“Charlie is the absolute best! She has been doing daily walks for my dog and it is the highlight of his day. His sits by the door waiting for her to arrive, gets so stinking excited when she shows up and toodles off with her in heaven. Charlie provides detailed updates on the walk and is highly communicative with us. In short, I could not recommend Charlie more!”
“Brian has done an excellent job walking and caring for Bandit. He is communicative, on time, and is very attentive to Bandit's particular needs for a walk, especially since Bandit is dog-reactive and needs extra attention when going out. I would recommend Brian to anyone who is looking for a walker and I look forward to continuing using his services for the foreseeable future!”

About: As a lifelong cat lover and recent kitten foster, I understand that every cat is unique. Some want constant attention, while others prefer their space. I take the time to learn each cat’s personality and routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, litter box maintenance, medication assistance, or simply providing companionship, I treat every cat as if they were my own. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can travel with confidence knowing your cat is in caring hands. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I work my schedule around providing reliable care, including feeding, fresh water, playtime, walks (for dogs), litter box cleaning, and check-ins throughout the day. I am organized and attentive to routines, so I can follow your pet’s schedule closely and make sure they receive consistent care, attention, and companionship while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In your home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, routines, and household rules. I make sure doors, windows, and gates are secure and pay close attention to any changes in behavior or health. For cats, I maintain clean litter boxes, provide enrichment and playtime, and ensure they have a calm, stress-free environment. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own, providing regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your furry family member is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: HELLO ...... My story started at a young age. I was blessed with the gift of communicating with God's magnificent creatures. In my well-traveled journey, I have gained working vet tech experience, knowledge, and wisdom that spans over 30 years. My family and I founded a sanctuary for animals in Washington State that the SPCA recognized. We rescued, rehabilitated, trained, and provided education classes for the care and proper nutrition of all creatures, great and small. We have worked tirelessly with the SPCA for the welfare and prevention of animal cruelty and care. So whether you are traveling for work, relocating or pleasure we are here to help care for your fur baby. I am a single grandmother raising my only granddaughter, I wanted her to experience the unconditional love God's creatures can bring to her daily life. I am blessed to have my granddaughter work alongside me in this business venture. Rover has allowed me to grow my passion and experience into a loving home business in the Bay area area I am a home-based professional dog care specialist so I can be a hands-on grandmother while raising my granddaughter. So I try to be as flexible and accommodating for upcoming visits ( personal schedule permitting), Thank you, Stevie. I have a very dog-friendly fenced yard that your fur baby can have easy access to throughout their visit. Plus walkable neighborhood with parks for socialization, exercise, and play.

“Sydney has walked my dog, Louis, on several occasions. His interaction with Louis is very positive and Louis is excited when Sydney comes. Sydney has always been on time and sends pictures during the walk to let me know that he has Louis. I definitely recommend Sydney!”

“Yu-Wen was a great dog sitter for our Boston terrier, Henry. He provided timely updates and lots of photos for us. It was clear that he was attentive to Henry. I would recommend him as a dog sitter.”

“Chris was great. He watched my dog Annie for the second half of my Christmas/NY vacation. The day he took over with Annie, she was feeling sick and limping. So stressful to hear from the other side of the country! He monitored her and sent pictures and texted me frequently to let me know how she was doing and thankfully she was feeling better after a couple of days. ”
“Cassidy is great! I always get thorough updates and she has been flexible with our last minute requests. She is very capable and experienced and I know my (sometimes anxious) pup is in good hands!”

About: i have had a dog since I was 10 years old and have had a big role in taking care of him. I have also helped friends with their pet sitting jobs for the past year. I am a college student with a part time job (around 15 hours) so I have spare time to take care of your pets in between and after my school and work. Right now I am not in school because it is summer so I have more availability. I live in a pet friendly home with my family and my dog as well. I am able to go out for walks often as well.

“It was so nice to have Danielle walk and play with my puppy while I was at work. I was relieved knowing Luna was in good hands. Danielle came at the agreed upon time and took Luna for engaging neighborhood walks.”

About: Growing up my family both owned pups and boarded in our home, so I've had lots of experience caring for different kinds of dogs. As an adult I had a golden retriever whom I did an extensive amount of training with. She was my baby and I fully understand how important it is to know you are trusting your pup with someone who will take great care of them while you are away. I currently have a very flexible schedule during the week and am available for drop-in visits, walks, or sitting in your home. I also have availability most weekends at the moment. I don't have a pet at the moment and will treat yours like they are my own! I know the importance of building trust with pups to ensure safety for them, myself, and those around us.

My dog and I are so glad we met Judi! She treats Finny as if he were her own and he absolutely loves her! Judi is meticulous about any instructions you have for your pup and your home and, because she has so much experience with dogs, she will let you know if she notices any changes or issues with your fur baby. As a new and somewhat anxious dog mom, I can relax and focus at work knowing Judi is coming over and Finny is safe and having a great time with her on their walks.

I had a great experience working with Avery. She arrived on time, was professional and reliable, and did everything exactly as agreed. Communication was smooth throughout the process, and I felt comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and trustworthy dog walker, and I would be happy to work with her again in the future.

RYDER Looks forward to his "Kick Off The Week" Walk with Rachel. She provides him variety, taking alternate routes around the neighborhood and exposing him to new sights and scents while out catching the morning sun and an occasional Squirrel crossing to get his heart-a-pumping! Thank you Rachel for taking such good care of our boy. I'm certain he's excited to see you arrive and walk with him... Thank You!

Courtney is the best of the best! I had never previously needed to hire “outside help” for one of my dogs (I only moved to the west coast a couple of years ago and previously had many friends and family nearby to help out) so I was super nervous to leave my puppy in the care of someone I didn’t know very well. Courtney put me at ease as soon as I met her. I could tell she really cared about taking care of Sadie the way I wanted her to be taken care of and Sadie warmed up to her right away. Courtney is great at what she does and very dependable. My only complaint is that she doesn’t have more availability, but that speaks to what a great dogsitter/walker she is and how many people want her services!

Sydney was so responsive and easy to work with for a last minute care request! We did a quick meet and greet, which was appreciated for my peace of mind and to be sure my dog was familiar with her. She send along photos and updates from his walk that were thorough and timely. Thank you, Sydney!!

Coralee is wonderful! The dogs love her, she is communicative and respectful. The other day I was on an important meeting and Coralee came in the house. She knew about the meeting and was super quiet even when one of my dogs would not come to her. She really read the situation and handled it beautifully! Thank you, Coralee!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
