About: I've been around animals since I was a kid and currently care for a cat and 2 budgies! I've helped friends out in the past by pet sitting cats, chickens, and a tortoise. I also love dogs and do well around them. I love animals of all kinds and I'm experienced and prepared to give your pets the best care possible while you're gone to make sure they feel comfortable and safe! I'm currently on summer break, so I have plenty of time on my hands to care for your animals! Until I go back to university in mid-August, I'm free to take on jobs any time besides between July 9th-July 14th. I will provide incredible care for any pets you may have. I'm patient and understanding of each animal's unique needs and personalities. I can send updates and pictures of each visit so you know your pets are doing well.
“Michelle was great with our pups! Responded last minute to our request for a drop in visit during a family emergency and she was great. Sent nice photos and pups seemed to like her. Will definitely use her services again! Thanks Michelle!”

About: I grew up with a dog for 18 years, watching him go from playful pup to wise old boy. I've experienced every stage of a dog's life firsthand — young, middle-aged, and senior — so I'm comfortable and caring no matter your dog's age I am able to walk dogs and do drop-in visits. I have a flexible schedule at the moment, so I can adjust to you and your pet's needs! I Since I offer dog walking, most of my care happens out in the neighborhood. I always keep dogs secure on leash, stay attentive, and make sure every walk is safe and enjoyable.
“Adrienne was absolutely wonderful with our sweet Rocky! He took to her right away, and it was clear from the start that he was comfortable and happy in her care. She was reliable, conscientious, and attentive, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking Adrienne again. Highly recommend!”

“Linda has been great with Waffles. She is reliable, always responds quickly to messages, and has helped me out on short notice when my plans changed suddenly. Waffles clearly has a great time from the cute pics Linda always shares. I would highly recommend Linda to anyone!”
“Haley is so kind and caring, she was very patient with my cat Jesse and went above and beyond in taking care of him. We’d definitely book her time again to check in on our cat when we are away.”
“Anahita took excellent care of our cat, while we were away. She was punctual, professional, and very responsive, and her kindness toward our cat gave me complete peace of mind. Seeing photos of Ms. Moushi happily lounging and cuddling with her was so reassuring. We’ll absolutely be using her help again.”

About: Pets have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. There's always been a cat curled up somewhere or a dog waiting by the door, and taking care of them has never felt like a chore to me. It's just what I do. I work from home, so I'm around a lot during the day and can usually work around your schedule, even for midday visits or last-minute plans. If I'm looking after your pet, you'll hear from me. I like sending updates and photos so you actually get to see how your dog or cat is doing, not just a generic "all good" message. I'm new to Rover, but pets have never been new to me. I'll take care of yours the way I'd want someone to take care of my own. I work remotely, which means I'm home most days and have some flexibility built into my schedule. I can usually fit in midday drop-ins, walks between meetings, or last-minute visits that a lot of sitters with traditional 9-to-5 jobs can't accommodate. Afternoons and evenings tend to be my most open windows, but I'm generally easy to reach and can adjust as needed. I treat your space and your pet's routine with respect. I follow the feeding, medication, and care instructions you provide exactly as given, and I keep your home secure the whole time I'm there. I pay close attention to your pet's body language and comfort level, especially with cats or nervous dogs who need a little more patience before they warm up to someone new. If anything seems off with your pet or your home while I'm there, I'll let you know right away.
About: I’ve been dog sitting, walking, and providing overnight care for several years, working with dogs of all sizes—from Chihuahuas to Great Dane mixes. I’m comfortable with energetic, playful dogs as well as shy or fearful pups who need patience and reassurance. For the past several months, I’ve taken shelter dogs on field trips through County of Santa Clara Animal Services, where I’ve gained experience handling dogs in new environments, on hikes, and in stimulating settings. This has strengthened my leash handling, situational awareness, and ability to read canine body language. I also have experience with both senior dogs and puppies. I understand that seniors may need a slower pace and gentle care, while puppies require consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement. My goal is always to make your dog feel safe, exercised, and loved while you’re away :) As a student, I have a structured but flexible schedule which allows me to consistently fit pet care into my daily routine. I’m typically available for morning, midday, and evening drop-in visits, and I plan my class schedule to allow time for reliable pet care commitments. Pet care fits naturally into my week—whether that means morning walks before class, midday drop-ins, or evening visits and overnights. I’m organized and intentional about managing my time, so I only accept bookings I can fully commit to. On weekends, I have even greater flexibility for longer visits, extended stays, or multiple drop-ins per day. I prioritize clear communication and reliability so you can feel confident your pet is in consistent, attentive care! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, walk routes, house rules, and any specific behavioral needs. Safety is always my top priority. I double-check doors, gates, and harnesses, remain attentive on walks, and closely monitor pets during visits. I’m mindful of potential hazards and ensure your home is left exactly as I found it—clean, secure, and respected. I also provide regular updates with photos and messages so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet and home is a big responsibility, and I treat both with the highest level of care and respect.
About: I grew up with cats which was an awesome part of my childhood. More recently I've had the pleasure of having labradors. I recently lost my senior labrador of 13 years 8 months. I've also cared for friends and family cats and dogs of all varieties. I enjoy getting to know the pets personality, quirks and preferences. I enjoy meeting them all, young and old, spry and calm, toy chaser or mellow chewer. I worked as a Vet Tech trainee for 18 months while enrolled in Vet Tech classes at Foothill College. I work from home or anywhere with WiFi access. My work is flexible as far as schedule so I can work with the dogs schedule. I have a yard which has chicken netting to prevent the dog going down into the creek. But I supervise dogs closely when they are outside.
“Carina is wonderful, I felt so comfortable having her watch my cat for a full week. She sent the cutest pictures and went above and beyond what I expected. I could tell from the photos that hattie was getting so much love, affection, and attention while I was away. I will definitely be booking again with Carina next time I’m out of town!”

