“Highly recommend Jas! Every visit has been so easy and the updates we get are super informative. We had an issue where our cat had a hairball (typical!) and Jas let us know promptly and gave us feeding updates as the cat recovered. Great professionalism and feedback!”

About: Dogs have been an important part of my life for more than 30 years. I’ve raised and cared for dogs from puppyhood through their senior years, including two Labrador Retrievers and a Labradoodle. My second Labrador was a Guide Dog in training who ultimately left the program due to potential physical issues. After she passed away, I became a volunteer with a local Guide Dogs for the Blind puppy-raising club and am an authorized puppy sitter. Through this experience, I’ve cared for puppies in training and understand the importance of consistency, patience, following training guidelines, and paying close attention to a dog’s behavior and needs. I also have extensive experience caring for senior dogs, including dogs requiring special diets, medication, and additional attention. I’m comfortable adapting to different routines and providing individualized care based on each dog’s needs. I’m also familiar with the general grooming and routine care that dogs need, including brushing, nail care, teeth brushing, and basic coat trimming. Most importantly, I enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for. I work from home, so I have a flexible schedule that allows me to fit pet care into my day. While I do have occasional work meetings, I'm able to plan walks, visits, and other care around them. My evenings are generally free, and I have additional flexibility on weekends. I enjoy having a reason to step away from my desk during the day and spend some time with a dog or cat. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I follow each owner's instructions closely and make sure their pet's normal routine is maintained as much as possible, including feeding, medications, walks, and other special needs. I’m attentive to doors, gates, and other potential escape routes, and I make sure pets are supervised appropriately when outside. I’m also respectful of my client’s home and understand that I’m being trusted with more than just their pet. I’ll keep things clean and secure and communicate with the owner if anything unusual comes up.

“I had an ant problem unfortunately and Nina & Leo took care of it as well as taking great care of my cat. I was able to return home to the ant problem solved and a happy cat. I was able to enjoy my time away. I thoroughly trust & recommend them.”

About: What sets me apart is the combination of hands-on experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments, along with the level of care and attention I genuinely put into every dog I look after. I’ve worked closely with a young puppy, attending training sessions and learning how to reinforce positive behaviors and create an environment where a dog can thrive. I’m comfortable continuing training routines, maintaining structure, and helping puppies build good habits. On the other end of the spectrum, I also have experience caring for senior dogs who require extra patience and support—whether that’s assisting with mobility, following specific diets, or adapting to hearing and vision loss. I regularly dog sit for friends with very different needs, from high-energy dogs who need multiple long walks a day to older dogs who require a slower pace and more hands-on care. I’ve also cared for multiple dogs at once, making sure each one gets the individual attention they need. I pride myself on being adaptable and attentive, tailoring my care to each dog’s personality, routine, and comfort level. Beyond experience, what truly sets me apart is how deeply I care. I treat every dog like family, not just a job. I’ve even gone out of my way on multiple occasions to help neighbors find their lost dogs and have successfully helped reunite them with their owners several times. I believe it’s our responsibility to create a safe, loving, and positive environment where dogs feel relaxed, happy, and encouraged—and that’s exactly the kind of care I provide every time. I work full-time with a flexible hybrid schedule, which allows me to plan ahead one or two weeks in advance for working on site or at home. On weekdays, I can take pups on walks in the early morning or evening, while afternoon walks can be scheduled on a week-by-week basis depending on my on-site work schedule. I’m fully available for boarding on weekends, and depending on my work schedule, I can also offer overnight boarding during the week. I do my best to be flexible and accommodate each dog’s routine—whether that means early morning walks, regular potty breaks, or sticking closely to their usual schedule. If your pup is used to a 7am walk, I’m more than happy to start the day early to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I prioritize creating a safe, clean, and comfortable environment that helps every dog feel at ease, whether they’re in my home or their own. In my home, I have a private, fenced backyard that’s only accessible through my apartment, so your dog can safely enjoy fresh air. It’s partially covered as well, providing some protection from rain. Inside, I keep my space clean and dog-friendly, with cushioned area rugs to prevent slipping and give dogs a comfortable place to walk, play, or relax. I also provide cozy blankets and an outdoor dog bed so they have options for resting wherever they feel most comfortable. Cleanliness and routine are very important to me—I wash food bowls after each use and refresh water bowls throughout the day. Dogs are welcome on my furniture, but I always respect and follow your home rules to maintain consistency. If your dog isn’t allowed on furniture, I will reinforce those same boundaries. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m very respectful of their space and attentive to instructions. I carefully follow all provided routines, house rules, and notes to ensure your dog experiences as much consistency and comfort as possible while you’re away.

