I hope you consider me for your dog (and cat!) needs :) I work from home so I am available with much flexibility to take care of your pet! About: I’ve been caring for dogs since 2015, starting while I was in school and continuing over the years by helping friends and their pets with everything from daily walks to longer stays. A big part of my experience comes from caring for my own two dogs. One is very anxious and requires a calm, patient approach to build trust, and the other has occasional seizures and takes medication three times a day. Because of this, I’m very comfortable administering medication, following structured routines, and staying attentive to any changes in behavior. I’m especially mindful with sensitive or nervous dogs, and I take the time to make them feel safe at their own pace. I live near several parks and also have access to a private dog park in my building, so your dog will have safe, comfortable options for outdoor time. I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel secure, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away. I’m reliable, communicative, and always happy to send updates so you can feel at ease. I work from home, so I’m able to give dogs plenty of attention throughout the day. I take my own dogs out at least 4 times daily, plus one longer walk, and I’d include your dog in that same routine. Because I’m home most of the time, your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will get consistent care, playtime, and companionship. I provide a calm, safe, and structured environment tailored to each dog’s needs. I’m experienced with anxious dogs and comfortable administering medication and following specific routines. At home, I ensure slow, supervised introductions with my dogs and offer access to nearby parks and a private dog park in my building. Dogs are never left alone for long and get regular walks, attention, and rest. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely to maintain your dog’s routine and provide regular updates.

I’ll treat your dog like family and keep you updated with plenty of photos and videos while you’re away. I’m currently unemployed so I have a super open availability. Free weekdays and weekends. Am-pm. I don’t have kids so no other commitment right now 🐾 I will follow all rules you make. I’m hyper vigilant to the dogs I watch and the environment they are in. Every dog and dog owner is different and I can meet you and your dogs needs
“We were so thankful to have Genna's help last minute when we needed it. She was super at communicating with us. Pups were so happy to have her hang out and walk with them. We feel so lucky to have found her. Highly recommend and will be reaching out for help again. Thanks Genna!”

“Andre is an incredibly communicative and trustworthy dog walker. Although I only booked him for a short-term gig, he took the time to meet up and get to know my dog beforehand which was very much appreciated! I would highly recommend Andre and will absolutely request his services again in the future!”

I work full time Monday through Friday as a communications manager in transportation planning. I’m in the office two days a week and live within walking distance from my office so am able to go home easily to take my dog out mid day. About: I have been lucky enough to grow up with a family that loved animals and a household full of pets. We had chicken running around our backyard, ducks and quail. We had a cat, Named Kat, who was afraid of the chicken. Somehow always had a pair of parakeets that had the same names, Jasmine & Lightning (don’t ask!). My grandparents had a little farm , so every summer when we would visit, we would drive to the country side and spend a few days there. In June of 2021, I was blessed with 2 beautiful daughters; My cats Penny & Wini who are the actual loves of my life (My husband knows and understands) and they are the most amazing, most perfect thing that ever happened to me. Please do not hesitate to contact me anytime with any questions and I like to try to respond almost as soon as possible if not immediately Looking forward to make even more furry friends in this beautiful city! If you wish to expedite the booking process, please include the following in your message: 1) Location 2) Normal walking/feeding/play routine (length, time of day, etc) 3) Medical/special needs 4) Any aggression issues towards certain people/animals 5) Any additional info I look forward to meeting your furry friends! *Overnight Pricing: For overnight stays, the listed price includes a morning/early evening walk and a potty break before bed (and, of course, snuggles and attention while I am staying inside a home). Any additional walks/special needs may incur an additional charge. **Camera Policy: I had an experience where a client did not inform me of a camera hidden in their bedroom and I was recorded in various states of undress during a stay. As such, in order to protect my privacy, I reserve the right to disable any undisclosed cameras and, in extreme cases, cancel a stay. Please feel free to let me know if any clarification is needed regarding this policy. I’m currently wfh part-time and on summer break from school. My schedule is pretty flexible and I’m able to spend a lot of time with the pets and not be away for more than a few hours if need be. I Follow exact care instructions and all boundaries. I keep pets on the same schedule and routine so they dont go through more change than needed.
About: I have experience taking care of dogs since I was 10. I have owned 2 dogs in the past (male and female) and have experience training them to sit, paw, etc. Love playing with them to make sure they get enough enrichment and taking them on walks! I am a musician, so my schedule varies, but I perform and teach private lessons to students during the week, and also perform on some weekends, so we could work something out depending on your needs! With my experience caring for dogs it was at home with a fenced/gated backyard and with constant supervision! Taking them outside every couple of hours for potty breaks is essential and monitoring their food and water intake to make sure they are happy and healthy is vital!
About: I'm the biggest dog lover! I grew up with 1-2 dogs always living in my family household, and cats during one stretch of time as well! The world just wouldn't be the same without our furry family members ❤️. I have an innate ability to get along with any kind of pet. I hope to make friends with yours! I'm self-employed and work remotely, requiring only my laptop. So my schedule is super flexible and I can take potty breaks and go on long walks during any time of day. I'm available both weekdays and weekends. I love spending time with animals so I'll definitely be giving your pets a lot of attention :). Dog walking is my favorite pastime, and if your dog is up for it, I love long walks, park & beach visits, and playing fetch.

