“Kristin provided excellent care for my Lizzy. She was punctual and ensured Lizzy well entertained in my absence. I’d highly recommend Kristin to anyone looking for to take care for their animal when away. Thank you, Kristin”

“My trip was just over two weeks which can be a bit stressful for Monty but Anahita took great care of him, kept his long fur brushed, gave him some outdoor and play time. She also took good care of my indoor/outdoor plants thru the hot weather, as well as mail and trash. This is my second time hiring Anahita and she will be my first choice of sitter for future trips! Thanks Anahita!!”

“Athena was fantastic with my 2 kittens. They’re still a bit mischievous and she went above and beyond to make sure they remained safe while I was gone. She was very responsive and I would absolutely book with her again!”

“Caroline was so wonderful!! She was prompt, responsible, and sent so many photos each day. She was great with my kitty who adored her and even sacrificed some of her own hair ties for her to play with!”

“Kate was incredible. She was super communicative and did a great job taking care of our fur baby ❤️ it’s great to be able to enjoy leaving town knowing our doggo will be well taken care of!”

About: I've been walking and caring for dogs every chance I've gotten for the past 8 years for neighbors, friends, and family. Excited to get to know you and your furry one! {Hello pet parents! As of now I am looking to fill my afternoon schedule! Most morning/noon availability is unavailable. I appreciate your business and consideration!} I'm currently a nursing student looking to fill my free time with your wonderful pets! I believe in safety foremost, under any and all circumstances. Having your pets' best interest at heart means that while under my care, they are in a safe and trusted environment at all times. Whether I'm pet sitting in your home or walking your pet around the neighborhood, their wellbeing is my priority.
“Nasrin has been a blessing! I just moved to the area and needed someone to drop in on my doodle for an hour a day while I work 12 hour shifts. Nasrin was so quick to respond when I requested her services and she requested a meet & greet (which I love when someone on Rover is willing to do that). From the first meet up I knew Finley and her would be a great match. She has always been prompt, great on communication, sends updates, brings in your packages, and of course, caters to your fur baby. Finley is always a happy boy after he sees Nasrin. She is very kind and respectful, and I highly recommend her services!”

“Tiana did a great job with our cats! We booked every other day of a 2 week trip and she was always on time and sent lots of pictures. She also vacuumed! I would definitely recommend her and will be booking her again soon!”

“Conner was great! Reliable, communicative, and he asked all the right questions. He even visited our home an extra time to bring in a perishable package that we'd forgotten was going to be delivered. His daily reports on how our cats were doing were excellent--just the right amount of detail. I'd recommend him without reservation.”

“Ching-Chi did a great job setting my cat! Highly recommended!!! Besides keeping my cat’s water food and litter well supplied and clean, she played with my cat every time and helped with the trash bin while we are absent. I will definitely book her services again for my next trip!”

“Linda has been great with Waffles. She is reliable, always responds quickly to messages, and has helped me out on short notice when my plans changed suddenly. Waffles clearly has a great time from the cute pics Linda always shares. I would highly recommend Linda to anyone!”
About: Hi, I'm Jamie! I've had up to 4 years of professional dog and catsitting experience and have established great relationships with a few recurring families. I've also grown up around dogs for my entire upbringing and am used to their behaviors, mannerisms, and how to handle them. I've had years of experience as a nanny as well, so I'm well equipped to care for both humans and animals, and how much attentiveness it requires. I have experience with different breeds as well as dogs with different temperaments. (Some with higher energy levels and some more timid and anxious.) I love dogs of all kinds and the playful energy they bring into my life. I consider myself to be a punctual, kind, and responsible individual. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets! I have a very flexible schedule with plenty of time to squeeze in the time necessary to care for animals. And since I love animals and the outdoor time, caring for them is an easy way to make sure I get to do both of those! I look out for behaviors that indicate when they might be feeling ill, or when they're needing to go outside to use the bathroom. I'll generally know when persistent barking or pawing indicates their hungry, or in need of potty or playtime. Given that I've grown up with dogs, I'm very used to scanning the environment for any potential crumbs or items they might find on the floor and am always checking to make sure doors are shut to prevent wandering.
“Chris was an amazing sitter for our little guy, Toby! After meeting Chris for the first time and seeing him with our dog, I knew he would be a good fit and had no qualms about having him take care of Toby. We booked Chris for 5 days while we went to visit family out of town. Our 5 day trip was unexpectedly extended when a snow storm cancelled our flight and we were unable to get on a new flight for another 5 days. Luckily, Chris was available (this was the week of Christmas and NYE!) and had no problem adjusting to our delay. He even went to the store to buy more dog food when we ran out! Overall, Chris is a really friendly guy and I will definitely book with him whenever we are in need!”

“Chloe is sweet and kind and good with animals. She was an amazing pet sitter for me. Always attentive and communicative, on time and saved me in a difficult situation! I’ve booked with her twice and I’m so happy I found such a lovely and responsible person for my cats.”

Itzel did a wonderful job taking care of Laddoo while we were away! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly put in effort to make him comfortable. Laddoo can be shy with new people, but Itzel was patient and consistent with playtime and treats, which really helped him warm up to her. She followed his care routine carefully and sent helpful updates after each visit. There was one evening when she had car trouble and arrived late, but she communicated proactively and made sure Laddoo was taken care of. She was also very receptive to feedback about safety concerns with the windows. We appreciated her genuine care and attention to detail. Would definitely book with Itzel again!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Saratoga. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
