“Our puppy had his first ever day away from home and he had a blast, making friends and having new experiences. Which I know because Jenisa sent us a bunch of pictures of his day. He came home tired and happy! Will definitely be back!”

“Ruo took great care of my doggy Tsuki. Very attentive to her needs and was able to adjust to our scheduling. Tsuki enjoyed plenty of fun outside time and love from her family. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve always been someone who naturally loves being around animals. I grew up with two dogs in my family and later had my own cat, who was a huge part of my life. What I love most about pets is how they give back even more love when you show them love. Their pure trust, kindness, and affection mean so much to me. I enjoy spending time with them, getting to know their personalities, and making sure they feel safe and cared for. I understand that every pet is different—some want lots of attention and playtime, while others prefer their own space and a calm companion. As a pet owner, I completely understand the anxiety of leaving your loved one at home, and I want to help ease that worry. While I may not be the most professional sitter, I can guarantee that I will treat your pet the same way I would want my own to be treated—with patience, care, and genuine love. Your baby will definitely be in good hands with me. I work part-time as a project manager, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to spend with your pet and give them the attention they deserve. I have a yard for curious pets to explore, and I live in a quiet, pet-friendly neighborhood where almost every family seems to have a cat or dog! There are also nearby trails where I can take your dog for a run if they’re energetic, or simply enjoy a relaxing walk at their own pace. I currently don’t have any pets or kids at home, so my home is a quiet and comfortable space, especially for pets who may need a little extra time to adjust. Cats and dogs are absolutely welcome on the furniture and, of course, cuddles are always welcome! ❤️ I want your pet to feel at home and will treat them with the same care and love I would want for my own.
“Pouneh is wonderful! From the beginning, she responded to my messages right away. We did an initial meet and greet at the local park. Nana immediately took to her and her daughters! I knew Nana would be happy and in good hands. Drop off and pick ups: I need to do an early drop off and it’s been super smooth. It’s easy to park in front and get Nana out safely and since we arranged that I send my ETA, Pouneh was already waiting outside ready to take her. Picking her up was also super easy. I texted ETA and she had everything ready with Nana. Again, parking was easy and available in front. Pouneh is very experienced and patient with dogs. She also has extra supplies like bowls, blankets, towels, leashes, etc., making it easier with less things to lug around. Nana looked so relaxed and happy when I picked her up that first day and each day since. I am happy to recommend Pouneh to anyone for doggie care and I will for sure rebook whenever I need an extra hand. Lastly, props to Rover as well. This is a great service and I don’t know what I’d do without it. I’ve always found great people here with sometimes short notice.”

“Zhenting and her family are so friendly and caring. Today was the first day I sent my dogs to daycare and I was very nervous about it but they had a good time with Zhenting! She sends me pictures and messages frequently throughout the day. Very mindful and lovely family!”

About: Having raised my own puppy and dogsat for friends with anxious pups, I'm well versed in how to provide for a pup's full time needs. I can also provide puppy training in house manners (for example: waiting patiently to be fed, waiting at doors, simple commands). My care and attention to my own puppy, Chef, is full time and I am super excited to share that with your pup. We can go on excursions or hang around the house or play fetch at the dogpark. Whatever your pup is up for. I have a fenced yard and a friendly pup for your pup(s) to play with! And if your pup doesn't want company for whatever reason, I have gates and crates to make sure they are safe and happy in their own space. Feel free to request photos/videos and check in anytime for updates.
About: We became dog owner when a 8 weeks gold golden retriever joined our lives, and we quickly learned how to become a responsible dog parents. After her passing in 2021, we realized life is too short to live without a furry family member. So we brought a golden doodle puppy, Kuli, to join our lives. We are looking to help and support other 4 legs friends. Because we are either take care of all pups together or rotate, we never left them alone without human monitoring for even a single minute to make sure they are safe and have company. We currently take Kuli out for walk 3-4 times a day (weather permitted), and includes a fetching session for 30-60 min in the late afternoon. We also have web cam in our home. We provide organic carrot, sweet potato, or fruits for snacks. We have a fenced backyard, and we were dog parents for more than 10 years now. We had been to dog training classes, and know how to handle dogs in the park, hikes, and other social situation. We know that dogs need enough exercise, not just walking.
“Ivy and Zach were so great with my frenchie, Bentley! I needed a day sitter at the last minute and they were highly responsive, very accommodating to my schedule, and took Bentley out multiple times that day. Would definitely book them again.”

