“Shailyng is the best! She treats my pup like her own and takes such good care of her. She is so communicative and always sends tons of pictures and videos and is amazing with responding to my last minute requests. I know my pup is in good hands with her.”

“Anna showed up for me in a pinch— I needed help amidst unpacking from a move while my puppy showed signs of needing a little more help adjusting. She walked my young one and brought him back happy as can be! Anna is super professional and polite to work with, I couldn't ask for better communication. Thank you Anna!”

“Chenyang is excellent with our dog! She stays tuned into him, matching his pace and helping him enjoy his walks despite his health challenges. We rest easy knowing our pup is in good hands!”

About: I have taken care of a wide variety of animals since I was a child, especially dogs. As an adult I have loved and cared for many of my own dogs. I was professionally trained by the largest dog training company in the world to ensure my dogs were safe, and healthy both physically and mentally. I currently work part time as a surgical technologist and would love to help you with anything you and your baby need. I take my pup Jesse to the dog park every day and we just love it! I have a tall fence around my yard , a cozy crate in my home, dog beds, toy box, and a dog house in the backyard. Your pup will always be supervised when in ny home. And Jesse is super friendly and eager to welcome.
“James was so thoughtful, loving, and attentive to both the dog needs and the neurotic dog mom needs! He had two dogs to walk and took the best care of our little crew. We could tell from the pics that the dogs were so happy, and he sent us updates and pics along the walk. We recommend James 1000000%. Thank you!”

“Always incredibly responsible and amazing with my animals. I used her years ago with my senior animal in his last two months. And now she gets to be a part of the new members of the family. Always so awesome to have a long term relationship with someone you can rely on!”

“Wow!! we've never had a walker like Crystal before! She and Luna immediately fell in love, and Crystal doted on her on every walk. She even made Luna a birthday cake biscuit ( after asking us first). At the same time, she was incredibly punctual and great at communication. She's great!”

About: I’ve been helping to care for our family’s cats (feeding and litter boxes) from a very young age. I also have quite a bit of experience pet-sitting and have stayed overnight to care for friends’ pets. I will often take family or friends’ pets for walks while visiting, just because I enjoy being around animals. I am very diligent and will maintain any schedule or special instructions you might have. I do work full time from 8-4:30, Monday through Friday, but I am available in the evenings and on weekends. I do some tutoring after work but will be able to incorporate pet care into my schedule. I live in an apartment, but we do have a fenced in dog park and there are several large parks nearby. I do have a cat and dog (who are rather spoiled), but they are both quite friendly and ready to keep your pet company. My apartment is a decent size, and I strive to take my dog (a senior mini pinscher) out at least four times per day.

“Cheryll is awesome. She truly cares about the dogs she walks. She gave my pups a great walk and was very responsive and followed my instructions perfectly. I will definitely use her again as a dog walker, and would highly recommend her to any dog parents out there.”

About: Hi! My name is Blessy, and I’ve always had a love for animals. As a cat owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your pets while you’re away. I’m patient, responsible, and dedicated to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs, including feeding, walks, playtime, cleaning up after pets, administering basic medications, and following specific care instructions. I treat every pet as if they were my own and am happy to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, young, or senior, I’m committed to providing personalized care and attention. I currently work part time, which allows me flexibility to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. I am available for drop in visits, walks, and pet sitting before and after work, as well as on many weekends. I understand the importance of maintaining your pet’s routine and will always do my best to accommodate their schedule and needs. I provide updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special care requests. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality and boundaries to help them feel comfortable and secure. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important trust is, and I will treat your home and pets with the same care and respect I would expect for my own. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I’ve been around dogs pretty much my whole life, whether it was my standard poodle as a young kid, my mini poodle as a teenager or, more recently, the senior dogs I’ve fostered or adopted from Muttville. Dogs have always been in good hands with me. Right now my wife and I have two dachshund chihuahua mixes we adopted at five and six. Our home is a dog home. They’re on the couch, on the bed and even under the covers (if they want to burrow). They’re in the mix and they’re loved. If your dog has medications, I’ve got it. If they have special needs or they’re older and need a slower pace, I have ample experience with that. I’m currently dedicating my time to taking care of pups, so your pup will have my undivided attention throughout the days and evenings. The max amount of time I’d leave your dog alone would be for four hours. I have two dogs of my own that I would keep separate from your dog to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. I have a fully fenced backyard with a couple of stairs. I also have pet stairs inside to help senior dogs get up on to the couch and bed
“Lisa has been so patient and gentle with my dog! She sends me multiple pictures and you can tell my dog is getting comfortable with her (which says a lot, my dog is very shy!!)”

