About: For over three and a half years I’ve lived in a home with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. One is a senior at 13 years old and the other is three. I’ve learned how to adapt to their different needs based on age and personality while setting boundaries and aligning to my Housemate’s desires for their care. (Which has helped me get to know new dogs pretty quickly.) We walk, play and cuddle. When needed I administer medication, feed them, and sometimes cook for them. I look forward to chatting with you about your family’s needs. When house sitting I do not schedule any other families for walks or drop-ins. The care I provide is all inclusive so that your baby gets all of my love and care. If I am not house sitting, I’m available everyday after 11am for walks and drop-ins within a 1 mile radius of lower Rockridge or easily reachable by public transportation. To ensure safety and comfort, I won’t be walking any other dogs outside of your household. I am available to spend time with your pet(s) in their home where they will be the most comfortable. I’ll come to you for walks.
“Stephanie was a wonderful sitter for my cat. She was responsible, responsive, and communicative throughout her time watching my cat. She provided daily updates and made sure to ask questions when needed to ensure my cat was cared for well. I would have Stephanie cat sit again for me!”

“She got my trust right away as she seems genuinely caring for animals. Both my dog and kitty were pretty calmed and happy after Nicole watched them. Appreciated the responsiveness and checking in for questions. Thank you so much Nicole!”

“Michelle was amazing! I had a last minute emergency come up and I had to leave my 4 month old puppy home alone all day. I was frantic bc 1, I’ve never left him since the day I got him & 2, bc no one was been around my puppy alone since the day I got him. Michelle was able to fulfill my last minute request and put my mind at ease. Michelle was very communicative; she sent pictures and videos during both of her visits. I could cry at how great Michelle is Thank you again Michelle for your help”

“Emily was fantastic with my cat Sola. They were prompt with communication and left very detailed check-in notes about Sola, which gave me great peace of mind. Emily was also very flexible when it came to coordinating key drop-off/pick-up. I would highly recommend Emily's services to anyone!”

About: I have experience from fostering troublesome kittens that need special care to adapt to new environments, to adult cats that I’ve looked after since they were young! I’m currently a grad student with a flexible schedule and routine that can work around your pet’s needs for cuddles at all times of the day! I go above and beyond to make sure each animal feels as comfortable as possible. I mimic whatever routine and environment the cat is used to keep them as stress free as possible. I clean the litter box daily, and check to make sure water and food are available as needed :)
“Yena was absolutely wonderful! 100/100 would book her again! This was my first time using Rover or any dog watching service/platform for Emmy and I couldn't have asked for a better experience or person. From the start, Yena was very kind, professional, and helpful in the booking and meet&greet process. She was flexible and accommodating with my last minute request as my original plan for the weekend fell through. The meet & greet went really well with Emmy, and Yena asked all the questions that make a pet owner feel comfortable and confident leaving their loved one in her hands. During the booking, Yena sent thorough and fun updates along with several photos of each drop by and tracked her routines even reaching out a day where Emmy didn't finish her food but noted that she was still excited about treats. Reassuring me that she cared about Emmy, wanted to know if I felt anything was off, and understood the stress some animals can experience when their owners are away. She even washed her food and water bowls that were getting a little grimy! I felt 100% comfortable, confident, and at ease that Emmy was in good hands with Yena. 10/10 would recommend her for your pet! THANK YOU YENA!!!”

About: Choosing a pet sitter can be stressful, but with my background, you can finally relax. I offer more than just walks and playtime—I provide veterinary-level peace of mind. For over 15 years, I worked as a Veterinary Technician, honing my skills at some of the most respected animal hospitals throughout San Francisco. My clinical experience is vast, and I am proficient in everything from medication administration to monitoring post-operative patients. On top of that, I have unique hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of species gained during my time at the San Francisco Zoo. What this means for you: Safety First: I am highly trained to recognize and respond to potential medical issues quickly. Specialized Experience: Need someone comfortable with insulin injections, sub-Q fluids, or complicated medication schedules? I’ve got it covered. All Creatures Welcome: While I adore dogs of all shapes and sizes, my love doesn't stop there. I am highly comfortable and experienced in caring for your pocket pets (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters) and even snakes and fish. My mission is simple: to provide reliable, compassionate, and expert care so your pets feel secure and happy while you are away. I currently work from home part-time doing administrative work for a leading veterinary company as I transition from in clinic work to pet-care full time. I'm available most of the day to assist with your pet's care. Whether in your home or my home, your pet will be cared for like they're my own. I will give each pet the chance to get to know me, as well to get to know them, so our bond will become as close as it is with you.

