“Huei D did an amazing job caring for our pet Helena. She volunteered to meet with us before the appointment, took excellent pictures, and made sure Helena was well fed and well cared for during her two 30-minute visits. She was personable, conscientious, and detail-oriented, and any pet would be lucky to have her as their sitter.”

“Julia took such great care of our two kitties! She has a great personality, so warm and positive, and even her notes and pics she puts on the app each day capture this. We’re so lucky to have found her!”

About: I spoil the pets I care for. Your dog gets exercise and genuine companionship. Your cat gets a safe, entertaining environment where they’re actually the center of attention. I’ve loved my own Maltese Poodle for six years and my British Shorthair cat is basically my child, that’s the energy I bring. No rushing, no distractions. Just real care that makes your pet feel loved and comfortable while you’re away. I keep a flexible schedule and I’m selective about bookings so I can give your pet the attention they deserve. Weekdays, just give me 3 hours notice. Weekends, 24 hours ahead lets me plan properly. Your pet’s comfort and safety are everything to me! Every pet parent and pet is different, and I adapt to what works for you both. If you have a specific routine or instructions, I’ll follow them to a tee — I want your pet to feel safe and secure. Or if you’re more laid back, I’m totally happy to just give them love, attention, and great care. Either way, you can relax and actually enjoy your trip knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m clean, professional, and super communicative — you’ll get tons of photos and updates throughout, so you’re always in the loo
“Kim was our first cat sitter we’ve ever had and I am never going to look for anyone else! She was so communicative and thoughtful, and made us feel so at ease. She treated our cat as her own and went above and beyond to make sure our cat (and us) had a great experience. So grateful we found her!”

“Pouneh is awesome. She sent pictures of my cat when she got here and pics of other things I asked for. My cat likes her and I felt comfortable with her being in my home. She really loves animals. I would highly recommend her to anyone that likes attention to detail and most importantly wants great care for your animal.”

“My cats LOVE Xicheng, which speaks a thousand words. Xicheng has a calm energy that pets love and feel immediately comfortable with. She’s very thourough with the feeding and cleaning, sends helpful updates, and takes the time to play with them too. I highly recommend her!”

“Ella was very patient and kind with Bunny...which is no easy feat with my dog's abandonment and fear-aggression issues! But Ella stood her ground and made sure that Bunny received nutrition, companionship and the chance to relieve herself. Well done, Ella! And I really appreciate your communicating with me using photos and texts!”

“Nina and Leo are the best sitters you could ever work with in the area. They are friendly, always on-time, and made sure my dog Migo had everything he needed on their drop-in visits. They took the extra mile in communicating with me when I had logistical issues with accessing my house. Migo was a very happy dog when I came home. Thank you, Nina and Leo!”

About: Hi, I’m Tamer. I recently relocated to San Carlos from Phoenix, Arizona, and I’m excited to become part of the local community. I’ve been around dogs for most of my life and have more than 20 years of experience caring for family pets and helping friends and relatives with their dogs. I understand that pets are family, and I take pride in providing a safe, comfortable, and caring environment while owners are away. I offer boarding for small and medium-sized dogs and focus on giving each pet personalized attention, regular walks, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of affection. As a working professional, I value reliability, communication, and trust. I’ll provide photo updates throughout your dog’s stay so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for as if they were my own. I work a professional Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and have evenings and weekends available. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to provide regular walks, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention while pets are in my care. I recently moved to San Carlos from Phoenix, Arizona and enjoy being active and spending time outdoors. Whether your dog is staying for a weekend or a few days, my goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and stress-free experience while keeping you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a clean, pet-friendly home in San Carlos and only accept a limited number of dogs at a time so each pet receives personalized attention. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special routines provided by owners. I provide regular walks, potty breaks, and exercise while maintaining a calm and safe environment. Communication is important to me, so I send photo updates and messages throughout each stay to give owners peace of mind knowing their pet is in good hands.
About: What sets me apart is the combination of hands-on experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments, along with the level of care and attention I genuinely put into every dog I look after. I’ve worked closely with a young puppy, attending training sessions and learning how to reinforce positive behaviors and create an environment where a dog can thrive. I’m comfortable continuing training routines, maintaining structure, and helping puppies build good habits. On the other end of the spectrum, I also have experience caring for senior dogs who require extra patience and support—whether that’s assisting with mobility, following specific diets, or adapting to hearing and vision loss. I regularly dog sit for friends with very different needs, from high-energy dogs who need multiple long walks a day to older dogs who require a slower pace and more hands-on care. I’ve also cared for multiple dogs at once, making sure each one gets the individual attention they need. I pride myself on being adaptable and attentive, tailoring my care to each dog’s personality, routine, and comfort level. Beyond experience, what truly sets me apart is how deeply I care. I treat every dog like family, not just a job. I’ve even gone out of my way on multiple occasions to help neighbors find their lost dogs and have successfully helped reunite them with their owners several times. I believe it’s our responsibility to create a safe, loving, and positive environment where dogs feel relaxed, happy, and encouraged—and that’s exactly the kind of care I provide every time. I work full-time with a flexible hybrid schedule, which allows me to plan ahead one or two weeks in advance for working on site or at home. On days I go into the office, I can take pups on walks in the early morning or evening. I’m fully available for boarding on weekends, and depending on my work schedule, I can also offer overnight boarding during the week. I do my best to be flexible and accommodate each dog’s routine—whether that means early morning walks, regular potty breaks, or sticking closely to their usual schedule. If your pup is used to a 7am walk, I’m more than happy to start the day early to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I prioritize creating a safe, clean, and comfortable environment that helps every dog feel at ease, whether they’re in my home or their own. In my home, I have a private, fenced backyard that’s only accessible through my apartment, so your dog can safely enjoy fresh air. It’s partially covered as well, providing some protection from rain. Inside, I keep my space clean and dog-friendly, with cushioned area rugs to prevent slipping and give dogs a comfortable place to walk, play, or relax. I also provide cozy blankets and an outdoor dog bed so they have options for resting wherever they feel most comfortable. Cleanliness and routine are very important to me—I wash food bowls after each use and refresh water bowls daily. Dogs are welcome on my furniture, but I always respect and follow your home rules to maintain consistency. If your dog isn’t allowed on furniture, I will reinforce those same boundaries. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m very respectful of their space and attentive to instructions. I carefully follow all provided routines, house rules, and notes to ensure your dog experiences as much consistency and comfort as possible while you’re away.
About: I’ve always been around dogs and have a dog of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet. I also have experience caring for a dog with seizures, which taught me to stay calm, attentive, and responsive to a pet’s needs. I treat every pet like family and make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. 🐾❤️ I’m currently on a flexible summer schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care and their needs. I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. In a client’s home, I’ll make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages. I always treat both pets and homes with care and respect. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience while you’re away. 🐾❤️
“Angelica took such great care of our dog while we were away. From start to finish, everything went smoothly and gave us real peace of mind. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly attentive to our dog’s needs.”

