“Linda has been great with Waffles. She is reliable, always responds quickly to messages, and has helped me out on short notice when my plans changed suddenly. Waffles clearly has a great time from the cute pics Linda always shares. I would highly recommend Linda to anyone!”
“Kate took care of my two cats while I was away for a few days, and I’ve never felt so at ease leaving them in someone else’s hands. It was clear from the first visit my cats fell in love with her (even my shy boy!!) and I was just excited to see how sweet they were being each visit. My cats were happy to see me when I got home, but I could tell they had plenty of love and attention while I was gone. Can’t recommend Kate enough, especially if you’re not only looking for someone to care for your pets but to become their best friend as well!”

“Vanessa took great care of our shy 16 year old cat while we were out of town for a few days, including making sure she got her medicine at breakfast and dinner. We were able to fully enjoy our trip, knowing that Gadget was being well taken care of. We highly recommend Vanessa and will definitely hire her to look after Gadget again in the future.”
“Ching-Chi did a wonderful job caring for our pets. She came on time for the drop-in visits every day, and was very communicative, providing lots of photos of our happy pets. She is very conscientious and professional as well as being kind to the animals she cares for. I highly recommend her!”

“Carina is wonderful, I felt so comfortable having her watch my cat for a full week. She sent the cutest pictures and went above and beyond what I expected. I could tell from the photos that hattie was getting so much love, affection, and attention while I was away. I will definitely be booking again with Carina next time I’m out of town!”

“Stacey was a fabulous sitter for our cat River. She was super communicative throughout not at all flustered by our escapologist cat! She paid her tonnes of attention and obvious has a very genuine love for animals. Very very highly recommended!”
About: I grew up with cats which was an awesome part of my childhood. More recently I've had the pleasure of having labradors. I recently lost my senior labrador of 13 years 8 months. I've also cared for friends and family cats and dogs of all varieties. I enjoy getting to know the pets personality, quirks and preferences. I enjoy meeting them all, young and old, spry and calm, toy chaser or mellow chewer. I worked as a Vet Tech trainee for 18 months while enrolled in Vet Tech classes at Foothill College. I work from home or anywhere with WiFi access. My work is flexible as far as schedule so I can work with the dogs schedule. I have a yard which has chicken netting to prevent the dog going down into the creek. But I supervise dogs closely when they are outside.
About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs & cats, as well as my friends’ for the last 15 years. I have experience with big ones, small ones, feisty, friendly… they all deserve all the love. I’m currently working part-time, mostly off my phone, so I will have plenty of time to have quality time with your pet(s)! I’ve had animals with a more regimented schedule & others that are low maintenance- happy to accommodate both. I have a fenced yard & a small senior Shih Tzu to keep your animal company! There’s also lots of parks in the area- both with other dogs, or more private.
About: I’ve been working with animals for several years through fostering and volunteering with rescue organizations. I’ve fostered two small-breed dogs, helping them adjust to new environments and preparing them for their forever homes. In addition, I’ve volunteered at an animal shelter where I cared for both cats and medium- to large-sized dogs, so I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes and personalities. I’m currently a university student on summer break, so I have a very flexible schedule and am available most days of the week. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in, a long walk, playtime, or just some company, I’m happy to work around their routine and make sure they get the attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I’m very detail-oriented and pay close attention to my surroundings to make sure pets aren’t put into situations that could be unsafe. I enjoy playing with animals, but I’m never rough and always adjust to each pet’s personality and energy level. If your dog loves to run and play, I’m happy to keep up with them, while still making sure they stay safe. I also believe that many accidents can be prevented with careful supervision, so I make it a priority to stay attentive and never let negligence become a source of harm. I’ll treat your pet with the same level of care and caution that I would my own.

About: Pets have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. There's always been a cat curled up somewhere or a dog waiting by the door, and taking care of them has never felt like a chore to me. It's just what I do. I work from home, so I'm around a lot during the day and can usually work around your schedule, even for midday visits or last-minute plans. If I'm looking after your pet, you'll hear from me. I like sending updates and photos so you actually get to see how your dog or cat is doing, not just a generic "all good" message. I'm new to Rover, but pets have never been new to me. I'll take care of yours the way I'd want someone to take care of my own. I work remotely, which means I'm home most days and have some flexibility built into my schedule. I can usually fit in midday drop-ins, walks between meetings, or last-minute visits that a lot of sitters with traditional 9-to-5 jobs can't accommodate. Afternoons and evenings tend to be my most open windows, but I'm generally easy to reach and can adjust as needed. I treat your space and your pet's routine with respect. I follow the feeding, medication, and care instructions you provide exactly as given, and I keep your home secure the whole time I'm there. I pay close attention to your pet's body language and comfort level, especially with cats or nervous dogs who need a little more patience before they warm up to someone new. If anything seems off with your pet or your home while I'm there, I'll let you know right away.
“Donna was a blessing to our dog and our family. She is an excellent communicator and took wonderful care of our dog for one day. We had peace of mind knowing our prescious dog was in such caring hands while we were away.”

“Madison was great as always watching our cat this week. We’ve booked her multiple times now and have been noting but happy with her pet sitting and communication every time. She will continue to be our go to when we need to hire someone to watch our animals.”

About: I'm responsible, easygoing, and genuinely love spending time with dogs. I've been wanting to get a dog of my own, but the timing isn't quite right yet. Caring for dogs through Rover is a great opportunity for me to spend time with them and spend more time outdoors. I work full time as a manager during the day, so I focus on providing care before and after work, in the evenings after 4:00pm, and on weekends. While I'm newer to pet sitting, I have lived with over 12 dogs and cats. I take safety and trust very seriously. As a manager in my full time career, I am dependable and attentive to details. I understand that every dog has unique needs.

“Thank you so much Chloe for taking such good care of the kitties! I loved getting your photos while away - seeing the kitties having a great time with you really eased any concerns I had about being away”

I provide lots of cuddles, playtime, and continuous communication with picture updates about your babies. I have had so much experience growing up on a vet farm with dogs, cats, chickens, horses and cows. I also have pets of my own who need pet sitting once in a while and have found some of the best pet sitters on Rover. I do require a meet and greet to make sure everyone is a good fit before I accept a booking. I am currently available to pet sit for most weekends. We have a fully fenced in yard with a large grassy area for play. Your dog is invited to feel at home with us depending on your preferences. I live in a great safe neighborhood to provide long walks or playtime at the doggy park nearby. I work from home three days a week and am available to take multiple walks depending on the weather. Weekends are adventure time. We can hike, play fetch or run at the two large local parks. We have a fully fenced yard for all day fun. I take multiple walks to take a break from the computer and welcome walks in our safe neighborhood.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Saratoga
Itzel did a wonderful job taking care of Laddoo while we were away! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly put in effort to make him comfortable. Laddoo can be shy with new people, but Itzel was patient and consistent with playtime and treats, which really helped him warm up to her. She followed his care routine carefully and sent helpful updates after each visit. There was one evening when she had car trouble and arrived late, but she communicated proactively and made sure Laddoo was taken care of. She was also very receptive to feedback about safety concerns with the windows. We appreciated her genuine care and attention to detail. Would definitely book with Itzel again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Saratoga. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
