“Matthew was communicative, punctual, and good with our three dogs. He was able to get all three of them walking quickly, a decent distance, and going to the bathroom, which is very valuable for us! We will definitely request Matt again!”

About: I’ve always loved caring for pets and have hands-on experience with both dogs and cats. I've been a life-long dog lover and I currently have a cat of my own that fits my current lifestyle. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, including puppies, senior dogs, and shy or anxious animals. I’m patient, attentive, and flexible, making sure each pet gets the care, attention, and routine they need. I can provide walks, playtime, feeding, and even gentle training reinforcement if needed. My goal is to make pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I'm currently working a remote job and have a very flexible schedule. I can be available for house check-ins or walks at basically any time of day, every day of the week. I follow each pet’s routine carefully, providing feeding, playtime, walks, litter box maintenance, and any medications as needed. I treat each home with respect, keeping it clean and organized, while making sure pets feel safe and happy in their familiar surroundings.
About: I have walked dogs and pet sat cats and dogs. I also have done lot of volunteering at two shelters the SPCA and Chico animal shelter. I also have done the SPCA dog training summer camp. I normally feed my dog and also she is 14 , also she is is pretty lazy, this means you need to get her walking more than she would like. I treat my pet like they’re a human. I love using hand signals to ask for the dog wants and to talk to the dog.
“Christina was recommended from my prior Rover dog sitter. I had needed to find a new sitter/walker since my regular Rover dog sitter/walker was not available on my dates. Christina initiated a meet & greet which not every person on Rover offers. I really liked that! She was prompt, professional and my dogs immediately warmed up to her. Although I was out of her normal zip codes, she was willing to walk my dogs when I was out of town. My 2 pups pull on the leash and she was okay with that. I would recommend her to friends & family. Thank you Christina!”

About: Hello, my name is Heather. I’m an Oakland based animal care giver & artist. Offering dog walking, pet sitting, and overnight care. I’m most experienced with cats, dogs, ferrets and bunnies, but have a love for all in the animal kingdom. I once trained a fighting pit bull into a licensed assistance dog. It was exhausting but so fulfilling! I like to spend my free time creating art, walking the beach and hiking. Does your lonely pet enjoy this type of environment? Let’s meet up! I can’t wait to meet you & your furry friend 🐾 As a freelance artist, I enjoy a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive, dependable pet care with plenty of time for walks, play, and companionship. Your pets deserve safe, loving, and reliable care. 5 Star care- attentive, and trustworthy, I provide peace of mind while keeping your furry family happy, secure, and comfortable.
“Laura is very gentle, confident and attentive to all we have to tell her (which was a lot!) about our dogs. Lisah is an anxious dog but she takes up to Laura right away!! Thank You Laura!”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats and have been pet sitting for friends and family in Minnesota for years. Just relocated to the Bay Area and making it official on Rover. For the first time in my life, I don’t have a pet of my own. I’d love to take care of and spend that pet love on yours. I work remotely and run my own business, so my schedule is incredibly flexible. I can work around whatever your pet needs throughout the day. I’ve owned a reactive, anxiously attached dog, so I’m comfortable with the ones that need a little extra patience. Senior dogs, high-anxiety pups, all sizes, I’ve got it covered. I work remotely and my schedule is flexible. If your pet needs full-time company, I can take my calls and work from where they are. I only book when I’m fully available, so if I’m on the calendar, I’m present. I come to your pet so they stay in their own home, in their own routine, with their own familiar space. You’ll get updates and photos so you always know how things are going.

About: I have experience taking care of puppies, raising and training two dogs with my mom. I co-cared for a cat for two years and currently provide assistance for my neighbors large dog, giving walks, feeding and having play dates. For the past two years I have cat-sit my partners cat for weeks at a time, and have provided cat sitting to friends pets occasionally. I value paying careful attention to the needs of our furry friends, and prioritize safety and building trust when getting to know new pets. I have experience dealing with aggressive pets and respect the boundaries and comfort of animals, and I love to cuddle up with and show love to pets when comfortable! I currently work at a cat cafe where I get to greet and check-in pet lovers and new cat parents, and be a part of our cats finding safe and loving homes. I currently work part time and have plenty of availability during weekdays and weekends to care for pets! My schedule is flexible and I am available to travel to both east bay and San Francisco. I am also available during the days I work to provide walks, potty breaks and feeding. I prioritize building trust and getting to know your pets boundaries and comfort levels when pet-sitting. I am attentive to the safety of pets as well as being respectful to your and their space. I am comfortable with both high and low energy levels and can provide attention and play time depending on your pets needs and likes.
“Hollie did a great job walking Lyla and Daniel. They can be a handful (especially Lyla), and Hollie’s been kind and patient with them. Hollie’s punctual, communicative, and clear with me about what’s happening with the pups! I’m glad that she was able to spend some time with them!”