You’ll never have to wonder how your pet is doing. We also recommend a meet & greet prior to boarding to ensure we’re a great fit and that your dog feels comfortable in our home.
“Thien-Nha is absolutely wonderful and I’m so lucky to have found her. She’s reliable, responsive, and incredibly kind. Even my super shy kitty came out of hiding to say hello when Thien-Nha came over. I feel she really goes above and beyond for our pets and that is simply invaluable. Will definitely hire her again for our next trip.”

About: Hello! My name is Mon, and I work in (human) healthcare. I'm taking some time off to complete my board exams, and I would love to help out with your pet's needs during that time! I worked as a vet tech years ago past and have also owned a variety of critters, including a special-needs chihuahua and a very active pitbull mix. At the moment, I have a very sweet orange cat named Moosh-Moosh, and have had experience pet-sitting for a variety of animals and personalities. I'm currently taking time off (until September 2026) to study for boards, so I'm very flexible during the day time on weekdays from 9am to 6pm. I have an indoor-only cat with a courtyard that is frequented by many outdoor cats, so I'm constantly vigilant about ways to keep everyone safe! I've also worked with reactive dogs as a vet tech, and am mindful about how to take them on walks and stay alert.

Julia is the best! It was such a relief to know that she was taking care of my two cats. She was very reliable, flexible, and communicative. She was super on top of the schedule and helped me manage my short-term booking that I hadn’t requested correctly. On top of that, her love of animals and joy about taking care of my cats made such a big difference. I will definitely check Julia’s availability next time I go out of town!

This was my second time having Leonie care for my cats, and once again she was absolutely wonderful. My girls remembered her right away, which says so much about the kindness and care she shows them. I was away on a solo backpacking trip with little to no cell service for several days, so having someone I could completely trust gave me incredible peace of mind. Even when I couldn’t check my phone, I never worried because I knew my cats were safe, loved, and well cared for. She truly goes above and beyond in every way. She’s reliable, thoughtful, communicative, and genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. It’s rare to find someone with that level of commitment, and I feel so lucky to have found her. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional pet sitter. Having Leonie as a cat sitter make me excited now about going away, since I know my cats have someone who can look after them properly.

Alex is a phenomenal pet sitter! I booked him for drop-in visit for my cat, El Gato, and he exceeded all expectations. He was highly communicative, incredibly punctual, and clearly has a natural gift with animals. El Gato can be very selective and a bit difficult with new people, but he warmed up to Alex immediately and genuinely enjoyed his visit. Alex made sure to send great updates and great pictures, giving me total peace of mind while I was away. If you want a sitter who will genuinely care for your pet and treat them like family, look no further than Alex. I will be booking with him again!

Morgan is our *go-to* when we’re traveling & our crew loves seeing her! Even our cat (who often doesn’t come out when we have guests) comes out to say hello & show her playful side when Morgan comes by. Always grateful to have Morgan care for them & will continue to have her come by when we need her.

Nora was amazing! Prompt communicator, very trustworthy, kind, and has such a great energy for dogs. I have never left my dogs with anyone because I’m so nervous to, but after having Nora watch my pups this week I would trust her a thousand times to watch them again. Definitely go with Nora if you’re looking for an amazing human to watch your dog babies!!!

Marilyn is the absolute best! We have a senior kitty named Zelda who is on a daily medication. Right before we left for an international trip we needed to find someone quickly who felt comfortable giving a senior kitty medication, but would also help give her the love and attention she needed while we were gone for an extra long trip. Marilyn had no fear and quickly picked up the task! Marilyn was very knowledgeable on the medication and found ways to help give Zelda the medication comfortably. She also sent us so many amazing photos and daily reports so I knew exactly how Zelda was doing. Marilyn is simply one of the best humans and we will definitely be booking again with her in the future!

Lauren came highly recommended by our regular pet sitter when she wasn’t available, and that recommendation stands true. Lauren is a great communicator, took great care of Chicken Nugget, and embraced his quirky personality. She also went above and beyond to keep our house clean and tidy. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her services in the future!

Julissa is wonderful! She took good care of my cat’s needs while we were away. Our cat is shy that he always hid away when strangers were in the house. But surprisingly he came to greet Julissa when she visited and even stayed close to her the entire time! That was the FIRST TIME we’ve ever seen! So she must have some magic that could make our cat very comfortable. Will rebook in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
