“Jordan was kind, communicative, friendly, and respectful. She was a great choice to stop in and look after Finn and Remi. She stepped up when I reached out with short notice and gave the boys the best care (and day) ever. I highly recommend her to watch your pets!”

“Mica took very thorough and thoughtful care of our big Bernese mountain dog. She was very responsive and accommodating with any of our requests and kept us fully in the loop with daily updates of our pup. I would highly recommend Mica for any of your pet sitting needs!”

About: While I've had dogs somewhere in my life as far back as I can remember (belonging to relatives and friends), my big pet care experience started when my family got a dog of our own in 2018 (we named him Fletcher). When we got him, his foster family had mostly potty trained him, but we had to teach him other commands and house rules. In 2023, I spent a summer abroad and helped foster a couple cats, including entertaining, feeding, and cleaning litter boxes. April of Last Year, Fletcher suddenly passed from our lives and left our lives feeling quite empty indeed. Late December, we adopted another dog (named Dashi) with a very different personality than Fletcher. Dashi is very sweet but very skittish, and is much more people/"pack" oriented than treat oriented. Being a student, my hours are limited by class times. Thus, I am happy to walk or visit your dog between 8:00am-11:30am Mon-Thur, and 8:30am-5:30pm Fri and Sun. When walking dogs, I am typically one to go at the dog's comfortable pace, and will plan walk routes accordingly (although, I definitely take suggestions!). At home, I will gladly play with your dog, whether it be tug-of-war, tag, fetch, or any other game. Situation permitting, I would also be willing to take your dog on play-dates or bring my own dog (Dashi, see above) if requested. Please tell me what commands are useful for your dog, and any quirks or behaviours you want me to watch out for. While I can bring my own dog treats, I by far prefer treats that you know your dog likes and will respond to. I am not willing to take your dog off-leash in public until I am sure that your dog will return when I call.
“Jiwon is very kind and communicative, and I felt that my cat was in good hands with her. She gave concise and thoughtful updates each visit and has a genuine love of animals :-).”

“Miriam is a wonderful pet sitter! We needed some last minute help with our dogs, so I reached out to her to ask if she was available. She went out of her way to accommodate our request and was able to take excellent care of our dogs for the entire time we needed. She also fed them at the appropriate time and monitored their activities very well. I would recommend her services to anyone looking for professional care for their pets! I hope to have her look after our dogs again soon!”

“Alexis took great care of my dog, Milo!! She was very responsive and asked questions about Milo to make sure he was well taken care of. She was also very kind and took many photos of him, which I was so happy to receive while I was on vacation. I highly recommend Alexis! 😊”

“Blair took wonderful care of Bell, our sometimes anxious kitty! She met Bell before our trip to get to know her and understand her routine. Bell quickly bonded with Blair, and we could tell she was in great hands. We've definitely found Bell's go-to cat-sitter! Thanks, Blair, for taking such thoughtful care of Bell and for giving us peace of mind during our trip.”

“Courtney took calked our our little 20 lbs doggie while I was away and and also did some play time with him! Communication was great and I was so relieved to see how happy he was with her. It was our first time with Courtneys help but we will definitely book with her again!”

About: I have a big german shepherd at home and multiple feline friends as a kid! I love to match the energy of pets, from gentle to roughhousing, I love it all. I work part time, however love the companionship of animals. I am rather flexible and can manipulate my schedule for more or less hours depending on the furry friend. I live in a house with a big gated backyard and lawn with plenty of room for room for zoomies. We have a big german shepherd that spends most her time in the backyard, protecting us from intruder squirrels!
About: I am an animal lover who can not wait to meet you and your dog(s) and/or cat(s). I am ready to give your furry family members lots of attention and affection and go for tons of walks! We can walk around the neighborhood or go to a local dog park. I am a proud cat mom to two senior kitties, one DSH and one Persian. I have been pet sitting for 18 years for dogs of all sizes and breeds from 4lb chihuahuas to 100lb Labrador retrievers as well as cats of all ages. I am comfortable with any age from puppy to senior dogs and have experience administering oral medications to dogs and cats. I have past experience volunteering weekly as a dog walker for an animal shelter and it gave me a ton of exposure to many different breeds and temperaments of dogs. Let me know if you have any questions! I work outside of the home on weekdays in the afternoons and evenings, but I’m usually otherwise home and available to give your pets lots of love and attention in the mornings and early afternoons as well as late evenings and weekends! I am comfortable following whatever routines you have established, including crating dogs if that’s what works for you and your family. I am always careful to secure your home and make an effort to leave the house in the same condition (or better) than I found it!
About: Hi, My name is Alex, it's nice to meet you. I have loved dogs my whole life. I enjoy taking care of them and the care they give back in return. Walking your dog will be as rewarding to them as it will be to me. I am a 33 year old male currently living in Mountain View. I am here to walk dogs and to do my best to care for them when I am on the job. Although I've attended a few dog training classes. Most my experience comes from being with dogs and research I've done along the way. I've been walking dogs for years now. I'll do my best to be observant, safe, and professional. My schedule is fairly open so I have the ability to be flexible with my customers.
About: I have cared for dogs of all kinds and ages since I was a child. I've trained puppies, cared for elder dogs, and worked with service dogs as well. January, 2026: I am working part time & remote so my schedule for pet care is very flexible! I'm available for a single day or for longer-term arrangements. I will be happy to help take care of your pets in their homes. At this time I do not have the ability to pet-sit or board at my home.
“Amanda was such a gift from heaven when my baby came down with pneumonia and I couldn’t send her to daycare for a few weeks. She was prompt, thorough, followed all my instructions and sent regular updates and photos. I could tell this is more than just a job for Amanda, and I felt at ease while working knowing my dog was being well cared for. I’d hire her again in a second!”

