About: I've been around animals for as long as I can remember, starting with Ginger, my family's German shepherd and husky mix, and four cats growing up. I later spent about two years volunteering at my local SPCA, working hands-on with dogs of every size and temperament, from bouncy puppies to nervous rescues. I've also had cats of my own as an adult, including two rescues, and fostered kittens before I started traveling. Since then I've cared for pets through farm stays and housesits across Costa Rica, Panama, Spain, and Canada — dogs, cats, chickens, goats, even an adult pet rat. I'm comfortable administering medication, working with anxious or senior animals, and managing multi-pet households. I'm calm, attentive, and treat every home and animal I look after like my own. I'm currently transitioning to the San Mateo County area temporarily starting early November and building my schedule around pet care full-time, so I have plenty of flexibility for house sits, and daily visits, including extended or last-minute stays. I don't currently have a conflicting 9-to-5, which means I can commit fully to a pet's normal routine for the length of a booking rather than fitting care in around other work. Since I focus on house sitting, I stay at your home rather than asking your pet to adjust to a new environment. I follow feeding, medication, and walking routines exactly as instructed, keep the house clean and secure, and send regular photo updates so you can relax while you're away. I don't bring other pets into the home, so your animal gets my full attention for the whole stay.

About: Hi folks, I’m Hannah. My pets are a part of my chosen family. They each have their own quirks, preferences, attitudes, and personalities. I’d be honored to bring your furry family member into our lives! I’ve had many different pets over the last 20 years: parakeets (Lucy and Ricky), gerbils (Louis and Clark), dogs (Lilly, Iggy, Olive, Stella, Dexter, Pearl), and cats (Charlie, Baby Boy). We love to walk and hike throughout the bay area, run the beach, teach tricks, sunbathe in the yard, play with the very many (too many!) toys strewn about our house, and cuddle in front of the fire pit. We have a lovely fenced yard for our pups to run around and frolic in, as well as a doggy door so they can go out at their leisure. I like to take my dog on 2 walks a day (gotta check their pee-mails!) and there is a dog park within walking distance of our house should your pup prefer to run around freely. I do not crate my dog, so if that is in your routine, please let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly. “I highly recommend Chamu for anyone who needs a trusted sitter and want to feel reassured that their pet is well taken care of. I booked Chamu as a drop in visit during my long trip. I was hesitant because my cat is very hesitant when it comes to strangers and I had not booked any service through Rover before. Normally my cat gets visitors but due to holidays there were nobody around, so I had to turn to Rover for last minute drop in bookings. Both times I booked Chamu she was very responsive and very accommodating. The visits themselves were very short, but she did everything and more. She refilled his food and water, tidied up his litter, and played with him. She also sent me pictures, and I was happy to see that he was very receptive to her. Overall, I am very happy with my experience with her and would highly recommend her. I would definitely book her again if I ever need to.”
