Pet Sitting & Drop Ins In Rockridge

About: For the last four years I’ve lived in a home with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. One was a senior at 13 years old and the other is three. I’ve learned how to adapt to their different needs based on age and personality while setting boundaries and aligning to my Housemate’s desires for their care. (Which has helped me get to know new dogs pretty quickly.) We walk, play and cuddle. When needed I administer medication, feed them, and sometimes cook for them. I look forward to chatting with you about your family’s needs. When house sitting I do not schedule any other families for walks or drop-ins. The care I provide is all inclusive so that your baby gets all of my love and care. If I am not house sitting, I’m available everyday after 11am for walks and drop-ins within a 1 mile radius of lower Rockridge or easily reachable by public transportation. To ensure safety and comfort, I won’t be walking any other dogs outside of your household. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable. I’ll come to you for walks.

My days are currently flexible outside of my daily morning yoga practice and splitting my own pet care with my partner, which currently includes a 30 minute lunchtime walk of my own pups. About: hi! i’m supriya :) i’m a cat mom to a sassy tortie named tiger, who accompanied me all throughout my college experience! i also love & miss my sweet & shy cavapoo (who lives with my parents on the east coast). i’m experienced with all the basic caretaking for cats & dogs, including but not limited to: dog-walking, brushing, clipping nails, feeding dry & wet food, giving oral medication, litter cleaning, teasing my cat with laser toys :P & lots & lots of cuddles <3 i also cared for three different pairs of gerbils & am familiar with cage-cleaning, feeding, setting up baths, cuddling, & so on. i’m open to gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc! i’m a grad student, so my schedule is flexible based on my classes! i’ll have more availability this summer (in july & august) as well :) i will always ensure that your pet gets attention & care! i understand that if you’re traveling or out of the house, this might be the only interaction your pet is getting that day, & i will be mindful of being present with them & providing them with lots of love <3 i’m happy to take photos to send if you’re missing them! & let me know about their favorite activities :P

During walks, I prioritize safety first by using secure leashes, following your preferred routes, and adjusting pace and distance to your dog’s age, energy level, and comfort. Walks include positive reinforcement, sniff time, and plenty of attention. For drop-in visits, I make sure your pet is comfortable and cared for by providing fresh food and water, potty breaks, playtime, medication if needed, and lots of affection. I respect your home, follow all instructions carefully, and always leave things tidy. I provide regular updates with notes and photos so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away. About: Howdy! My name's Rachel, I'm new to the area. I am a lover of all animals, but especially dogs. I grew up with a lovable and energetic Akita, so I have a big love for larger dogs. I currently live with my cat, Henri, who I found in an alley in Chicago a few years ago. I formerly worked for a local dog boarding and daycare spot. I'm a pretty active person, I like hiking and running and being outside, all activities that could be even more fun with a four legged companion. I'm happy to answer any questions you have, and am looking forward to meeting! I am very available for weekends to walk, visit, or care for pets! I work during the week but possibly could make time in the evenings At my home, I do have a cat who is friendly. I have a babygate that I set up or lock the cat in my room when dogs are visiting. I am open to making house visits also! I believe pets who are already stressed out when their person is away for extended periods should feel comfortable and be in their own place.

About: I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, including feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic medications, and providing lots of attention and companionship. I’m very attentive to pets’ routines and comfort levels, and I always aim to make them feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while their owners are away. I also understand the importance of clear communication and sending regular updates and photos. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to spend quality time with pets throughout the day. I currently work full time with a work from home schedule 3 days a week, which gives me availability for walks, drop-ins, boarding, and extended care. I’m able to provide plenty of supervision, attention, exercise, and companionship to make sure pets are happy and comfortable in my care. I work from home 3 days a week (M W F). And I'm home most weekends. My job is flexible so as long as I don't have meetings I can take breaks throughout the day as needed for pets. I've taken my friend's dogs on walks during my work hours and given attention to pets during their stay, treats and cuddles :) I have an open space layout so I will be able to be close to the pet and see what they're doing while I'm home.

About: I grew up in a family that rescued and fostered over 50 animals, which instilled a deep passion for and comfortableness with animal care. In the past 10 years , I have provided short term and long term care for cats ranging in age from 8 weeks to senior. This has included giving oral medication, pills, and post-surgery care. I’m fortunate to also have a strong network of folks with pet care and veterinary expertise who are knowledgeable advisers when I need it. In all situations, I lead with compassion for the animal first :) My work schedule is flexible and largely work-from-home with no location requirement, meaning I am easily able to housesit with a pet on most days. I have my own car so can travel as needed as well. Unfortunately I am unable to provide overnight stays for a pet in my home. However, I am happy to housesit, and can also provide plant care if needed! How I care for your pet in your home is up to your preferences, but when I am able I always try to be home with the pet throughout the day providing play and attention as needed :)

About: I was the owner of a medium/large dog for 12 years. My neighbors and family have also relied on me for house visits and walks. I’m currently working full time, and am available for walks early mornings or in the evenings. I’m flexible on the weekends for home visits or walks I showered my dog with love and brought her for frequent walks before her recent passing. I think dogs are happiest when they get lots of attention and plenty of time outdoors, and I would treat your dog as if it’s my own!
