“Stacey was great to work with! She was a great communicator, made pick up and drop off very easy and checked in with me throughout Bogey’s stay. My pupper seemed super comfortable and at easy with her and her dogs as well. Will definitely be working with her again :)”

“We have used Renz several different times and he’s always been great! Pepper loves he and his partner and their sweeeeet dog, Whiskey. Renz is very easy to coordinate with, follows all my instructions, troubleshoots intelligently, is skilled in obedience training, and seems to really enjoy learning Pepper’s needs. He has access to a variety of dog parks and trails, including agility structures, so I know Pepper is always going to have fun and be stimulated. Highly recommend!”

“I’m so grateful for Yun and Lina. They really spoil Finley and I trust them completely with my baby. Just last week, I was in the process of moving and things took longer than expected. They were so accommodating and said I can leave Finley for however long. Not sure what I’d do without them! Thank you Yun and Lina ♥️”

About: I’m an experienced dog sitter who just relocated from San Francisco. I regularly watched a dog 3 times a week and can take up to 2 dogs at once. I've helped take care of my parents dog for 8 years since she was a puppy and I take her to the beach, for walks, to play at the dog park, and bathe her regularly. I work until 3pm so I have plenty of time in the afternoon to take pups out for walks. I love meeting new dogs and am used to high energy dogs. I am very comfortable around dogs and want your dog to be happy. I am very clean and want to be considerate of your space.
“Our puppy had such a great time with Ying! She was super attentive to all our puppy’s needs and sent lots of pictures. She was very responsive and answered all my questions. Her dog has also been a great playmate for our puppy, so they get lots of energy out too.”

About: With nearly three decades as a devoted dog mom, I understand that every dog is unique with their own personality, needs, and quirks. My 29 years of hands-on experience means I've cared for dogs through every life stage - from energetic puppies learning their first commands to gentle seniors needing extra comfort and patience. I've developed a keen eye for reading canine body language and behavior, helping anxious dogs feel secure and keeping active pups properly exercised and mentally stimulated. What truly sets me apart is my genuine love for dogs combined with the wisdom that only comes from years of dedicated pet parenthood. Your furry family member won't just be watched - they'll be loved, understood, and cared for as if they were my own. As a fitness instructor working about 10 hours per week, I have an incredibly flexible schedule that's perfect for pet care. The majority of my time is spent working from home, which means I'm available throughout the day to provide attention, playtime, and companionship. My fitness background also means I understand the importance of regular exercise - both for myself and the dogs in my care. I naturally incorporate dog walks and active play into my daily routine, often timing outdoor activities around my own workout schedule. This ensures your pup gets plenty of physical activity and mental stimulation. Since I work from home, dogs are never left alone for extended periods. They become part of my daily routine - morning walks before I start work, midday play sessions and potty breaks, and evening walks or park visits. My schedule easily adapts to each dog's specific needs, whether that's multiple short walks for a senior dog or high-energy play sessions for younger pups. The combination of my flexible schedule, active lifestyle, and home-based work creates the perfect environment for providing consistent, attentive care throughout the day. I have a large, securely gated backyard with direct access to a nearby park for walks and extended playtime. Dogs stay inside my home and sleep indoors for safety and comfort - no garage or outdoor sleeping. During the day when I'm home, they have free access to move between inside and outside as they please. I maintain their regular feeding schedule and any special dietary requirements, provide fresh water at all times, and ensure they get appropriate exercise based on their age and energy level. I follow all medication schedules and special care instructions exactly as provided. For anxious or senior dogs, I offer extra comfort and patience, while energetic pups get plenty of mental stimulation and play. I send regular photo and text updates so you know your furry family member is happy and well-cared for. My goal is to maintain your dog's routine as closely as possible while showering them with the love and attention they deserve. Safety is always my top priority - secure fencing, pet-proofed spaces, and constant supervision when needed.
“Silvana took incredible care of my very anxious dog. He typically has separation anxiety and takes a while to get use to a new place, but she made him feel comfortable right away. She took him on walks, took him to the park to play with another dog he felt comfortable with, and made sure I was updated throughout the day with pictures and videos. When I went to pick him up he gave her kisses goodbye :) We absolutely will re-book with Silvana. Thank you, Silvana, for taking such great care of Jackson!”

