It’s really important for me to know as much as possible about a pet ahead of time so I can give them the best care. I like to ask about their daily routine, feeding schedule, any medications they need, and how they usually behave around new people or other animals. It’s also helpful to know if they have any allergies, fears (like thunderstorms or vacuum cleaners), or specific habits I should be aware of—like chewing, digging, or trying to sneak out the door! Understanding their personality, energy level, and favorite toys or activities helps me tailor the experience to what they enjoy most. And of course, knowing your preferences and any house rules makes sure everything goes smoothly while you're away.

A typical day with the pets I watch is all about keeping them happy, healthy, and loved! I like to start the day with a nice walk or some playtime to get their energy out—whether that's tossing a ball, playing tug-of-war, or just exploring the neighborhood (sniffing everything, of course!). Throughout the day, I make sure they stay on their routine with meals, potty breaks, and lots of cuddles. I also like to add in some enrichment activities like puzzle toys, treat hunts, or basic training games to keep their minds sharp. If the pet enjoys it, I’ll mix in some outdoor adventures like a park visit or even a little doggy photoshoot—because who doesn’t love cute pics of their fur baby? At the end of the day, we wind down with some chill time, maybe a belly rub session or snuggling on the couch. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and entertained the whole time we're together!
