: I'm a very responsible middle-aged woman who works from home and would be happy to care for your fur baby. Eventually I'll get a dog of my own! Our household consists of me and my partner, Rocky. We both grew up with pets, but currently don't have any. I work about 15-25 hours a week from home so I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks around the neighborhood and trips to the Alameda dog park. My partner and I are homebodies and enjoy spending time working on our house and gardening. I have a fenced in yard and several rooms of my house can be sectioned off to allow for large spaces to hang out, if the dog needs it's own space. I also have plenty of room to set up a crate. I do not have any pets. I would love to get a dog, but I travel to Vancouver 4 times a year to visit my mom in long term care and occasionally I have to travel for a week or more for work and I don't want to leave a pet for that long. My partner goes to the office Monday - Friday.
“Our Australian shepherd had an awesome time playing with Brodie the golden doodle all day on Christmas Eve. He seemed really happy all day and he slept really well that night! It worked out perfectly. Thank You!”

About: I grew up with 6 pit bulls, taking sun baths with them in my backyard. I’ve volunteered in SF SPCA and donate monthly. My best friend aka Herita is a rescue, she’s been with me for over 3 years now. I believe animals have taught me how to love unconditionally and responsibly. Calm, trust and safety are my top priorities. I hope you give me the chance to connect with you and your fur baby/ babies. I work from home. I normally take Hera on a walk every morning for about 30 mins. Come back and hit the gym. After that I’m free. I can always head over in the am, afternoon or evenings. I have a fenced yard, Herita is spayed and loves to play with other dogs. Her bff is a 3 y/o Doberman. Which I take care of a couple of times a week (take her out on walks and feed her)
“Sydney was very happy with Kit. She has two friendly dogs and a beautiful home with tons of outdoor space perfectly suited for sunbathing and sniffing. Will definitely bring my pup back for a repeat visit!”

“Cassandra is the best! She’s my go to sitter for my very nervous and needy pup. Cassandra is so understanding and calm with her, sends photos and videos, and my dog is always happy with her time there.”

“Shanley was very sweet with Ruby. She was very thorough in asking questions to ensure she could take good care of Ruby during the day. We got great photos and updates during the day. And Ruby came back so happy!”

“I feel so lucky to have found Daniela! My dog is almost 13 and he loves seeing her and is always calm and well taken care of when I pick him up. Daniela communicates clearly, sends updates and pictures, and I feel her sincere care for my pup.”

About: I had a dog for 15 years and while we are holding out on getting a new one for a few years till we stop traveling so much, we would love to hang with yours periodically when in town! We have a fenced in yard to throw a ball in (and a six and nine year old who never tire in doing so) and love taking walks to all the local Piedmont parks with a pup. My husband is mildly allergic, so unfortunately only able to take in non shedding, hypoallergenic poodle type mixes. And of course dogs need to be kid friendly, but my kiddoes are very sweet and gentle with dogs and will give the dogs lots of pets and affection in return. My husband and I both predominately work from home so there's always someone around to love on a furry friend or take a break to get outside for a walk. I predominately work from home and I love frequent walks with a pup. We live close to many Piedmont parks which is a great place to go and visit other dogs or just explore some new grounds. I have a fenced yard and loving older gentle children who adore pets. I can crate your dog if desired to sleep, but also have kids that would be very happy to snuggle if preferred. You can trust that we will care for your pups as if they are our very own family dog for the duration of their stay.

“I cannot recommend Andre highly enough! From the meet and greet, it was clear he was a true dog lover and incredibly professional. He took wonderful care of our dog Charlie, and provided updates with photos. It was such a relief he was in such good hands. We will absolutely be booking again and highly recommend him!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs through friends and family, and have spent significant time caring for my uncle’s dog over the years. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every dog like my own, and your pet’s comfort and safety is always the priority I’m currently working a professional internship on weekdays, so I’m available for pet care early mornings before 9am, evenings after 6pm, and fully available on weekends. I’m always reachable and send updates with photos so owners have peace of mind.
“Zsa-zsa is phenomenal and did a great job caring for my old dog while I was out of town. She is communicative and kind and clearly has a way with the four-legged among us. She'll be our go-to-gal from here on out!”

“Adam is a wonderful pet carer and our shy rescue pup immediately warmed up to him. He has a great, calming, positive energy and is completely trustworthy. As soon as I met him, I knew Chami would be in good hands. He's very punctual, always bang on time to walk our dog and responsive with messaging and photo updates. I would 100% recommend him!”

