About: I grew up with English Setters and an American Bulldog, so big dogs with big personalities have always felt like home. I even helped with training our Bulldog, which taught me that consistency, patience, and understanding body language go a long way. Every dog is different, and that’s one of my favorite things about them. Some want to sprint around the neighborhood, some would rather stop and sniff every single blade of grass (and I’ll happily wait while they conduct their very important investigations). I enjoy figuring out what makes each dog feel comfortable, happy, and engaged. Whether your dog is high-energy, a gentle giant, or somewhere in between, I’ll meet them where they are. My goal is simple: make sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and affection while you have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. As a mechanical engineering student, my schedule varies a bit throughout the year. I keep my calendar updated to reflect exam weeks and semester schedule changes, including the transition at the end of August. I believe pets deserve unhurried, attentive care, so I only accept bookings I know I can fully commit to. That means when I’m with your pet, they have my full attention, not just a spot squeezed into a busy schedule. I understand that trusting someone with both your pet and your home is a big decision. I’ll always treat your home with the same care and respect I’d expect someone to show mine. I’ll carefully follow your pet’s routine, respect any household rules, double-check doors and gates, and make sure your pet has fresh water, exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection. I’ll also send regular updates and photos so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is safe and happy.
About: Hi! I’m a De Anza College nursing student and a lifelong dog and animal lover. I’m reliable, routine-focused, and confident caring for a wide range of dogs, including high-energy pups and dogs who need calmer, structured walks. I gained hands-on experience caring for a sweet but reactive Golden Retriever while working as an au pair in Germany, so I’m very attentive to leash safety, triggers, and keeping walks smooth and safe. I’m also raising my own Golden Retriever puppy, Sunny, so I’m comfortable managing energetic dogs and staying consistent with routines. I’m detail-oriented, happy to follow your instructions closely, and I can give oral medications if needed. I’m also gentle with senior dogs who need a slower pace. You can expect thoughtful updates, photos, and calm, consistent care. Pet care fits into my weekly routine. I plan my class/study schedule around my Rover bookings so I can be consistent and on time. On weekdays, I’m typically available for morning, midday, and evening visits/walks (my calendar reflects my exact availability). I prioritize routine, so once we agree on times, I stick to them. I also build in flexibility for longer walks, extra potty breaks, and unexpected needs, and I communicate early if anything changes. Trust and safety are my top priorities, and I treat every pet like my own. In a client’s home: • I will make sure to follow your routine (feeding, potty breaks, walk style, and house rules). • I always double-check doors, gates, and leashes/harnesses before leaving. • Walks are calm and controlled: I avoid risky situations, keep safe distance from triggers, and don’t allow off-leash time unless you’ve explicitly approved a secure area. (I never take pets to dog parks unless the owner requests it and we’ve discussed it in advance.) • I keep your home tidy and secure (lights/locks, wiping paws if needed, quick cleanup after meals). In my home (if boarding/daycare): • Pets are supervised and kept in a calm, clean environment. • I separate pets during meals/treats to prevent resource guarding. • I use positive reinforcement and respect each pet’s comfort level. • I can accommodate crate routines if your pet is crate-trained. Communication: • You’ll get photo/video updates and a short note each visit. • If anything unusual happens (vomiting, injury, appetite changes, behavior shifts), I contact you right away and follow your instructions. • I’m comfortable giving oral medications and caring for seniors who need a gentler pace. I would also prefer a Meet & Greet so I can learn your pet’s routine and make sure we’re a great match.
“Shawna is excellent at communicating. We are so grateful for her help with walking Goose while we were away for a few days. We appreciate the thorough report cards. Goose seems so happy on their walks. Thank you, Shawna!”

