“Jas is top notch of a dog walker and has set the standards pretty high. It’ll be challenging to find another dog walker of his caliber. More importantly, Chomsky enjoys the walks with him.”

“Mario was outstanding! His communication was excellent, and he went above and beyond to help me out with walking my dogs on a stressful day of moving. I highly recommend him.”

“Great dog walking experience with Di! He is reliable, caring, and always on time. My dog comes back happy and well-exercised every walk. I feel totally comfortable knowing my dog is in great hands.”

“Linda (Xiangling) is great with my senior dog. He really loves her a lot and they have a great time together. She always sends a lot of pictures and updates which is really sweet because I'm always missing my dog.”

“Itchel was an amazing dog walker! Very kind, approachable, and easy to communicate with. Our dog, Cooper, can be quite picky and slow to warm up to new people, but she quickly found a way to connect with him, and he truly enjoyed getting to know her. She was responsible, always on time, and provided great communication throughout. We also loved receiving the photos and updates from their walks. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog walker!”

About: Hi! I’ve been a parent to my current pups for ten years, from puppies to their early senior years. I have experience with disabled dogs (Nemo is three legged+epileptic), active dogs, and fearful dogs. I have 4 years of volunteer experience at animal shelters as an assistant dog trainer and shelter dog socializer, so I’m comfortable with the whole spectrum of pup personalities! I have a flexible work calendar, so I can work around your schedule. Fridays and weekends are great for outings, especially if they like hikes or long walks For simplicity, I like to keep my dogs at home so I can give yours all the attention they need. If you want them socialized, I’m more than happy to take them to the dog park or a public park nearby. Of course, I will only do what you & your dog are 100% comfortable with
About: My husband and I have been our friends and family's designated cat and dog sitter for years. We understand the unique personality of each pet and do our best to provide the best care tailored to your furry baby. We can accomodate pick up time and drop off time between: 8am - 11:30 pm. My husband works from home and I works from home half of the time so we have plenty of time to care for your baby. We usually take two -three walks per day. We can add in more walks if your baby needs more potty breaks. The dogs/cats have free roam of our two bedrooms apt so they can hang out/play with us. We live in an apt building with a dog park right around the corner. We do not have pets at home and are only taking in one dog (with the exception of dogs from the same household) at a time so that we can give your pup the attention he/she needs. P.s. 我可以说中文
“Rachel was extremely patience with my grumpy little old girl and I cannot thank her enough. She took extra time to make sure my dog was comfortable with her. She is communicative with me the whole time. I trust Rachel completely in taking care of my dog and can't recommend her enough. We are so glad that we found you Rachel!”

About: I’ve taken care of my cousin’s dog for a year. I am able to walk them, feed them, comfort them, and play with them. I love dogs. They have a special place in my heart. I am currently not working, so I am very flexible. I am able to work part time or full time. I can do truly how much ever time you need in the weekdays. I won’t be available on weekends. I live in an apartment. I am open to pet sitting in my own home as well. I live in a very animal safe and family oriented community. I live right in front of a park as well.

About: I have 3+ years of hands-on experience caring for my two cats, and I regularly look after a friend’s Shiba Inu for about a month each year. I’m a native Mandarin Chinese speaker and fluent in English. 欢迎全程使用中文沟通,包括见面了解、照护说明和每次服务后的照片与情况更新。 I’m comfortable with feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter boxes, walks, playtime, and following detailed care routines. Living with a shy cat has taught me to be patient, read pets’ body language, and let them approach at their own pace. I pay close attention to changes in appetite, energy, behavior, and litter box habits. I’ll also provide clear photo updates so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I currently have a flexible schedule and can provide drop-in visits and dog walks on weekdays and weekends, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I limit my daily bookings so I can arrive on time, follow each pet’s routine carefully, and give every pet my full attention. I keep my Rover calendar updated and appreciate at least one day’s notice from new clients so we have time to confirm care instructions and arrange a Meet & Greet when needed. I care for pets in the comfort of their own home and follow each owner’s instructions closely. Before the first booking, I prefer a Meet & Greet to review feeding, water, litter boxes, walking routines, home access, emergency contacts, and any health or behavioral needs. During every visit, I make sure doors and gates are secure, keep dogs leashed outdoors, avoid interactions with unfamiliar animals, and respect your home. I also send photos and detailed updates about your pet’s food, water, bathroom habits, energy, and behavior.

