About: I have grown up taking care of my family yellow lab Hobie since I was 10 years old, as well as dog walked/dog sat for friends and other families in my neighborhood. The age of the dog and any special care needed is not something I shy away from. Other Experience: - Dog walker with my sister when we were younger - house sitting with dogs I am currently home from college for the summer until September due to being on quarter system. I have open availability right now and am very flexible with scheduling needs. I live in a cul-de-sac back home, with a fenced backyard with grass, as well as a front yard where my dog can easily play, pee, or sunbathe during the Spring and Summer. I live next to downtown as well as multiple creek trails. Whether it’s going on walks with dogs or staying inside keeping cats company and time to socialize and play, are all environments I enjoy being in.
“Caroline was so easy to communicate with throughout, helping set my mind at ease that my three cats were getting the care I had hoped for. She provided a lovely little summary and photos each day, allowing me to get a glimpse of how my furbabies were doing. She regularly administered medication to my one cat who has a digestive issues. She kept me updated when she vomited (an occasional issue) and cleaned it up. She followed my requests around opening a few windows during her visits, refilling a humidifier regularly for my one cat’s asthma or plugging in the AC the night before a hot day. I appreciated knowing my cats had such a reliable caring person to check in on them, play with them, give them the attention they wanted, and provide food and water. I would absolutely have Caroline care for my cats again!”

“Jordan was an absolutely amazing sitter! This was my first time leaving my cat behind as I went on vacation and I was definitely nervous about the process, but Jordan put me at ease right away. As a bonus, my cat was still afraid to meet new people, but Jordan was very patient with her and by the end of my (short) trip, she was comfortable enough with her to sit on her lap. I cannot say how much I appreciate Jordan’s time and how nice it was to come home to a cat that was relaxed and just happy to see me.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for family, friends, neighbors, anyone with a furry bestie! Can’t have pets yet but would treat them as my own. Honestly I would love to have a pet of my own, but would like to be a home owner with a yard before I get a big old best friend. I love to watch my friends pets for them, and am joining Rover as a walker/ sitter so I could selfishly shower them with pets and love :-) I make sure that they get a wonderful day getting some energy out. Will typically walk a dog for ~30 min unless requested otherwise. My friends typically leave specific instructions for me, as their pets require more care (feeding hours, medicine application, etc.) and I will always make sure to follow your instructions as you intend!
“Miriam watched our cat while we were out of town for a week and provided excellent care. She is a great communicator and sent us pictures and notes so we were always in the loop about how kitty was doing. He was happy and content when we returned, so we know he had a good time too. We will definitely book Miriam again!”
About: I am a college student with a lifelong love for animals! I grew up with 2 dogs and 2 cats, and my friends & family often rely on me to care for their pets, including senior dogs. With a professional background leading youth programs and managing an office, I am incredibly dependable, safety focused, and organized. I also love hiking and would be thrilled to take your dogs on walks! Pet care is the highlight of my daily routine! As a college student, I have a very manageable schedule that allows me to easily step away for drop ins & walks. I already love spending my free time outdoors, so taking dogs along with me on walks or stopping to socialize with a cat sits perfectly into my everyday life. When I’m a guest in your home, my top priority is maintaining your pet’s normal routine while treating your space with respect! I am meticulous about following your exact instructions for feeding and house rules. You can expect me to leave your home exactly as I found it, or cleaner! I am highly diligent about scooping litter boxes, wiping up wet food spills, and double checking that all doors and gates are locked before I leave.

I also worked as a Zookeeper Aide at the Oakland Zoo, where I helped prepare specialized diets and support daily animal care operations in a fast-paced environment. What You Can Expect From Me: -Reliability, reliability, reliability! ☺️ -Regular communication, updates, and photos -Calm, patient handling style -Attention to detailed feeding and care instructions -Lots of affection, play, and individualized attention Previous Experience: -Zookeeper Aide at Oakland Zoo -Behavioral Health worker at a California primate center -Animal care work at research centers -Wildlife rehabilitation and sanctuary volunteer experience -Pet sitting experience with a wide range of pet breeds and personalities -Pet First Aid and CPR certified I'm currently working remotely on my capstone project to finish my Master's degree, which means my schedule is quite flexible to care for your fur babies! I do have my own cat so I need to take his own care into account when considering bookings. I prioritize creating a calm, safe, and consistent environment for every pet in their own home. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, medication, routines, and household rules while paying close attention to behavior, appetite, and overall wellbeing. I understand that every animal has a different comfort level and personality, so I approach each pet with patience, attentiveness, and respect for their space and routine.

