“Emiliano is very professional, friendly and easy to work with. My pup loves having out with him. It brings us a lot of peace of mind leaving our puppy with him. Highly recommend.”

“Samantha was wonderful with my pets. My cats require a few extra steps since they do not get along very well, but she followed my instructions perfectly without any issues. She was very communicative, arrived when she said she would, and most importantly, I came home to two happy cats. I would absolutely recommend Samantha, and she will be the first person I reach out to next time I need a sitter.”

“Jaron was amazing while my husband and I were away for a week. Jaron watched our two kitties and went out of the way to make sure that they were cared for during the crazy ice storm that came through! Jaron always sent many photos and great updates, so that I knew that the kitties were good. The whole situation could have been very stressful, but Jaron really did a great job taking care of them.”

“As usual Shao is the best! She dropped by to spend time with ozzy while I worked a very long shift. She walked, fed, gave his medicine, comforted and spent time with him. Ozzy is my senior dog that requires very specific care and she always does the best job taking care of him just as I would do. Shao always updates me consistently with photos and videos of what they’re up to, Ozzy always looks genuinely happy and comfortable, which is so so important because he gets very bad anxiety. Whenever I get home after Shao dropped by he always looks very peaceful and rested. Thank you Shao! Highly recommend!”

“Lydia is caring, communicative, and detail-oriented. She has taken great care of our cats and we trust her to do a great job every time. (She also sends an abundance of pictures of your pets while you’re away!)”

About: I love all pets. I especially love being active and running and will take my friend’s dog to the local 5k when she’s available. I do part time online tutoring and some in person extracurricular teaching. This gives me time between sessions to check in on your pets frequently. I am very careful and will follow any special instructions for caring for your pet extremely closely. I love pets and my priority is always the pet’s comfort.

“Vanessa was very communicative around planning the visit and she was also very respectful of my cat’s boundaries around new people! She also was skilled in giving my cat her medication with minimal resistance haha. Thank you for taking care of her!”

“We engaged Chenyang for several drop-in visits to take care of our cats. She is very responsible, communicative, and punctual. She’s detail-oriented and took photos of her work to assure us that everything was in order. She’s very kind and gentle to pets and our cats warmed up to her very quickly. We would definitely work with her next time!”

“Carmen did a great job taking of care of my cat when I was away for a weekend. From the start, she was quick to respond to my messages and a clear communicator. She inquired about all the details of my cat’s care. As a plus, she gave me updates when she was checking in and even sent me some stellar portrait mode photos of my cat ?”

“I highly recommend Jie!My two dogs received the care and attention they needed! Jie is very friendly, trustworthy and dependable. She is prompt and update me when I’m out of town which is always comforting. You will not be disappointed.”

I currently have 3 dogs , 1 mini poodle (female 11) , 1 dachshund (male 6) , and 1 chuweenie ( female 8) , I as well have a cat (female 3) that I rescued as a kitten! I currently work a part-time job at a dental office as a receptionist, my weekly schedule for work is Monday - Thursday from noon- 5:30pm which gives me the mornings and evening to look after your fur babies if and when needed! I have a nice sized yard and I live in a very quiet and pleasant neighborhood to walk your dog! Growing up my mom was a house keeper so from a very young age I was taught how to keep any space whether it was my home or another’s nicely organized and cared for! Respect will always been shown to you and your pets while you are away!
“I hired Seng for drop-in visits very last minute and she was quick to respond, very positive and professional. I gave her all the information and she cared for my senior doggy wonderfully. I loved that she sent me lots of great pics and engaged with me during her visit. I will definitely hire Seng again, she’s great!”
“Emily was fantastic with my cat Sola. They were prompt with communication and left very detailed check-in notes about Sola, which gave me great peace of mind. Emily was also very flexible when it came to coordinating key drop-off/pick-up. I would highly recommend Emily's services to anyone!”

“Shai did an amazing job sitting our disabled, elderly kitty! She followed our routine and Fiona loved her. Fiona doesn't love many people. Shai communicated well and send pics. We will definitely book with her again!”