“Elyse was amazing! Our normal dog walker bailed on us last minute, so we needed someone fast. Elyse went above and beyond making sure our dogs were comfortable with her and had great communication with us. She is super sweet and our pitties love her!!!”

“Whitney has walked my dog, Otis, for almost a year and a half and has been so wonderful! She was super reliable and flexible with my weird work schedule. He’s an accident prone guy and she’s been so patient with his various injuries, limps, medicines, treat restrictions, etc. I always got the silliest, cutest pictures of him which brightened my day! So appreciative of the peace of mind for my little mutt! I’m moving, so I have to cancel our service and we will miss Whitney! Thank you!”

About: My pug mix Lulu will LOVE to go on walks with your dog in the Oakland hills. Lulu loves all friends and has made so many furry friends in the neighborhood in Piedmont Pines. We are very active together and go on lots of walks, hikes and I take Lulu to Joaquin Miller dog park and Fairy Land dog meet up. Lulu's happiness and joy is my priority, and we prioritize being outside for playtime and hikes as much as possible. I'll be sure to include this care for your pets as well because they deserve to have the most fun possible!! I currently work a couple part time jobs and my schedule is very flexible. Pet care is easy for me at the moment. I try my absolute best to keep everything as safe and as comfortable as possible at my home for the dogs!! They are my priority :) I always keep a good eye on them when they are in the backyard, and I never leave them fully alone when they are outside. They also get endless cuddles from me throughout the day, which I hope helps them feel comforted and safe with me :)

“I was amazed how calm my pit bull Dalmatian mix was after his walk with Felicia, He never sleeps through the night, being 1yr old hes always so energetic he chews my stuff up while I sleep. Toys are not enough to keep his spazyness under control lol, but after his walk he went strait to bed :) deff will be booking Felicia again for evning walks!”

“Kennia was absolutely wonderful – she was communicative and professional, and our dog obviously had an amazing time hanging out with other pups and exploring the huge parks nearby! Highly recommended. Thank you, Kennia!”

“Sharon is a dog owner’s dream. Charlie was so happy and comfortable, she looked liked Sharon was her owner, making my own vacation worry free. Lots of good walks and cuddling. We will be back in the future!”

“Wow, I’m glad we found Mike! First, he was extremely responsive. When we messaged looking for boarding for our dog in about a weeks time, he replied quickly and set up a meet and greet for the next day. He replied quickly to all our messages bout logistics. Second, he has a great combination of attentiveness and no-stress. He asked all the usual questions about our dog, and wanted to get to know her needs. When meeting Bowie for the first time, he read he body language as other dogs went by and even guessed “she isn’t been to this park before, right?” Which was true. Our dog isn’t used to socializing much with other dogs, so we were a little nervous about leaving her with another dog in the house. But Mike was very relaxed and confident about it, without being minimizing. We could tell that he reads dogs carefully and knows his dog well which made us feel comfortable that he could manage the two dogs interactions well. Finally, Bowie clearly had fun! We got some great pictures of her on hikes, lounging in the yard, and napping on the couch - her kind of vacation! My only hesitation in leaving a positive review is that other people might snag the future dates we want for boarding 😁”

“Kathryn, Christopher, and their family were so kind and accommodating to my dog, Riley over the holiday. I received pictures and updates on how he was settling in. “Inkoo was a wonderful host for Tino, keeping him happy with lots of long walks, naps in the sun, and snuggles even on the bed. I loved her daily updates with pictures of him clearly relaxed and enjoying himself. Top notch care! I appreciate that she took my request with fairly short notice and was able to do a meet and greet the next day! We will definitely be reaching out to her again for future boarding needs.”

“Stephanie, her husband, and her two sweet doggies made Clover and Willow feel right at home! From day one, Stephanie was very accommodating of Clover’s anxiety, giving her space and patience when she needed it the most. She took both girls on adventures (Willow was always down; Clover sometimes stayed home) and they clearly had a blast! I couldn’t recommend Stephanie enough to care for your pups. The care she provided, as well as adorable pics/vids and detailed reports, had me relaxed that my dogs were in good hands for my entire trip! Thank you so much!”

“I received a lot of communication, videos and pictures from Jonathan. It was clear that our Minnie was being taken good care of and having a good time. This made us feel so happy that we can go out of town and leave her in good hands!”
