A family member owns a farm, and when their dog had puppies, I helped care for the litter and learned how important patience, love, and attention are. We live in a spacious, pet-friendly 2b2b apartment in Oakland. For your peace of mind, we have a dedicated spare room that is not used by humans, it’s a perfect "private suite" for pets who need their own space, are shy, or require isolation for health or personality reasons.

About: I’ve built a loyal client base since 2022 primarily through word of mouth and have many excellent references. I have experience caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, needs, and routines, and I consider myself well-prepared to handle a variety of situations. I’m highly communicative, proactive, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs. I always strive to go the extra mile for my clients, making sure both pets and their people feel heard, respected, and confident in their care. This work brings me a great deal of joy, and I genuinely love getting to know and care for each animal. I work remotely, which gives me the flexibility to provide pet care throughout the week and travel across the Bay Area for in-home sits. Pets are also welcome to stay with me at my Emeryville loft. I have an 8-year-old Chihuahua-Terrier mix who is friendly with most animals and mostly keeps to himself. I prioritize regular walks, play, enrichment, and plenty of affection throughout the day. When caring for dogs in their home, I aim for 2–3 walks daily on safe, familiar routes; there is also a dog park directly across from my loft if that’s a good fit for the dog. I follow each client’s care instructions closely, communicate proactively if questions come up, and keep clients updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for.

About: I've grown up with dogs and cats. I know their behavior and what to look for, and I love showering them all with the attention and affection they deserve! I have two cats myself (they're nearly 15 now), but my family has always had dogs. English Springer Spaniels, specifically. At one point, we had 3 of them! I'm the go-to petsitter when my friends and family are out of town, and I'd love to meet yours. I'm currently flexible so looking for anything from one-off visits to regularly scheduled ones. I can't do overnights because of my own pets but on occasion I'm sure we can work something out. Any instructions you have for how to care for your pet are appreciated. Depending on your home I'm happy to let pups out or keep them in, just need to let me know your (and their) preference.

That span taught me to tune in to each dog's needs by age and personality: the gentleness a senior needs, the structure a young dog needs, the patience a puppy needs. I walk, play, and cuddle; I also handle medications, feeding, and even home-cooked meals when needed. It means I tend to click with new dogs fast. These days I don't have animals of my own, which makes the time I get with clients' pets feel like a gift. This is also my full-time work — no day job pulling me away. I feel really lucky. I'd love to chat about what your family needs. When I'm house sitting, your pet is my home base. I may step out for a walk or two with another client during the day, but your baby's routine comes first and they get the bulk of my time, love, and care. When I'm not house sitting, I'm available every day after 11am for walks and drop-ins from Oakland up to the El Cerrito areas. To keep things safe and comfortable, I never walk dogs from different households together. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable.