“Mystyc was amazing with my elderly, disabled kitty Fiona! She was curious and helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make Fiona comfortable. She administered meds and changed protective coverings on Fiona's ankles with confidence and no trouble. Mystyc communicated clearly and sent updates and pics everyday. I would hire her again without hesitation, she truly cared about Fiona and it showed. Mystyc is a superstar and renewed my faith in Rover sitters!”

About: I've pet sat for family pets for a while - dogs, cats, and birds - and then just 2 years ago I started dog sitting for non-family members who I got recommended to (a total of 3 non-family member pets). Mostly my responsibilities were to walk (on and off leash), feed, play, and for some pups give medicine. Pretty basic stuff! I do also have a dog who we got as a puppy (he's about to be 5 in May 2026) so I have a little bit of experience there. The dogs I have taken care of have ranged in ages, I think the youngest (that was not my dog) was 7 years old and the oldest was 12 years old. No special skills or anything like that, but I won't pass up the opportunity to learn something new. I'm currently unemployed but have a full-time pre-apprenticeship program that starts May 11th, 2026 and ends in July 31st, 2026. Which will have me gone from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Other than that, my schedule is open until then and after I finish. I assume that drop-ins will be most of what I can take on, or overnights if it's okay to be gone for that long during the day. But, as of March 2026-April 2026 I am pretty flexible. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to pet sit at my place since it's a full house. For every pet I've taken care of, I was in a house sitting situation, except for the most recent dog I've been walking who is okay to just be walked and fed. But, I totally understand the pets who need the company throughout the day/night. Each dog is super different and my goal is to adjust as best as I can to their needs!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Brisbane
We had a wonderful experience with Blessy and are more than happy to recommend her! She is incredibly knowledgeable about all things cat-related, and we felt completely at ease leaving our cats, Alex and Lulu, in her care. Blessy is communicative, reliable, and kept us updated with photos and videos throughout our trip, which gave us great peace of mind. She was also very flexible and accommodating, especially when our plans changed and we needed to add extra visits and adjust the dates and times. Most importantly, she took excellent care of our kitties, and it was clear they were happy and well looked after. She even taught one of cats to spin around for his treat!

She was very thorough and took good care of our cats!! Both of our cats are a handful but she managed to look after them with ease. She made sure to interact a lot with them during the short amount of time she had with them each day, and I appreciate that she asked us a lot of questions when she needed more clarification on something. We would definitely book with her again!

Benjamin was great! It was our first time using Rover and using someone not referred to us. Benjamin was super easy to work with and very communicative. It was our first time leaving our kitty since we moved here and Benjamin was understanding to my nervousness of leaving her and completely reassured me through pictures and his reports. We'll definitely use his services again.

Jasmine (Jie) was a wonderful sitter for our cat. We booked 2 weeks of drop in visits while we were traveling and she went above and beyond. Our cat loved her and we could travel with a peace of mind since we knew she was taking good care of her. She is very attentive and also very responsive to messages. She would notice little details and changes in our cat and let us know immediately. We would love to keep working with Jasmine in the future!

Yu-Hsuan was a great sitter for our two cats! She is very thorough and took many pictures to share with us while we were away. I appreciate her care and attention to detail. Both cats liked her a lot 😊 We got stuck while traveling and she was able to be flexible and drop in an additional time at the last second. Thank you again Yu-Hsuan!

This was our 2nd time booking Kami and she has taken really great care of our 3 cats. She pays attention to how much each one is eating and makes sure they all receive cuddles and play time when we're away. We always get pictures of everyone, and she is very prompt in replying to our messages. Two of our cats are pretty shy and she has been able to make friends with both of them, and everyone is in high spirits when we get home! She has also helped grab *several* packages while we were away during the holidays. We'll definitely be booking with her again - TYSM Kami!

Savannah took care of my cat Chibi for 2 days while I was away. Chibi seems to enjoy her company a lot when she visited—she played with her and seems very affectionate with her as well which is so nice and assuring for me since I know my fur baby is in good hands. I highly recommend Savannah :)

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brisbane. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
