About: I've been pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors since I was 10 years old and have experience caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I'm also a Registered Veterinary Technician with over six years of experience in veterinary medicine. My background allows me to confidently care for senior pets, puppies and kittens, administer medications, recognize changes in a pet's health or behavior, and provide compassionate, low-stress care. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and well cared for while giving owners peace of mind. Pet care is something I truly enjoy and intentionally make time for in my daily routine. As a full-time student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide pets with the attention, exercise, playtime, and companionship they deserve. Whether it's sticking to their normal routine, giving medications, or simply spending quality time with them, I'm committed to making them feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. When caring for pets in your home, I do my best to keep their routine as consistent as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. I'll follow your instructions closely regarding feeding, walks, medications, and any special needs. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, I'm trained to recognize changes in a pet's health or behavior and will keep you updated if I have any concerns. I treat every home with respect, keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as I found it, while making sure your pets receive the same love and attention I would give my own.
“Cocoa seemed very happy and in good spirits after Leslie stayed with her, so I would definitely hire her again. She gave frequent updates and kept the house very neat too.”

“Marshai always does such an awesome job with my boy, Charlie. He’s so relaxed with her (which makes me relaxed), he doesn’t even notice me leaving! 100% as always, thank you!!”

“Brianna watched our two dogs Riley and Charlie for 7 days while we were out if town. She was an excellent communicator. As one of our dogs Riley started experiencing stomach bowel issues. She was awesome at handling the situation and made us feel reassured. She sent us pictures, videos and updates frequently. We would definitely recommend Brianne and we plan to book with her for future travels.”

About: I grew up with a rescue pit bull and three rescue cats, which taught me early on how to provide gentle and compassionate care. In addition to that I've been doing professional animal visits for the last 4 years across multiple platforms, and have been loving the opportunity to meet all of these wonderful animals and families. I personally do very well with anxious or reactive animals, which need a more gentle presence around them. If your pet has any special needs, medications, or health concerns, I’m more than happy to discuss them with you. I’ll always take the time to learn what needs to be done and follow your preferred approach to ensure your pet’s comfort and safety. I am committed to providing a loving home and continuing any training or scheduling already established. My goal is to make you and your pets experience as seamless as possible! This upcoming semester, Fall 2026, I currently have two openings for a weekly walker or drop-in visit routine, I'm available Monday-Wednesday 9:30am-11am, and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons between 4:00pm-6:00pm. I will also be available for drop-in visits or as needed walks, so please feel free to reach out. I will also be available for drop-in visits or as needed walks, so please feel free to reach out. I work from home in the Mission/Excelsior region, and go to school at CCSF, so I have a fairly flexible weekday schedule outside of Wednesdays and can often accommodate short-notice bookings. However, since I rely on public transit, I’m currently limiting services to locations within about a 30-minute bus ride from Balboa Park. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it my priority to respect both the pet’s routine and the home itself. I aim to create a calm, comforting environment that helps your pet feel safe and cared for while you're away. I always follow the care instructions you provide closely, whether it’s feeding schedules, medication, walks, or playtime routines. Above all, I treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I’d want for my own.
“We cannot thank Katrina enough for taking such good care of our two dogs. We hired Katrina for pet/house sitting. As any pet parent knows, it is stressful to leave your fur babies behind while on vacation but Katrina eased that stress by sending daily updates, complete with photos to let us know how our dogs were doing. She took them on long walks and sent photos while on the walks. (The dogs looked very happy.) She also took good care of the house. We will definitely reach out to her again and highly recommend her.”

“Adriana was a perfect match for our dog. It’s evident that she is experienced and knowledgeable in the care taking . Adriana was able to meet “Ladie’s” needs with her diet, walks and medication administration. The communication with us was superb, from texting, pictures and phone calls. It was a great feeling for us to know how well our dog was doing and how happy she was, this gave us a great relief. Adriana is a wonderful dog care taker and would love to use her services in the future when needed. We highly recommend Adriana 👍👍👍”

“Perry was wonderful again with our dog, Roan, today! He sent tons of pictures throughout the day, got Roan out on several walks and clearly cares a ton about the happiness and comfort of the pups he is caring for. Can't wait to have Perry back again soon and would recommend him to anyone in need of care for their pups! He is terrific!”

“Shai is the BEST!! Truly the best Rover we have ever had. My dog takes awhile to warm up to people generally but loved her the moment he saw her and CRIES when she leaves the house (which he doesn’t even do for us!!). We are so grateful we found her!”

“Seng is amazing. Ruby took to her immediately. Seng took great care of her, took her on long walks by the ocean, and gave us plenty of great photos. Honestly, I think Ruby will now be looking forward to when we go on vacation. Highly recommended.”

“Loretta was lovely and especially lovely with Louisa. We felt very comfortable with leaving our old girl with her for the first time and am sure there will be many more. Thanks Loretta!”

About: I have worked with kids so I am used to being calm, patient and new or challenging environments that necessitates extra care and attention towards your pets. I am a college student and my work schedule is from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. I have class every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6pm to 10pm. I’m available weekends and Friday night. I do not have any pets at the moment so my house is very clean and your pets would get my full attention. I have a decently sized yard for any outdoor time. I have a bed and toys to keep your pets entertained. My neighborhood is quiet and safe with minimal traffic, perfect for long or short walks.
“Mystic was wonderful! All of my (detailed) instructions were read ahead of our meet and greet, giving me confidence that my pup would have a great stay. During the stay, I received regular updates and pic/videos to let me know how she was doing. Mystic was incredibly flexible with both drop off and pickup and worked with me when my plane was delayed by several hours. When I came home, I could tell my pup was happy and well cared for.”

