“Cordigen has been wonderful at providing weekly visits for our puppy, Sammy, and our 8 year old dog, June. I can tell from the photos she sends that they have a great time with her on their 3x/week visits and really appreciate all the care she shows for them. Highly recommend!”

About: I grew up with dogs and hamsters as a kid, but my love for animals didn’t end there. I raised and trained two dogs from puppies to adult. I volunteered at the SPCA socializing cats. I adopted and raised cats from kitten to adult. I currently have a 15 yr old and two 2.5 yr old cats. I have helped dog sit and cat sit for friends over the years and fostered several litters of dogs and a few cats. I love animals and will ensure yours gets the attention, care and time they deserve. I’m currently a teacher on summer break . I’m traveling for some of June but around in July with low key plans around the area. I’d fit my plans around your fur baby’s needs. I will follow the needs you share of your pets and your expectations , and use my skillset to connect with your animals at the level they are comfortable with.
“Danielle is calm and wonderful with Jax. He was re-homed in August and this was his first walk with a dog walker. He was a little anxious, but Danielle knew just how to comfort him. He seemed to miss her when she left, watching out the window after her for awhile after she left.”

About: Firm yet loving care for all dogs, specializing in puppy training, high energy, hiking/running, and managing complex medical needs like seizures, food sensitivities, and limited mobility Currently working from home with flexible time which allows me to integrate training, walks, play time, and medical monitoring throughout the day, while weekends are dedicated to long runs/walks and trail hikes. My approach to pet care is rooted in structure, trust, and genuine affection. My services will be tailored to each dog's needs indoors or outdoors
“Yu Chen is such a great friend for our pet Shadow. We are so lucky that we found Yu Chen. While we were away, she took shadow out for a long walk everyday for more than we agreed. She left me notes everyday regarding her time with Shadow. It was such a relief to know that our dog is in good hands. She is truly a dog lover! Don’t hesitate to let her take care of your paws. I will always recommend Yu Chen. Hope to see Yu Chen again soon.”

“Tillana worked so diligently to get to know our dog, who is shy with new people. She made sure Roo had lots of fun on their outings and was really easy to communicate with.”

About: I’ve grown up with Labrador Retrievers my whole life and got my very first puppy when I was 15. More recently, I brought home a French Bulldog, and it’s been such a joy watching him grow from a tiny puppy into the sweet, fun 1-year-old he is now! Having pets has always been a big part of my life, and I truly love caring for them I work from home so I am usually pretty available! I do have a lot of virtual calls so I cannot usually do last minute walks but can plan around my day! I am completely free after 3:30 PM everyday. I have a French bulldog who loves to play and spends a lot of his time cuddled up with us. We also have a huge patio that is fenced in and a dog area to let them roam around and play.
“Felt very comfortable leaving Fitz with Rachel. Followed instructions and was super understanding when I explained Fitzie’s behavior. Look forward to working with Rachel again whenever needed (:”

“Walks with Kate were the highlights of my dog's day and she always got excited when she knew she was about to see her. Kate was very professional and attentive to my dog's needs, and did an amazing job walking and playing with my 95lbs dog. I would highly recommend Kate to anyone looking for a respectful dog walker or a new best friend for their pup!”

About: I have my own 7 year old corgi whom I love to take on social outings, and have always wanted to own a ranch to foster dogs and other animals. for now, this will do🤓 I enjoy popping in to see my friends’ dogs while they’re at work to take them out for potty breaks & play, and watching my friends’ dogs when they go on trips~ Currently on a 3 month LOA from my nursing job, but am planning on taking a break afterwards due to burnout. Because of that I’m flexible and able to adjust to whatever needs pets may have! Currently I wake up, walk Toast (my corgi), hangout with him for a bit and then run errands if there are any. I can then pop in for a drop in/walk elsewhere (and bring toast too possibly)! He’s an integral part of my life so he’s always involved if he can be! My husband is an anesthesia MD resident at Stanford so he’s often at the hospital with long hours — all that to say he’s not very high maintenance as well so I have more wiggle room with my schedule :) I love dogs, and will always treat yours like I treat mine :) Will leave Toast at home if your dog is not up for socializing, but can also bring Toast if your dog needs some doggie time.
“Josh was amazing. He took great care of both my dogs. His communication was great and I felt really safe leaving both dogs in his care. I will absolutely be booking with him in the future.”

“Cameron takes such great care of our Dash. He was very patient in building rapport with our boy and getting to know him. Dash looks forward to his walks with Cameron, who is reliable and kind!”

About: I’ve taken care of family and friend’s furry friends since a very young age- including dogs of all types. From newborn puppies, to energetic young dogs, and elderly sick pups, I have a wide range of experience in the different care that’s needed. I also have experience as a vet assistant at pets in need, where I learned the importance of hygiene, attention to detail, and the bond between us and our furry friends. Lastly, I’ve had all kinds of pets since I was young! I have two dogs of my own, one of which has special needs, so I truly understand the importance in finding someone trustworthy and capable. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone! I’m recently unemployed due to my chronic illness, and am a full time college student. So im open to work everyday! Some days in the mornings, and some days on afternoons. I’m looking forward making money in something that I love and that is flexible. I have a fenced yard outside for playtime, as well as a gate inside my house to keep my dogs secure and safe. I have lots of toys and space in my house!
About: I'm open to most types of pet sitting and have a hybrid work approach so more often than not am able to stay for the majority of the day with your furry child! I love walking in general, playing with dogs, cats, and appreciate that every pet has their own personality. Pet setting has always been a source of joy in my life and creating long standing relationships with families and their pets. It is such an amazing feeling to be treated with a wagging tail or a tail straight up depending on the pet :) and know that sending photos of their fur friend is bringing peace of mind to a family. I understand how much a pet means and am willing to go the extra mile to fit your families needs. I'm a graduate student getting a masters in clinical psychology in the evenings, which means I am available most days of the week and weekend during the day. I know I'm in good company here in saying that I treat my own cat like she's a part of my family. With any animal I'm taking care of I do my best to adhere to the schedule that the pet is used to in an effort to maintain a sense of normalcy when their family is away from them. I usually like to get to know what each pet likes and make sure we are trying to do some of their favorite activities to make their time positive. I make a concerted effort to keep the home neat and tidy each day so that the pet is also feeling clean and comfortable, but also so that the owners know that I respect not only their pet but their home. Depending on the preference of the owner I find it fun to send a small daily update which includes a photo and how the pet is doing overall.
“My dog immediately fell in love with Ian. She is crazy about him - and for good reason. I have already rebooked with Ian as I can now go out of town guilt-free as well as worry free.”

“Octavia is amazing! Very communicative and knows how to handle dogs incredibly well. Her dog training experience is super key and nice to have. She's been able to help our dog already not react as strongly to other dogs passing by. She's definitely becoming out go to person to take care of our dog in San Jose.”

We just adopted our dog from a rescue about a month ago and Andrea has been so communicative on each walk. Yogi is high energy and not the easiest on walks. I gave a lot of suggestions to help Yogi practice what we’re working on in training, and Andrea has been so good about trying to help him stay consistent and just making sure he’s well loved and cared for while we’re at work. Yogi has been doing so well at home after she takes him for his walk and plays with him. Would not hesitate to have Andrea walk Yogi again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