About: It is always a happy day in our household! We specialize in personalized pet care by taking one dog in at a time. ALL PHOTOS SHOWN ARE OF GUEST DOGS THAT WE HAVE CARED FOR. WE like to give our guest pups oodles of one on one attention and promise one long hike or beach trip one a day. We both work out of home and if we are gone it is never more than two- four hours at a time. We have a playful 3-year-old cattle dog puppy who is well socialized and loves to PLAY, - (but crazy puppy energy is not for her) and we have an older Papillion mix that we adopted from a previous client. We have a cat who is friendly with dogs but due to her mental health-WE CAN'T ACCEPT CAT CHASING DOGS AND NO DOGS OVER 30 LBS We have no problem with older dogs, and medicating if needed, and have experience with giving shots and oral medicating. Sunny has worked various jobs in the medical world. We chose to care for medium to small-sized dogs just to make sure there is enough bed space . :) Our property is a well-fenced-in pet-friendly quadraplex that has an excellent zen garden in the back. We are huge fans of Mosswood Park, Berkeley Marina, and Point Isabel, and guarantee check-ins with photos, videos, and updates. No matter what, your baby( young or old) will come home well-rested and well-exercised! We also will consider a reasonable discount if two dogs come from the same home. Great Central location in Temescal! I currently have a flexible schedule, and Clyde works from home as a musician- if we leave the house and you prefer, we will crate your fur baby for its safety. Since we only care for one fur baby at a time - they get a free run of our house beds and sofas included! Happy Puppies is our motto!
About: I have loved animals since I was a little kid, and I grew up surrounded by animals including a cat, two dogs, and a rabbit. As a teen, I was also a junior zookeeper for several years at my local wildlife refuge, helping to care for animals that couldn’t be released into the wild and also educating visitors on the importance of these animals and their natural habitats. For the last 10 years, I have had the pleasure of being the guardian of a sassy little tabby named Moon. I have also had the pleasure to housesit for some other furry friends when their humans were out of town. Currently have a pretty flexible schedule as long as I know a few days in advance what’s up 😊 Which is why I unfortunately can’t take same day bookings. I am committed to making sure that your furry family members are safe and well cared for while they are with me. Please communicate any known issues to me (things your pet likes to chew that they shouldn’t, medications they take, behavior issues, for instance) and in turn I will do my absolute best to keep them safe and report any possible issues immediately.
“Nicole is awesome! She seems to really care about Bella and came through for me at the last minute when I had to stay later than expected at work. Super positive and seems to really love animals. ?”
“Such a wonderful pet sitter — she took such great care of my kitties! Thank you for your attention to detail, care, and love for them while i was on holiday. Would definitely hire again!”

“Laura is such a professional and someone that clearly connects with animals. We needed someone to take care of two high energy cats at the last minute for a long vacation, and Laura stepped in, learned the particulars and did a great job.”

Temescal pet parents share their Rover experiences
We were a little nervous leaving our kitties behind while away on a long international trip (almost 3 weeks), but we were also confident that Marian would take good care of them. Not only did she gain their trust and affection (including one somewhat shy and nervous cat), she also made sure that messes and accidents were taken care of, and we came back to happy, healthy cats and a clean home. We really appreciated Marian's availability, flexibility, and timely updates and communication especially over the busy holiday season. I'm sure our cats would be happy to see her again in the future!

We were very pleased with Tara's care for our two indoor cats and our colony of outdoor feral cats while we were traveling last month. She sent photos during every visit, often showing one of our cats sleeping on her lap -- clearly they were comfortable with her. When we returned, the house was clean and the cats were happy. We would not hesitate to book Tara again.

Alishba was terrific with my baby, Willow. He seemed very comfortable with her and so was I due to her experience with her own cats, as well as taking care of other pets. Despite the one or two times where she arrived a bit later than scheduled, she was definitely worth every cent! She went above and beyond with creating pillow forts, brushing his teeth and hair daily, and leaving boxes from the food packaging to keep him stimulated in between visits. Thank you again Alishba!!

Stephanie did a great job with our cats. She was very attentive to details during the initial meet and greet and went beyond the instructions we gave an helped even clean up after our cats when they got messy. She was detailed in her visit summary and overall did exactly what we expect from a sitter and a little more.

We had a great experience with Artemis! Communication was excellent throughout, with regular updates that gave us real peace of mind. They were incredibly patient and gentle with our very shy cat, allowing him to warm up at his own pace. We would absolutely book them again and highly recommend them to anyone with a timid or anxious cat!