“Julia is the best Cat Sitter ever! She is a joy to communicate with, very mature, thorough and lovely. She seems to love the details of taking care of my cats and is attentive and remembers everything. She loves the animals and sends great reports that let you know she has really spent time with them. I was away for over 2 weeks and was deeply concerned my hyper attached Bengal would stop eating. But no problem. Julia Rocks! I'd like to keep her my secret but she deserves the report!”

About: Since I was a child I always had dogs with me, I think they are the noblest creatures in the world and they deserve exceptional life and care, my dog's name is Clyde he is a super dog, he has a great level of intelligence, he is a really polite and happy dog. I believe that having a job like this one is more than PRRRRFECT 😍! I'm the type of person that if I walk and see someone walking a dog I make eye contact with the dog first than with his human. Patience is one of my main characteristics when we talk about dogs, I have always thought that I have a natural connection with them, they give me confidence and I inspire confidence to them. I am currently a student at Foothill College, so Rover is the perfect opportunity for me to balance my class and homework schedule while earning some extra income. My schedule is pretty flexible since I'm only taking one class at the moment. I'm available for house sitting and dog walking services. Since I live in a small space, I'm not able to offer boarding, but I'm happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home or take them on walks. I also have a 15-years-old dog who has been my loyal companion and best friend for many years. Caring for him has taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and attentive pet care. Looking after animals, including my own, is one of my top priorities, and I'll treat your pet with the same love and care I give to mine.
“I was super anxious about leaving my kitties alone for the first time, especially as one just got an ear infection and needed medication, but Zolfar was amazing! Super responsive, really looked out for their wellbeing, and even administered the medicine exactly as needed. Came back home to two perfectly healthy kittens :)”

“Alexa was responsible and detailed oriented. I booked a drop in visit and came back home to a happy and fulfilled dog! She was also great at understanding my reactive puppy and keeping him safe. I would recommend her and also book her again.”

About: Does your doggo need a stay-at-home auntie in its life? Get ready for lots of photos and updates because your babies will get 24-7 attention at Casa de Barbara. ** I am a work-from-home writer/editor, and my husband is a scientist working in biotech. Aside from our very friendly poodle mutt (pictured in profile), the last member of our household is our daughter. She is great with dogs, having grown up learning how to nicely pet our pup. ** Some of the dogs that I have watched over the years have been coming to me longer than I’ve known my husband. We look forward to adding yours to the pack! ** Outside, your pet will get minimum 3 walks and/or off-leash time at a dog park. Inside, we will nap together in between rounds of fetch. ** My family is what you might consider perfect for your dog’s stay: pretty boring! 🤣 We don’t go out much, and if we do, we don’t stay out late. ***

About: I’ve had experience caring for and spending time with both small and large dogs, including dogs belonging to family and friends. I’ve also provided overnight care for a senior dog, which included following a medication schedule and making sure they received their food properly. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs, routines, and personality, and I’m excited to provide reliable, loving care. I especially enjoy spending time with dogs and would love the opportunity to take them on walks, give them plenty of attention, and help them feel happy and comfortable while you’re away! I recently finished college and will be starting a full-time job, so I’m looking to provide pet care during my available hours. I’m especially interested in morning dog walks or drop-in visits around 5–6 AM, as well as afternoon availability after work. Other than that I can work weekends but open to accommodate any hours for specific needs. I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and provide dependable, loving care while you’re away! I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. Once again, Yifan was great with my cat Rhys! I appreciate her attention to detail and her thorough report cards! I enjoyed reading them each evening while away and seeing photos of Rhys. Thank you again Yifan for your thoughtful care of both Rhys and my place!

Chriss was amazing with our two cats! They loved her and she did so well playing with them. Her Rover report cards were super detailed and she sent absolutely adorable photos of the cats. We were so happy knowing they were in good hands and will definitely book her again and recommend anyone else book her as well!
Leonie was absolutely wonderful! She accepted my booking at the last minute, which was such a huge relief, and took amazing care of my cats while I was away. One of my cats has hyperthyroidism, so it meant a lot to know she was being well cared for and closely looked after. Leonie kept me updated with pictures , was reliable, and gave me complete peace of mind. I came home to happy, well-cared-for cats, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. I highly recommend Leonie to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you so much!

Nicole looked after our 9 year old German Shepherd. We are very happy with the care she provided. She understood his needs and was super responsible about his care. She gave detailed updates about him. She also takes the best pictures or our dog.Very happy and will use Nicole again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
