“Adrienne was absolutely wonderful with our sweet Rocky! He took to her right away, and it was clear from the start that he was comfortable and happy in her care. She was reliable, conscientious, and attentive, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking Adrienne again. Highly recommend!”

About: I've had dogs my entire life until a couple of years ago when my dog, Allee, passed away. I'm not ready to commit to getting another dog yet but I miss the pitter patter of paws so pet sitting is the perfect option for me. I recently retired, so I have lots of time for walks and tummy rubs with your furry friend. I am available for doggie day care Monday through Friday and for overnight boarding weekdays and some weekends. I have a fenced in yard and no pets. With my flexible schedule, your furry friends will get lots of play time, tummy rubs and potty walks (every 3-4 hours).
“I needed a last-minute dog walker for the week and Javante was so kind to help out! We weren’t able to meet beforehand, but he was very communicative and reached out with questions. Birdie seemed to love him as well! I appreciate his help and care for her so much.”

About: I understand how important it is to make sure your fur baby is well taken care of while you are away. I provide peace of mind for you when you are away from them. I provide lots of cuddles, playtime, and continuous communication with picture updates about your babies. I have had so much experience growing up on a vet farm with dogs, cats, chickens, horses and cows. I also have pets of my own who need pet sitting once in a while and have found some of the best pet sitters on Rover. I do require a meet and greet to make sure everyone is a good fit before I accept a booking. I am currently available to pet sit for most weekends. We have a fully fenced in yard with a large grassy area for play. Your dog is invited to feel at home with us depending on your preferences. I live in a great safe neighborhood to provide long walks or playtime at the doggy park nearby. I work from home three days a week and am available to take multiple walks depending on the weather. Weekends are adventure time. We can hike, play fetch or run at the two large local parks. We have a fully fenced yard for all day fun. I take multiple walks to take a break from the computer and welcome walks in our safe neighborhood.
About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs & cats, as well as my friends’ for the last 15 years. I have experience with big ones, small ones, feisty, friendly… they all deserve all the love. I’m currently working part-time, mostly off my phone, so I will have plenty of time to have quality time with your pet(s)! I’ve had animals with a more regimented schedule & others that are low maintenance- happy to accommodate both. I have a fenced yard & a small senior Shih Tzu to keep your animal company! There’s also lots of parks in the area- both with other dogs, or more private.
“Melanie is great! She takes good care of my dog! She is always very punctual and follows all the instructions. My dog was really happy when she took her out! Definitely will choose her again next time!”

About: I have had my dog Samba for about 8 years. When we adopted him I promised my parents that I would walk and take care of him, and I have kept. that promise ever since 😆. I also enjoy pet sitting for friends and neighbors dogs/cats/guinea pigs/bearded dragons. I’m an incoming college freshman and I want to stay busy doing something fun before school starts in late September. I’m an incoming college freshman and I want to stay busy doing something fun before school starts in late September. I am essentially free every day and most of the time, the whole day. I’m also willing to wake up early or stay up late. I think it really depends on the type of pet, but for dogs I usually let them out in the morning after waking up, right before going to bed, and any time in between that they need to go. Walks will be 1-2 times a day to the park or around the neighborhood, and playing in the backyard is an option too if the dog seems interested. In a clients home it will probably be the same, or different as requested.

About: Hi! I’m Gemma, a lifelong dog lover with years of experience caring for dogs through Rover, house sitting, and growing up with dogs of my own. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m very active, so whether your dog loves long walks, hikes, playing fetch, or just relaxing with someone nearby, I’m happy to match their energy. I also have experience with reactive dogs, senior dogs, puppies, and dogs with different routines, so I’m comfortable adapting to each pet’s individual needs. I know how important it is to trust someone with both your pet and your home. I treat every home with respect, keep things clean, and send regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. My goal is always for your dog to feel like they’re spending time with a friend rather than just being watched. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pup! Pet care is something I intentionally schedule my week around. As a college student with a flexible schedule, I’m able to provide consistent care and stick closely to your pet’s routine. Whether it’s walks, meals, playtime, medications, or overnight stays, I make sure your pet receives the attention and care they deserve. I treat every pet as if they were my own and every home with the utmost respect. I carefully follow your pet’s routine, keep doors and gates secure, and pay close attention on walks and around other animals. I always leave your home clean and tidy, provide regular photo updates, and communicate promptly so you can feel confident your pet is in safe, caring hands.

