“Hollie did a great job walking Lyla and Daniel. They can be a handful (especially Lyla), and Hollie’s been kind and patient with them. Hollie’s punctual, communicative, and clear with me about what’s happening with the pups! I’m glad that she was able to spend some time with them!”

“Shelly did a great job with our needy little princess. Our dog can be shy with new people and get into trouble on walks but she handled it well and was very flexible with schedule changes.”

“Laura has been a terrific dog walker for us and our GSD. She is conscientious and has a calm demeanor that works so well for our furry girl. She always sends a pic during the walk, too. We were especially thankful she was able to respond to a spur-of-the-moment request - again with great generosity of spirit. We are so thankful for finding Laura H. :D”

About: As a lifelong animal lover, I'm here to give you a seamless and easy pet sitting experience, caring for your babies as if they were my own. I've cared for all sorts of dog combinations, from solo to four at a time, healthy to healthyish to in the middle of a ruff time & managing all the special care, vet visits, and medications that come with it. I'm newer to cats, but adept in picking up on their cues and keeping up with all the many details passed along when pet parents put their babies in my care! As far as care & training philosophy, I believe only in a positive reinforcement environment and follow the owner's cues to make sure your babies are as comfortable with me as with you, without adding any confusion! In my professional career, I am a data and details person, skilled in managing spreadsheets and projects with all sorts of details, and I bring that detailed care to everything I do, including monitoring all aspects of your pet(s)' safe and loving care with me 💕 Flexible and adaptable schedule to your needs, as I live by myself and am currently in between jobs focusing on personal entrepreneurial projects. Based in Oakland, I have a car and am frequently traveling around the Bay Area, especially into SF and the Lamorinda area. You are the expert of your space and pets, and I take cues and direction from you to ensure every aspect of your pet(s)' care is accounted for (also have spent the last 7 years working in accounting!). My time with your pet(s) should feel as comfortable as if a trusted family member or friend is watching your babies, with all the extra love and attention you like to provide, including whatever recreation keeps your pet(s) happy. At a baseline, I ensure all the important needs and details are managed as if you were around, with as-frequent updates as you need to feel comfortable and connected while you are away. I'm a skilled communicator and multitasker (taking pics while walking multiple dogs) and happy to provide whatever silly/cute/direct updates of your pet(s)' care work for you.
“Simply put Alexandria is awesome! She was very prompt in replying to my initial inquiry for walks. She was prompt and very personable for “our meet and greet” to go over my pups routine. She also”
About: I’ve cared for dogs ranging in age from young to adult; in size from 15-85lbs; and in energy levels from mellow couch potato to avid fetcher. I currently work part time and love to care for the fur babies. I am available for services on weekdays from 9am-2pm and 6pm-8pm, and flexible on weekends. 🐶 I’ll follow the house rules as closely as possible regarding the feeding, walking, crating, and potty schedules. It’s important to me to know whether your pup is social and friendly, or needs to be a solo act on their own. I have a friendly pup to keep your fur kid company on walks if preferred! 😺 I also proved cat-care. I’ve been living with indoor/outdoor cats alike for the past 16 years and have a kitty myself. I have leash trained my cat and have taught her basic commands like sit, here, up, off. I’m comfortable scooping litter, following feeding and water schedules, administering medications, and clipping claws for the reasonably comfortable kitty. 🪴 I can also support with small tasks like light house cleaning and watering plants if you’re out on a trip or vacation. I’m very plant savvy and can follow any special instructions for your average to exotic plants, and as long as you point me to your cleaning supplies and house care needs, I’ll be good to go.
“Nick was incredible with our little guy. He was also super communicative and flexible, and just an incredible pleasure to work with. We hope he’ll continue to be available to hang with our pup.”

“Anna was pretty calm and relaxed even though our pup has a hard time when first meeting strangers. She bonded with him quickly and seemed pretty comfortable managing his personality. She also provided updates and pictures. Thank you, Anna!”

“Christopher was amazing to work with! He was always professional, and took great care of Gary, even sharing helpful suggestions around his care. He gave a detailed report after each walk, and made little tweaks to the walk routine to optimize it for Gary's needs. It's obvious how much he cares about dogs. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone”

About: 6 years ago I adopted my dog, a 6 year old Jindo straight from the shelters in Korea. The process required a lot of patience care and learning. Years later I fostered a puppy for a local rescue organization, a much more easygoing and happy dog, but he came with the puppy experience. He had to be potty trained , crate trained, and taught how to walk with other dogs. It has shown me that each dog has a unique personality that needs to be tend to. I am currently working part time and have a flexible schedule making it convenient and easy to attend to pets for walks group hikes or check ins. Dogs in my care will be supervised, allowed structured playtime, and go on regular outings and adventures. I am able to work with you the owner to get a grasp of what your dog needs and to make sure they are well taken care of . Options include Group hikes Solo walks Or drop ins or house siting
“Michelle is fabulous with Cami. Cami has been really scared of strangers recently, and Michelle has done amazing trying to get cami to trust her. Highly recommend working with Michelle, especially if you have an angsty dog!”

About: Hey hey!!! I am a longtime animal-lover who grew up & was best friends with a rescued poodle-terrier mix named Lucky for 15 years. Lucky had experienced severe neglect before we adopted him, and I learned very young to be sensitive to his triggers and patient with his trust. I miss him every day! I have also been the parent of many fish and a pet rat, as well as an auntie of an elder cat & 2 kittens. I am also an animal advocate & former dog walking volunteer. As a recent Oakland transplant, I am absolutely loving it here and am hoping to get to know my community (& our pets) better! As a school counseling intern & master’s in social work student, my life is very oriented around care & community. My landlord will not let me own a pet so I am missing animals dearly. It would be a pleasure to help take care of yours<3 I am generally available Friday afternoon through Monday evening, and evenings from Tuesday to Thursday. I try to keep my calendar up to date, but feel free to check in with me about upcoming availability! I love pets of all different needs, capabilities, and energy levels. Whether your pet is very active and requires frequent walking, is more relaxed and enjoys lap-sitting, needs a lot of attention, or prefers some space, I’m here for it! I can take them on walks, give them food or water, & play or chill with them as needed:)

“Laura is very responsive, professional and caring. My dogs absolutely adore her. I feel confident leaving them in her care while away. She also sends detailed updates and great pictures of our dogs. 5/5 stars would recommend!”

Temescal dog parents share their Rover experiences
Shirley is 100% reliable, arrives on time and is able to get my “lazy” bulldog to walk for a full hour. We did a meet & greet prior to my dog’s first walk and I immediately felt comfortable having her come into my place while I was at work. It’s nice to have someone you trust walking my sweet, baby Diesel so that when I come home after a long day, I can relax. Shirley is doing a great job for us and we appreciate her!!

Byung was absolutely wonderful! I hired him to walk my dog Riley at night while I was recovering from a broken leg, and he was consistently reliable and on time every single evening. He even helped with feeding Riley one night when I was out late for work. Riley adored him — he’d light up the moment he arrived. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I’ll definitely reach out to Byung again whenever I need help. Highly recommend!
