“Li is a terrific cat sitter! I felt confident having her cat sit after meeting her. She made friends with my cat Rosie right away, talking to her, playing with her, and understanding Rosie’s every need. I loved getting daily photos and videos of Rosie while I was away. I do think Rosie misses her now that I’m home!”

About: Hi! I’m a psychology graduate student and lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, and other exotic pets. I have experience with puppies, kittens, senior animals, and I am comfortable administering medications when needed. I also volunteer in animal-assisted therapy at a local shelter and have worked with animals of all temperaments—from energetic and playful to shy, anxious, or medically complex pets requiring extra patience and attentive care. As a graduate student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. I'm available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, and I'm happy to work with your pet's routine whenever possible. I always follow your instructions closely and maintain your pet’s normal routine to help them feel secure while you're away. I provide care in your home, where your pet is most comfortable in their familiar environment.
“We had a great experience with Hsuan-Chu. She took such good care of our cats and really spent time playing with them, which they loved. Clove is usually pretty shy and nervous around new people, but she actually felt comfortable with Hsuan-Chu and even warmed up to her, which meant a lot to us. Cumin also enjoyed spending time with her and clearly had a great time playing. Communication was easy, we always got thoughtful updates, and we could tell they were both happy and well cared for. We’d definitely book with her again.”

“Rita was fantastic! We truly appreciated her initiative in suggesting the meet and greet. She was exceptional with our hound dogs during the multiple drop-in visits. Rita was thorough and proactive, always reaching out if she had any questions. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone in need of pet care!”

“Keilah was such a great sitter. She was very quick to respond, very accommodating, and spent plenty of time making sure the pups were entertained while she dropped in for the hour. Definitely would book again!”

“Jie was amazing and really exceeded my expectations. I had her pop by for a few hours to spend time with my 11 year old and 1 year old French Bulldogs. She walked both dogs twice, encouraged play time, and fed them. She sent photos and updates and even cleaned the dogs bowls after the dogs ate. She is exceptional!!”

About: I've loved dogs my entire life and grew up helping take care of my dog my childhood and adolescence. He was my best friend and has a permanent space in my heart. I think about him everyday. I have a deep emotional connection and love for dogs and their pure, unconditional love. It is a privilege to spend any time with these angels on Earth. I'm currently studying on my own, so I have plenty of time and flexibility to give your pups tender, loving care. Apart from a ~2hr commitment M-Th evenings and sometimes some wknd plans (known in advance), I am very flexible an can work with you based on your needs. I can come to your place to take care of your pet as needed--ranging from taking him/her for a walk to spending the day/night with them.
About: I offer a dedicated boarding space for cats in my quiet, dog-free, and kid-free home. With over 15 years of experience, I specialize in caring for senior cats and those with specific health needs, such as arthritis and digestive sensitivities. For cats with sensitive stomachs, I am very disciplined with feeding schedules and can strictly follow any specialized diet or supplement routine to prevent GI upset. I know how to spot subtle signs of discomfort and will ensure your cat remains stable and stress-free while staying with me. I work a full-time professional job (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM), so your cat should be comfortable being alone during the day. I have an automatic feeder available if they require small, frequent meals. When I am home, they get my full attention. I provide daily photo updates and reports so you can have peace of mind knowing they are safe and happy. Your cat will stay in a private, dedicated room inside my home. The room features two large windows for sunbathing and watching the local "wildlife"—we often have squirrels, birds, neighborhood cats, and butterflies visiting our yard. • For Seniors: I provide pet stairs and low furniture so they can enjoy the window views without needing to jump. • For Long-haired Cats: I offer daily brushing and cleaning (eyes, ears, and sanitary trims if needed). • Health & Hygiene: I provide RO filtered water and maintain a very clean environment. • Social: My own cat will never interact with yours unless you specifically request it. Your cat’s safety and privacy are my priority.
“She was very punctual with her time, paid close attention to detail, and took great care of my pet. She had excellent communication skills and respected the house, going above and beyond to ensure my pet’s well-being.”

