About: Hello! My name is Nayeli (Nah-eh-lee) and I’ve recently moved to the Bay Area from Georgia and would love to be your dogs new walker/sitter! I grew up with lots of pets from cats, dogs, fish and even goats. I currently am available for same day bookings and will take care of your dogs with whatever special instructions given if any. I understand that our furry friends are also part of your family and I will treat them as such 😊 if you have any questions or want to reach out for a booking I would love to hear from you! I currently have an open and flexible schedule, so I'm available most days and can often accommodate last-minute requests. I love spending time with animals and would be happy to give your pet the attention and care they need. I know pets are usually most comfortable at home, so I focus on keeping their routine consistent by following all instructions given, making sure they feel safe, and treating your home with care and respect as if it were my own.

About: As a dedicated and compassionate pet caregiver, I go beyond basic care to ensure each dog feels safe, loved, and happy while their owner is away. Above all, I treat every dog like family, providing plenty of affection, regular updates, and ensuring they feel at ease in my care. Pet parents can have peace of mind knowing their furry friends are in responsible and loving hands! I have hands-on experience with senior dogs and understand the extra care they require, whether it’s administering medication, assisting with mobility, or providing a calm and comfortable environment. I’m also comfortable with high-energy dogs and can tailor my care to their needs, whether that’s engaging playtime, long walks, or reinforcing positive behavior. I work remotely so I am flexible and available to play with any pup - I live close to multiple dog parks and have a lake that I can take dogs on walks for One friendly dog in my apartment that loves to play and nap. He is socialized and loves to be with other dogs. Open to taking both to the park for socialization or just a solo trip with your pup.
“Sophie has been amazing with my girl Rosie as she adjusts to city life. She has made a huge impact on keeping her calm and helping keep her active by giving her good exercise and working with to stay calm and focused while encountering squirrels, other dogs and loud noises on their walks. I have noticed such a change due to Sophie's interventions. Sophie is prompt, communicative and kind. A one of a kind! Rosie adores her!”

“Megan was the best! Super flexible and easy. But best of all Wasabi my Frenchie LOVED HER! Walks, play, cookies, repeat! Can’t wait to return to SF and call yo Megan again! 5 stars ++++ Thanks Megan!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for 12+ years. my neighbors, friends, and family have all entrusted me as their official dog and cat sitter because I love them like my own! i’ve been training dogs (unofficially) for a very long time now. i’ve done well as a guiding leader for dogs, with positive reinforcement as i feel it works best. I have experience with more serious problem behaviors but I would want to discuss beforehand what your pet may need from me and if that is something i can effectively offer. the one thing i want to guarantee is that your baby is not only loved and cared for, but also that they are safe and secure in my care and ability! I actively volunteer and foster for Oakland Animal Services for both their dog and cat programs and I feel more than equipt to support your own loved dog or cat. i believe providing in-home care allows your pet to feel truly comfortable in their own home environment. so for in home care i simply do my best to make sure all dogs and cats in my care are given the attention they desire and deserve! this is up to them (and you) of course whether it’s active walks, high engaged excessive, or simply lounging together. I reside in an apartment with my cat who is dog and cat friendly. if a small space such as an apartment isn’t the best for your fur baby, i am happy to babysit in your own home or (for dogs) take them for many walks, field trips, and parks. i am very flexible when it comes to this so it is truly up to you and your comfortability.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Oakland
Sara is so awesome! My anxious dog usually takes a few times meeting with someone to feel aquatinted, but my pup felt comfortable the first walk with Sara. He now is so excited to see her and spend time during walks. I feel great knowing she understands his needs and I am very grateful to have found her. 10/10

So impressed with Sara - she was able to walk my dog after a friend (with whom he was staying for a week) got last minute plans the last day and wasn't able to watch him. Not only was she punctual and great with my dog (they had never even met - I had to leave town quickly) but she took him to hike the trails and I KNOW he was thrilled about that. Makes me want to be a better dog parent. Thank you, Sara! Would highly recommend and will book again.

I can’t recommend Karly enough. She is quick to respond, always on time, and my pup loves walking with her! She has even been able to accommodate last minute requests on such a short notice. I can relax a bit at work knowing my pup is in good hands when she is scheduled to walk with Karly.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