We asked Lauryn to pop in and take our 2 dogs for a walk a few days this week. She came over for a meet and great which we appreciated. The dogs enjoyed their walks, she was patient with our nervous dog and always on time. Look forward to many more walks. Thanks Lauryn.

Kaitlin is so understanding with Hayleigh and dogs who need a little extra. Hayleigh has a slight bulging disc and nerve pain in her hind legs, so some days she can walk at a more normal pace and some days she really can’t—and the walk has to happen at her pace, not ours. Kaitlin’s been patient and willing to learn to read her. She lets her set the pace off-leash and walk/wander in the safer park areas, turns back when Hayleigh wants to, and will just sit in the park with her when a break is needed. She also tells me what she’s seeing, which matters so much with a dog who can’t communicate it to us. The hard part of this whole healing journey personally has been watching Hayleigh still have all her energy and social needs Kaitlin is so understanding with Hayleigh and dogs who need a little extra. Excellent!! Lala has been great working with our dog Lucy who is having some recent anxiety problems with fireworks after the 4th. She has been super patient and sends us updates and texts throughout her walks. Also, giving us instructions on some acclamation training to help Lucy with her fear of loud noises. Will totally book again for regular walks!

Claire made plans a month in advance to meet with me and my 2 dogs prior to dog/house sitting. She walked with my dogs yesterday and will do so again today. She sent lots of cute photos! We’re lucky to have found Claire, as she is trustworthy, amazing with dogs, and reliable and kind!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Joey has been absolutely incredible. From day one, he has been patient, kind, dependable, and genuinely caring with my Great Dane, Zeus. He took the time to earn Zeus's trust instead of rushing the process, and it has been amazing to watch their bond grow. Joey is professional, communicative, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. He treats Zeus like one of his own and always goes the extra mile to make sure he's happy, safe, and well cared for. It's obvious that Joey understands dogs and knows how to work with them in a calm, confident, and compassionate way. Having someone you can completely trust with your dog is priceless, and I couldn't recommend Joey more highly. If you're looking for someone who is reliable, attentive, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about what they do, Joey is the person you want. Five stars without hesitation!

James is an excellent dog walker for our dog, Dory! Dory can be a little shy and wary of strangers, but she really warmed up to James within a pretty short time period. We attribute it to James’ easygoing nature and positive energy. He is incredibly responsive, provides very thoughtful updates, sends many photos of our sweet pup, and always keeps us informed. We are grateful for James and appreciate that he treats our Dory girl with love, kindness, and patience. She seems to enjoy her walking adventures with him! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a dog walker they can trust!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