About: I‘ve rescued, fostered and placed animals from different species in homes since 11 years ago. It all started with my soul dog who made me get into dog training and ethology. More animals came into my life and continued to taught me how to properly take care for disabled and senior animals who had terminal cancer, seizures, and mobility issues. As well as different species of animals that urgently needed veterinary care and new homes like bearded dragons, turtles, rats, chickens, cows and fish. I‘m surrounded by a community of animal rescuers who have taught me a lot on how to help more animals and educate the public about their needs and challenges. It‘s very important for pet parents to leave their animals at the hands of people who understand that these pets are family members and each of them is unique and deserves to be given the best care and life possible. I‘m currently available most days of the week, and trying to get consistent pups that I can take on adventures with others at least twice a week. I‘m also available for boarding and house sitting. I train tuesdays-fridays at night for an hour. I like to do multiple walks and exercise at selected parks around berkeley and oakland. I live in a 1b-1ba apartment with a big cemented balcony in an apartment building. All my windows and balcony door have a screen. My door goes to a carpeted hallway with other apartments so there‘s no possibility of escaping accidents. I also have a 360 camera at my apartment which I use for monitoring.

“Laura came walk with me and my puppy Cooper to meet him for the first time and she was great with him! I have a hard time leaving my puppy behind when I need to be away but I know he will be in good hands with Laura.”

“I adopted my pet Digby less than two months ago, and Nicole's help and guidance has been instrumental in helping me and him work to establish a comfortable routine. She is reliable, responsive, caring and really helpful. I'm sure she's as wonderful with all the other dogs she walks as she is with Digby.”

“Laurel was awesome. She was a real life saver! And wonderful with Indiana. He had a great time and she was very attentive to him. She was also great at asking about me for any information that I hadn’t provided. This made me incredibly comfortable with him inher hands I knew that she was be cautious but she was also attentive and invested in him having fun while I was gone!”

“Robin has been great at communicating quickly, getting to know my doggo, and gaining his trust! He’s a pandemic puppy so isn’t used to a dog walker. I’m so glad she’s been able to get him going as I start to go back to work.”

Lynn was wonderful! Super patient with my energetic small puppy. I appreciated how communicative, reliable and kind she was at all steps of the booking process and walks. I love that she made time for a meet and greet and asked all the right questions about taking care of my pup! Looking forward to booking Lynn again.

Kaya walked our 80lb pittie for 2 weeks while we were on vacation. We appreciated having a walker who could handle a large/strong dog, so my older in-law would not risk getting pulled. She communicated clearly with us while we were away and my in-law reported back that our dog was happy & tired after each walk. Couldn't ask for more.
V was so helpful and responsive. What started as a weekend of dog walks turned into a month of regular dog walks at various times thru the day. V was quick to respond to my inquires and Ernest really seemed to like them. I highly recommend V for big dogs like Ernest (and likely any dog smaller than 90 lbs, which I know is many!). They handled his hesitancies (and mine) well with us scheduling a meet and greet and then treating him well thru all the walks. Thanks V!

Maria Elena is the wonderful! She stepped in to help with daily walks while we were traveling and took amazing care of our pup, keeping us updated the entire time. She is punctual, communicative, and flexible; we feel very lucky to have found her and definitely trust her with our fur baby!

Riley did an excellent job taking my Siberian Husky out for a walk. He was respectful and communicative through the booking process and punctual the day of the walk. For the walk, he asked thoughtful questions about my dog's care, preferences, and more. She came home happy, connected to him, and most importantly, tired. Thank you, Riely! Would and will book him again!

Donovan provided excellent care for my large reactive husky. He is personable, punctual and responsive to messaging. My dog Tiba absolutely loved going on walks/jogs with him. His track and field background is perfect to meet the level of activity my working dog craves. Thanks again for helping me and my dad out while I was away. -Diana

Super responsive and communicative!!! It was our first time having Zorah walk our dog that we just adopted. She was comfortable with the fact that we don’t know the dog that well yet — she was willing to answer all sorts of questions about the dog’s behavior and even problem solve live via text! We spoke on the phone afterwards and she was very honest and clear in her communication. I really trust her to take good care of our new furry family member while we are at work.

Derek established a great rapport with my NOT-easy dog. This was his second visit - we're working up to a longer house sit. Derek asked many thoughtful questions each time to learn about Diego's behavior and knowledge, he observed a lot whlle walking with him and took some videos, and reported back what he experienced. Clearly very dog savvy, careful, caring and responsible with the more challening temperaments in the canine world!

Nicky has been very patient with Milo and Piper. Our fur babies have warmed up to her in record time, which is due to her being a natural and having a wonderful temperament. Nicky has also been very open minded with us scheduling trial runs so that we’re all feeling good about using Nicky’s services.
