About: I'm open to most types of pet sitting and have a hybrid work approach so more often than not am able to stay for the majority of the day with your furry child! I love walking in general, playing with dogs, cats, and appreciate that every pet has their own personality. Pet setting has always been a source of joy in my life and creating long standing relationships with families and their pets. It is such an amazing feeling to be treated with a wagging tail or a tail straight up depending on the pet :) and know that sending photos of their fur friend is bringing peace of mind to a family. I understand how much a pet means and am willing to go the extra mile to fit your families needs. I'm a graduate student getting a masters in clinical psychology in the evenings, which means I am available most days of the week and weekend during the day. I know I'm in good company here in saying that I treat my own cat like she's a part of my family. With any animal I'm taking care of I do my best to adhere to the schedule that the pet is used to in an effort to maintain a sense of normalcy when their family is away from them. I usually like to get to know what each pet likes and make sure we are trying to do some of their favorite activities to make their time positive. I make a concerted effort to keep the home neat and tidy each day so that the pet is also feeling clean and comfortable, but also so that the owners know that I respect not only their pet but their home. Depending on the preference of the owner I find it fun to send a small daily update which includes a photo and how the pet is doing overall.
“Ozlem came to meet the dogs & walked with us to understand their behaviors before she took the job. She was patient and very friendly. She was reliable and did a great job with my dogs. Definitely recommend her services.”

“Patrick was outstanding. He listened patiently to my nervous dog's needs and by the end of the walk they were friends. He went above & beyond to make sure Cody & I were both comfortable. Kind, communicative, flexible & punctual. We will definitely be meeting again.”

“Jordan is so great with my dog River. She’s walked my dog twice and I’m excited to have her walk my pup more! She was giving me frequent updates, took her time with River, and was super patient.”

“Josh was amazing. He took great care of both my dogs. His communication was great and I felt really safe leaving both dogs in his care. I will absolutely be booking with him in the future.”

“Barbara is amazing! She's kind, responsive, and incredibly attentive, and it's clear how much she genuinely cares about the pets she works with. She's reliable, communicative, and Archie had so much fun today!”

I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe and happy while you're away, so I provide attentive care, regular walks, playtime, and lots of affection. I’m responsible, patient, and committed to making pets feel comfortable in my care. I’m happy to send photo updates so you can feel at ease while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! As a stay-at-home mother of teenage twin girls, I have a very flexible schedule and am available most mornings, afternoons, and throughout the week. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pet in my care. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember and have had pets growing up throughout my life. Since I was about 10 years old, neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets while they were away. I also have experience house-sitting and making sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved in their own environment. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I always take the time to provide attentive, reliable care. Whether it’s a quick check-in, a long walk, or overnight care, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am currently volunteering at hospitals and clinics during my gap year before I attend Nursing school. Because of my flexible schedule, I have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care throughout the week and weekends. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they receive the proper attention and exercise they deserve. For dog walks, I prioritize safety, exercise, and making sure each dog has a positive experience. I understand that every dog has different energy levels and walking needs, so I take the time to learn their routine and preferences. During walks, I remain attentive to my surroundings, keep dogs secure on their leash, and ensure they get the exercise, attention, and care they need. I am dependable, patient, and happy to provide updates and photos so owners can feel confident their dog is in good hands.
“Kim was professional and considerate from the moment we met. She walked my pup a few days while I was out of town, helping split care with my mom. Kim checked in ahead of the service, during with questions, and sent lots of pictures to clearly show what happened. When my pup was sick one day, Kim kindly cleaned up after her and sat with her instead of trying to push through with a walk. I felt so comfortable leaving my pup in her hands.”

About: I’m a huge dog lover (bonus points for Doodles)! I’ve been a dog owner for about 5 years. Currently, I have 2 dogs of my own, a Husky mix and a German Shepherd mix, so every day is a little crazy! I’ve previously worked at Wag Hotels in Redwood City, where I gained hands-on professional experience caring for and handling dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’m passionate about making sure every dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for. While I can’t take them somewhere they can run completely free, I do enjoy going on long walks around the neighborhood. Currently, my schedule is fully open. I’m available at all hours, but I prefer going on walks during mornings and evenings for a more relaxed walk with less distractions. I will do my best to build a strong bond with your dog. I am patient and always pay close attention to their body language. During walks, your dog will always be on a leash, even if they are comfortable off leash, to ensure their safety at all times.

We just adopted our dog from a rescue about a month ago and Andrea has been so communicative on each walk. Yogi is high energy and not the easiest on walks. I gave a lot of suggestions to help Yogi practice what we’re working on in training, and Andrea has been so good about trying to help him stay consistent and just making sure he’s well loved and cared for while we’re at work. Yogi has been doing so well at home after she takes him for his walk and plays with him. Would not hesitate to have Andrea walk Yogi again!

Shanni is incredible! We were so lucky to have her walk Bucky for the past year. It was also very clear that Bucky loved every walk/visit with Shanni. We are so grateful for all she did for Bucky, and we recommend Shanni to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring.

- 90% of walkers can help with special care needs

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
