âEsteban is the best! I was very afraid I would not find anyone to walk Piper as she is strong and slightly dog selective. Also certain dog folks do not want to walk her with a muzzle which is confusing to me, he has no issues with it. Esteban came for a meet and greet and it was a great fit! Piper has come home happy and exhausted! Canât wait to grow our relationship with him! Heâs the best!â

About: ***IMMEDIATE JACK LONDON SQ ONLY FOR WALKS/DROP-INS PLEASE *** Trust is everything, especially when it comes to caring for our pups! I believe ALL dogs are stars with their own unique "genre" (Punk, EDM, R&B, Rock, Pop, easy listening) and let's face it, this is how they crack us up on a daily basis! I believe positive reinforcement, but also Cesar's Way (exercise, discipline, affection) and include lots of playfulness in the process (solo or with my pup - your preference). I enjoy assisting in ongoing training (how to improve walking on a leash, how to look good for their "Dogs playing poker" portrait, etc) while in my care. Whether it be for a brief stay or a brisk walk (A tired dog is a happy dog!) I can't wait to meet your fluffy family member and help ease your mind while you are away from them. I have worked with dogs that may be fearful or have anxiety (many often confuse with being "aggressive" when this is not the case). Being attentive on our walks at all times is paramount...I'm not one who focuses on looking at my phone constantly (unless I'm taking pics of our walk to send to you!) while letting your pup pick up or eat something they shouldn't. Many thanks! I currently work from home and have flexibility to work with local dogs for walks/drop-ins in the Jack London Square area and boarding (near or far). I have a large fenced patio and is easy to monitor the fur monsters if they want to enjoy the outdoors a bit during their day.
âJay is the best with my two pups! super accommodating with my odd schedule, communicative and gets the best photos of them having a good time. Having jay has been a life saver for when I have to be in the office!â

About: Growing up in a family that always had dogs, Iâve spent over seven years caring for pets of all ages and personalities. I raised my own corgi from puppyhood, which gave me a solid foundation in training, grooming, and understanding canine behavior. Over time, Iâve also cared for senior dogs who required medication, gentle exercise, and extra patience, as well as energetic puppies who needed structured play and consistent guidance. Clients often describe me as reliable, communicative, and attentive to every petâs comfort. I regularly provide updates with photos and videos to help owners feel connected while theyâre away. Iâm also experienced with multi-pet households, including both dogs and cats, and I take pride in maintaining a calm and caring environment for all animals under my care. As a remote work with a flexible schedule, I'm available consistently on weekends and most weekday afternoons. I carefully plan my pet care commitments around my classes to ensure dedicated, unrushed time with each pet. I can provide morning walks, midday check-ins, and extended playtime sessions, always prioritizing the pets' routines and needs. I prioritize creating a safe and comfortable environment for every pet in my care. When visiting clients' homes, I follow their specific care instructions meticulously and maintain regular updates through photos and messages. I ensure all doors are secured, maintain a clean environment, and keep pets on their regular feeding and exercise schedules. I also have pet first-aid knowledge for added peace of mind.

âJazminn is excellent! She is very thorough and communicative, and my pup loves spending time with her. My dog has some behavioral quirks and sheâs been very helpful with tips/advice on how to work through them. Your pets will be in great hands with Jazminn!â

âChristine is detail-oriented and incredibly caring in her approach! She was communicative throughout, asked good questions as needed, and took extra care to ensure my dog Ellie trusted her and had a good time. An excellent helping hand!â

About: I grew up with a golden retriever that I begged my parents for. The deal was that I needed to read 3 books on dog training and behavior, which I knocked out promptly within a few week! I was the primary caretaker of Mikey, from being a puppy, to middle aged with some health problems, and into his senior years. Following Mikey crossing the rainbow, I adopted a kitten, Phoebe, who is now 6 years old. I recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Neurobiology! Iâm in the process for applying for roles in my field and grad school so my schedule is quite flexible at the moment. I keep a close eye on my own pets, and will do the same with yours! I have a 10 year old golden lab and 8 year old cat. My dog, Adobe, is a retired explosives canine and I take care of his grooming, diet, dental, and exercise needs daily. The same applies to my cat, Phoebe! Ultimately, I hope that your pets as well as my own go on to live a happy, healthy, and long life, and so letâs work together to accomplish that!
âAnanda was amazing - she was really helpful coordinating dates/times, she stopped by early to meet my dog, and she was lovely about keeping me updated with everything! I think sheâd be a great sitter or walker that Iâd recommend to anyoneâ