“Ke was very responsive and easy to coordinate meeting my cat. He was very comfortable with her. Ke spent a good amount of time with him while I was away and sent plenty of photos. I’d recommend her to anyone who needs a catsitter.”

“Although this is a last min book, Meerim did an amazing job! She was very responsive and took good care of Judy while I was away for 5 days. She also communicated things well during the meet and greet to make sure she understood Judy’s needs. I will definitely reach out to Meerim again for any future bookings.”

“We love Robyn! Were were gone for a week and Robyn was on top of it all! Excellent communication and follow up. Even our shy kitties came out from hiding to say hello. I can't recommend her highly enough. We will definitely book her again in the future.”

Jess did great with Moose! The meet and greet beforehand helped us (and Moose) to feel really comfortable with everything. Jess asked great questions, showing how much she cared about the visit! And we appreciated her flexibility with last minute time changes. Thank you Jess!! 🐾🐾

Jordan was outstanding. 10/10 would book with her again. She treated our cat Juniper like her own and was so thoughtful about sharing updates and taking pictures. Little Junebug was happy as a clam when we got back from our trip, her coat was shiny, and her eyes clear. And that is saying a lot since other times we have left her with cat sitters we've returned to find her scrawny and overgroomed from stress. Thank you, Jordan!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Ke while we were away for a week in Tahoe! She was incredibly easy to communicate with, and it was clear our two kitties were in such thoughtful, caring hands. We felt completely at ease knowing they were being so well looked after. We’re so grateful for the care Ke gave them and will absolutely be booking her again in the future!

Xiaomeng did such an amazing job with my cat Barnie! She was so meticulous about making sure he was eating and going to the bathroom enough, and always spent extra time playing with him. She also always uploaded so many sweet photos of him!!! This was my first time using Rover and it was an amazing experience thanks to her :)

I couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter! She took amazing care of Fuji and sent detailed updates after every visit, along with 40+ photos each time, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She paid close attention to his eating, litter box, energy level, and even noticed little things like the condition of his cat grass. It was obvious she genuinely cared for him, spending quality time playing, cuddling, and making sure he was happy. I came home to a healthy, relaxed cat, and I would absolutely book her again. Highly recommend!

Kenzi was amazing with our cat! She was very communicative and detailed in every Rover report card, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Our cat can be very aggressive with strangers and has even attacked previous nannies, but Kenzi was incredibly patient with her and also creative in distracting her while she cleaned the litter and took care of everything. By the end, our cat was trusting her enough to let her pet her sometimes, which is a HUGE deal! Kenzi was also punctual, respectful, and followed all our instructions perfectly. We will definitely book her again for future trips!

Kevin did a great job taking care of my cat while I was away. He was friendly and easy to communicate with. During our meet, he asked thoughtful questions about my cat’s routine and even small details like litter disposal, which really showed his experience and attention to detail. During each visit, he not only handled all the basics but also spent time playing with my cat, which I really appreciated. I felt totally at ease knowing she was in good hands. I would definitely book with Kevin again. Highly recommended!

Lisa took great care of my two cats! One of them is very shy and the other is super playful, but Lisa made sure both felt comfortable and gave my active cat plenty of fun playtime. This isn't the first time I've hired Lisa, but it was her first time caring for both cats together, and as always, she did a fantastic job. Highly recommend her!

Barbara is absolutely wonderful and truly goes above and beyond. She took excellent care of my cat, spent extra time with her, and kept me updated while I was away. I had complete peace of mind knowing my cat was in such caring and reliable hands. I couldn’t appreciate Barbara more and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional cat sitter!
Kathrine checked in on our cat, Hadoop, twice a day reliably. She has great communication, is very friendly, and made my older cat feel comfortable right away. She was able to give him his pills no problem and I appreciate that she asked when she had a question. Would definitely recommended her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
