About: I grew up raising puppies and have spent most of my life around big dogs. I also have experience with larger farm animals. I have 4 years of dog sitting experience since I became a working professional after college and 7 years of dog walking experience on various other apps. I have cared for and helped train puppies and have senior dog experience, including grooming, teeth brushing, nail clipping and more. I am looking to spend as much time outside with pets both for exercise and because I love animals. I am available weekdays and weekends, I work part time so will sometimes be away from the animal for 4 hours at a time. About: I have taken care of friends’ dogs throughout my graduate school, with watching dogs up to 3wks at a time providing ample walks, belly rubs, play time, baths, and comfort during their stay while balancing a busy schedule. Since finishing up school and starting career in the research sector, I have moved to SoCal with my boyfriend and our 1yr puppy (black lab + chihuahua mix). Now in a career transition, I have even more flexibility to ensure your pet is cared for like they are my own. I am currently in a career transition post my PhD in Bioengineering, and mainly at home spending time on remote work, applications, and walking our dog, Mozzi. This transition period provides a lot of free time, close eye, and dedication needed for pet care. I ensure pets are cared for by keeping a well kept home that the dog/cat cannot access anything that could put them in harm’s way (such as excess treats, unhealthy food). There are cleaning and safety supplies readily available if there is an accident. I am an extrovert & avid communicator, requesting former individualized instructions from pet owners, asking questions if anything unusual arises, and keeping owners in the loop to put them at ease. Additionally, I do not have pets of my own currently, but to provide a safe environment, I will always ask owner’s preferences on socializing their dog/cat during walks, down time, etc. to get to know the pet’s behaviors more and instill trust I will care for them respecting owner’s insights and the pet’s comforts/personality. The apartment has indoor room for a pet, and the area has plenty of trails to explore and provide exciting, safe walking adventures!

About: While I've had dogs somewhere in my life as far back as I can remember (belonging to relatives and friends), my big pet care experience started when my family got a dog of our own in 2018 (we named him Fletcher). When we got him, his foster family had mostly potty trained him, but we had to teach him other commands and house rules. In 2023, I spent a summer abroad and helped foster a couple cats, including entertaining, feeding, and cleaning litter boxes. April of Last Year, Fletcher suddenly passed from our lives and left our lives feeling quite empty indeed. Late December, we adopted another dog (named Dashi) with a very different personality than Fletcher. Dashi is very sweet but very skittish, and is much more people/"pack" oriented than treat oriented. Being a student, my hours are limited by class times. Thus, I am happy to walk or visit your dog between 8:00am-11:30am Mon-Thur, and 8:30am-5:30pm Fri and Sun. When walking dogs, I am typically one to go at the dog's comfortable pace, and will plan walk routes accordingly (although, I definitely take suggestions!). At home, I will gladly play with your dog, whether it be tug-of-war, tag, fetch, or any other game. Situation permitting, I would also be willing to take your dog on play-dates or bring my own dog (Dashi, see above) if requested. Please tell me what commands are useful for your dog, and any quirks or behaviours you want me to watch out for. While I can bring my own dog treats, I by far prefer treats that you know your dog likes and will respond to. I am not willing to take your dog off-leash in public until I am sure that your dog will return when I call.
