About: Animals have always been my jam. One of my favorite quotes is, "Dogs are angels sent down by god to teach us how to unconditionally love". When I'm surrounded by animals I feel at peace and because of that they feel content and loved. I've always had connections with animals on a very deep level. I feel they have so much to teach us and that earning an animals trust is one of life's most highest honors. With all my friends and family I've always been "chosen" by their cats and have been their dogs favorite person outside the family. I have a gift with animals that has allowed me the privilege to take care of and connect with many throughout the years. I do most of my work at home online and I'm a homebody so my pet care is part of my normal daily routine. I want them to feel that they're never alone. I feed, walk, play games cuddle and treat them as my own.If they need medicine, I can help with that as well. The hardest part of doing a service like this is when I leave them I miss them dearly until next time I see them.

I booked with Megan for check-ins for my three cats over the holidays and she was amazing! From the meet and greet to her notes and pictures, she was professional and attentive. She went above and beyond providing care for my pets. After a few other lukewarm Rover experiences, I was so happy to find Megan.

About: I grew up with dogs and hamsters as a kid, but my love for animals didn’t end there. I raised and trained two dogs from puppies to adult. I volunteered at the SPCA socializing cats. I adopted and raised cats from kitten to adult. I currently have a 15 yr old and two 2.5 yr old cats. I have helped dog sit and cat sit for friends over the years and fostered several litters of dogs and a few cats. I love animals and will ensure yours gets the attention, care and time they deserve. I’m currently a teacher on summer break . I’m traveling for some of June but around in July with low key plans around the area. I’d fit my plans around your fur baby’s needs. I will follow the needs you share of your pets and your expectations , and use my skillset to connect with your animals at the level they are comfortable with.

She proactively reached out for info ahead of time, was prompt for visits, sent us photos, and even offered to help with other things around the house while we were away. She was kind and patient with our shy kitty and followed the instructions we left. We'll definitely book Justine again when we need a Rover. Thank you, Justine!

About: I spoil the pets I care for. Your dog gets exercise and genuine companionship. Your cat gets a safe, entertaining environment where they’re actually the center of attention. I’ve loved my own Maltese Poodle for six years and my British Shorthair cat is basically my child, that’s the energy I bring. No rushing, no distractions. Just real care that makes your pet feel loved and comfortable while you’re away. I keep a flexible schedule and I’m selective about bookings so I can give your pet the attention they deserve. Weekdays, just give me 3 hours notice. Weekends, 24 hours ahead lets me plan properly. Your pet’s comfort and safety are everything to me! Every pet parent and pet is different, and I adapt to what works for you both. If you have a specific routine or instructions, I’ll follow them to a tee — I want your pet to feel safe and secure. Or if you’re more laid back, I’m totally happy to just give them love, attention, and great care. Either way, you can relax and actually enjoy your trip knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m clean, professional, and super communicative — you’ll get tons of photos and updates throughout, so you’re always in the loo

About: I’ve shared life with animals for 23 years—starting with my cat Chiquita (14 wonderful years), a rescued lab-beagle Hooke, and two rambunctious pups: Tiger (adopted 4 years ago) and Lou (3 years ago). Tiger lives confidently with epilepsy, so I’m well-versed in seizure monitoring, timed oral meds, and sub-cutaneous injections when needed. Right now my own dogs are staying abroad, so caring for your pets fills that furry void. With this hands-on medical experience, I’m equally comfortable looking after seniors, puppies, and other special-needs companions. Your dog receives one-family-at-a-time attention, calm positive-reinforcement handling, and daily photo updates. Standard neighborhood walks and yard play are included; beach days, trail hikes, or extended runs can be arranged for an additional fee to cover travel and time. I work locally but not on a strict 9-to-5 clock, so pets start their day with a 7 AM walk and breakfast, get a mid-day potty break (between 12-2 PM), and enjoy a long evening adventure after 5 PM. Weekends are wide open for beach runs, parks, or lazy couch snuggles. Boarding stays include one family movie night—dogs pick the film!—and lights-out around 10 PM. I never book more animals than I can give individual attention. Your pet’s wellbeing is my top priority. I host one family at a time in a clean, smoke-free house with a fully fenced yard, so dogs (and adventurous cats!) can sniff around outdoors under my watch whenever the weather’s nice. Inside, open space, and plants are pet-safe. For outings, I’m fully kitted out—seat-belt harnesses, water packs, etc. I ask for current vaccines before booking to keep everyone healthy. You’ll get time-stamped photos and quick replies throughout your pet’s stay, so you’re never left wondering how your best friend is doing.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all kinds my entire life including my 12 year old Lhasa Apso named Tashi. I’ve also helped walked, trained, dog-sit, and administer medication to the dogs from members of my community for a large part of my life! Additionally, I’ve shadowed at serval veterinary clinics and assisted with taking vitals and providing care for the animals. Growing up I regularly cared for my dog feeding him and walking him two times a day! I even started recently making him food from scratch in order to better suit his nutritional needs and taste preferences. I would happy to assist with pet care in the homes of my clients. I’m currently live in campus at Stanford and this can’t provide housing.

Tillana is seriously a cat whisperer. We have two cats who are usually wary around strangers but to our very pleasant surprise, they both quickly warmed up to her from the very first meeting!! I think it made a huge difference that she’s detail-oriented. Prior to the first visit, she asked a lot of questions about the cats’ personalities to be best prepared and really wowed us with her memory recall about our cats’ likes/dislikes during the first visit. During that visit, she came in with calm, gentle, friendly energy and our cats really responded positively to that. They immediately let her pet them and even gave her little licks!! They’ve never done that before to someone new! Every day she sent us beautiful, thoughtful updates that really made us feel at ease while we were away. Every update put big smiles on our faces and we felt so comfortable knowing that our fur babies were in such trustworthy, capable hands. Tillana is such a warm, kind-hearted person and I think it really shows through how receptive pets are towards her. We feel truly lucky to have found her and would absolutely recommend to her to anyone looking for exceptional, top-tier level of care.

Marilyn is the absolute best! We have a senior kitty named Zelda who is on a daily medication. Right before we left for an international trip we needed to find someone quickly who felt comfortable giving a senior kitty medication, but would also help give her the love and attention she needed while we were gone for an extra long trip. Marilyn had no fear and quickly picked up the task! Marilyn was very knowledgeable on the medication and found ways to help give Zelda the medication comfortably. She also sent us so many amazing photos and daily reports so I knew exactly how Zelda was doing. Marilyn is simply one of the best humans and we will definitely be booking again with her in the future!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in West Menlo Park on Rover is $26.64 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 6,401 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across West Menlo Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Menlo Park. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
