“Aik was the perfect cat sitter! Very friendly, was proactive and took initiative in the care, and was very communicative. He also took very good care of my home and cleaned up all messes. Would definitely work with Aik again, and my cat loved him too! They can tell who good people are. Thanks Aik!”

“Irina was extremely attentive to my boys' needs, going above and beyond with giving them treats, playing with them, cleaning their litter box, and sending plenty of updates while I was away on a trip. I had only asked her to keep the boys well fed and ensure their safety, but clearly, my cats had a great time with her around! I recommend Irina to any pet parent in need of care for their beloved pets”

“Claudia is an amazing cat sitter. Always reliable, and great communication. She goes above and beyond, and even cleaned our feeder units sparkling clean! We always feel comfortable leaving our cats in her care. We highly recommend Claudia!”

“Lizbeth took great care of our two senior cats! She was patient with our picky senior orange, and kept us updated with lots of photos and comments throughout our time away. She was respectful of our house and overall a friendly and genuine person!”

About: I live with two dogs of my own as part of a full multi-pet household, so daily care isn't new to me — it's routine. I have specific experience with senior dogs, including the extra patience and attentiveness that comes with mobility issues, changes in appetite, and adjusted exercise needs. I'm comfortable administering medications — pills, liquids, or topicals — and keep careful notes on dosing and timing so nothing gets missed. My apartment includes an oversized outdoor patio for fresh air and relaxing evenings, and our community also has a dog run that's always accessible for exercise and playtime. Whether your dog is a high-energy pup or a slower-moving senior, I adjust my pace and attention to what they actually need. Pet care is my full-time focus, because I don't work outside the home, my schedule is wide open — which means I can offer walks and drop-in visits at the times that actually fit your pet's routine, not squeezed into a narrow morning-or-evening window like many sitters. Mornings are typically free for early walks or first visits of the day. I have consistent availability through the afternoon for midday drop-ins, potty breaks, or a second walk if your dog needs it. And I'm just as available in the evenings for a final walk or check-in before you're home. Whether your pet needs one visit a day or several spread throughout, I have the flexibility to actually be there when it counts. Safety and trust start with creating a calm, structured environment where pets can settle in and feel at home. My apartment is a full-time, attentive household — with two dogs and several cats of my own, pets who stay or visit here are never left alone for long stretches, and routines (feeding, medication, walks) are followed closely and consistently. I keep a close eye on interactions between visiting pets and my own animals to make sure everyone is comfortable, and I'm attentive to signs of stress so I can adjust the environment as needed — whether that means quiet separate space or supervised introductions. Outdoor time is always supervised, whether that's the patio, a walk, or the community dog run, and I take care to secure doors, gates, and any potential hazards throughout the home. Your pet's safety and comfort are treated with the same level of care as my own.

“Olivia was amazing with my two kitties. She is very communicative and patient with all my questions. She came by for a meet and greet and dropped off my key afterwords in a timely manner. She sent me many photos for each check in, and left a very detailed description for her updates. I highly recommend Olivia she’s very personable and loves animals. Thank you Olivia!”

“Gina was great with my cat who warmed up really quickly to her. She is very friendly and has the patience to allow pets to get familiar with her. She made sure my cat was getting the care and playtime needed during the 4 days we were out of state. I highly recommend booking with her to watch your pets.”

About: Welcome and hello! I’m Melissa and I offer a stop shop including dog grooming 7 days a week, dog boarding and doggy daycare. I also board rabbits and guinea pigs. Just a 10 minute drive from the San Francisco airport, you can drop off and pick up on your way to the airport. I have over 4,000 square feet of secured, fenced in yard for your dog to play in as well as a shaded patio area and a sunroom that they can lounge in. Your dog will have free access to the back yard as well as give them lots of cuddle time indoors. We are a crate-free home but if you need your pup “crated” we can put him in a gated hallway with their bed, food and water next to my bedroom. The dogs sleep in the front room on dog beds, in open dog houses or on my bed. I typically have about 5 dogs on my bed at one time. #heaven 😊 I grew up on a ranch surrounded by animals, so I am a true animal and dog lover. Over the last 7 years, I have been a dog walker, dog sitter, and a foster home for dogs. I have over 475 5-star reviews on Wag!, and I even have another business named Muttley’s Playhouse which allows me to work from home. I want you to feel confident and safe leaving your dog in my care. I can accommodate all of your needs, including short term stays, extended stays, holidays and doggy daycare, as well as last minute. My current capacity is 9 dogs for daycare and four dogs for overnights. During the holidays, I can accept two more dogs. I will also send plenty of pictures and video updates. I prefer a casual meet and greet prior to booking to make sure that this experience will be a fit for your dog. Daycare drop off starts at 7am until 7pm. Boarding is 24 hrs from drop off. Thanks for reading and I hope your fur baby will be visiting me soon! Daily daycare schedule. Breakfast 6:30-7am. Playtime from 7-7pm. Nap 12-1pm. Dinner 6-7pm. Boarding schedule same as daycare but dogs go to sleep around 8:30pm. :) Caring for pets is such a rewarding experience. I focus on their physical and emotional needs, ensuring they have a structured routine and plenty of social interaction. I make sure they know they're part of the family. ♥️
“After having the hardest time finding someone to help walk my fur baby overnight, Amber and her Partner were life savers. Sending many pictures and leaving the sweetest notes, my Ponyo has made great new friends! We look forward to rebooking and seeing them again soon!”

