About: I've been around animals almost my whole life. I volunteered at an animal shelter in high school, have had cats of my own since 2013, pet sat cats and dogs for friends and family, and have had experience raising kittens as well as experience in TNR. Starting in late August I will be unable to visit your pet between 8am-12:30pm during the week as I am a part time preschool teacher. However, I can spend all weekend taking care of your pet. Even though I am working part time, I am more than happy to spend as much time as possible with your pet when you're not able to so they have company until you return home! As a life long animal lover, I understand pets are more than just an animal, but they're part of the family. I take time to get to know each pet and will do all I can to ensure that they are always safe in my care, whether during a walk or pet sitting in your home.

“Patrycja is truly a one-in-a-million person. She is professional, kind, and has a genuine love for animals. I feel incredibly lucky to have met her, and my dog absolutely adores her. I highly recommend her for any of your animal needs — you would be lucky to have her caring for your pets.”

“Linda (Xiangling) was wonderful with my dog. She took extra care and time with him to make sure he was comfortable and safe. She checked in with me and reported many details. Her kindness really helped my dog stay happy while I was gone.”

About: I've had pet rabbits since I was four years old, and I currently have an adorable rex rabbit named Louie who loves snuggles and attention. I have taken care of other rabbits, dogs, and cats! I am currently pursuing studies in veterinary medicine, and have a passion for working with and caring for all animals. If you want to someone to give your pet the love, attention, and care they need while you're away, I am more than happy to watch after your furry friend. I'm currently on break between my undergraduate and vet school, so I have plenty of time to make sure your pet gets the attention they need! All you have to do is tell me what your pets needs are, and I will make sure that they are cared for. Your pet's safety is of the upmost importance. When I am looking after your pet and/or your home, I will make sure to strictly adhere to whatever directions you provide and make sure that your furry friend is kept safe.
“Alicia is amazing. Kylo loves his walks with her and she is so detailed and considerate in her notes of the walks and her care which really puts you at ease having to be away from your pet. I appreciate her always checking his water bowl and communicating if he’s had treats that day. (Spoiled guy) I always know my pup was taken care of when in Alicia’s care and look forward to booking her in the future!”

“Nicol is a great, sweet and kind care-taker to Pekoe!! She sent very detailed updates regarding walk and so many pictures which I loveeee! Will definitely book again when my furchild needs someone to walk/drop in for a day or two.”

About: I grew up helping my grandpa on his ranch and now as an adult my dog is my bestfriend I thank him everyday for my love for animals! I work 100% remote and would love to have another furry coworker! Also big into running so I’m looking for my next running partner! Would love to take your dog out during the day maybe even at night! My dog is super well behaved but spoiled she thinks she human and I can’t imagine life without her. I treat every dog like they are my own a blessing!
About: I recently took early retirement from a stressful corporate job in Silicon Valley. While working, a big challenge for me, was finding good quality care for my dog Marley. With a flex schedule, some days I needed to go into the office and Marley would need a walk, a play date or doggy day care. Travel and going out of town was always a challenge finding the person who would treat Marley like I would, as part of their family. So I'm hoping that my availability will help busy pet owners. I am excited that I now also volunteer at the Peninsula Humane Society!! Since giving up my corporate gig, my time is open and available for dogs who need care. I strive to ease transitions and provide the same level of love and care that you give your dog. Walks, scratches, play, belly rubs, brushing... whatever your dogs needs so that you both are comfortable. I will treat your pet as my own. I have a large fenced backyard and live near many parks and walking trails. I will calmly care for your pet to ensure that they feel safe and cared for
About: I worked as a Vet Tech at Banfield Pet Hospital from 2007 - 2010. I then started working for a local pet sitting company for 3 years. I have experience caring for all kinds of animals from chickens, to reptiles and special needs dogs and cats. I'm comfortable giving medication and keeping a close eye on your pets health. When I'm taking care of your pet, I'm treating them as my own! I'm available for long term overnight stays. I have a flexible full-time job, so I can fit in a midday potty break for your pup! Whatever rules you have for your pet, is what I will reinforce. I want to keep them on the schedule you have set for them.
About: Hello! My name is Ryan, and I’m a freshman at UCR. I have over five years of hands-on experience caring for dogs. I’ve grown up adopting and fostering rescue dogs and have happily adopted two of my own, Cooper and Trixie. My experience includes daily walks, feeding, playtime, administering basic medications, and providing companionship while pet parents are away As a college student, I plan my classes and study time so pet care fits easily into my routine. I’m reliable with walks, feeding, and playtime, and I enjoy spending time with animals as part of my day. I care for pets by following the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding, walking or exercise, and providing attention and basic care. I make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for, whether in my home or the client’s home.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Redwood Shores
Brie took great care of our dog! Brie projects calm energy which is especially helpful for a dog like ours and you can tell she cares very much about dogs in the affection she lavished on our dog. She was punctual and always provided good details and pics on her visits. I'd definitely use her again.

Itchel was an amazing dog walker! Very kind, approachable, and easy to communicate with. Our dog, Cooper, can be quite picky and slow to warm up to new people, but she quickly found a way to connect with him, and he truly enjoyed getting to know her. She was responsible, always on time, and provided great communication throughout. We also loved receiving the photos and updates from their walks. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog walker!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