“Annie is great! She is professional and experienced. She took great care of our dog, and he immediately bonded with the pack. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy who will treat your pet like their own (and send great photo updates), Annie is the one. We’ll definitely book with her again.”

“Torivia was absolutely wonderful! Sophie loved spending time with her. She was so communicative and kept us updated with lots of photos and messages, which we really appreciated and made us feel so at ease. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her!”

“Alissa was so sweet! She accommodated our last minute booking due to an urgent need and I felt so lucky that we found her! She also took amazing pictures of my dog ?❤️ We'd have definitely gone to Alissa again if we didn't move out of Seattle. Highly recommended!”

“My dog really loves Kimberlin. On the very first day when I picked up my dog from daycare, he went to Kimberlin and he was saying goodbye. He doesn’t usually do that to anybody especially on the first day of daycare. Kimberlin made sure that my dog was well taken cared of and she gave me updates throughout the day. Kimberlin is very gentle and kind to my dog. I highly recommend her and I am grateful that I found her.”

About: I have a Samoyed x Standard Poodle at home, so I am very comfortable handling and caring for larger breeds! I have also cared for various dogs within my family so I are experienced with smaller dogs and different breeds. And since I work from home full time, you can expect frequent photo and video updates throughout the day so you always know your pup is happy and well looked after! I work from home full time, so your dog will never be left alone. Since I have our own dog, I already do two walks a day — so your pup will definitely be getting out and about! I have my own friendly dog at home who loves meeting new friends — he gets along great with dogs of all sizes and breeds, so your pup will always have a playmate! I also have enrichment toys and lick mats on hand to keep them stimulated and entertained.
“Absolutely terrific sitter/walker!!!! ? Pinya was so nice, professional and clearly adores animals and knows how to care for them. I could tell my dog loved his stay. I would definitely recommend Pinya to care for your furry loved one! Thanks again Pinya!!!”

About: I know how incredibly hard it is to leave your beloved pet with someone else.I’m a pet parent too, and every time I travel, I know that little feeling in the pit of your stomach; the wondering if they’re okay, if they’re eating, if they’re happy, if they’re being loved the way you love them. And it’s not just your pets you’re trusting someone with. It’s also your home, your safe place. That’s why I care for every pet as if they were my own, and every home with the same respect and responsibility I’d want for mine. If your pet could choose their sitter, they’d probably pick someone who speaks their language, the language of belly rubs, patience, calm energy, and the occasional embarrassingly squeaky voice in public. Luckily for them… that’s me. My goal is simple: I want you to truly enjoy your time away, knowing your pet is safe, loved, and in caring hands. You’ll never have to wonder how they’re doing because I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos, videos, and little stories from our day together. Animals have been the biggest part of my life for over 18 years. Before moving to the U.S., I worked at a veterinary clinic in Poland, where I gained hands-on experience caring for animals and assisting with treatments. I’m also certified in dog training, and I genuinely love learning about animal behavior and understanding what each individual pet needs to feel safe and comfortable. At home, I’m the proud pet parent of one very spoiled Australian Shepherd, Bowie, and three rescue cats. They remind me every day that every animal is different, and that’s exactly what I love. Some dogs want long adventures, others just want a slow walk with plenty of time to sniff every blade of grass. Some cats will curl up in your lap the moment you arrive, while others need a little patience before deciding you’re worthy of their company. I’m happy to meet every pet exactly where they are. Through years of rescue work and fostering, I’ve also become comfortable administering medications, caring for shy or anxious pets, and noticing when something just doesn’t seem right. I intentionally keep my schedule balanced so every pet gets the time, attention, and genuine care they deserve. When I’m with your pet, they’re my priority. One of the most meaningful parts of this work is that every booking helps more than one animal. A portion of my earnings goes directly back into rescue work, helping foster kittens receive medical care and find the loving homes they deserve. 🐾 I know I’m not just caring for your pet, I’m caring for someone you love. And that’s a responsibility I’ll never take lightly. I have a pretty flexible schedule since I work as a photographer and also foster cats. That means I can usually accommodate mid-day visits, evenings, and even last-minute requests. I’m used to working around different routines and happy to be flexible to fit your pet’s needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. I’m calm, attentive, and very mindful of routines, doors, leashes, and home rules. With my background in fostering and veterinary care, I’m quick to notice changes in behavior or health and will always communicate clearly if anything feels off. I respect your home as much as your pet and aim to create a calm, low-stress environment where your animal feels safe and cared for — just like they would with you.
“Love booking with Michael! So attentive to our dogs needs and gives us heads up if any other dogs are staying with him so we can plan accordingly. Highly recommend!”

