“Vanessa was very communicative around planning the visit and she was also very respectful of my cat’s boundaries around new people! She also was skilled in giving my cat her medication with minimal resistance haha. Thank you for taking care of her!”

“Katrina is excellent! We had a building access issue and she communicated and problem solved effectively. Very personable and great with Rupert the cat. Will definitely call on again!”

“Sandra was fabulous! She was very accommodating to a change we made to our vacation and did not hesitate to work with us on that. Easy to communicate with and sent us lots of pictures as well as daily updates. Special thanks to Sandra for dealing with our sometimes spicy cat. Sandra knew just what to do and made us feel comfortable that both kitty and Sandra were safe! ❤️ We will definitely ask Sandra back next time we are away.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 13 years old, and have had cats and dogs for my entire adult life. I have helped friends and family take care of their pets for just as long. I love animals, and their well-being is my utmost priority. I have extensive experience and knowledge on what pets need from experience with my own pets and taking care of pets for others. When I am traveling or need to be away from home for any reason, my main concern is always whether my cats and dogs are happy and getting everything they need. My mission is to do everything I can to give you the worry-free experience I would want myself. I am self-employed, so my schedule is flexible around what you and your pet(s) need. I am available at most times of the day and on weekends/holidays. I understand that every pet’s need can differ based on the situation. I will care for your pet according to his/her individual need.
About: Hi there! I’m Yesenia, a dedicated pet lover with 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats. Whether it’s energetic puppies who need training and patience, senior pets requiring extra TLC, or pets with special needs, I tailor my care to fit each animal’s unique personality and routine. What sets me apart? I go beyond basic pet sitting—I provide companionship, enrichment, and personalized attention. I have experience with: 🐶 Puppy Training – Helping little ones with house training, basic commands, and socialization. 🐾 Senior Pet Care – Ensuring older pets get the gentle care, medication reminders, and comfort they need. 🐕 Active & Engaging Walks – Tailored to each pet’s energy level, from leisurely strolls to fun play sessions. 🩺 Specialized Care – Administering medications, dietary needs, and creating a stress-free environment. I know how much your pet means to you, and I treat every animal as if they were my own—with love, patience, and reliability. Whether you're going on vacation or just need a helping hand, I’m here to provide peace of mind and happy tails! Let’s chat about how I can help care for your furry family member. 🐾💕 I currently work a 9-5 job during the weekdays. Fridays are typically my easier days at work. I'm more likely to be available after 5 and board or hang with your fur baby on weekends. I also work from home on some days during the week, which gives me time to check in or walk your furry friend. Feel free to reach out, and we could also work something out. In my home, I provide a safe and comfortable environment with a fenced-in backyard for secure outdoor time. Pets receive plenty of companionship, playtime, and a cozy space to relax. In my client's home, I follow their pet’s routine to ensure a stress-free experience. I provide feeding, litter box maintenance, playtime, and companionship. If needed, I can also take pets on walks and offer specialized care for kittens, senior cats, or those with special needs.
“Thank you for taking care of my babies Elena. My 2 cats love her. She is responsible and patient. She sent many pictures to show me how they were doing and she got several bellies up from my two cats. That’s the best review you can get.”

