“Alfie was in great hands again! This was Heleen's second time doing daily check-ins for him and it gave me such peace of mind while I was away for a week. She is always reliable, communicative and clearly cares about animals and making sure they're comfortable, fed and loved on. I really appreciated the updates and knowing someone trustworthy was checking in on our little needy guy. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable cat sitter.”

“Irina is very lovely lady and caring our cat so much! She followed all instructions, and visited our cat timely. She even stayed longer than our original booking window to spend time and play with Capy. Took a lot photos and video to make sure we feel comfortable during our leave. Our cat is a shy boy, usually hide from strangers but not to Irina. He even showed his belly with trust to her, that says something! We will not hesitate to work with Irina when necessary for next time, thank you so much!🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️”

About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 7, and I have efficient experience with petting and playing with them. I always build up strong trust and a connection with them. I am currently a full-time student, but I have plenty of time to walk dogs during the week days. I am also available full days on weekends. I have a strong apartment and am surrounded by a community of dog lovers. Just let me know your needs, and I will make sure to satisfy them to the best of my ability.

“Lizbeth did a great job checking in on our cat, and was super communicative. She followed all instructions and left the place clean. Would book her again in the future!”

“I cannot thank Emmy enough, she has been such a huge help! My cats had an emergency during my vacation, and Emmy was able to come check on them quickly. She visited my cats everyday and they were so comfortable around her! Emmy gives detailed updates and lots of cute photos of my kitties. Huge weight lifted off my shoulders so I can relax and enjoy my trip. Thank you so much Emmy!”

About: I live with two dogs of my own as part of a full multi-pet household, so daily care isn't new to me — it's routine. I have specific experience with senior dogs, including the extra patience and attentiveness that comes with mobility issues, changes in appetite, and adjusted exercise needs. I'm comfortable administering medications — pills, liquids, or topicals — and keep careful notes on dosing and timing so nothing gets missed. My apartment includes an oversized outdoor patio for fresh air and relaxing evenings, and our community also has a dog run that's always accessible for exercise and playtime. Whether your dog is a high-energy pup or a slower-moving senior, I adjust my pace and attention to what they actually need. Pet care is my full-time focus, because I don't work outside the home, my schedule is wide open — which means I can offer walks and drop-in visits at the times that actually fit your pet's routine, not squeezed into a narrow morning-or-evening window like many sitters. Mornings are typically free for early walks or first visits of the day. I have consistent availability through the afternoon for midday drop-ins, potty breaks, or a second walk if your dog needs it. And I'm just as available in the evenings for a final walk or check-in before you're home. Whether your pet needs one visit a day or several spread throughout, I have the flexibility to actually be there when it counts. Safety and trust start with creating a calm, structured environment where pets can settle in and feel at home. My apartment is a full-time, attentive household — with two dogs and several cats of my own, pets who stay or visit here are never left alone for long stretches, and routines (feeding, medication, walks) are followed closely and consistently. I keep a close eye on interactions between visiting pets and my own animals to make sure everyone is comfortable, and I'm attentive to signs of stress so I can adjust the environment as needed — whether that means quiet separate space or supervised introductions. Outdoor time is always supervised, whether that's the patio, a walk, or the community dog run, and I take care to secure doors, gates, and any potential hazards throughout the home. Your pet's safety and comfort are treated with the same level of care as my own.
“Our experience with Rong was terrific! She cared for our cats for a couple days while we were away. She was prompt, thorough, and communicative. One day it looked like the cats got into a tiff and there was hair tufts all over the hallway. She let us know, sent photos and cleaned up after them. We appreciated her care for our cats and home, as well as the updates and pics that she provided. Thanks so much Rong! We’ll be in touch again!”

“Thank you, Xilin and Xiang, for taking such good care of Bobo during your drop-ins. You did a great job playing with her, brushing her, cleaning her litter box. We really appreciated the detailed notes and all the photos after each visit. It was great to know how Bobo was doing while we were away. We’ll definitely book your drop-ins again next time. Thank you!”

“Alanna did a great job looking after my cat. She dropped in regularly, sent me a photo, and gave me updated details about her every day. When I returned, kitty looked well fed and happy and the house looked orderly and clean.”

About: I've been around animals almost my whole life. I volunteered at an animal shelter in high school, have had cats of my own since 2013, pet sat cats and dogs for friends and family, and have had experience raising kittens as well as experience in TNR. Starting in late August I will be unable to visit your pet between 8am-12:30pm during the week as I am a part time preschool teacher. However, I can spend all weekend taking care of your pet. Even though I am working part time, I am more than happy to spend as much time as possible with your pet when you're not able to so they have company until you return home! As a life long animal lover, I understand pets are more than just an animal, but they're part of the family. I take time to get to know each pet and will do all I can to ensure that they are always safe in my care, whether during a walk or pet sitting in your home.
About: I’ve been an in-home house/pet sitter for 3 years now with some consistent and happy pet families. I am happy to stay in home, drop in, do walks, and I’m experienced with cats and any sized dog. I have classes 3 days/week in the mornings, and then work everyday for 3-5 hours in the afternoon. I have space in between those commitments. I put the animal’s needs first! I love to do their favorite things with them. Running, playing fetch, cuddling, going to the park, going on walks, etc.
“Amazing!! Will be using her again. She not only was able to stop by in an emergency but she has also been great with my older dog. Great person and would recommend her to walk my friends dogs.”
“Angelica was so sweet with our boy! She made sure he got some outside time and lots of great cuddles. She also made sure to follow all instructions and administered medicine for our senior dog. Macho loved his visit from Angelica!”

About: I’m a reliable and experienced dog walker and pet sitter with over a year and a half of professional experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. I also have experience caring for cats. I’ve loved animals my whole life and was a dog and cat owner myself. My dog was part of my family for 13 wonderful years, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, feeding, fresh water, medication, or simply some companionship while you’re away, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. After every visit, I send photos, videos, and a short update. GPS walk tracking is also available whenever possible, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing. I treat every pet with patience, kindness, and respect—as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family! I offer a flexible schedule during the week. Whether you need regular walks, drop-in visits, cat care, or occasional pet sitting, I’ll do my best to accommodate your pet’s routine and your schedule. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow your care instructions, respect your pet’s routine, and pay close attention to their behavior and needs. Whether it’s a walk, feeding, medication, or quiet companionship at home, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
“Another amazing experience with Poppy! She did a last-minute drop-in visit for my cat. My cat trusts her (cat is shy and doesn’t let people get close to take photos, but she let Poppy get close); I trust her too!”

I felt very comfortable and reassured knowing that my two cats were being taken care of by Yamzel. I really appreciated how she went above and beyond to check in with me about any specific accommodations they needed and to clarify any instructions. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