Torivia was amazing with Kaia! From the moment we met her, I knew Kaia was in great hands. She was kind, communicative, and clearly cared about making sure Kaia was happy and comfortable. Kaia absolutely loved her, and it gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was being so well cared for while I was at work. I could tell Kaia was getting lots of love and attention. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Torivia again, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their pet!

Kimberlin was amazing with Shiro! She’s extremely sweet, loving, and was really flexible with my schedule requests. She took such great care of my puppy, and Shiro absolutely loved spending time with her. You can 100% rely on her for your pet care needs — highly recommend!

The absolute best! Sarah is a miracle worker. 🌟 I cannot recommend Sarah enough! My dog, Hotpot, a Shiba Inu, is definitely not the easiest pup to handle. He has historically struggled with resource guarding and gets highly agitated around food. I was naturally nervous about leaving him, but Sarah managed him with so much patience, care, and expertise. Under her care, Hotpot has made incredible progress: • Better Manners: He is now way more patient, especially around meal times. • Socialization: He actually learned how to play and peacefully coexist with other dogs! Seeing him thrive and grow under her care was the best feeling. If you want a sitter who genuinely cares and knows how to handle complex dog behaviors, Sarah is the one!
Kristen, Michael, the two little ones and their pup were absolutely wonderful for me and my pup! I was so appreciative for them to approve a last minute request and truly got so lucky! There’s a wonderful fenced front yard and back yard and my fur baby immediately felt at home and enjoyed walks, lots of play, and even cuddles. So thankful ❤️

Archer had SO much fun. I've never seen him at home so exhausted 🤣 He passed out in his crate 10 minutes after getting home from pick up. Thank you, Heidi! She and her bf took great care of Archer on our behalf. We were very worried about his first Rover but they made it feel like such a breeze. Appreciate your help!

Annie is great! She is professional and experienced. She took great care of our dog, and he immediately bonded with the pack. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy who will treat your pet like their own (and send great photo updates), Annie is the one. We’ll definitely book with her again.

Bradley took such amazing care of Zeus today! He came home so happy and completely worn out from the long walks, which says everything about the attention and exercise he got. It’s clear Bradley really cares and goes above and beyond. I felt totally at ease knowing Zeus was in such great hands—highly recommend!

Very prompt responses on communication. Was just a brief dog sitting for a couple hours but Henry was a good tired boy when he came back to us! He’s a little anxious about walking in new places and without both his mom & dad so we appreciate you doing his fav sprints on the grass near your place to make sure he got his exercise!

Julissa took excellent care of our dog, Sopita. Although our dog is a bit shy, Julissa did a great job at making her feel comfortable and enjoy her time at daycare. She also shared pictures of her settling in and on a walk which put us at ease. Would definitely recommend!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Redwood Shores commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