About: I’ve been so lucky to have been raised with dogs my whole life, ever since I was young we’ve had two dogs at all times. I love to walk, play and nap with them. Friends, family and family friends have asked me to look after their pets. I love nature and getting to the outdoors and love taking doggy’s with me, and I also love to laze around like a house cat. I love all sorts of animals, dogs, cats, horses, chickens and pigs. I hope to own a farm one day with all sorts of animals running around enjoying their best life. I am currently openly available, I am looking for part-time work, but mostly want to spend time with the pup’s and take them on walks. Animals take care of us if we take care of them. So I love taking my dogs for walks and playing games with them, giving them belly scratches and more. and if they want to snooze I am all good with that too.
“Yaisa was awesome for walking Toko and Arya when I was away at work during the day! She showed up on time and would take them for a nice long walk through the neighborhood. My pups were surprisingly well behaved with her and I loved all the pictures she would send me! They always looked happier on days after she visited. I will definitely book again when I need someone to check in with them if I'm out on a day trip or any long work weeks.”

“Karlin was very reliable and we felt safe leaving our dog in her care. Would be very happy if she will take care of Hazel again next time we need someone. She was thoughtful and a good communicator too. Thank you again, Karlin!”

“Scott’s amazing. He is always on time or before time for the walks. My dog java absolutely loves going for walks with him. Definitely recommend him. Looking forward to booking more walks with him.”

About: With over 7 years of experience caring for cats, I’ve developed a sharp eye for detail—I often notice injuries or unusual behavior at first glance. I’ve cared for injured and recovering cats, making sure they receive all their medications on time and in the correct dosage. Cleanliness and routine are important to me, so I always wash food and water bowls thoroughly. I understand feline body language and know how to help cats feel safe, relaxed, and loved. I also love sharing updates, so I regularly send photos and videos to cat parents for peace of mind. I have a very flexible work schedule, so I’m able to stay home whenever cats need me. Their well-being is always a priority. I’ve also installed cameras at home to monitor their eating and litter box habits—making sure they’re eating on time and staying healthy. My routine is built around giving them consistent care, attention, and a stress-free environment. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or at a client’s, I prioritize safety, comfort, and routine. I always open and close doors carefully to ensure cats stay safely indoors. I closely follow each client’s instructions—checking food, water, and litter box conditions every visit. After all the essentials are done, I make time to play and bond with the cats so they feel happy and loved while you’re away.

Ava is great with my senior girl. She allows Callie to go at her own pace and understands that new smells are Callie’s favorite. Ava was even willing to drive her to a nearby park to mix it up a bit so she wasn’t always walking in the same areas. Good communication and very considerate, I definitely recommend Ava!

I needed a last-minute dog walker for the week and Javante was so kind to help out! We weren’t able to meet beforehand, but he was very communicative and reached out with questions. Birdie seemed to love him as well! I appreciate his help and care for her so much.

She was reliable, conscientious, and attentive, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking Adrienne again. Anke is the best of the best. We used Rover for the first time to help out our 2 dogs while we were on vacation. One of our dog needs special help as he is diabetic. Anke gave us full confidence and she discovered skin allergies on our other dog which we had missed. She took utmost care of both of them and we felt very relieved and safe. She would stay in touch with us daily and took charge of all our pet's needs. I would highly recommend Anke -- we are super thankful to have found her.
Skye took care of my Shiba for the past week. She was reserved during the meet & greet, but she had incredible attention to detail and care. Not only did she take regular (and amazing) photos every day, she made sure to brush him regularly and feed him cold water from the fridge. It really felt like she was treating him as her own. Given Shiba commonly act like cats, if you have a dog or a cat, i have no doubt that she’ll take great care of them!

Sydney was so responsive and easy to work with for a last minute care request! We did a quick meet and greet, which was appreciated for my peace of mind and to be sure my dog was familiar with her. She send along photos and updates from his walk that were thorough and timely. Thank you, Sydney!!

Divya walks my dog once a week and does a great job! My dog can be hesitant to leave me to go on a walk but Divya is patient and (with the help of lots of treats!) she has always managed to get her out for a while when other dog walkers have given up. My dog is also definitely more of a meanderer than enthusiastic walker and Divya seems to be happy to accommodate all her smelling stops :).

Victoria is the best!!! She really takes good care of my dog! And you definitely can tell how caring she is! Every time she writes very detailed descriptions on how my dog is doing on this walk. This is my third or fourth time asking her for help and of course I will continue asking her for help in the future!! Thank you sooo much Victoria!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
