She’s been very thorough, follows my directions, and even offered to measure Rosie’s food portions to be accurate. I feel rest-assured with her knowing she’s in great hands! She also was patient when the leasing office was closed, and waited almost half an hour to retrieve keys to get into my apartment.”

About: Hello! I'm a passionate animal lover with a lifelong dedication to pet care and animal welfare. My journey with animals began at a young age, taking care of a variety of pets, including dogs, fish, birds, and gerbils. This early experience ignited my love for animals and led me to become deeply involved in more specialized animal care. Professionally, I led the customer service team at Whistle, the leading pet tracker company. This role allowed me to work closely with pet parents, addressing their needs and concerns, and ensuring their pets' safety and well-being. My experience at Whistle has given me a deep understanding of the importance of attentive and compassionate pet care. For several years, I've been a committed volunteer at the Marine Mammal Center. Here, I've received extensive training in emergency medical procedures for seals, sea lions, and otters. My responsibilities include administering medications, shots, and subcutaneous fluids, equipping me with the skills to handle a wide range of medical situations. In 2022, I sought a new challenge and began volunteering as a foster parent for the Humane Society. Over the course of a year, I had the privilege of fostering 12 cats, each with unique personalities, ages, and health conditions. This experience has made me adept at managing diverse and sometimes challenging pet care scenarios. I understand that your pets are cherished family members, and I am dedicated to providing the same level of care and love that you would. Whether it's daily walks, administering medication, or providing a safe and loving home while you're away, I am here to ensure your pet's well-being and happiness. Pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine, seamlessly fitting into my life with great importance and dedication. Over the past 10 years, I have worked in the technology sector, leading customer support teams at prominent companies such as Tesla, Whistle, Parrot, and Kittyhawk. Despite my demanding professional roles, I have always prioritized time for my passion for animals. Currently, I am leveraging my time for volunteering, especially after being impacted by the tech layoffs and undergoing a professional transition. This has allowed me to dedicate even more time to animal care. My days are structured around ensuring that pets under my care receive the attention, exercise, and medical needs they require. Whether it's providing daily walks, playtime, feeding, or administering medications, I ensure that each pet's needs are met with the utmost care and compassion. Volunteering has always been a significant part of my routine. My involvement with the Marine Mammal Center and fostering cats for the Humane Society has enriched my life and provided me with extensive hands-on experience in animal care. I dedicate several hours each week to these activities, maintaining a structured and consistent schedule to ensure I am always available for the animals that need me. Incorporating pet care into my routine is not just a responsibility but a passion that brings balance and fulfillment to my life. It allows me to stay active, engaged, and connected to the things I love most—caring for and improving the lives of animals. Caring for pets, whether in my home or my clients' homes, is a responsibility I approach with the utmost dedication, compassion, and attention to detail. My goal is to ensure every pet feels loved, secure, and happy while under my care, and I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each animal. When caring for pets in their own homes, I strive to maintain their usual routines and environment, which helps minimize stress and anxiety. I take the time to understand each pet's specific needs, habits, and preferences. Whether it's daily visits, dog walking, feeding, or administering medications, I follow detailed instructions to ensure consistency and comfort for the pets. I provide companionship and attention, making sure each pet receives plenty of love and interaction. For dogs, this might include walks, play sessions, and basic training reinforcement. For cats, it could mean engaging them with toys, grooming, and providing quiet lap time. I am vigilant about the safety and security of the home, ensuring doors and gates are properly closed and maintaining a clean and tidy environment. Regardless of the service provided, my priority is to create a nurturing and loving atmosphere where pets feel cherished and cared for. I am committed to building trust and a positive relationship with each pet, understanding that they are more than just animals—they are beloved members of the family. My experience and passion for animal care guide everything I do, ensuring that every pet receives the highest standard of care and attention.
About: I’ve worked with cats and dogs, especially rescue dogs, of all sizes for 5 years now. As someone who at one point wanted to become a vet, I have plenty of experience caring for sick pets. I help socialize dogs at a local rescue so I also have experience walking dogs and teaching them leash skills as well as other basic manners if necessary. I am comfortable with dogs of any size or age and I promise to love and care for your pet as if they were my own. I never go out without my phone so you can reach me at any moment while I care for your pet. I also have a driver’s license and my own car. I love going on hikes, and I’d be more than happy to take your dog on hikes if that’s something you’d be interested in.
“Gary has been an incredible find as my dog walker! From the moment he met Mylo, it was evident he genuinely cares for animals. Mylo comes back from his walks with Gary positively radiant, clearly having enjoyed his time. I greatly appreciate Gary's willingness to let Mylo play in the park during their walks or spend a little extra time playing after the walks. Thanks a lot.”

Santa Clara dog parents share their Rover experiences
Ankit was an exceptional dog sitter! He showed remarkable patience not only with the dogs but also with the owner, which made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. His calm demeanor and clear experience with animals were evident from the start. The dogs responded well to him, and I felt completely at ease knowing they were in capable hands. I highly recommend Ankit to anyone looking for a reliable, kind, and experienced dog sitter.
Ethel was 12/10 !!! She was very communicative and fast to respond. She always thought about my dogs comfortable when it came to the heat and timing the walks so he wouldn’t overheat or hurt his paws. I always get very nervous leaving my boys with someone new but she made them feel right at home which means SO MUCH to me.

So glad I found Kayla! She was super sweet, reliable, easy to communicate with, and took such great care of my two dogs. This was my first time hiring someone to care for my pups, and she made it such a positive experience. I’d happily book again and recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy with their dogs!

Tim charmed our pup quickly and impressed us with his calm sensitive approach. Mitzi had never had a dog walker or another caregiver since we adopted her last fall, and has tended to be a bit anxious. It was a very positive experience for all of us. Tim was great about communicating and Mitzi was in fine spirits when we got home.

Reese has been (and continues to be) an amazing friend to my crazy malinois mix boy, visiting weekly for the past few years. He understands my dog's fears, reactivity triggers, and his vocal songs when he's almost home from his walks. Can't rave enough about how much I appreciate him!
