About: Growing up with dogs has given me years of hands-on experience understanding different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I currently have an 8 year old golden retriever of my own, so caring for dogs is naturally part of my everyday life. I genuinely love being around animals and always make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away. What sets me apart is that I treat every pet like they are my own. I pay close attention to their behavior, routines, and comfort level so they get personalized care instead of just being “watched.” I’m also very patient with high-energy dogs and understand the importance of consistency, exercise, and positive interactions. Whether it’s walks, playtime, sticking to feeding schedules, or giving extra attention to anxious pets, I make sure each dog gets the care they need. I’m currently a college student who is home for summer break, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets attention and care throughout the day! I’m available for walks or drop-ins during weekdays at any time, and I have open availability on most weekends. Since I already have a dog of my own, pet care is naturally built into my daily routine, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that’s going on walks, playing, or just keeping them company. I always prioritize making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, whether I’m in my home or a client’s home. I pay close attention to each dog’s routine, personality, and needs so they can stay as stress-free as possible while their owner is away. I make sure pets get plenty of supervision, exercise, playtime, and affection, while also sticking to feeding schedules and any instructions provided by the owner. Growing up around dogs and having a golden retriever of my own has taught me how important patience, trust, and consistency are when caring for animals.
“Buffy is awesome, she’s on the ball and makes me feel like my cat is totally taken care of when I’m away. This is my second time booking with her and I’ll be doing it again for my next trip if she’s available!”

“Julissa took such great care of our kitties while we were away! She was on time, attentive, and really took the time to engage with our kitties. Would recommend her to anyone!”

“Heleen took amazing care of our kitties. She is very kind, flexible and super fun to communicate with. One of our kitties got an ear infection the day before our trip and she was willing to give his medicine while we were away. It was a relief knowing our kitties were in good hands! Heleen has taken care of our kitties several times. We are happy to continue with her and highly recommend her to care for your pets.”

About: What sets me apart is the combination of hands-on experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments, along with the level of care and attention I genuinely put into every dog I look after. I’ve worked closely with a young puppy, attending training sessions and learning how to reinforce positive behaviors and create an environment where a dog can thrive. I’m comfortable continuing training routines, maintaining structure, and helping puppies build good habits. On the other end of the spectrum, I also have experience caring for senior dogs who require extra patience and support—whether that’s assisting with mobility, following specific diets, or adapting to hearing and vision loss. I regularly dog sit for friends with very different needs, from high-energy dogs who need multiple long walks a day to older dogs who require a slower pace and more hands-on care. I’ve also cared for multiple dogs at once, making sure each one gets the individual attention they need. I pride myself on being adaptable and attentive, tailoring my care to each dog’s personality, routine, and comfort level. Beyond experience, what truly sets me apart is how deeply I care. I treat every dog like family, not just a job. I’ve even gone out of my way on multiple occasions to help neighbors find their lost dogs and have successfully helped reunite them with their owners several times. I believe it’s our responsibility to create a safe, loving, and positive environment where dogs feel relaxed, happy, and encouraged—and that’s exactly the kind of care I provide every time. I work full-time with a flexible hybrid schedule, which allows me to spend a good amount of time at home. On days I go into the office, it’s often only for part of the day, so I’m able to be home for the rest of it. I’m fully available for boarding on weekends, and depending on my work schedule, I can also offer overnight boarding during the week. I do my best to be flexible and accommodate each dog’s routine—whether that means early morning walks, regular potty breaks, or sticking closely to their usual schedule. If your pup is used to a 7am walk, I’m more than happy to start the day early to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I prioritize creating a safe, clean, and comfortable environment that helps every dog feel at ease, whether they’re in my home or their own. In my home, I have a private, fenced backyard that’s only accessible through my apartment, so your dog can safely enjoy fresh air. It’s partially covered as well, providing some protection from rain. Inside, I keep my space clean and dog-friendly, with cushioned area rugs to prevent slipping and give dogs a comfortable place to walk, play, or relax. I also provide cozy blankets and an outdoor dog bed so they have options for resting wherever they feel most comfortable. Cleanliness and routine are very important to me—I wash food bowls after each use and refresh water bowls daily. Dogs are welcome on my furniture, but I always respect and follow your home rules to maintain consistency. If your dog isn’t allowed on furniture, I will reinforce those same boundaries. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m very respectful of their space and attentive to instructions. I carefully follow all provided routines, house rules, and notes to ensure your dog experiences as much consistency and comfort as possible while you’re away.