About: Hi, I have ten years of experience caring for dogs. My beloved Rover (German Sherpeherd and Rottweiler mix) passed away last year due to ailment. He lived for 11 years. I also used to work in Nevada and was taking care of two Chihuahua beauties. Please be mindful of the fact that all dogs were rescue dogs. My Rover was rescued from Oakland. My co worker couldn't afford to take care of the Chihuahuas due to medical bills so I stepped in to help for the year I was in Nevada. Recently, on my vacation in Costa Rica, I managed to rescue a Beagle mix puppy from a construction worker who said he found her in a box on the street!!!! I asked my father in law if he had space for her in his house in Costa Rica and amazingly he agreed. Needless to say, I love dogs and have experience with small and big dogs. My wife, kids, and I share the same love for dogs.
About: My name is Lorenzo and I own and have grown up around dogs my whole life. I’ve always been good with dogs ever since I was a kid and understand what dogs need and the responsibility of taking care of dogs. If you need a dog walker, dog sitter, someone to check in on your dog, or someone to stay with with your pup then I’m the one for the job. It’s my aim to love and adore your dog as much as you do. I absolutely love dogs and I am comfortable with dogs of all ages. I’m an active athlete and will love to take your dog on exciting adventures and have a great time. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your pup soon. Pet care is an important part of my daily and weekly routine. Even though I have a part-time job, I always make time for feeding, walking, playing, and giving attention to the pets I care for. I’m very organized, so I plan my schedule to make sure their needs come first. I also keep their space clean, make sure they have fresh water, and do weekly tasks. I’m flexible and happy to work with pet owners to create a schedule that works for both of us, making sure their pets get consistent, loving care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with the same respect and attention I would give my own. I always begin by reviewing the client’s instructions carefully to ensure I fully understand the pet’s routine, dietary needs, medical requirements, and behavior patterns. Consistency is key, so I do my best to maintain the pet’s usual schedule—whether that involves specific feeding times, regular walks, play sessions, or quiet time. I take extra care to keep the home clean and secure while I'm there, including cleaning up after the pet, locking up when I leave, and making sure the pet has fresh water, a tidy living area, and any comforts they’re used to. I also pay attention to details like adjusting lights or curtains if needed, bringing in mail, or watering plants if requested—anything that helps maintain the normal routine and security of the home. Regular communication is also important to me. I provide updates, photos, or quick messages to reassure the owner and let them know how their pet is doing. I understand the trust it takes to let someone into your home and care for your pet, Therefore, my top priorities are care, accountability, and reliability.
“I highly recommend Jie!My two dogs received the care and attention they needed! Jie is very friendly, trustworthy and dependable. She is prompt and update me when I’m out of town which is always comforting. You will not be disappointed.”

“Cheryll was so warm and caring. I had no worries knowing he would spend some time with my pup. She arrived as scheduled and even stayed a little longer than requested. We will definitely use Cheryll again!”
“Tingting was a great cat sitter and I'd highly recommend her! She did drop-ins for my 2 cats, and she was very communicative and sent many pictures during her visit. She fed them, played with them, gave them treats, and maintained the water fountain which covered all their needs. My cats seemed to like her!”

Yujie watched my two cats while I was away for almost 10 days, and I couldn't have asked for a better sitter. She was very communicative, sending updates and photos regularly, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was traveling. I would absolutely book with Yujie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy

She was very thorough and took good care of our cats!! Both of our cats are a handful but she managed to look after them with ease. She made sure to interact a lot with them during the short amount of time she had with them each day, and I appreciate that she asked us a lot of questions when she needed more clarification on something. We would definitely book with her again!

My shy, fussy cats really warmed up to Maria! She came morning and evening for 12 days while I was away and during that time she brought them out of their shell. Not only that but she cleaned the litter box wach time and washed the food dishes and cleaned the feeding mat each time. So adding it all up: quality socializing and play time plus cleaning and feeding, My kitties and I give Maria 5 stars!

Andrea did an amazing job caring for our kitties, Leya and Simon! We really appreciated how thorough she was and how carefully she followed all of our instructions. She spent lots of quality playtime with Simon, which he absolutely loved, and gave both cats wonderful care and attention while we were away. Andrea was also very respectful of our home, which gave us extra peace of mind. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and caring pet sitter!

Jasmine (Jie) was a wonderful sitter for our cat. We booked 2 weeks of drop in visits while we were traveling and she went above and beyond. Our cat loved her and we could travel with a peace of mind since we knew she was taking good care of her. She is very attentive and also very responsive to messages. She would notice little details and changes in our cat and let us know immediately. We would love to keep working with Jasmine in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
