About: I recently lost my nearly 9-year-old German Shepherd who I raised since he was 8 weeks old. I loved him so much and am happy I was able to give him a great life. I grew up with dogs, cats, birds, and hamsters, so naturally I love animals! (They tend to like me too.) I am comfortable with any size dog, both large and small, and can administer pet medications or help with any dietary needs. I am lucky enough to be able to work primarily from home, which allows me time to prepare meals and exercise my dog every day. Taking care of pets is part of my everyday life. I live in a townhome near several parks, and my community has a dedicated pet relief area. I generally don't crate my dog unless he chooses to go in it on his own. I of course have no problem crating your dog or following any instructions you provide.

I have been a parent to Wells, a very high-energy Vizsla, for 5 years now. We did all our training ourselves and successfully trained a great loose-leash walker. I really appreciate their flexibility in the duration of the daycare as I offer ram my estimated time to pick up Lacey. Right from the start, Rudi socialized Lacey with Rex, his Labrador with a brief two-tether walk. Provided periodic updates, pictures included, letting me know all was going well and putting me at ease. While she was there, Lacey had plenty of playtime with Rex, and slept longer into the next morning than she had before. Also fed Lacey her dinner (since I ran late), and took Lacey on a nice walk. Overall a wonderful experience for Lacey, as well as for me, as this was our very first “Rover experience”. Definitely recommend, and I will rebook if/when the next trip to the area happens.”

About: Our dogs are an extension of our hearts. Every time I leave the house, I always think about the moment I get to go back home and Parker is so excited to see me, and I him. I adopted Parker from a non-profit rescue, LoveSecondChances, that rescues dogs from adverse and inhumane conditions internationally and domestically. His breed (Jindo) is genetically inclined to be skittish, fearful, aloof, but extremely loyal. I definitely have experience with dogs who need a slow introduction to new or scary situations, and I believe in positive reinforcement as well as counter-conditioning. I work a full time, night shift job, but am saving up to purchase a home. My mornings and afternoons would be dedicated to watching your precious fur babies. 😊 I am only offering dog walking services, my home is not open for boarding. I also enjoy doing drop-ins for cats. I would be open to dog-sitting in your home after a meet and greet, and after your dog is very familiar and comfortable with me.

I usually like to get to know what each pet likes and make sure we are trying to do some of their favorite activities to make their time positive. I make a concerted effort to keep the home neat and tidy each day so that the pet is also feeling clean and comfortable, but also so that the owners know that I respect not only their pet but their home. Depending on the preference of the owner I find it fun to send a small daily update which includes a photo and how the pet is doing overall.

About: I’ve grown up with Labrador Retrievers my whole life and got my very first puppy when I was 15. More recently, I brought home a French Bulldog, and it’s been such a joy watching him grow from a tiny puppy into the sweet, fun 1-year-old he is now! I do have a lot of virtual calls so I cannot usually do last minute walks but can plan around my day! I am completely free after 3:30 PM everyday. “Finding Margaret was a god send! We have a reactive dog who isn't always friendly and finding people who can handle a dog like that is not always easy. After searching through hundreds of Rover profiles I finally found Margaret and I'm so glad I did! We had a lovely phone chat about Max and his behaviors as well as the style of training/handling we prefer (she is familiar with and willing to work with all sorts of styles). After our chat we setup a meet and greet and Max did so well with her from the get go - not even a peep out of him when they met! He quickly bonded with her and was more than happy to work with her right off the bat. She even had him meet some of her dogs (which he handled well too!). It was clear Margaret knew exactly what she was doing and had the confidence to put Max (and me!) at ease. After the meet and greet we setup an overnight boarding session to really see how Max would do - and it went so well! Margaret was incredibly communicative and gave us updates as she slowly introduced Max to her other dogs, took him on walks, and just generally kept us informed how he was handling his new environment. I was extremely impressed with how smoothly everything went and I felt so comfortable knowing Max was in good hands. I would absolutely recommend Margaret for any sort of "special needs" dogs in a heartbeat! Your dog is in safe and caring hands.”

She was super communicative and sent lots of photo updates that left me with no doubt that Brodie was getting the absolute best care tailored to her needs, including multiple walks a day, play time, and lots of cuddles. I'm sure Brodie's already looking forward to staying with Fang again!”
“Jesse and Kimmy took great care of my senior yellow lab Bruno for a week. They consistently sent updates (with pictures) without being asked and were very focused on instruction details when I handed him off. I try to keep a short list of potential sitters for when I’m out of town and they’ll be right at the top from now on.”