About: I have a genuine love for all animals! I’ve had two dogs in the past. One I cared for until his last day and the other I took in as a puppy and whom I treat as part of the family. I’ve also had the privilege to bring home a foster kitten, which was such a gratifying experience. I am loving, patient and calm and I’m sure your pet will feel at ease with me. I look forward to meeting and spending time with your beloved fur babies! 🐶🐱 During the day, I work at a local school, so I can only take appointments until 4pm. Weekends I’m free and have more flexibility! During the summer, I will be available mornings and afternoons. Go ahead and send me a message if you with your preferred time and I will try to accommodate. 😉 I live in a small apartment, so preferably it would be best to watchyour pet at your home. So if you’re looking for a responsible, trustworthy pet sitter, I’d be willing to stay overnight and ensure your doggie or kitty is well taken cared of! ❤️🏡

About: From childhood to present, I’ve had dogs at home, as well as living near a dog park at my local elementary school, so being near puppies and bigger, older dogs alike is nothing new. I always get excited to meet new dogs, as I’m able to adapt my communication style to theirs to allow all to feel comfortable. Whether you’ve got a small, large, young, or older dog, I would be happy to ensure they continue to thrive in my care! I’m currently working part time in Palo Alto, so I have a lot of flexibility on week days, but would be happy to communicate to accommodate you into my schedule when possible. My home has always belonged to my pets, and I’m lucky they let me stick around! My goal is to make sure you breathe easily knowing your pet is safe and happy while I’m taking care of them, and I look forward to meeting you both!
“Rong was super sweet and really attentive with Stella. Stella usually takes a while to warm up to people, but she seemed very comfortable with Rong right away. Rong also paid attention to the little things around the apartment and kept me updated, which I really appreciated. Would definitely book with her again.”

About: We are a couple who genuinely love animals and enjoy caring for them together. Mike grew up with a Golden Retriever named Lady and understands how to handle and care for dogs with patience and love. Lady spent her happy senior years together with our family, which gave us a lot of experience caring for an aging dog as well. Evie grew up with a Shih Tzu named Mashiro and was deeply involved in her care. Living with Mashiro taught them how sensitive and loving dogs are, and how important it is to provide gentle attention, patience, and a calm environment. We have already been caring for pets for some time and have built relationships with several private clients outside of Rover. Recently, we decided to join Rover to meet more wonderful pets and families in the community. We are always happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. We also enjoy being active, so dogs with lots of energy are absolutely welcome. Long walks, playtime, and exercise are no problem for us. We have a bicycle, which can be great for very active dogs that enjoy running. We treat every pet as if they were our own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. We have a flexible schedule and are able to spend plenty of time caring for pets throughout the day. Evie is usually at home, which allows us to give pets consistent attention, walks, and playtime. We are available for boarding on weekdays and weekends and are happy to accommodate your pet’s normal routine as much as possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. We provide a calm, clean, and safe environment where pets can relax and feel at home. We always pay close attention to each pet’s personality and needs, and we follow the owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding, walks, and routines. We are also happy to send regular photo and video updates so you can feel reassured while you’re away.
“Criss always takes such great care of our cats! They are normally hesitant around others, but not with her. She sends really nice photos of them during her visits and you can tell how much they like her. That says a lot! Highly recommend her if you need care for your fur babies.”

“Elizabeth was very helpful and responsive, even with the sudden schedule change. She followed all of my instructions carefully while taking care of my dog, and I’m sure Koimo had a great time with her. She was a huge help. Thank you so much!”

About: I’ve been around dogs and horses since I was 12 and trained our family dog (American Bully/Siberian Husky mix) from when he was a three month old puppy. Over the past couple years I have volunteered at shelters with all types of sizes, temperaments, and breeds of dogs, and I have experience with large animals beyond dogs as well after spending over two years working with horses at a lesson barn. I am a college sophomore majoring in biology currently working at my school’s Arabian Horse Center, and I plan on working with animals in the future and am always looking for ways to make animals a bigger part of my life and to spend time doing what I love most by taking care of them. :) I am currently a student at Cal Poly Pomona with a good amount of free time outside classes that I would love to put towards doing something I love! On most weekdays and Saturdays I am able to offer walks and drop-ins early mornings, and am typically available any day for late afternoons/evenings. I can offer enrichment, walks, exercise, assist with basic training, and give care to pets in your home when you have to step outside of your home and want to ensure your pet is safe and happy in your absence.
Redwood Shores pet parents share their Rover experiences
Angelica is AWESOME!!! She took care of my newly adopted cat twice during a day when I was away all day. It was so great to get the photos and text each visit. My cat Sadie loved playing with her!! Sadie ate and drank water while Angelica was at my house, showing me how comfortable she was with her. Angelica had a huge heart and I feel blessed she took care my sweet Sadie!💛 P.s. Angelica is a 10 star pet sitter and human being !!!
I booked Criss for the first time while I went on vacation for a week. I was so anxious about leaving my 2 kitties for so long, especially bc one of my cats is very timid and still doesn't come out even when my mom visits, but she came out for Criss and warmed up to her by the end of the week! I appreciate all of the photos and detailed summaries at the end of the visits and seeing how much care she put into her visits with them. Criss made my trip so much less stressful knowing my babies were in great hands!

I wanted to share a review about a longer booking for my mildly undersocialized cat, Cali. I had a mandatory >2-week trip away from her that was really pushing my comfort zone and weighing on me, and Bo went above and beyond in ensuring that Cali felt safe and loved during this time. This obviously made my life so much easier as well! Thank you, Bo, for being a trusted partner to furry friends and their anxious owners alike!