“Stacey was wonderful! She truly went above and beyond to make sure our babies felt loved and safe. Stacey was great with communicating and made sure to reach out with any questions. She sent updates every day with pictures, and did more than we had asked (scooped the kitty litter every day, cleaned a bowl I had left in the sink, etc). This was the first time I had come home after having a pet sitter where my babies were obviously relaxed and happy, it was such a relief. I was able to enjoy my trip without being stressed about home. I will definitely work with Stacey again should the need arise.”

About: I'm responsible, easygoing, and genuinely love spending time with dogs. I've been wanting to get a dog of my own, but the timing isn't quite right yet. Caring for dogs through Rover is a great opportunity for me to spend time with them and spend more time outdoors. I work full time as a manager during the day, so I focus on providing care before and after work, in the evenings after 4:00pm, and on weekends. While I'm newer to pet sitting, I have lived with over 12 dogs and cats. I take safety and trust very seriously. As a manager in my full time career, I am dependable and attentive to details. I understand that every dog has unique needs.
“Ching-Chi was absolutely amazing! She takes great care of your furry loved ones! She provided excellent service! I had her “drop in” on my cat Darla while I was away. She was always on time, and sent me daily updates and photos. She followed my instructions perfectly. In fact, I would say she went above and beyond, and exceeded my expectations. I would 100% ask her to watch my cat again. 10/10 highly recommend Ching-Chi!”

About: I have been around dogs and cats all my life, with an occasional bird or rabbit. I love all animals. I am very particular about my own cat’s care, so I am willing and ready to give your pet that same respect. It’s hard to be away and worry about your pet, that’s why it matters who cares for them. I work 3 days a week, I can be flexible on availability the days I am off. It isn’t a set schedule, and varies from week to week. I value my cat as a member of the family. I look forward to being a small part of your pets day. Meeting new animals and getting to interact with them is always fun!
About: I understand how important it is to make sure your fur baby is well taken care of while you are away. I provide peace of mind for you when you are away from them. I provide lots of cuddles, playtime, and continuous communication with picture updates about your babies. I have had so much experience growing up on a vet farm with dogs, cats, chickens, horses and cows. I also have pets of my own who need pet sitting once in a while and have found some of the best pet sitters on Rover. I do require a meet and greet to make sure everyone is a good fit before I accept a booking. I am currently available to pet sit for most weekends. We have a fully fenced in yard with a large grassy area for play. Your dog is invited to feel at home with us depending on your preferences. I live in a great safe neighborhood to provide long walks or playtime at the doggy park nearby. I work from home three days a week and am available to take multiple walks depending on the weather. Weekends are adventure time. We can hike, play fetch or run at the two large local parks. We have a fully fenced yard for all day fun. I take multiple walks to take a break from the computer and welcome walks in our safe neighborhood.

Adrienne was absolutely wonderful with our sweet Rocky! He took to her right away, and it was clear from the start that he was comfortable and happy in her care. She was reliable, conscientious, and attentive, giving us complete peace of mind while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking Adrienne again. Highly recommend!

We recently had Victoria sit for our senior dog. She provided first class attention and love for our dog. She followed our instructions and we didn’t need to worry about leaving our pet. We would have Victoria come again whenever we needed a pet sitter. Thank you, Victoria!
We are so fortunate to have found Katherine on Rover to take care of our dogs. She is a very caring and detail-oriented person. She bonded with our dogs quickly and provided them with the care we had hoped for. Her daily communication on the status of our dogs was fantastic. I would highly recommend Katherine to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, caring, and detail oriented pet sitter. We hope to work with her again.

Pam was awesome! She clearly loves dogs and is very knowledgeable about their needs and behaviors. My dog loves people but lacks confidence when it comes to other dogs. She offered some tips and worked with my girl to build her confidence during their walks. Pam took great care of my pup and we’ll definitely be working with her again!

Itzel did a wonderful job taking care of Laddoo while we were away! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly put in effort to make him comfortable. Laddoo can be shy with new people, but Itzel was patient and consistent with playtime and treats, which really helped him warm up to her. She followed his care routine carefully and sent helpful updates after each visit. There was one evening when she had car trouble and arrived late, but she communicated proactively and made sure Laddoo was taken care of. She was also very receptive to feedback about safety concerns with the windows. We appreciated her genuine care and attention to detail. Would definitely book with Itzel again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