âMaia was great! Very friendly and you can tell she loves animals. She went out of her way to make sure my often anxious dog felt comfortable around her. Recommend.â

About: I've taken care of dogs ever since I was little! My family had three dogsâa beagle and two German Short Hair pointersâthat I walked, fed, groomed, and helped train. We took them on lot's of long hikes and played around in the backyard with their favorite toys. I've learned to manage high energy and always provide lots of attention. I have experience with puppies as well. I got my first when I was 8 years old, and was tasked with raising him. This meant proper training, walking, playtime, feeding, grooming and more. Since then, I've been a pet parent to two more lovely beagles (training, walking, feeding, etc.) and 3 wonderful indoor cats, sweet little maniacs who love sunbathing and playing. I'm currently working on a part-time basis and have additional time in the day to take care of pets! I can take dogs on walks (short or long), drop by to spend time with them and feed them, and whatever else might be needed to make sure you're pet is getting what the care it needs. My apartment is calm and cozy. Although I don't have a backyard, it's located nearby Lake Merritt and dog-friendly parks/places to run around. I have access to a car on occasion, and when this is the case, I'm happy to take your dogs to the regional parks in Oakland or Berkeley.

Iâm comfortable with high-energy puppies, gentle with seniors, and attentive to each petâs unique needs. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and happy while keeping owners updated for peace of mind. Iâm currently working from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets. Iâm available for boarding on weekends, and for drop-ins, walks, or playtime on weekdays. With this open schedule, I can give your pets the time, energy, and attention they deserve without rushing. I provide a safe and loving care with a fenced yard and two friendly dogs who love making new friends.. My priority is building trust with both pets and owners , keeping pets comfortable, secure, and cared for like they are my own.
âSofia is the absolute best! She is so helpful, communicative, caring, kind, and accommodating. Not only does she care about your pup, she cares about you & that you feel comfortable as well. Such a great human and my favorite dog walker / friend to Forrest. 10/10 recommend!â

âDespite me making an appointment with very short notice, Mamoo was super responsive and suggested doing a meet & greet the same night I made the booking, to be ready for the walk the next morning. When they met, my dog, Hanoi, was pretty nervous, barking defensively for some reason, but Mamoo handled it to perfection, allowing Hanoi to control the interaction, without Mamoo losing the role of authority. Thanks for your dedication to making it work, even when Hanoi didnât make it easy. 100% recommend.â

âTalissa is a great dog walker! Walking my Koa for the past month or so for a couple of days a week and Koa loves going on walks with her. I couldnât have asked for a better person so caring and timely. Communication is absolutely amazing and I love the daily updates. Definitely recommended!â

Lakewide dog parents share their Rover experiences
I am very happy to have found Chloe on Rover. She's a super nice person, and my dog, Raffi, is in love with her. She's helped me out for 2 weeks, and she's been on time every day, gives good long walks, and always gives me a heads up when she's on her way. She's also flexible when I had to make some last minute changes in schedule. I highly recommend her for your dog walking needs. MY dog will miss her!
Laura is awesome! She pays close attention to our reactive pup's cues and works to stay within her comfort zone to have a successful walk. Laura also has super communication, sending detailed updates and walk reports. We're so grateful for her reliable care!

My favorite walker. Has come through for us time and time again. Even after long hiatuses of using Rover, weâve been able to reach out to Jesse and get a timely response. And even if not available when we ask last second sometimes, he is responsible/reliable and we are usually able to work out future dates. Highly recommend.