“Stephanie was very responsive and overall great to work with. She was patient and kind with my dogs and they warmed up to her very quickly. She took great care of them and sent lots of cute photos while we were away to let us know they were doing well!”

About: I’m a caring, patient, and responsible cat sitter who understands that cats need both love and respect for their individual personalities. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, fresh water, playtime, litter box cleaning, and keeping their environment clean and comfortable. I’m especially detail-oriented when it comes to litter box care and maintaining a clean space. I’m also comfortable giving medication when clear instructions are provided and can give shy or nervous cats the time and space they need to feel comfortable. What sets me apart is my reliability, patience, and genuine love for cats. I treat every cat as an individual and make sure they receive plenty of attention and care while their owners are away. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel reassured that their cat is happy and well cared for. I have a flexible schedule and can easily fit pet care into my daily routine. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits, and I can adjust my schedule to accommodate each cat’s feeding, medication, playtime, and litter box routine. I’m reliable and organized, and I make sure each visit receives my full attention rather than rushing through it. I’m also available on weekends and can provide consistent care for clients who are traveling or away from home. I always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and making pets feel comfortable in their own environment. When caring for a cat in a client’s home, I carefully follow the owner’s instructions for feeding, medications, litter box care, and daily routines. I make sure doors and windows are secure, keep cats away from unsafe areas or household hazards, and double-check that everything is safe before leaving. I also keep the home clean and respect the client’s privacy and belongings. I understand that trust is very important when someone is caring for your pet and entering your home. I’m responsible, attentive, and respectful, and I provide regular updates and photos so owners know their cat is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
“Jessica was super respectful of our home, took wonderful care of our high energy dog and checked in regularly, asking great questions that showed she really cared about our dog and home. Definitely the best Rover sitter we’ve ever had!”

Elizabeth is great! It was our first time leaving our 16week old puppy alone with a sitter for several hours, and Elizabeth kept us at ease with regular updates and photos. She brings a very calm energy and I would recommend her for anyone looking for someone to care for their precious angel!

Gisselle was an amazing sitter with our anxious boy. She was very communicative and checked in with us. She was always promptly on time and even stayed a little longer to ensure Dennis wasn't left alone too long before we got home. We already have Gisselle booked again for September and would recommend her to anyone.

Sophia and her husband were absolutely wonderful, and I couldn’t have asked for better sitters for Fraser. From the very beginning, communication was clear, responsive, and thoughtful. They took the initiative to ask questions and confirm details I hadn’t thought to mention, which gave me a lot of confidence that Fraser was in great hands. Throughout my trip, Sophia sent regular photo and video updates, along with detailed notes about how Fraser was doing. It really gave me peace of mind knowing exactly how he was eating, behaving, and settling in while I was away. I came home finding my house cleaned and arranged the same way as it was. What impressed me most was how calm, professional, and observant they were when an unexpected situation came up at the house. She kept me informed with clear, factual updates and helped me understand what was happening without adding unnecessary stress. I truly appreciated her and her’s professionalism and support during a situation that could have been much more difficult. Most importantly, Fraser was well cared for, and clearly comfortable with them. I would absolutely trust Sophia and her husband with Fraser again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring pet sitters.

Catherine was an amazing sitter for my dog, Finn!! He felt very comfortable with her and she was so so welcoming to him! She sent updates of Finn and made sure he ate and went potty! She also took him on walks and took him on an adventure! We will be asking her to watch him in the future!

Sarah has a way with dogs and people! She is extremely kind, patient, and curious. She sent regular updates with photos and videos, so we were always in the loop on how our dog was doing. Sarah went the extra mile to make sure our dog was happy. Outside of his regular walks, she took him to the park and put treats in his toy so he was entertained. You can tell she has a genuine love for dogs! Would happily recommend her and work with her again!

This was our second time booking with Jessica for our 10 year old pup, Smokey, and once again, she exceeded every expectation. What truly sets her apart is her communication. She sends multiple updates every single day, always with lots of wonderful photos, so we never had to wonder how he was doing. It was clear from every update that he was happy, well cared for, and genuinely enjoying himself. She took him on long walks and fun adventures, giving him plenty of exercise and attention, and treated him like one of her own. On top of that, we came home to a house that was impeccably cared for. We are already looking forward to the next time that Smokey can spend some time with Jessica!

Christine stayed for several nights with our two dogs and two cats and it was a great experience. Our dogs have very different energy levels, as well as personalities, and Christine knew exactly how to manage both our senior dog and younger dog (and the cats!). I felt totally secure having the animals in Christine's care and peace of mind when I traveled. We would absolutely book with Christine again.

Linda was awesome! Super communicative, timely, and kind to my overly nervous dog. She took the time to come out for a meet and greet before the sitting period so my dog could get accustomed to her, which was extremely appreciated. She sent lots of pictures even though I was only away for two nights which I loved!! She also left my house extremely clean and left my dog happy. Will definitely book again in the future if I ever need to go away again!

Kayla is amazing. She stayed at my home and took great care of my Tito. She was kind, punctual, and very honest. I really appreciated the way she handled everything, thank you Kayla and Sorry that Tito misbehaved a little Most importantly, my dog was well cared for and happy when I returned. I’m very grateful for the love and attention she gave him, and I would absolutely book her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Brisbane on Rover is $59.94 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 8,231 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Brisbane. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brisbane walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brisbane maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brisbane choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brisbane. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