I currently work from home, so I can assure you that your pet will get all the attention and love they deserve! About: I’ve cared for rescue dogs for more than 15 years, and I currently have three friendly dogs at home. I’m used to all kinds of personalities—shy, energetic, or senior—and I make sure every pup feels safe, comfortable, and at home. I’m attentive, patient, and committed to giving each dog the care, structure, and affection they need to feel relaxed and happy during their stay. I have open availability and spend most of the day at home, so dogs are rarely left alone. Caring for my 3-month-old baby keeps me on a home-based routine, which means your pup will always have supervision, company, and plenty of time for walks, play, and relaxation in a calm, safe environment. I have a large fenced backyard where dogs can run freely and safely. My friendly dogs love having visitors, and we always do slow, calm introductions. We follow each owner’s routines closely and can crate your dog if needed. I make sure every pup feels safe, supervised, and comfortable—just like part of the family
About: I have two small dogs of my own and I am a professional groomer I offer grooming services on top of watching your dog's. 😇 I currently work part time, gives me more time to spend with your pups. We can have a doggie play group and get their energy out. I have a fenced patio and two small dogs to keep your fur babies company . I can easily crate Your dog if needed. 🐕
About: I have a great love for dogs, no matter what shape or size. I have grown up living in a household with small to medium dogs and other furry animals. I understand how much pets can affect you in a good way. I have had the privilege of taking care of older dogs, dogs with medication and even a puppy. Recently, in past two years, i have had the opportunity to also care of a cat plus a big beautiful german Shepard. My goal is to ensure and comfort your dog while you are away. I will keep the dog(s) on their regular, training routine to the specific detail you tell me. I do community service part time which is regular in my life. I am willing to have a fixed or flexible schedule for short-term jobs. Not available Sunday mornings or Tuesday nights for meet and greet. My goal is to keep your pet safe and comfortable while at the same time keep your home just as you had left it before your vacation. I had a maltipoo. She was loud when you first meet her but really shy. Also friendly enough to hold on to. She is potty trained and knows some commands. With other dogs she gets a long with them, and she just needs to warm up to them because of shyness. I kept her on dog food not human food and she weighs less than 10 lbs. She would run around and play with the younger dogs but also mellow down with the older dogs.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for a few years now, as my extended family tends to go on a lot of vacations. I primarily have experience with smaller/medium dogs, but would love to work with any kinda dog or cat. My availability is pretty open! On Tuesdays/Wednesdays, I’m unavailable until 3 PM. But other than that, I’m usually always free whenever you need some help! Depending on your cat, I’ll either be playing with them or just watching over them as they do their own thing. I will clean any cat messes that are made in your home.
“Katie was great to work with! She was punctual, had great communication and sent us pictures of our dogs after their walks. They look so happy with her! I would definitely recommend Katie for your rover needs! Thanks Katie!”

About: While most of my pet care comes from three years as a cat owner, I naturally connect with dogs. From friendly neighborhood greetings to playtime energy, I bring patience, warmth, and dependable care for every furry friend. I volunteer part-time a few days a week, but I always make time for pets! I’m flexible, reliable, and ready to give your furry friends the love and care they need. When caring for pets, safety and comfort come first. I follow owners’ instructions carefully, provide plenty of attention, walks, and playtime, and keep a calm, loving environment. I treat every pet like family.
About: I’ve spent years caring for animals through long term dog and cat fostering, as well as frequent pet sitting for friends and neighbors. My own cat is currently back home with family while I get settled here, but pets have stayed a big part of my life the whole time. What sets me apart is attention to detail. I send timely updates and photos during every visit, so you always know exactly how your pet is doing. Whether it’s feeding, a walk, or just keeping them company, I treat every pet like my own. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions! My schedule is pretty flexible right now, and I can do drop in visits or walks 1 to 3 times a day depending on what your pet needs. Once I’ve gotten to know your dog or cat, I’m also happy to offer boarding. I live in an apartment with dog parks, which makes walks and outdoor time easy. For both walking and boarding, I only take care of one pet at a time, so your pet gets my full attention and a calm, low stress environment. I’m open to boarding for pets I’ve already met and feel comfortable with.