About: Everyone on here walks, but does your dog need an extra workout? I am willing to stroll, walk, play, and even run with your pup! I have two family dogs (Santita and Elphaba) who I love running with. While my living situation does not allow pets, I would be delighted to walk or pet sit your fluffy friend with the same respect, love, and care as my own. For walks and check ins, I am available in the mornings through 4pm everyday. My August/Fall schedule has not been confirmed as I will be starting a new job. Don’t let that stop you from reaching out, I am very flexible and am sure we can work out a schedule that fits your pets’ needs! Please contact me for more information on overnight stays. I will keep you notified on our events throughout the walk or stay. I will ensure your pets have enough water and food before I leave. Any kennels are locked and toys are put away. I double check kennel and house locks and wait a few minutes to make sure the pups don’t get out.
“Liya did a great job cat sitting my boys. They both seemed to enjoy her company very much. I didn't need to worry about them while on vacation because she sent updates and pictures regularly. Would definitely book Liya again next time. Thanks!”

About: I have hands-on experience with dogs at every stage of life from energetic puppies who are still figuring out the world, to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I'm comfortable administering medications, so owners of older or special-needs dogs can leave with real peace of mind. Dog care is woven into my day from start to finish. Mornings start with a walk, which sets a calm, positive tone for the whole day. I check in at midday to make sure every pup is comfortable and getting attention, and afternoons are reserved for playtime and activity. As the day winds down, I shift into a quieter evening routine to help dogs feel settled and secure before bed. When needed, I stay overnight so there's always a familiar face nearby. Because I work a flexible schedule, I'm not rushing between commitments. Dogs in my care get genuine, unhurried attention throughout the day, not just the leftover parts of it. When I care for a dog in their own home, my goal is simple — keep everything as normal as possible so they barely notice their owner is gone. I follow the routine the owner already has in place: same feeding times, same walking schedule, same house rules. For senior dogs especially, that consistency makes a real difference in keeping them calm and comfortable. For puppies, I stay attentive and keep a close eye to make sure they're safe and not getting into anything they shouldn't. I treat every client's home with care and respect, and owners can count on regular updates and photos throughout the day so they always know their dog is in good hands

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Clara
Kexin really cared about my cat and took the time to get to know her personality and quirks to provide a calming and enjoyable experience. I would absolutely book again just for the kindness and compassion not to mention the care she took to keep everything clean and orderly.

This was my second time booking with Hejie, and she was amazing as always! She’s patient, caring, and very detail-oriented. She took wonderful care of my cat, Boba, and kept me updated throughout each visit. It’s such a relief knowing Boba is in such good hands. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely book with her again!

Qianwen was wonderful with my cat. She is extremely responsible, punctual, and organized, and I really appreciated that she thoughtfully considered what would be best for my cat. Communication with her was always smooth; she was patient, very responsive, and even reminded us ahead of time when the wet food was running low and helped organize everything. Most importantly, my cat really liked her and was happy to play with her. Since she also lives in the same community, it was super convenient. I’d definitely love to book with her again!

This was our first time using Sara when our usual sitter was unavailable and she was great! She was very attentive during the initial meeting and it's very assuring to have a vet tech as our sitter as our cat gets older. She took fantastic care of our cat, going above and beyond! She sent lots of photos as well.

Ivan is very kind, detail oriented, and trust worthy as a pet sitter. We have three cats and two of them are high maintenance. Ivan was careful to give our cats their medications and daily walks outside. He played with them and frequently sent us pictures. He seemed to understand just how important our cats are to us.

Maya and I are both so happy with Suzanne’s care while I was out of town for a long weekend. She made sure all of Maya’s needs were taken care of (food, water, medication, etc), but she also spent time giving her company, attention, and love while I was away. Since Maya is a senior kitty, it was especially reassuring to know she was in such caring hands. Suzanne gave me real peace of mind, and I never had to worry about how Maya was doing while I was gone. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and dependable cat sitter.

I’ve had Sora take care of my senior cat multiple times already while Im away and feel confident that I’m leaving my cat in good hands. My cat needs to be given several medications and Sora is able to handle that with no issues. She also updates me regularly. Will definitely rebook in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
