I'm currently working on a contract basis and primarily remote so I have time to stop by your home or house-sit as long as there is reliable Wi-Fi. Typically, when pet-sitting for friends, I will feed, walk, or change out litter boxes as often as needed. If I am not staying at the owner's home full-time, I will make sure the animal gets sufficient interaction and love daily. If an animal is staying in my home during the day, I have a fenced-in, locked yard (though I generally wouldn't have an animal outside without me) and there is also a dog-friendly park less than two blocks from my home.

About: I love animals and have been around fur pets since I was a child. I have experience with big dogs, puppies, senior dogs, and kittens. My previous neighbor used to foster kittens while I dog sat for my friends, family, landlords, neighbors, etc. Dogs and cats are my therapy and love some cuddles and jogs. I have my own 7 month old female puppy who absolutely loves all dogs. She’s shy towards people but dogs are her favorite. I have a hybrid schedule with flexibility during the week and weekends. I’m flexible and open to sitting, walking, runs, or just check-in’s. I’m typically busiest on Tuesdays and likely only available in the late afternoon. We love communication so I’m always happy to send updates and have experience with dogs who need extra attention and/or healing pets. For my puppies/kittens they’re learning so a little patience and attention to fostering their schedule/training is important. In the last decade, I have been the go to person in my community to dog sit and walk dogs due to my flexible performer and chef schedule, and in the last couple of years, I have also supported some of my loved ones senior dogs who have since transitioned. About: I've grown up with big dogs and am now a dog and cat mom. Before my dog I boarded friends' dogs with me, watching them while they were away. My big dog is from the shelter and is fearful, so I have experience with shy shelter dogs, training, and managing their triggers. I also walk others' dogs. My schedule is flexible and is different depending on the day of the week. Communication is key , but I will try to make things work. At clients' homes I will follow their instructions and communicate any questions. I make sure the doors are locked when I leave, and try to be careful entering so animals don't potentially run away. Depending on instructions or pet temperaments, I will observe and work with them for enrichment and socialization needs. I make sure there is enough water in the bowls and feed as needed. For cats, I clean the litterboxes. They will not be in my home since I have pets.

About: My family’s had 2 Havanese dogs a little over 3 years now and I take care of them regularly when they go out for the night or leave town. In addition I occasionally sit for family friends who have a Yorkie and used to watch a neighbor’s cat when she was still with us. Most animals find me agreeable and I try to be consistent and loving with any younger ones so that they’re shaped into the best possible pets. I’ve recently left my long-term job to focus on watching/walking pets. I do some gig work to make ends meet but my main passion right now is animal care. I have a spacious loft apartment in Chinatown Oakland in a very safe neighborhood just a few minutes walk from Lake Merritt. Crating (with one provided for me) in the apartment is an option as well as my sectional couch or rug depending on your animal’s preferences.

About: I have work with dogs my entire life, but currently I run a small dog daycare/boarding facility at my home with my husband so our sole focus is caring for our pups and we will happily give your pup all our love and attention! I’m responsible, respectful and very organized which allows us to run a safe and stable home environment for each one of our dogs. I’m available daily for dog walks, daycare and/or boarding. My current small daycare group is about 3-5 regular dogs that come on different weekdays. I’m a firm believer in clear, calm communication with any dog that I am working with and I only use positive reinforcement. My yard and entire property is fully fenced with a 6ft wood privacy fence and there is an extra gate between the front and back yards for extra safety. I’m available pretty much anytime for dog walk or boarding and I currently run a small group dog daycare in my home with my partner between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday. My current group of regulars (that come varying weekdays) includes extremely well socialized dogs of all sizes most of which are between 3 and 6 years old. It’s a great environment for a dog to build social skills and confidence in a calm, well adjusted pack. I live in West Oakland (very close to the Bart station!) and my home and yard are very secure with a 6ft tall redwood fence surrounding the entire property. My yard is pretty large and great for off leash fun as it’s completely safe and secure. I live only with my husband and our two very friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who loves every dog they has ever met. Oliver even has a way of making dogs that are usually not dog friendly play as if they were a puppy - it seems to be his super power! While Opal is just a love who is always ready for fun in the yard or cuddles on the couch.

I help groom, make sure my dogs are energized and have fun with them on walks. I have experiences volunteering at a poodle shelter called NorCal Poodles for three years where i medicated, walked and comforted the fostered poodles who have been left behind or given up by the owners. I’ve medicated, helped clean and feed the dogs a well. I’m currently a part-time student (will be ending my semester in May) and a soon part-timer worker. I have flexible time to schedule in walks and make your dog is given attention as well. I want to make sure your dog is comfortable and good with being on leash for walks.