About: Grew up with small and large dogs like Spitz and Golden retriever. Currently live with 3 cats🐱 Always Pet sitting for friends over holidays in the past including domestic cats, ragdoll, poodles and doodles, Bernese mountain, Maltese, Cotons, Cavapoo, Bichon… Flexible in time and locations My work schedule is pretty flexible, which makes it easy for me to fit pet care into my daily routine. I also enjoy driving and don’t mind traveling a bit for pet sitting or drop-in visits. I’m usually available on weekends as well, so I can be flexible with different schedules and care needs. I always follow the owner’s house rules and care instructions, and try my best to keep each pet’s normal routine while their family is away. Every pet is different, so I’m happy to adjust to their needs—whether that means extra walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply giving them some space. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and at home while in my care. 🐾
About: I've loved animals my whole life and have cared for pets since 2016. I had my own bunny for five years, which taught me responsibility, patience, and how much consistency matters in pet care. Over the years, I've helped roommates, friends, and family with their pets, including feeding, walks (rain included!), baths when needed, cleaning up accidents, playtime, and companionship. While I don't yet provide emergency or medical care beyond the basics, I'm very comfortable with daily routines and making pets feel safe and loved. What sets me apart is that I'm very good at following instructions. I know every pet parent has specific preferences, and I respect that fully. During the first visit, I may ask clarifying questions to make sure I'm doing everything exactly how you like it. I also keep your home tidy and send regular updates with photos so you feel at ease. I'm available weekdays during standard working hours and would love to spend that time giving your pup or kitty attention, movement, and care. I'm currently available on weekdays during standard 9-5 hours, which makes me a great fit for midday walks, drop-in visits, and weekday care. I'm not available on weekends at this time. Since I'm focusing on weekday bookings, I'm able to give your pet my full attention during visits rather than rushing between commitments. Your pet's comfort and your home's safety are very important to me. I carefully follow all instructions, double-check doors and leashes, and make sure your pet is secure before and after walks. I maintain a calm presence and respect both your home and your pet's boundaries. I clean up after pets, keep litter areas and feeding spaces tidy, and leave your home as I found it. Clear communication is important to me, so you can expect updates, photos, and honest check-ins throughout my time with your pet.
“Jiwon is very kind and communicative, and I felt that my cat was in good hands with her. She gave concise and thoughtful updates each visit and has a genuine love of animals :-).”

“Stephanie provided great care for my cat. She was timely and spent quality time with him. My cat was very relaxed when we returned thanks to Stephanie’s kind care. I highly recommend Stephanie for pet care.”

About: Hi, My name is Alex, it's nice to meet you. I have loved dogs my whole life. I enjoy taking care of them and the care they give back in return. Walking your dog will be as rewarding to them as it will be to me. I am a 33 year old male currently living in Mountain View. I am here to walk dogs and to do my best to care for them when I am on the job. Although I've attended a few dog training classes. Most my experience comes from being with dogs and research I've done along the way. I've been walking dogs for years now. I'll do my best to be observant, safe, and professional. My schedule is fairly open so I have the ability to be flexible with my customers.
“Although this is a last min book, Meerim did an amazing job! She was very responsive and took good care of Judy while I was away for 5 days. She also communicated things well during the meet and greet to make sure she understood Judy’s needs. I will definitely reach out to Meerim again for any future bookings.”

Xiao was the best pet sitter that we've worked with. She set up a phone call to discuss what our needs were just prior to the weekend that we asked her to pet sit. This was very reassuring as she was able to meet our cat and ask any clarifying questions. It's clear that she had significant experience with many types of cats and she gave us great advice for different parts of the pet sitting experience, including making sure that we had set up our video in case of any health issues. Her daily updates were extremely thorough, making sure to keep us up to date on our cat's health, her litter behavior and tons of photos. All of this allowed us to feel extremely reassured during our vacation that our cat would be taken care of extremely well and allowed us to feel comfortable making sure that our pet was safe and happy. As an extra bonus, she was also able to keep track of some Amazon packages that made it to our door while we were out of town and she safely put them indoors. We would highly recommend her and would absolutely use her again.

Andriana is incredibly intentional, organized, kind, and a great communicator. She kept us updated and gave us peace of mind knowing our cats were in caring hands. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. We would absolutely recommend her to the Rover community!

I’ve never used Rover or had a pet sitter and am so grateful to connect with Blair! She helped me feel totally comfortable with having her come check on Rocky when I was away visiting my mom after his major move out to California from Texas. Now I know I can go places and someone can check on Rocky and also bring him some play time which is a huge relief. He loves to play so this is great and I think the extra treats helped him feel even better adjusting to life here. I have the automatic feeder and litter but still loved having Blair check on Rocky and send photos. Can’t wait to have her come again for my trip next week! She made such good friends with him quickly which is surprising as he can be shy and cranky lol

Lisa took wonderful care of Tchitcha while we were away. She was reliable, attentive, and kept us updated throughout the visits. It gave us such peace of mind knowing Tchitcha was in good hands. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty. Thank you so much, Lisa! We would absolutely book with her again.

Kenzi was amazing with our cat! She was very communicative and detailed in every Rover report card, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Our cat can be very aggressive with strangers and has even attacked previous nannies, but Kenzi was incredibly patient with her and also creative in distracting her while she cleaned the litter and took care of everything. By the end, our cat was trusting her enough to let her pet her sometimes, which is a HUGE deal! Kenzi was also punctual, respectful, and followed all our instructions perfectly. We will definitely book her again for future trips!

Jess is awesome! Incredibly attentive, responsive and caring. My kitty is older and needs lots of affection- he didn’t even seem to notice I was gone with Jess coming to care for him. I cannot recommend her highly enough!! Thank you Jess for being such a wonderful cat sitter for Carl!

Kevin did a great job taking care of my cat while I was away. He was friendly and easy to communicate with. During our meet, he asked thoughtful questions about my cat’s routine and even small details like litter disposal, which really showed his experience and attention to detail. During each visit, he not only handled all the basics but also spent time playing with my cat, which I really appreciated. I felt totally at ease knowing she was in good hands. I would definitely book with Kevin again. Highly recommended!

Lisa took great care of my two cats! One of them is very shy and the other is super playful, but Lisa made sure both felt comfortable and gave my active cat plenty of fun playtime. This isn't the first time I've hired Lisa, but it was her first time caring for both cats together, and as always, she did a fantastic job. Highly recommend her!

Barbara is absolutely wonderful and truly goes above and beyond. She took excellent care of my cat, spent extra time with her, and kept me updated while I was away. I had complete peace of mind knowing my cat was in such caring and reliable hands. I couldn’t appreciate Barbara more and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional cat sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