“I was a bit nervous about leaving Tati with a new person all day (she has separation anxiety) but she did great! Manli has the gift and Tati enjoyed the other dogs, walks, and fun environment! I'll definitely book her again :)”

About: I started taking care of pets since I was in college. I feed homeless cats and dogs and contact shelters for them. In addition, when sitting dogs and cats, I like talking to these furry friends and I find most of them can understand me! I find most furry babies feel safe and calm when I compliment them in gentle tones and give them warm smiles. Their happiness is my happiness! I work from home so I am available to sit dogs and cats usually full day from Monday to Saturday. Ideally we hope to pick them up before 10 am or after 10:30 am since I usually have meetings at 10 am every weekday. I prefer pets being dropped off at my place and I will make sure they have clean water, fresh food, potty break every 2.5 hours! I will play with them in the yard or in my apartment when they feel playful.

“We had our 3rd stay with Nina & Leo in mid-Jan. As usual, our doggie Fonzie returned to us completely calm and content. Fonzie has separation anxiety and the extra attention he is given really makes a difference. Thank you. We will definitely rebook in the future!”
“Patrina was amazing to work with! She took the time to meet with me before hand to make sure King and Bogey would get along. During Bogey’s stay, she was very communicative and sent lots of photos of all the fun activities. Bogey looked like he had a great time and was so content when I picked him up. I will definitely be using Patrina again!”

“Kylie was a wonderful dog sitter and took great care of our pup. He felt comfortable right away and came home happy and well cared for. We also loved that he got to spend time with Kylie’s sweet dog, Bluey, who is a great playmate and so friendly. Kylie’s home was perfect for dog sitting, with a fenced-in, grassy backyard that felt safe and fun for lots of outdoor play. We really appreciated the updates and knowing our dog was in such good hands. We would absolutely book with Kylie again and highly recommend her.”

“Pouneh is wonderful! From the beginning, she responded to my messages right away. We did an initial meet and greet at the local park. Nana immediately took to her and her daughters! I knew Nana would be happy and in good hands. Drop off and pick ups: I need to do an early drop off and it’s been super smooth. It’s easy to park in front and get Nana out safely and since we arranged that I send my ETA, Pouneh was already waiting outside ready to take her. Picking her up was also super easy. I texted ETA and she had everything ready with Nana. Again, parking was easy and available in front. Pouneh is very experienced and patient with dogs. She also has extra supplies like bowls, blankets, towels, leashes, etc., making it easier with less things to lug around. Nana looked so relaxed and happy when I picked her up that first day and each day since. I am happy to recommend Pouneh to anyone for doggie care and I will for sure rebook whenever I need an extra hand. Lastly, props to Rover as well. This is a great service and I don’t know what I’d do without it. I’ve always found great people here with sometimes short notice.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Menlo Park
We thank Renz for his meticulous care for our puppy. We had booked for a concert few months back and got our puppy Forrest few weeks back to our home, Renz came up with helping hands and great experience for Forrest. In few hours, Forrest got attached to him and felt very comfortable and happy. Thank you Renz for the great care and experience.

Tillana is clearly very passionate about animals and I love that she really took the time to read my notes and prepare for our pup’s stay, considering their individual personalities. She sent so many cute pictures of them and they were good tired pups when they came home!

Mara was amazing! We were traveling for a wedding, and our dog who is typically great being left alone was barking in the hotel. We found Mara and asked if she could care for our dog for 6 hours while we were at the wedding. The wedding ending up getting delayed and the transport back was an hour + late, and Mara was understanding, kind, and relaxed. We had a stress free evening, as she sent photos of our dog being fed, walked, going to the bathroom, and resting. She was patient and understanding and kind. We would highly recommend!
This was the first time my little Havanese stayed with someone on Rover and she warmed up nicely to the hospitable environment with Stacey, her adult daughter and the other friendly little dogs. Thank you for making her first visit so safe, fun and easy. I really appreciate the numerous photos and the video I received. It helps so much to feel at ease knowing she is enjoying her visit.

Here’s a polished version you could send or post: I honestly couldn’t have raised Miguel without Olga. She has been a huge part of his life since he was a puppy, and there is no one I trust more to care for him. Knowing he was with someone who genuinely loved him and treated him like family gave me complete peace of mind. As I prepare to leave California, one of the hardest goodbyes will be saying goodbye to Olga. Miguel is going to miss his time with her and all of his pup friends, and I’m going to miss knowing he’s in such caring and capable hands. Finding someone trustworthy to care for your dog is incredibly difficult these days, but Olga is truly one of a kind. She is reliable, compassionate, attentive, and treats every dog as if they were her own. If you’re looking for an amazing dog sitter, I cannot recommend her highly enough. We are so grateful for everything she has done for Miguel and our family. ❤️🐾

I felt very good leaving Kody in Yi and her husband’s warm and capable care. My anxious pup was quickly put at ease and settled in. Yi sent lots of photo updates and Kody seemed to be having a great time - playing, getting belly rubs, going on multiple walks, etc. I would not hesitate to recommend Yi.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