“Seng was awesome! She made time for a meet and greet and few days before our walks were scheduled to begin and asked all of the important questions to understand how to best care for our dog. She's very kind, upbeat and clearly loves pets. Our dog can be a weirdo with people sometimes but he very clearly loves Seng and she loves him too. She was great about sending photos and keeping us updated with each walk. I would highly recommend Seng to walk your dog!!”

About: I've had dogs my whole life — that's 29 years of hands-on experience caring for them at every stage. Growing up around both working and non-working dogs gave me a well-rounded understanding of different breeds, temperaments, and needs. I currently have a dog of my own, so your pup will always be in the care of someone who genuinely lives and breathes this. As an added bonus, my sister is a veterinarian — so I bring not just personal experience, but a household full of professional-level knowledge when it comes to your pet's health and wellbeing. I work from home on weekdays, which means your pet is never far from someone who cares. I'm available for drop-in visits throughout the day as long as I can bring my laptop, and I'm free for walks Monday through Friday from 2:30–7pm. Weekends are more flexible, and I'm happy to house sit with advance notice. Having a work-from-home setup is honestly a perk for the pets I care for - there's always a calm, present person nearby. I'm no stranger to multi-dog households as I live with my own dog alongside my family's two dogs, so I'm comfortable managing the dynamics that come with multiple pets under one roof. I have hands-on experience with crate training and potty training, and I've cared for dogs in all kinds of setups: yards, apartments, you name it. For house sitting and drop-in visits, I actually prefer caring for dogs in their own environment as familiar surroundings mean less stress for your pet, and I'm there to keep their routine as normal as possible. It's the setup where I do my best work.
“This is a long overdue review, but Maria is literally the best!! She’s been taking care of my dog Rado since January of this year, and she is so incredibly kind, reliable, patient, and amazing with Rado. Rado is on the more nervous and reactive spectrum, as he is a rescue from another country. Maria is able to work with his anxiety and stubbornness despite it all. If you are looking for someone to help take care of your fur baby, cannot emphasize Maria enough. She’s truly amazing! I cannot thank you enough!!”

I’m home most of the day, so I can closely monitor pets, stick to their routines, and provide plenty of companionship, playtime, walks, and individualized care. Making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved is a top priority for me. In my client’s home, I focus on maintaining the pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. “My dog Ozzy is a senior dog that requires specific care and Shao made sure to accommodate perfectly! Ozzy gets little panic attacks when alone for too long sometimes and at times requires medication. She used her intuition and gave him his anxiety pill because she felt that he had asthma like symptoms and was restless. When I came home he was and snoring away peacefully. She fed, walked, and made sure to even put his shoes on for the rain even though it’s a bit tricky to figure out how to put them on! I look forward to having her take care of Ozzy again in the future, def recommend if you have a senior dog or any dog for that matter! 10/10.”

Cameron has been great with taking care of Loki. He always keeps me updated on his schedule before coming over for walks and is consistently on top of communication, which I really appreciate. We’re so glad we found someone who is not only nearby, but also responsible and reliable!

I couldn’t be happier with the care and attention Jamie gives to Ellie. It’s is clear she loves animals and treats Ellie like her own! I love the photo updates and appreciate her reliability and flexibility. If you’re looking for someone kind and trustworthy to care for your animals I recommend Jamie.

Guidi is so patient and trustworthy. I have a 17yr old shi tzu Maltese (Ozzy) who needs very delicate care and has especially significant needs. Guidi was able to adapt and accommodate immediately. This was her first time meeting Ozzy and she was able to care for him and provide all his needs (short walk plus fed and meds) he looked very happy and peaceful when I got home. I definitely recommend to anyone w a senior pet or pet family member in general! 5 stars through and through!

I needed dogwalking for my high-energy, slightly neurotic 11 yo Border Collie Sophie and was SO nervous because I hadn't ever gotten a walker before - Sophie is a bit "special handling" as all border collie owners will understand, so I just managed on my own/with occasional help from friends and family who knew my dog very well. However, I was in a last-minute pinch for a work trip and found Christal (who responded immediately with about a day of headsup, and happily discussed all of Sophie's behaviors/needs ahead of time) and all I can say is her reviews speak for itself! She was just the right fit for my lovely but weird sweet crazy border collie. I got nonstop photos and videos every single walk. Also I just can tell Christal honestly loves each and every dog she works with, it was obvious from her updates and videos. I felt so assured and absolutely am a convert - will be using her (and rover) regularly now for extra help when I need it :)

Kelly is wonderful! She helps with walking and feeding our dog. We have booked with her on more than one occasion and we are always happy with the experience. We have aLeo asked her to help with providing medication and specific feeding directions, and she has handled it with no issues. Kelly is very communicative and seems to enjoy looking after our boy. Highly recommend you book with her next time you need help with your pet. Thanks Kelly!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