About: Pets have become an important part of my adult life and understand their important place in a family. As a pet parent myself, I have been able to apply my experiences with Rover including medical care. I’m very active and enjoy spending time outside as much as possible. My current employment situation allows for flexibility with my schedule. In addition I am located centrally, allowing me to have access to both SF and the peninsula area. Home sittings and drop ins have been some of the things I have done for friends and their pets. For both home sitting and drop ins I have communicated with the pet parent ahead of time. Whether I have been trusted with a spare key or a door code, I respect the home as if it was a family’s member.

About: Since I was 7 years old, I grew up with dogs and they have become my very best friends. About 10 years ago, our senior dog, Biggie, guided me to Rover. He loved to meet new friends. Being with us for 18 years, Biggie knew it was his time to say good-bye and crossed the Rainbow Bridge. His legacy of looking at the world through love has taught me many great lessons! Same goes for all the Dogs I've crossed paths with! The connections and the special bonds that I made with my Rover dog buddies over the years have been one of the most amazing experiences! *I understand 1000% about the feeling of leaving your dog when you have to go away or when he/she is home alone for long periods of time. Trust me that I've been through it too and it was never easy for me. That is why I want you to feel at ease and confident that you can put your trust in me. Drop-in & dog walking: Please reach out to me regarding dates so I can share my schedule for that time. Your doggy will never be left home alone when staying with us! Either me or my husband will be home if one of us has to go out. Or, if your dog enjoys car rides he/she is welcome to join depending on where we are going and factoring weather conditions. I am very open minded, communicative, honest, trustworthy, and head over heels for animals. You will receive pictures and updates everyday during your doggie’s stay! I also have over 35 years of experience and knowledge caring for senior dogs, dogs w/ special needs, and puppies. I am committed to going above and beyond with undivided attention, safety, unconditional love & respect. I am responsible with following owner’s exact instructions- walk, feed, play, what to be mindful of, where they like to be pet, fears…what makes them feel safe, comfortable and happy. (Boarding/Daycare) My priority when caring for your puppy is creating a safe, comfortable, and happy space for everyone who walks through my door. My home is love and happiness…and clean! We have a beautiful, safe and private enclosed backyard for sunbathing. Our new neighborhood is open, clean, grassy, and safe when walking dogs! We also love when dogs sleep on our bed and they are always welcome on furniture. If you prefer they sleep in a crate, their own bed or separate, that’s fine too.

I also have experience caring for cats. I’ve loved animals my whole life and was a dog and cat owner myself. My dog was part of my family for 13 wonderful years, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, feeding, fresh water, medication, or simply some companionship while you’re away, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. After every visit, I send photos, videos, and a short update. GPS walk tracking is also available whenever possible, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Foster City
Almarah was a great help on our latest trip! She was punctual, reliable, and very attentive to our dog while we were out of town. She kept us updated with thoughtful details and made us feel comfortable knowing our dog was in good hands. She was caring, responsible, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire stay. I would absolutely book her again!

Brie took great care of our dog! Brie projects calm energy which is especially helpful for a dog like ours and you can tell she cares very much about dogs in the affection she lavished on our dog. She was punctual and always provided good details and pics on her visits. I'd definitely use her again.

Emma has been wonderful taking Koda on walks! She is very diligent about Koda’s condition and even applied cold compress when Koda’s limping without me asking her to. Emma is kind, caring and punctual! Will definitely recommend Emma to anyone to care for their furry friends!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