About: I've always had a special love for animals, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know each pet's personality. Every animal is different, and I love learning what helps them feel safe, happy, and comfortable. I understand that leaving your pet at home can be stressful, especially when they take such good care of us. Whether I'm stopping by for a walk, playtime, meals, or simply some company, I'll care for your pet with the same attentiveness and thoughtfulness I'd hope someone would show mine. My schedule lends me some flexibility during the week, so daytime visits are usually easy for me to accommodate. I also try not to cram my day full of bookings because I'd rather have the time to give each pet the attention they deserve. I know it takes trust to hand someone your keys and ask them to care for your pet. I'll follow your routine as closely as possible, keep you updated with photos and messages, and let you know if anything seems out of the ordinary. I want you to be able to enjoy your time away without wondering how things are going at home.
“Ana was wonderful! Reliable, on time and great with our big dog Cocoa. She communicated well with photos and updates and even checked in on my elderly mom who was staying with our dog. We ended up using her again for a 2-week vacation where she came twice daily for walks and did doggie daycare a couple of days. Our dog Cocoa loves Ana and her dog Otis who played together really well. Thank you Ana! We are so happy to have found you. ❤”

Zhi W. has been an incredible dog walker for our rescue dog, Pinky. From the very beginning, she took the time to get to know Pinky and met her exactly where she was, never rushing the process. As a large rescue dog, Pinky needed a lot of patience, love, and understanding, and Zhi gave her all of that and more. Zhi has always been consistent, dependable, and an excellent communicator. She kept us updated during every walk, shared how Pinky was doing, and made us feel confident that she was in the best hands. It’s clear that she truly loves dogs and understands that every dog has unique needs. Thanks to her calm, compassionate approach, Pinky grew more comfortable and confident over time. We always felt completely at ease knowing Pinky was safe, happy, and well cared for. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Zhi again and absolutely plan to schedule walks with her in the future. We highly recommend Zhi to anyone looking for a trustworthy, patient, reliable, and caring dog walker!
Jamie was wonderful to work with! She took the time to calmly listen as I shared all the details about my dog’s daily routine, arthritis, likes, and needs. I really appreciated how patient, attentive, and caring she was. She also showed me her home and backyard, which made me feel very comfortable and confident that my dog would be in a safe, loving environment. We had a great 30-minute walk together, and Jamie was so gentle and kind with my dog. It was clear that she genuinely cares about animals and takes the time to get to know each pet. I would definitely recommend Jamie to anyone looking for a compassionate pet caregiver. In fact, after our meet-and-greet walk, I felt so comfortable that I’ve already booked her to dog sit for my dog for 10 days in July. Thank you, Jamie!

Nicole was great! She was responsive, easy to communicate with, and took great care of my dog. She was flexible when an issue came up and made sure everything was handled. I really appreciated the updates and attention she gave him. Would definitely book with her again.

Austin was great with my dog Kreed. He kept me updated, sent photos from the walks, and made sure Kreed got some water after. He was easy to communicate with and clearly cared about making sure my dog was comfortable, especially with how hot it’s been lately. Kreed seemed to really like him, and everything went smoothly. I’d definitely book with Austin again. Thanks!!!

Son was a great walker for my parents dog while she (the dog) was staying with me for a few weeks! He made sure to follow her pace and provided fantastic reports for each of her walks. He was kind to her and understanding of her needs, and provided photos and info about each walk. Definitely would have him walk for us again in the future!

Stephania has been doing check ins for my Dachshund puppy twice a day 3x a week for a few weeks now, and it is no easy task! At our first initial meeting, Stephania asked very detailed questions about her care, training, schedule, behavior, vet information, and also my expectations on what a day to day visit would look like. Her diligence reassured me that she is detailed oriented and really cares about providing the best care possible. She is very easy to contact, responds quickly, and openly communicates. My work schedule is very random, but Stephania goes above and beyond to work around it. Stephania is also very respectful of my home, and leaves it exactly as I left it, which I really appreciate. I also have cats in my home that she is not responsible for caring for, but will still show them love and attention anyways. Poppy and I appreciate everything she does, and I am confident in rebooking her again!

Elizabeth was absolutely lovely! We had a wonderful meet and greet, Carly took to her immediately and she doesn't do that with everyone. Elizabeth checked in and sent photos. When I got home it was clear that she had taken wonderful care of my pup. I will absolutely have her again.

Sasha and Claire have been amazing with Wini! They’ve been super reliable, communicative, and you can tell they genuinely care about the dogs they work with. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing Wini was being taken care of while I was at work. Highly recommend them and would absolutely book again!

Katie helped me out last minute when I was in a pinch. I have never hired a dog walker through Rover and have only previously used dog sitting services. However, Katie made the process super easy. She spent extra time with my girl and made sure she had the walk she deserved that day.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