“Our Dog loves Aime! She is very reliable and communicative. She's walked our pup a couple times a week and we are so happy to have found her. She is kind, loving and takes extra good care of Manti Carlo.”

About: Taking care of dogs started for me with my wonderful and energetic Airedale in my teens and twenties, and continues as a dedicated uncle to my sister’s 4 dogs (yes 4!). I am the guy my friends consistently ask to pet sit when they leave town. I also take pride in leaving your house as nice as when arrived. For long stays or short, I’m happy to help. I am currently working part time nearby and I am not planning holiday travel, so I’ll have plenty of time for quality visits with your dogs! Your pets and your home environment are important to you. I will exercise the utmost care with both and make sure you feel comfortable entrusting me with either or both.
“Spencer is caring and kind dog sitter. We absolutely happy with how he handled drop-in visits and took care of our dog Bumi. Communication was smooth and he went extra mile to meet Bumi before the drop-in days. Thank you!”

About: I love spending time with animals and treat every pet like they're part of my own family. I know every pet has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to make them feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while you're away. Whether it's walks, playtime, cuddles, or just keeping them company, I'll make sure they get plenty of attention and love. My goal is for you to feel confident knowing your pet is safe, happy, and in good hands. I have had dogs and cats my entire life. I can administer oral and subcutaneous medications. I am happy to provide references from former Gilead and Genentech colleagues as well as neighbors. My best friend’s brother is a police detective who knows me well. I graduated with a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, then went on and completed my MBA at Cornell University. I stopped working recently, so I have plenty of time to devote and dedicate to pet sitting. I am available mornings, afternoons and nights, depending on what you and your pet’s schedule requires. Please note I do not offer boarding or pet care services in my own home. I have 2 cats who need to be the only animals in the house.
“Diana and Michael were so kind and professional. I felt extremely safe leaving Reptar in their hands. He requires a wagon and to be lifted, so not for everyone, but Michael was able to assist my big/little guy and get him out while I was out of town for the day. Thank you so much for being so kind and sweet to my guy.”

“Cecilia is WONDERFUL!!! Extremely attentive and thoughtful when it came to watching our dog Marco while we were on vacation. Absolutely recommend her!!!”

About: I grew up with labs and lab mixes. I have trained dogs previously. I spent several years volunteering with Guide Dogs for the Blind. Animals have always been very comfortable with me. I am currently looking for work, so I have a flexible schedule. I am able to be available as needed. I understand people's lives are busy, so I try to be flexible for the dog/cat's needs. I respect their home. I treat their home as if it's my own. I respect their fur baby's space. I would never harm an animal, especially one that's part of the family.
“Lauri has been great and has come for a few drop ins with our 3 dogs. They love her and she gives them plenty of love and attention. She goes above and beyond and helps out with things like picking up poop without being asked. Thank you Lauri!!”

Thank you, Xilin and Xiang, for taking such good care of Bobo during your drop-ins. You did a great job playing with her, brushing her, cleaning her litter box. We really appreciated the detailed notes and all the photos after each visit. It was great to know how Bobo was doing while we were away. We’ll definitely book your drop-ins again next time. Thank you!

Rong did an amazing job taking care of my cat, Avocado! She was incredibly reliable, attentive, and caring throughout the entire stay. I felt completely at ease knowing Avocado was in such good hands, and it was clear that she genuinely cared about making sure he was happy and comfortable. Everything was well taken care of, and I came home to a very happy cat. I would absolutely trust Rong with Avocado again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful and dependable sitter!

Jasmeen was fantastic watching our cats during our extended trip. Since we’ve used her before, we already knew they’d be in great hands, and she went out of her way to accommodate our schedule. She is truly one of the best sitters on Rover, we couldn’t recommend her more!

I felt very comfortable and reassured knowing that my two cats were being taken care of by Yamzel. I really appreciated how she went above and beyond to check in with me about any specific accommodations they needed and to clarify any instructions. She also provides so many check-in photos, which are wonderful to receive while you’re away on vacation and really give you peace of mind! I’ve booked her twice so far and will gladly continue using her in the future. Highly recommend Yamzel!

Jo-Anne took excellent care of our guinea pig, dependably coming over daily during our long time away. She was kind and caring to our piggie, even going above and beyond to bring over extra homemade toys and looking up ways to enrich our piggie’s day. It was such a comfort to know that Jo-Anne was there every day, and we really appreciate her diligent care of our little one. Thank you so much, Jo-Anne!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
